Convenient and smart hotel with an excellent outdoor area and restaurant layout. An amazing wine list.

Restraunt had pretentions of premium value - but the food we had was merely ok.

We chose to have a Congnac after dinner in the garden at 10.30 - the staff closed the hotel and switched off all of the internal lights before completely disappearing. I actually thought that there was a power cut. Very odd behaviour and very bad practice.

Pleasant stay and good value for money

Overall it was a good stay. Hotel a good location, a little tired in parts but quite clean. Parking is right at the back of the hotel and you have to go through residential apartments to access it. This in mind it wasn’t entirely straightforward getting stuff in and out if the car to the hotel. The lady receptionist on our hotel was very friendly, helpful & professional, very welcoming.

The restaurant has the best wine list in Chablis yet it was one of the worst dinners I've ever had at the hotel. The hotel says they are going \"Bistro\" but it was extraordinarily poor, uncreative, and borderline offensive. There are no dishes that work with the quality wines on their wine list.

Tucked away in the beautiful town of Chablis, this hotel has the aura of luxury and elegance without the price ticket. Very clean, spacious bar, lounge and restaurant. We enjoyed a private sauna and relaxation before an excellent evening meal. The toon was very charming and comfortable with an excellent shower. We decided upon breakfast too, which didn't disappoint having a good selection with some homemade pastries, fruit cocktail and a range of loose teas. A range of cold meats, desserts and cheeses too.

Absolutely shocking booked last minute due to road conditions checked booking for 24hr reception ✅ put message on booking request late check in. Got to property and door is open place was in darkness reception unmanned called the main line no answer called the emergency number no answer waited 20 minutes walking round in the dark to see if someone responded to me.

It was a wonderful hotel and the staff was very friendly. We arrived late and no parking was available we had to park in a public lot about 2 blocks away. We had dinner our first night and were disappointed with the limited menu and they seems to be short staff. We think because no place in Chablis is open on Sunday night, everyone in town was eating at the hotel. We didn’t have the breakfast, but it looked fabulous. That said, we did have a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

This room was not of four star quality.
There were no robes, no shampoo or conditioner supplied and the room was very basic and room not soundproof at all. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also not up to standard.
The restaurant and service was fantastic and location was great to visit domaines in the area.

We haven’t been in a hotel so beautiful and so chic in a long time. Breakfast in the patio was so relaxing and the dining experience was super. Not only was the service good but the food, too.

Hostellerie des Clos is a nice hotel in walking distance to many wine tasting places if you are there for that. We just had an overnight stay while travelling. The rooms are large and nicely equipped. I understand some rooms have been renovated. Ours was not. The restaurant in the hotel is superb. We had one of our best meals there while travelling to many places.
The check-in involved quite a wait and many people were waiting to check-in. However, the lady at the front desk was alone and the people before us had issues so it was really not her fault. Eventually a second person started checking people in and it moved quickly after that.

More than a glass of Chablis!

Booked from the car driving back to Britain. What a great find! Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Arrived too late for the resteraunt but happy with a cheese plate and 2 glasses of Premier Cru. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was impressive and enjoyable, not to be missed. We got great advice as to where to go in town (Jean Brocard) to source some reasonable wine and that became another great experience in itself. We were struck by how friendly and welcoming everyone was in this lovely French town.

I did not like my suite at all: bedroom on the second floor but bathroom on the main with steep wooden staircase. Hotel trying to be french provincial style but without substance and with very cheap finishings!

Very nice hotel, great service.
A beautiful court yard overgrown with lush vines is a big plus in summertime.
We had breakfast there and a bottle of wine on one evening.
I only wish that the staff would take as much care of the court yard as they do for the cleanliness of both the inside restaurant and the rooms.

We stayed two nights and this hotel was in a convenient location to walk around Chablis, along the river and to the park. It was quite smart in public areas and the room was well planned and had very good quiet air conditioning which was great because it was over 35 degrees. wifi was disappointing, couldn't get it to work anywhere in the hotel.

The hotel was NOTHING like the pictures, as we were taken across the street to be shown our room. The bldg not connected to the hotel was foul, smelled terrible, had holes in the way, unclean bathrooms and horrific amenities -- this was our room. It was so bad that we asked to leave, yet found nothing avail in Chablis for the night so decided to stay. I have no idea which pictures they used to sell this hotel, but clearly they were NOT the ones that were of their hotel. Awful.

Terrific hotel with great table, my companions had rooms with tub and shower, mine had only a tub with extremely slippery bottom. very dangerous... The tiled floor was also very slippery. Upon my arrival the toilet seat was loose...
As in all hotels in Europe, no wash cloth is provided.... The coffee cup wasn't cleaned as the towels not folded in the bathroom... Looking like only the bed was made....

Pleasant hotel in good location with car parking. Restaurant is expensive but very good. Breakfast was disappointing. Told on arrival the restaurant was fully booked for one evening of our 2 night stay so book ahead if you want to eat in. Lovely bathrooms, pleasant views and hotel in quiet area. Room cleaned on day 2 but too rushed and didn't replace soap that had been used up or wash glasses. Overall though a lovely hotel and I would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was great to have more space than we'd become used to in France. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Wish we had chosen to eat in the restaurant...our room was in an annexe and we didn't really explore until we checked out. All in all, would definitely recommend this hotel in the most beautiful town of Chablis. We were also given a tip as we checked out by the receptionist to have a look at the Sunday markets. Well worth a look!

WIFI does not work in the rooms

This hotel is being marketed as having wifi in the rooms. However, apparently only a few rooms get signal. Our did not. We complained four times about it and they would just tell us that they were working on fixing it and would call back. They never did. I had to wake up early in the morning and leave to find a place where I could work. What bothers me most is that the hotel was completely empty and they did not switch us to a room where a better signal would be received. Also, telling us they would call us and never doing it. Regarding the restaurant, it is extremely expensive, like Michelin three star expensive. As far as I know, place has not got a single Michelin star. Set menus started at 45 euros per person and went to almost a hundred euros per person. A cup of coffee for breakfast, 5 euros. Rooms are extremely small, with cheap toiletries and outdated furniture. This is not a four star hotel.

Little gem on our way from Paris to Burgundy

Our destination of this France trip was Burgundy. We flew into Paris CDG and drove down south. Chablis was midway of this route and we picked this hotel because there were not much choices left as it was a relatively ad hoc holiday where our friends asked us to join last minute. It turned out to be nice hotel, and for the price we paid, value for the money. We were on the top floor with a courtyard veiw. Toilet could cater for wheelchair user and hence very spacious (though a little bit odd for us as ordinary people). Hotel restaurant served quality food with generous portion, though it was understaffed where there were long pauses in between courses.

We stayed one night on 26th October. Apart from no toiletries in bathroom (soon supplied when we asked) the rate the room was correct.( very boutique)
Restaurant was good and had the € 44 Menu.Wonderful wine list. Girl waitress needed teaching good manners and at around 20 years too young for this hotel. Waiters were very good.
The worst experience: 7 very awkward guests making continual loud noise and banging doors from three until four o'clock in the morning. When we complained at reception the following morning the girl just shrugged her shoulders.

I booked this Hotel as a final night to a 3 week vacation. From the good reviews I had high expectations and the Hotel exceeded them on every level. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms clean and well appointed. Location is excellent on the edge of a pretty town, but best of all the food served in the restaurant is to die for. If Heineken did hotels this would be it.

Great place for a night in Chablis!

Stayed here for a night last weekend. Great to have A/C with a 34degree heat! Bedroom a decent size and good value for money for the quality. Walking distance to Chablis main street and lots if beautiful wine to taste within easy reach. Particularly liked the outdoor terrace with a charming view of the hotel, so peaceful for a Saturday. Would return and definitely recommend.

My husband and I had one of the best hotel experiences while staying only one night at this cosy and beautiful place. The hotel is much better than it looks in the pictures and the staff in the reception and restaurant provide excellent service. We can highly recommend this place when you visit Chablis that itself is a charming little village with outstanding wine and food. Don't miss the Sunday's farmers market.

Charming hotel - shame about the noisy bedroom

This is a charming place for an overnight stay. It appears to have been recently refurbished and is in good order. Staff are attentive and polite. Everything good until bedtime. Our room (7) was directly above the restaurant and staff were noisily changing the furniture around until well past midnight. Two calls to reception did nothing to quieten them. (so loud that my wife recorded it on phone) When that ended, the room next door or above started flushing their toilet. It sounded as if we needed to put up an umbrella. When they showered early in the morning it was even worse. I complained to the receptionist when paying the bill. There was little reaction, certainly no offer of an apology or reduction. A suggestion for management - the wood floor in the bedroom is attractive but carpet would help soften the noise. The wood just seems to make it worse.
