We had an amazing time at this resort from March 1st - 6th. The place is truly paradise!! We loved everything this place had to offer!! The food was great our favorite was Under the Sea on our last night.. The entertainment was wonderful every night!! The seaweed was bad at times but not for the effort of the staff and doing their best to clean it up 24 hours a day..

If you don’t get to a pool by 7:30am, every single chair is saved even though maybe 20% are even used throughout the day. The resort should have a plan to monitor this. Most resorts will pick up belongings of people who save and then abandon the chairs for hours.
The resort is really geared toward kids so if you want an adult vacation, this is not the place.
You are resort bound. The town is a half hour away so make sure you are happy not leaving.

Everything was great! My only complaint would be the room cleaning, we have stayed at Iberostar a couple times before and I found this trip the room wasn’t cleaned well each day, I had to leave out the hand wash and shampoo to be refilled and things just weren’t done as well as our other trips. Besides that one little detail everything else was amazing!! We will def be back!!

Everything was great. The staff was welcoming and very cordial. The food was pretty good. The activities through the day were also good. it kept people entertained. My only complain is that no one told us to be careful with jellyfish around the beach. My son and two nephews got stung by jellyfish. They started to get allergic reactions so we took them to see the doctor. The staff later told us that jellyfish are more prominent in that area once it starts getting dark. I'm not sure if that's true, it was daytime when my son was stung. Mosquitos were terrible as well, specially closer to the beach. avoid booking rooms close to the beach. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent. Overall it was a good experience.

This resort is amazing for families! Kids of all ages will love it! This is a large resort! It is so beautiful! All rooms face either the main pool or the garden area. This was not a big deal for us bc our room was right by the main pool and was spacious! We got the family suite, which had a pull down twin bed, a large couch bed, and a king bed. The ground rooms have large wooden puzzles for the kids and a hammock on the balcony. The waterslides are amazing! Unlike most water parks, the slides do not end in a deep pool. So kids of all swimming abilities can partake in the slides! Note, there is a height limit of 48 inches. If your little ones are smaller, they can use the pirate ship water playground which has 3 or 4 slides! There is also a volleyball pool and a wave pool! We ventured out for a long walk on the property and found a beautiful carousel for kids, a huge playground and shops & sweet treats. We averaged about 16k steps a day, so if you have someone who can’t get around well, take this into consideration. We loved the restaurants but you have to book them early and just know you will prob on get into 3 of them during the week. Some restaurants do not require reservations and buffet is always open. The beach is beautiful! There was some seaweed but every morning they would clean. The entertainment at night was so much fun. I think my only suggestion would be to have more breakfast place options. The buffet is the only option. We will be back for sure!

The friendly staff, cleanliness and wildlife around the resort made the trip! Most of the pools were a bit deep for our youngest to enjoy, but the kids had a great time in the wave pool. The activities were always delayed, sometimes up to 30 minutes. The lazy river left a lot to be desired. The food was always good. We were very disappointed booking with Expedia, as the price quoted with taxes and fees was $800 less than what we were charged. Also the $400 credit was in the form of coupons. For example, pay $100 USD and get $25 off. Everything at the resort was 2-3 times more expensive than what it was a home, like sun screen, vanilla, clothing or even Tajin.

We spent 4 nights at this resort and everything was going great. The people were nice and the pools and beach were a lot of fun. But on our last full day we went on a half day excursion and during that time someone went thought out things and took $400 USD that was in our backpacks.

Beach area inundated with wild animals crawling in trash cans and jumping on people to get their food. Terribly unsanitary. Animal excrement in the corridors. Maid service was nothing more than fresh towels, bed made and an empty trash cans. Mo cleaning at all. Dirty bathroom mirror. Hair and soap left in the shower area. Food was so so. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, the grounds were clean, the pools were perfect, a strong effort to clean up the sea weed, but our room smelled like a damp barn when we checked in and we were just too tired to go back to the desk to ask for another room. The smell had improved by the next day. The restaurant’s were excellent but the buffet was not, 2 star at best, a lot of luke warm food, selection wasn’t great compared to other resorts and cruise ships we have been on.

We had a great time here as a family. I rated it 4 stars because I actually wanted people to read the rating!
The staff are welcoming and very professional. You can pretty much do anything you want on the property...within reason of course.
You can eat at as many restaurants as you want in a night or day, as long as you don't need a reservation for the dining option.

You can request shots of don Julio at dinner, and receive as many as you want...

There are 15 pools to choose from, you can either go in the busy \"party pool\" or you can go to a less busy more laid back pool. You can also explore the pools at the other resorts...except for the grand ;).

If you are going to shop get a ride into play del Carmen and shop there as the shopping center prices are expensive.

My husband and his friend golfed at the golf course and were impressed, rental clubs were high quality and the course was \" really cool!\"

We travel to the Yucatan pensiula regularly and have stayed in several towns...we like to explore the towns ... this time we were far from both play del Carmen and Cancun,but the property was so large that there was plenty to do for the most part.

The kids had fun in the pool and the Japanese restaurant was really fun!
The food was good, and there were plenty of options.

Bring your own water bottle and fill it at the filling stations... I think it's a great idea!!
Watch out for the quatees, they may take the burgers out of your hands ;, but they are cute!

This is our 5th time visiting the Iberostar property.
First, the good. The property was exceptionally clean, the staff was great as usual. The entertainment was pretty good. Now the bad. The food...We ate at the Mexican speciality restaurant and out of 6 of us, nobody finished their meal. The food was not that good. Now the buffet was sub par as well. Some food was cold when it was supposed to be hot, some of the food looked like it had been recycled for days. Rude guests cutting in line and people that can't control their kids. We had a group of 10 and we were all disappointed by the buffet. Just didn't taste fresh and seemed recycled day after day.

Now the pool area. In 7 days we found 4 plastic cups in the water, not to mention lime wedges and other debris. Why only 2 bartenders at te pool bar??? on most days it was chaos trying to get a drink. Secondly, people eating food along the pool edge, you could literally see bits of food floating in the water, we seen a lady drop her plate of food and literally brush it under the pool lounger.
Next, please put more staff in the food shops. there were lines out the door and the quality was lacking. And for the coffee and sandwich shop, why such short staff in the mornings, obviously the most busy time, as people age going for morning coffee as well as the people grabbing a bite before their excursions. Again, literally lines out the door at 8 o'clock in the morning.

The resort had many hotels and was very spread out causing our group to either walk long distances or wait long times for shuttles. Staff had no clue where thing were located causing me to be lost half the time. Shuttle drivers would ignore you and drive past. I Honestly could not recommend this resort.

Overall great family resort for kids of all ages, mine are 8/13/16, are super picky but really enjoyed the property overall. The beach itself was very well kept by the resort staff (no seaweed during our week) although the water was not clear at the shoreline like farther north in the hotel zone, but it didn't ruin the experience. No timeshare pitch, but they do the vacation club pitch. We got the free spa session and family pictures session for attending. The spa was great and the picture shoot was good. The shoot incl. a base package of 20 pics. We chose 60 pics & the largest book print which was around 350 USD cash which sounds pricey but compared to here in the states, not so much. The picture quality was surprisingly great & as we took most of our pics at the beach, the backdrop of the blue water & sky turned out GREAT for family photos. Honestly, the family picture book was a pleasant surprise & something I'm glad we did.
The food quality and options were good. The bar used the basic cheap liquor for mixed drinks unless you asked for the upgrades which they did upon request.

The activities at the resort were entertaining for the family. The circus/magic show & fire show on the beach was good and the kids loved the pool foam party staged over the swim up bar.
The staff was very friendly & attentive. Overall, no complaints aside from it being overly humid in July. We will likely choose to stay at another Iberostar resort before committing to a membership.

Overall this was a great stay. Loved the pools and finding chairs was never too difficult (we are not early risers). Poolsode entertainment was great. Room was great. Could use more/better placed outlets. The food was good-not great but we could always find something and never went hungry. The taco and burger stands were great for us since we usually missed lunch hours at buffet. Biggest complaint was the reservation system for a la carte. We had a great stay and would definitely go back.

Do not book this resort. The food has no flavor apart from having to wait for it for 2hrs. 1hr to be seated, and another to get it to your table. There was one buffet that was actually ok. And the Steakhouse. There are bugs everywhere. The beach was filled with seaweed. Do not believe the pictures. I was just there 6/12 to 6/17. The service was horrible. They exploit their staff. They dont change your sheets. It was a total fail. Please do not go here. The $400 credit is a lie!

When arrived i told , i want to stay close to the beach or close to the pools and told me, for me booking I not allowed to this areas. Only the best is inside, because my category, is not qualified and is already updated, and i ask to told i need to. talk to the manager and she told me the same. Never give me 400 credit for the hotel, never give me my bottle of wine, i told them and said call expidia. Short of people to work, i can make reservation any restaurants me and my husband want. They send to the concierge all the time, and they said everything is full but , you need to check everyday, but the only they have opening space if , me and my husband going to a presentation for one hour and 30 minutes and they give something for my time, for sure, we very unhappy. Terrible experience 😪 😢 food Terrible cold to much wait time, poor service, they have i little golf car to move arround the facility but many time. Pass and said to ask. This is for member only you need to wait for other car. Never came again. Plus the beach is black and had algas all over the beach , we, can go to the beach are all

Definitely not what I expected. The food is very poor. Good luck getting any reservations to the restaurants unless you listen to their 1.5 hour timeshare/membership presentation. Unable to swim at all. High waves and full of seaweed. No elevators on the property so ask for 1st floor or else you will need to go up and down multiple times per day. Did not honor my expedia credits or VIP perks. Overall would not recommend or stay here ever again. The staff even told us that they are understaffed therefore we waited 2 hours daily to get food.

The resort is nice, I like that it’s big and never have issue with finding space near the pool or the beach. We did not dine in any of the restaurants, the buffet food was bland and service was average. I am not sure if the higher prices for Lindo were worth it, could get the same experience in their other resorts.
I didn’t like that they don’t offer bottled water and ask the guests to use the filtered water fountains instead. The shops are outrageously expensive, paid $11 for a bottle of water.

Don’t believe what is advertised

The hotel was decent overall, but the experience was tainted by a major issue. They failed to honor the $400 credit that was promised at the time of booking. I contacted Hotels.com multiple times with no resolution. I also spoke to several hotel staff members about the credit, showed them screenshots and receipts, but nothing was ever done. It's extremely frustrating to waste vacation time chasing something that was clearly advertised but never fulfilled. Additionally, check-in was a hassle—we arrived after a long flight, only to be told to wait until 3 PM, and then asked to wait an additional 30 minutes because the room still wasn't ready. Very disappointing and not the level of service we expected.

We have come several times to this resort and it still is a fun resort. The entertainment isn't as good as it used to be but the buffet/food choices are very good and diversified. The rooms are relatively quiet and beds comfortable. Still a trick to find a spot at beach or pool; everyone gets up early to reserve spots and come back later, just have to play the game. Unfortunately they are now charging $ to rent spots by pool. Too windy to do any water sports/jet skis this week but usually able to get beach spot if you don't wait too long in the am. Could have better service for drinks at beach; fewer servers coming to you.

The beach was great and they did cleanup the sorgassum as much as it was possible. The only thing that I didn't appreciate is they changed the reservation policy midway our trip for the \"à la carte\" restaurants therefore there wasn't any availability by the time we could reserve.

Everything was wonderful staying at this facility. I would love to stay again, but they do need to improve on the food quality.

Some of the staff members weren’t very nice. Felt like they were being bothered if we asked them a question. The weather and pools were beautiful. Had a good time just wish people were more pleasant.

It had very nice grounds and location but a little bit busy for us
They seem to have a lot of fun activities in the kids club, for example, parkour style outdoor set up and and an indoor sort of climbing room that they could’ve had fun trying and also cooking classes but sadly my kids age 13,15and 17 were too old to participate
Being a family of 5 I had to book two rooms and although I called in advance still wasn’t able to get them beside each other.
Wish I brought sun umbrellas to walk around with
Airport transportation adds up. a hotel shuttle would be a nice touch
