Truly a fantastic accommodation - the rooms are charming, the beach clean, the view is breathtaking and they have not crammed the property full of rooms which means the gardens are really fantastic. I was very happy with the quality of the massage and restaurant too. I really recommend this place to unwind and relax.

I loved everything about my stay at KoYao… accommodating, kind, friendly staff, my villa was beautiful, the food was excellent, my spa services were wonderful. The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable and happy, they booked local tours for me, and even helped with clothing repair when I broke a zipper on my dress! Quite simply paradise.

Absolutely amazing stay! Thank you to the staff who are so kind and attentive. You people alone make the hotel a 10/10 stay.

The property is stunning. The view from the pool right alongside the beach was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Stayed in the panorama tent room. Incredible. Breakfast was a 10/10, and the dinner menu is amazing. Tried several items on the menu and everything was delicious!

Highly recommend. Would love to stay again one day!

We stayed on the hill in one of the luxury hornbill tents with a private pool. It was fabulous, but pricy. It was definitely worth the experience for us. We had floating breakfast in our little pool. It was amazing. We then moved down to one of the less expensive villas. These were older, less comfortable, more rustic. Ours was full of mosquitoes and a few other critters. The staff burned mossie coils and we slept under the netting, but there were still lots -- there is standing water next to the property. It may be different if you stay on the right side as you look at the ocean. Ours was in the corner on the left by the mangroves. The grounds are outstanding -- so beautiful. We saw hornbills on the property and really enjoyed the beauty of the beach and island views. The staff tried hard and were very pleasant and welcoming, but could be better trained. I think they are just coming back from COVID and are not up to full speed yet.

A unique place in Kao Noi, a unique settings and views of the bay surrounded by nature, sounds of gentle waves, birds (hornbills) with a very attentive staff.

Lovely location, enjoyed stay but lacks something.

This is a really lovely hotel in a great location but somehow it didn’t quite live up to expectations. It’s an expensive option but in a lot of ways had more of a feel of a 3/4 star than premium property.
Beach is fantastic and the longest frontage of any hotel I’ve stayed in, really clean sandy stretch and hardy anybody using it bar the odd hotel guest.
I’d avoid the cheapest sea breeze rooms unless you are comfortable being exposed to the elements and mosquitoes, at times we needed to sit in darkness to stop insects being drawn in. That said, the room was large and had a fantastic view and will wow you at first sight.
Restaurant was ok. Good breakfast choice of reasonable quality items although staff seemed to lack confidence and weren’t that attentive unless you asked. Other than breakfast we only ate lunch once there as it seemed rather expensive compared to the other local places scattered around the area who served comparable quality at around a third of the price
We liked the free use of bikes and kayaks etc.
Pool had a good location but water seemed a bit cloudy and the filtration seemed to leave a film and scum/leaf residue in corner.
Overall we would stay again if the rates were a cheaper or the standards upped a little to improve value.

Lovely place with phenomenal view form the pool, and outstanding stuff. Had a dinner in hotel’ restaurant; food was very good, as well as service. Got an upgrade on arrival to full size villa. It was an adequate size, comfy but slightly tired. Also lights on the deck above a bed were way to strong. I had to take off one light bulb. Dimmers should be installed.

his place is amazing!

What an amazing place! They really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, relaxing and memorable. From having someone greet us at the airport and take us to the speed boat to upgrading us to a seafront villa and even arranging a private romantic dinner for two - they were the best!!
The resort and the beach is clean, the staff are all friendly and so helpful, the Pum Pui restaurant is one of the best on the island and food is incredibly delicious! The rooms were spacious and comfortable (and they even had an outside shower). Im still day dreaming of being in the infinity pool that looked onto the Andaman Sea.
I honestly couldn't have asked for better. We did a lot of research of whether to stay on KYY or KYN and we're very happy we chose KYN and especially pleased with Koyao Island Resort.

This resort has it all! The rooms and staff are top notch, it’s on the best beach on the island, and next to the best restaurants. The bartender also makes the most fantastic cocktail we had in all of Thailand, the Tom Yam Siam. It’s a must!

Paradise, with all the *potential* to be a 5 star

We couldn't be happier that we chose to stay on Koh Yao Noi. The island is exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, beautiful, untarnished paradise. I did extensive research before deciding to book Koyao Island Resort.

We arrived on a longtail boat to the beachfront of the resort. Though after we arrived, we were nearly forgotten about. They were clearly busy (or understaffed) & no one took the time to figure out who we were, tell us about the resort and what we could expect, etc. We had to flag someone down to figure out next steps & were told we could leave our bags and our room would be ready in a few hours. And that was it. Not the best first impression. We then took the resort bikes to check out the area and have lunch while we were waiting for our room. The island itself is such a gem and I'd highly recommend taking time to check out the local shops, restaurants, hidden beaches, etc. The locals are SO friendly and everything feels very safe.

Our villa was wonderful, spacious, & well kept. Breakfast buffet is impressive though the service at breakfast was unfriendly and sparse. We also had to call the front desk multiple times to have someone fix our toilet. Upon leaving, we went to settle our bill & saw charges in error. What next ensued was a thorough interrogation before they acted like they were doing us a favor by removing charges that weren't ours. All the potential to be a 5-star experience but misses the mark when it comes to customer service.

Beautiful hotel on the beach! Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel - the room was amazing, the staff, especially Francis was so helpful, the restaurant delicious, and excursions really nice. We used the free mountain bikes to bike around the island. Love this place and its atmosphere!!

staff was very helpful, and the resort is extremely beautiful. no lock on the door to the room, so be aware of that.there is a safe though, so there’s that. overall, had an amazing stay. just be aware that this room is open to the environment, so no ac, and critters can get in easily if that sort of thing bothers you.

Great hotel to get away from the crowded tourist areas of Phuket/Krabi. The few number of rooms this hotel has is a big asset and adds to the overall tight-knit feeling of the resort. One improvement I would suggest is more attentive service from the restaurant/bar staff.

After staying in other properties around Thailand this place pales in comparison. While going for rustic chic this resort comes off as just rustic and highly overpriced. The toilet and the sink in the bathroom do not work properly. Little privacy in our room located over the bar and next to the restaurant. We go to bed early and can hear the clanking and talking from the common areas below. Staff management tries to make up for the poor service and accommodations but they just do not have the skill set or finesse. However , the spa services were exceptional.

Hotel is excellent, the island is small and not much to do but thats exactly what we wanted. Breakfast is included and it was great. Rooms are awesome and great view. The hotel does complimentary tours, drinks every other night, yoga and fun stuff every night. The tours are expensive through the hotel so I would recommend to find one outside the hotel. Also getting in and out back to phuket is much cheaper by public transportation.

Koyao Island Resort is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. The photos online don't really do the place justice - I was nervous beforehand about whether it would be worth the money when there are alternatives on the island. Let me reassure you - it is. You wouldn't believe that a resort with no air conditioning, no walls, no locks on the doors would be comfortable; but the climate is such that the sea breeze really does cool you down at night. The restaurant was good although we thought drinks were a bit expensive. There is a little shop down the road where you can get drinks and snacks.

Not a Resort

While Koyao does have some charm and ambience and the staff was friendly it's not a resort. It's a small, nice, open air room hotel with no air conditioning. Although it's on a beach, it's a tiny beach not much for laying out and there is one smallish pool. The spa treatment I had was well done but the facility itself was outdated and there was no hot water so after my body scrub I had to shower in cold water. For what you pay in high season, it's not worth it in my opinion. In low season perhaps a better value but falls short on luxury.

Wake up in paradise

Very relaxing, quiet, very nice, romantic room. A refreshing morning shower in the garden with the early sun shining on your face. Splendid sunrise above the rocky ilses and a gorgeous full moon rising up in the evening at the same spot. Very quiet and spaceous place at the beach; good food and many possiblities to do things outside the hotel.

We - my wife and two young kids (10 months, 2 years) - thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the the Koyao resort. The location and scenery beautiful, the staff friendly, the food tasty (try the served-in-a-coconut green curry) and the Thai massages at the spa a joy. We will return!

Little Oasis

The island and the resort are a tranquil oasis from the more built up areas of Phuket and Krabi. If you are looking for a relaxing place to get away from the crowds, then this is a great place to spend some time.

Its 5 star camping with bungalows overlooking the gardens and the beach.

They have great excursions that are worth the money. Staff are friendly and helpful but Yao Noi is real island life so don't expect anything to be rushed.

Right on the beach, in a stunning location overlooking the islands of Phang Nga Bay, Koyao Island Resort has to be one of the best value resorts in the Phuket area, a little over an hour by boat from Phuket island. We stayed in one of the 'residences' which are spacious, extremely well furnished (including a large and fuly equipped kitchen) and mosquito proof in the wet season.uiet, peacful, and lLots to do exploring the close by islands by long tail boat, snorkelling, kayaking, or just lazing by the beach or pool. Closest village with supplies is a 10 minute scooter ride away, and you can ride around the island by bicycle in 40 minutes - both available from the resort. Very friendly and helpful staff, and excellent massage/spa. OK restaurant - but there are a number of very good and cheap local food stalls within a few minutes walk. We'll be back.

A cool hotel that is a one of its kind.

This hotel might not be for everyone, but it was certainly for us.. We got as close as we would want to be to a Castaway adventure. The hotel has a way of making you feel you are its only guests, with lots of time in the pool, the ocean, the beach or the restaurant with no one else around. The service is great, but never in your face. The villas are truly special, particularly the ones closet to the Adaman Sea and with the bed (covered by mosquito netting) facing out to the sea. The villas are spacious and give you the feeling you are sleeping under the stars. With that said it is protected from the elements and gives you a spectacular view of the surrounding islands and boats. The outside shower is really special. We used the complimentary bikes to travel around the island and it is a island that has many special hidden beaches and a really nice market area. Although the hotels restaurant has great variety and all the food is great, try some of the local restaurants surrounding the resort, you will not be disappointed. If you get a chance to see this unique part of the world, take the long boat ride to the Koyoa Resort that will leave you with memories of a lifetime and a desire to go back and experience it all over again.

We had 7 nights at the resort from 12th September. Whilst it is small resort (15)villas, the grounds were large and each villa was secluded with privacy. All Villas faced the beach and had fantastic views of the Similan Islands. The staff were enthusiastic and very service orientated which reflects on good management. The resort offered most enjoyable meals all day and apart from a tour and an island visit we were happy to eat and stay at that resort. They have a good happy hour and free Thai Tea in the afternoons. If you are looking for a place to totally relax amongst some of the world's finest scenery of Granite Islands then this resort will not disappoint as will a visit to Ko Hong which is absolutely an amazing island directly opposite the resort. The Island of Yao Noi is well worth taking a tour to see and experience the rural aspect of Thai life with fishing, rubber and rice along with coconuts and pineapples. A mention is appropriate about the accommodation which is not air conditioned. Initially we were concerned but we found that the overhead fans worked well due to the design of the building which is based on the original Thai style for that area. We were most comfortable and found that the monsoon season was enjoyable with rain mostly in the evenings. What we did not miss was no TV or windows. We will enjoy returning as we rate the resort and its location to the Similan islands as one of the best we have seen in SE Asia.

Best Vacation Ever

We spent five days at Koyao Island Resort as a diversion from a business trip and it was fabulous to say the least. The resort has 15 rooms that open up to the most amazing ocean views. We were looking for a getaway that would allow us to escape the grid and reboot from our busy lives. The friendly and helpful staff, great food, spa treatments and amazing accomodations were way more than we imagined. We also enjoyed biking the island and seeing the locals, the rubber trees and rice paddies. Definitely gets you in touch with life in off-the-beaten-path Thailand. Great people.

Heavenly, relaxing and so so beautiful.

We spent 6 nights at the resort and loved every minute. Very quiet and relaxing, take plenty of books with you as no tv or radio in the rooms. The main bar/restaurant area does have a TV mainly for the kids so you aren't complelety cut off. Yoga on the lawn was something I didn't know about before I went. We hired a bike most days and got to know the island quiet well. Also did a day boat trip, which was very worthwhile - snorkelling etc.

Dieses Hotel ist einfach ein Traum.
Vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag haben wir uns rundum wohl gefühlt.
Da wir während der Regenzeit dort waren, haben wir darum gebeten unsere eigentlich gebuchte Zimmerkategorie (panorama Tent - liegt etwa 500 Meter entfernt/oberhalb des eigentlichen Hotels) gegen einen Beachbungalow eintauschen zu dürfen.
Dies war ohne Probleme möglich.
Der Beachbungalow war , ebenso wie das Panorama Tent, einfach traumhaft schön.

Roller konnten wir direkt im Hotel ausleihen. ( 450 BHT für 24 Stunden)
Zum Frühstück konnte man zwischen diversen Speisen wählen. Diese wurden einen dann direkt an den Tisch gebracht.

Die erste Fähre zurück ans Festland verlässt die Insel um 6.35 Uhr
Dies sollte man beachten, sofern der Rückflug bereits früh am Morgen sein sollte.
Jedoch war das Hotel so lieb , einen Transfer zum Peer um 5.45 Uhr für uns zu organisieren, sodass wir nicht extra eine Nacht in Phuket bleiben mussten.

Restaurants fürs Abendessen sind in unmittelbarer Nähe ausreichend vorhanden.

Die Bungalows sind sehr schön und gepflegt. Wir hatten ein Bungalow am Strand - es war traumhaft! Das Resort ist sehr sehr ruhig, man kann also absolut entspannen. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die Essenspreise im Hotel. Dafür, dass das Essen sehr einfach gehalten ist sind die Preise absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr Arm. Wir waren 9 Tage da und es gab nie eine Abwechslung. Das war etwas schade. Die Transportkosten sind ungefähr 4 mal teurer im Hotel als wenn man den Transport bei einem 10 Minuten entfernten Anbieter bucht. Hier lohnt es sich also die Preise zu vergleichen.
Dennoch war unser Aufenthalt traumhaft schön!

Un peu déçu par la chambre

Séjour de 5 jours dans l’hôtel et nous avons probablement hérité de la plus mauvaise chambre ( au fond du parc et la plus petite) alors que les séjours sont en moyenne beaucoup plus cours. Nous avons été déçus de ce manque de reconnaissance mais peut être l’hôtel préfère t il sur une même période mécontenter ceux qui restent que tous ceux qui passent. Sinon le reste est très bien.

Le seul bémol ce sont les moustiques vu que la chambre est principalement en bois il y a des ouvertures un peu partout et rien n’y fait même avec des prises anti-moustiques vous êtes envahie de moustiques meme dans la chambre donc si vous êtes allergique aux piqûres de moustiques je vous le déconseille et si cela vous pose pas de problème alors je vous le recommande

Absolutely amazing, don’t skip this one!

We had absolutely amazing stay in the tented pool villa! The moment I saw the place I wish we had booked a longer stay! So beautiful, peaceful and luxurious. Breakfast served to the room, floating breakfast possible if requested. Barely any mosquitoes where we stayed and the staff puts repellents on in the rooms before it gets dark. Free paddleboarding or kayaking by the main resort. Beach there was beautiful and quiet. Staff is very kind and accommodating. Be aware that the tents are high up on the hill, so it can be a bit of an exhausting walk up back to the room. Renting a scooter makes it easier though. This place is perfect for a honeymoon! We will be back for sure! Worth every penny!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel.
La vue sur la plage est a couper le souffle. Le personnel est à nos petits soins et d'une incroyable gentillesse et discrétion.
Les bungalows avec vue sur la plage sont plus qu'un havre de paix, tout est fait pour que l'on se sente chez soi. Un gros + pour la douche extérieure <3
Tous les jours, l'hotel nous réserve des free activities (apéritif au bord de la piscine, excursion en bateau…) Aussi, le petit déjeuner est superbe avec pas mal de choix, de la cuisine Thai en passant par la cuisine européenne. Bref… Il était très difficile de quitter ce lieu paradisiaque !

Amazing tropical resort

Stayed for five days at Koyao Island Resort and it was an amazing experience. The staff was really helpful, when we checked in it turned out we had forgotten something at our previous hotel and they helped us get it back while at the same time making it an adventure.

Le plus beau Resort de l’île, KoYao Island invite au repos et à la sérénité dans un cadre unique : villas qui respectent l’environnement naturel de l’île, piscine devant la plus belle plage de Koh Yao Noi, personnel agréable.
Un seul bémol : le dîner au Pum Pui. Extrêmement décevant, beaucoup trop cher pour ce qui est proposé et qui n’est certainement pas à la hauteur des lieux.

Auch für unseren 2. Aufenthalt haben wir uns für eine Beach Villa entschieden, weil wir die seitliche, überdachte Terrasse mit Kühlschrank und Sitzgelegenheiten praktisch finden (schattige Erweiterung des Zimmers nach außen). Wir haben erneut äußerst entspannende 7 Tage genossen und schätzen vor allem den schönen Strand (sauber, Schwimmen auch bei Ebbe möglich), die Ruhe, die Nähe zu Koh Yao Nois schöner Natur (Ausblick, Nashornvögel, Schmetterlinge, Warane etc.) und die gute Lage (ca. 15 min. per Motorrad in das Dorf, gute Restaurants/Bars in Gehweite).
Weitere positive Aspekte: Sehr freundliche MitarbeiterInnen (angenehme Atmosphäre beim vom internationalen Personal umgesetzten Get together bei kostenlosen Cocktails und Häppchen), Sauberkeit, beste Klimaanlage, die wir in Hotels je hatten (Gebläse in alle Richtungen einstellbar > bei Bedarf keine Zugluft auf das Bett, extrem leise), weiche Kopfkissen auf Anfrage, sehr gute Cocktails, hervorragendes Essen im Restaurant.
Empfehlungen: Während des Frühstücks sollte das Personal aufmerksamer sein (z.B. Nachlegen von Butter, Säften, Brot, Decken der Tische für neue Frühstücksgäste) und als ich zu Mittag etwas essen wollte, wurde ich nicht bemerkt und habe schließlich das Restaurant verlassen, Bademäntel wären toll, Spa-Mitarbeiterinnen sollten lernen, wie man professionell eine Hornhautentfernung durchführt (da hierfür ein eigenes Paket angeboten wird, das nicht das gewünschte Ergebnis liefert > notwendige Ausstattung fehlt)

PERFECT !

INCROYABLE ! Meilleur moment de notre séjour en Thaïlande, et même de tous nos voyages certainement.
Calme, reposant, luxueux, accueillant, ...
Nous sommes restés deux nuits dans l’an chambre de 60m2, très grande qualité !
Le restaurant est très bien et le petit déjeuner également.
Rien à signaler, allez y pour vous reposer et revenir avec des souvenirs plein la tête.
Nous reviendrons.

Sehr gepflegtes, ruhiges und individuelles Hotel in einer wunderschönen Lage am Strand. Es werden viele Aktivitäten angeboten und besondere persönliche Wünsche werden sehr großzügig erfüllt (kostenloses Zimmer bei spätem Checkout).

Wahnsinnig toller Strand, perfekter Service und die Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist bemerkenswert. Der tolle Strand direkt am Resort ist traumhaft und nur 30 Minuten mit dem Speedboot von Phuket entfernt. Es war ein rundum toller Aufenthalt - nur zu empfehlen ;)

Au calme en pleine nature

Superbe villa avec grande salle de bain ouverte tout en ayant son intimité.
Le nécessaire est fait pour ne pas subir les moustiques (moustiquaire d'ailleurs très efficace).
Piscine avec vue splendide sur la baie de Phang Nga.
Très bon restaurant. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas plus de choix pour le diner (en intégrant les plats disponibles à midi par exemple).
Personnel aux petits soins dont manager français très présent.
Excursions de qualité. Pour avoir testé également les excursions extérieures affichées moins chères, on s'y retrouve, celles de l'hôtel intégrant les entrées dans les parcs nationaux et ayant un guide réellement anglophone.
En conclusion, un petit coin de paradis idéalement placé pour découvrir celle ile très charmante et accueillante.

Es war top! Die Anlage ist fantastisch. Cool, dass Fahrräder zur Verfügung stehen.
Vielleicht könnte die Speisekarte noch etwas reichhaltiger sein.
