We stayed here for two nights and had a really great stay. The room and bathroom were spacious and generally clean, with excellent lighting. We slept really well both nights.

We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and the options were varied and good. We spent one afternoon around the pool which was very relaxing - and enjoyed a very fairly priced beer each.

Staff were always more than happy to help and were friendly. They even informed us that we could get laundry picked up and delivered back to the hotel which was useful.

If I returned to Gili T, I would absolutely stay here again.

I had a great stay at Vila Ombak Hotel. The resort is beautiful, very clean, and spacious, with a relaxing atmosphere throughout. The rooms are large and comfortable, offering an amazing view that really adds to the experience. Its location is perfect—close to all the dining options and easy to get around, yet still peaceful. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and I’d happily come back.

We loved this resort. Clean. Ride ur bike to the front door if ur room. Great breaky eggs cooked as requested. Lovely pool. The gardens are so beautiful and relaxing to ride thru. There’s a few tiles missing in the pool and the wood boards are loose but this didn’t really affect much. Great spot.

The hotel needs a lot of maintenance, but the staff are friendly and it's a great location, the stairs to the toilet in the bungalow are quite dangerous, most disappointing is they have both pool bars shut for renovations at the one time

The hotel has an amazing location, so central and accessible to the main strip (without been surrounded by noise or 100% visible to people walking past). The pool was well resourced with chairs and available shade, or you could also use the beach day beds too (all included). Pool bar drinks and food menu was great and well priced. Rooms were comfortable, spa was lovely (although its probably good to note if you are booking for 2 people - specify that you want separate treatment rooms. Would stay again.

BEST hotel I stayed at during my whole trip to Bali and near by islands. The room was beautiful and the entire location is perfect with 2 pools as well as beach access. The staff is so kind, attentive and helpful. They go out of their way to be helpful and even help you book other activities. Would absolutely stay here again. Ivan and Ruly especially were so helpful in the office and we even extended our stay with them.

We left this hotel early. Was meant to stay for 3 nights but did 2. The hotel itself is okay. Staff do what they can to help but service is slow, especially at the restaurant. Our issue was with the surrounding area. Gilli T was once beautiful but it has gone seriously downhill since I visited 7 years ago. The island is dirty, I couldn’t bear to look at the poor horses working in the heat with ill fitted equipment carrying humans, luggage and cargo that was way too heavy for them (the situation has improved since I last visited 7 years ago, I noticed more are now allowed to have breaks in the shade)- if your hotel is in walking distance, please just walk!! You’re not going to die, but the poor horses will die from exhaustion. To top it off, my husband kept being asked if he wanted to buy drugs by the locals. They would then get intimidating when he said no. Felt on edge and unsafe the whole time hence leaving early. When checking out early the hotel did not even ask what our problem was, just gave us a discount on our tab. If you want to party and do drugs go to gilli T , otherwise you will be best visiting with gilli Meno or Gilli Air.

We had to pay extra to upgrade but it was worth it... the place is beautiful, surrounded by beautiful view... the service is top notch. Pak rully the manager help us with renting the bike. Everything we need for is by walking distance. Definitely will be back in the future.

Overall a good place to stay although I felt disappointed that the two rooms I booked were in the furthered corner of the complex. They were also directly in front of a septic tank that was very smelly at times. Considering I booked approx back in February I feel we should have had better positioning of our rooms. Otherwise a nice stay.

Stayed in the traditional lumbung, which was great for the novelty, but wouldn't recommend for more than a couple of nights as the stairs to the outdoor bathroom are a bit precarious. The buffet breakfast is very average and not a lot of variety. Overall a good stay and the swim up pool bar is great!

The location is fabulous, the pool is beautiful (although we preferred to use the private beach) and the staff is very very helpful. We had a slight issue with our scooter rental and they went more than out of their way to solve our problem. Gili T. is a beautiful Island to relax for 2 - 3 days and Villa Ombak made it even better.

While the main jetty on the island is being constructed this property is a convenient option. Sadly however, the rooms are quite dated and pools quiet run down, well overdue for a refit.

Breakfast was pretty average and the wifi very weak. As one of the original hotels on the island, this place shows it. Also, we originally chose the Lambung Hut however the treacherous staircase down to the bathroom (staircase over the sink) was quite impractical, we tried to purchase an upgrade to a pool villa but cost was exorbitant (not sure why given the resort was at very low capacity) so we opted for a downgrade (no refund offered),

This property may suit older European clientele who will likely be easily impressed by the tropical surrounds etc but for customers from SEA and Oceania, I would suggest consider an alternative.

Quiet place on the party island.

I stayed here two nights with my girlfriend. We had a blast on Gili Trawangan. I tried this property because the ombak sunset is under construction after the earthquake. There is a lot to do in the area. It’s quiet inside the rooms. You can reach the main party area within 5 minutes walking. Very beautiful area with lots to do. There are cooking classes, pool tables, and chess to play. I would book here again. My only complaint is the bicycle rental. I think this should be free with hotel. These are rusty old bikes, no need to charge so much per day.

Most hotel in the city, just built a simple building but hotel ombak has a lots trees and flowers,as if we are stayed in the beautiful park. Also there are very clear clean water beach at front of hotel.
I would like to come back this hotel in the future of my vacation.

Location, set up, bed, pool and beaches were incredible. Negatives are (we stayed in a hut room) the wifi was terrible, not even worth connecting. Bed had a wooden border round it that was just above mattress height which someone banged their head on. Hot water was scarce, not enough for two people to shower which wasnt good on a night time in an outdoor shower when it's starting to get cold. Lastly the food for breakfast was decent, but the service was terrible(bar the omelette server who was always friendly). Never any glasses, mugs or plates. Normally had to ask 2 or three times for a mug for a coffee. When they did bring them it was only one or two meaning 5 minutes later someone else had the same scenario again. Other than that it was a lovely place and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just seemed to get a few basics wrong

Hotel manager overcharged one of my party and refused to refund. No kids menu. No overseeing for ordered breakfast. We would get twice to three times the food ordered. Such a waste. We would never go back again. Also not to Gili T as it is not small children friendly and the boat trip back 3 1/2 hours instead of quoted 2 hours was horrendous with high seas and the boat breaking down half way. With previous kids on board we were terrified .

It was exceptionally clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful. For example the weather was restricting us from travelling by fastboat from Bali to Gili T and the concierge at the hotel helped us greatly by informing us we could fly to Lombok and they would arrange a airport shuttle and fast boat to the hotel. This meant we didn’t miss out on three paid nights at the hotel and we were so glad as the place is literally PARADISE!!!

This hotel was unlike anything I have ever stayed in before- the little huts are really cool. The beds are comfortable and air conditioning is provided which is greatly needed. I would however recommend to bring some mosquito repellent as the bathrooms are outdoors.

The overall hotel itself is perhaps one of the best on the island- the grounds and pool area are stunning and the breakfast is good too. There are some tiles missing on the floor of the hidden pool so go careful here, however considering the island is recovering from a major earthquake I don’t think perfect condition can be expected.

We did a 3 week trip around Bali and some surrounding islands. Our initial booking was for 5 nights in the Traditional Lumbung Hut. On inspection it was a lot smaller than we anticipated, as the area is split with upstairs and downstairs. We asked to change to another room type which was done with no fuss and and no extra charge. We ended up extending our stay by another 2 days. It was our favourite accommodation the whole trip.

We have stayed here before and love that the staff are so friendly. The gardens are so peaceful and lush & green, the rooms are clean. The only thing we weren’t keen on is the loud music they play by the pool every day. But if you want peace and quiet you can escape to the hidden pool. It’s lovely.

The hotel has an amazing pool. For us it was the best thing there. The breakfast is good too, many options (buffet). The restaurant was expensive, and the food is not really good. The staff are very friendly. The worst thing is the internet, it doesn't work very well, and also, didn't work for almost 2 days while we were staying there. Also, we got one day without power and water. The bedroom was ok, it's an old accommodation, but it's ok.

The hotel needs work ! It’s very run down. The first room they gave us was very mouldy. I asked to have an upgrade to a better room and they would not accommodate without me paying for the upgrade. The upgraded room was still full of mould too and in need of a deep clean. The doors did not close correctly so the air conditioning did not work to full capacilty and the bugs came in through the gaps so we gotten eaten alive at night time.

The bugs an flies ! I’ve never seen anything like it. The mosquitoes were so terrible. Not to mention the flies. We were there for 3 nights and we only saw the hotel mist for Mosquitoes 1 time.

Absolute terrific place to stay! In the serenity of island life, Hotel Vila Ombak is definitely the place to be.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles as far as the eye can see! The complimentary welcome drink was the best quencher after our walk to the hotel.

The staff throughout our 2 night stay were absolutely AMAZING. We were addressed by name every time we were greeted, goes to show how much the staff value their guests.

Beauty of the location of this hotel is just a big PLUS to the whole experience, beautiful sunrises and sunsets and a beach right out the door across the road!

Hotel Vila Ombak surpasses all expectations and have truly wowed me, they have everything available right on the property, from an in house medical centre to an ATM, they've got it all.

Rest assured that the AMAZING staff at Hotel Vila Ombak do beyond the call of duty to provide the warmest and most welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Shortage of activities available by and from Hotel Vila Ombak are non existent! From the most relaxing spa treatments to adrenaline filled dives and water activites, they have it all!

There is not a single doubt that we will be staying at Vila Ombak again.

Once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for making Gili T the best memory ever!

We came from their sister hotel Ombak Sunset which was affected by the earthquake. This full service hotel was very close to the port and restaurants. Since we came from their sister hotel that was under construction, we really did not have much to complain about except that they did not allow us to take away our left over breakfast which we didn't understand why since it was not a buffet.

The hotel was great. It is close to beach and main strip of restaurants and bars but far enough away that you are not in the hustle of the nightlife. The pools are nice and the food/drinks are good too. Breakfast has a huge variety of cold and hot stuff. The hotel staff are friendly and there are many services available such as tours, spa, clinic, bike hire etc.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities, from what we saw, it was the nicest on the island
We loved every moment here
The free bikes we got with our Villa were a VERY nice surprise

This place is just close enough to town to be easy to get to, just far enough to miss the hustle and bustle

We had an issue on the last 2 days, our pool went cloudy, not a problem as we sued the main pool.

Extra costs, expensive drinks, dangerous pool

Drinks were way more expensive than any hotel or smart bar we’d been before. Food was disappointing especially breakfast which had flys on all the food and no cups.
Loads of tiles on the swimming pool floor were broken even in the kids pool and one poor child cut her foot but staff didn’t want to know.
Staff very rude at checkout.
Constantly missing items when room service has been and they’d often appear at odd times like 9pm.
Nice grounds and basic room was nice. Not a nice atmosphere though and they’d try and hurry you off the beach loungers at 3:30pm and set up tables around you! Paid a lot of money and only allowed on the beach until 3:30 is just ridiculous.
Bikes were double the price of the street sellers and all broken!

This is our 2nd trip and stay at this hotel. Unfortunately we heard there was a management change and it doesn't appear to have been for the better. 1st the good, great location , nice pools and beach. Now the bad. The accommodation Hut we had had a bathroom with 2 sandpits in it which smelt of pee, especially after the shower had been used. The breakfast which we were advised was American had no pancakes or waffles which was the 1st disappointment. The rest of the food was poor quality , coffee bad and possible the worst part , there was never any glasses or mugs for coffee . The staff did not great you or serve and we we're only asked once to check in . People appeared to wander in from the beach, take fruit and rolls and leave. I was also disappointed that the whole out door area is for smokers. None smokers had to sit inside the gloomy breakfast area which was stuffy due to poor aircon. It seems if you dont smoke you are punished. On check out they also attempted to charge for a massage we hadnt had. My advice is stay next door at the new Pearl , unless they fix up some of these issues Im sure more people will. Shame as 5 years ago it was really nice.

Breakfast was probably the worst we have ever had in a hotel. No glasses for orange juice (staff look put out when you ask them for a glass or some cutlery) and many food trays empty or cold (we went early and late and had the same experience).

Traditional hut living in Paradise! :-)

We stayed in a ‘Traditional Lumbung Hut’ in Gili T for two nights here. Beautiful pool right on the beach- with a swim up bar!! Woohooo!! Amazing accommodation where a day bed was underneath our hut, went upstairs to our bedroom. Once in your bedroom, the shower/toilet was outside in our very own private yard down the little stair case at the back of the hut! A really great experience!

Firstly, Gili T is a stunning location and recommend it to everyone!
This hotel is superb & the staff are faultless.

Having stayed in three private villas, with pools whilst in Bali - this is by far the best purely because of the staff, the pool itself & the atmosphere.

The free bike in the room is also an added bonus & made my time in Gili much more enjoyable.

Only downfall was the beach, it's not an area to swim in however, is close enough to the quietest 'cleanest' beach area (just before the goats!)

Exceptional vila, wonderful service!

We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to private villa and the room was just perfect. Incredible attention to details, very high level of professionalism from hotel staffs and every single need was anticipated and satisfied with attentiveness and caring. We were very happy staying there, and will come back again one day.

Overall good value

Pool staff need to be more attentive the the guest for drink &food requests. Hidden Pool Bar was most lax and the rap music that they played was vulgar and disturbing, particularly for a relaxing resort environment .

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the port and located right across from the beach.

Families, couples and solo traveler friendly.

Good spot, friendly staff. Check in was clunky. Duty manager didn’t want to serve as he was busy playing a game on his phone. Slow check in is a pet hate of mine. Staff around the complex were friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained but dated. Slippery tiles in wet areas. Otherwise a really enjoyable stay. Good value for money.

Good service but room not good enough

The service was great but the room was filled with mozzies and we were bitten multiple times during our stay. Bed was not the most comfortable too. Swimming pool was beautiful and relaxing though. Breakfast was great too.

We stayed at Vila Ombak for 6 nights. It was within walking distance of many pubs and restaurants. Rooms were clean. Good mix of western and Asian food at breakfast.

Friendly staff. Given promises were not always kept, needed to ask a couple of times. Weekend was packed with some local company arrangements, half the pool closed &bad breakfast. Did not appreciate that.
Good location and facilities.
