We had one small issue which the staff dealt with in an excellent way to our satisfaction. I recommend hiring the Princess Margaux hotel boat for Island Hopping - a fabulous trip and an amazing sunset.

This was an absolutely amazing stay. The grounds are immaculate, the villas are amazing. The staff is so kind, so welcoming, so helpful on all fronts. They offer so many amazing activities, such as scuba diving on the boat, which I can confidently say is the nicest boat on Gili T. I would absolutely come back here again and will be recommending it to all of my friends.

Honestly one of the best beach holidays we've been on. The property is exactly as pictured, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the food (especially the pizza!) was fantastic. We loved the private beach area where we spent a lot of our time.

Vi har haft 8 dejlige nætter på Pondok Santi. Vi har nydt det skønne bungalow med det mest fantastsike udendørs badeværelse, stranden, polen og de lækreste dobbel sunbads. Ud over rengøring kommer personalet også om aften og gøre klar til en god nattesøvn ved at sætte mygnet omkring sengen og endnu engang gøre værelset nydelig og velduftende. Personalet har været super hjælpsomme, smillende og søde gennem hele opholdet. For ikke at glemme at, nævne deres helt fantastsieke morgenmenu hvor man dagen forinden frit kan sammensætte ens eget morgenmad samt frit vælge om man ønsker at indtage den på stranden, ved poolen eller i sin bungalow. Restauranten er den flotteste på hele øen og maden er i top, især deres gril menu og den bedste søde, røgede kartoffelmos, det skal prøves. Hotel stiller også gratis cykler til rådighed hvilket vi benyttede os af en del gange. Den park lignende have med de utrolig smukke hvide fliser, lader den kølige brise fra havet bræde sig ind over hele resortet som er med til at holde temperaturen begalig dagen igennem. Super mange tak til de sødeste og utrolig arbejdsomme personale

No request too big. The villas are each completely stand-alone and very private with a walled garden area behind and individual decking area in the front. We had a villa with a private pool and this was kept well-maintained through our stay.

The grounds are beautiful with shared activities happening throughout each day and plenty of spots to relax like hammocks and beds. The location is just far enough away from the main bar strip to be peaceful but close enough to cycle over when you want to party!

You can eat breakfast right on the beach, which is a great way to start the day or you can have it by the pool which also has a swim up bar. The on site restaurant Ijo had a great menu and a wonderful vibe.

Everyone on the staff was lovely and friendly and they went out of their way to help us from borrowing bikes to lifting luggage.

Highly recommended are the hotel's excursions - they truly are once in a lifetime experiences. We took the private sunset boat tour with snorkeling and it was amazing!

We'd visit again in a heartbeat. 5 stars!

Amazing place to relax on Gili T that’s still close to the centre of town. The bunglow rooms are lovely. Free bike hire. Breakfast is great. Staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you. Daily yoga is also a bonus with a great instructor. Would highly recommend a stay here if you have the opportunity.

Firstly such a beautiful hotel!!!!! It’s 10 to 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is so clean, they make you feel so welcomed!! The staff are all so lovely and helpful from reception to waitress to house keeper to bartender they are all so lovely!!!! Amazing customer service. The interior and attention to detail is so 10/10. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would definitely recommend. You will not regret it. It truly makes you feel like you’re in paradise. Two night stay turned into a 5 night stay. The property is quite expansive, giving each villa lots of privacy and a much calmer environment. The pool and swim up bar were used quite frequently throughout our stay. Bartendes made the best fresh drinks and service was impecible.

The hotel main beach is also a gem. Clear white sand, clean blue waters. We even snorkeled with turtles right out front.

The hotel offers free masks and fins for snorekling, as well as free bike rentals.

I would definitely recommend and return again.

Terms of my booking were pay at hotel on departure but my account was immediately debited the full amount. Hotels.com refused to address the issue.

We had an amazing experience staying at Pondok Santi Estate! First of all, the lodging accommodations were so beautiful, clean and modern -- and felt like the most chic island living experience!! And they allowed us to use their bikes to go around the island, so it was very convenient. Second, the beach in front of the resort is the nicest beach on the island of Gili T! Best waters and atmosphere. Lastly, the staff and manager were the nicest and most helpful ever -- they worked with us on any of our requests and helped us book the best snorkeling adventure on their private boat and tour -- I would highly recommend booking the snorkeling through them, since their boat was the nicest out of all other public ones. Highly recommend staying here!!

This was my second time visiting Gili T and last time i stayed at the Pearl, I wish I had rebooked the Pearl this time. This trip was a special one and when reading the reviews this property seemed to be the best on the island, however the reality of the property doesn't seem to live up to its reviews.

The bungalow's are lovely, with aircon, clean and fresh linen, tv with English channels, what let's this property down is the quality of the food and also the staff.

From a hotel touting itself as Luxury, i would have expected the food to be far superior, the food was bland & at times inedible. We dined at the hotel on our first night & never again. The pasta Aribata was penne pasta with a tin of tomatoes on top with some Parmesan shavings.. Hot Chips.. were disgusting, they had clearly been placed in the fryer before it was warm enough and had soaked up all the oil (which also needed changed) the next morning our breakfast wasn't any better, for the remaining 3 days we went to the Pearl of Trawang a short walk down the road where the food was delicious. This hotel, it is seriously over priced for the experience you get, the staff didn't really care that we were there or not, on the occasion that they did speak to us it seemed very disingenuous.On our first night there, we settled down for the night only to be bombarded with Trance music coming from the hotel beach/reception, we were never informed of this and it went onto 4am even though we were told it finished at 12

Everything was great! It is best place to stay on Gili Trawangan. Beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, beautiful and warm swimming pool with a swim up bar, gracious and welcoming staff. Everyone works very hard to be sure you are having a great time. Excellent service! Fabulous Snorkeling is only a short bike ride away downtown, where you can can go in straight from the beach.

My wife and I and our three children (ages 16-22) had a fabulous stay at the Pondok Santi the week between Christmas and New Year. The Pondok Santi is easily the nicest hotel on the island. The rooms are luxurious, the grounds beautiful and the staff is attentive, friendly and very helpful. The Pondok Santi restaurant overlooks the gorgeous pool and serves up a delicious breakfast (included) each morning. We also had a good dinner one night as well. The location is good as it is walking distance to the rocking town scene, as well as the sunset beach scene. The island of Gili Trawangan is small and one can easily circle the island in an hour on bike. Bikes, snorkel equipment and paddle boards are complimentary. Overall we were extremely pleased with the Pondok Santi and hope to return. We highly recommend!!

Wonderful spot, the grounds are spacious and well manicured. You are close to the islands central location without having to be right in the action all the time. Our room had a view of the ocean and overlooked the grounds. We felt as if we had our own private cabin on the island, rather than staying at a hotel. The staff dutifully accommodated all our requests and took great care of us. No other spot I’d rather stay on Gili T.

Spent 4 nights at Pondok Santi during our honeymoon and they were amazing. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff are amazing and special thank you to Khairul and Eko who made our stay even more special. The restaurant options were very good and we enjoyed every meal. Both my wife and I loved the grounds, the pool, the beach and the fact that the resort lets you use snorkeling equipment and bicycles with no additional charge. I would definitely recommend this resort to my family and friends and we will definitively stay there again when we visit Gili in the future.

A perfect stay in every way. From the check-in, meet and greet, through to the front-of-house, pool bar and restaurant. Pondok Santi is not just a great experience Gili standards, it sets a benchmark for any hotel, anywhere. Part of what made our stay so enjoyable (aside from the dining, bar and pool area) was the people. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and attentive, to the point of remembering our names. A special shout out goes to Musa and Tin Tin for the impeccable and personalised service experience. Its rare to get such incredible front of house experiences these days, and Musa and Tin Tin delivered every time!

The only imperfection: they limit the breakfast order option to 1 item per guest & it wasnt exactly sufficient. They served 1 medium sized slice of toast w avacado + a small fruit platter on the side and i find it quite a small portion for even a petite person like me, let alone my spouse who's 1.9m tall. When we tried to ask for 2 slices of toast we were told - they needed to charge for extras.

Clearly a hotel with such rates in a place like gili can do better on their breakfast offerings!! Other than that the rest of the trip was pretty faultless.

From what I could tell, Pondok Santi Estate is the best resort on the island. If you wanted to, you could never leave the grounds, and have a wonderful vacation. The food is excellent, including the free daily breakfast. My only complaints are that the wifi is weak in the cabins and the hot water, though advertised, is nonexistent.

We were delighted to find that Pondok Santi is just as beautiful as the pictures! We are Americans living in Indonesia, and have always heard of Gili Trawangan as a party island, but beautiful. The great thing about Pondok Santi is that if you want to be a part of the party, it's a short walk, but if you don't, the grounds are peaceful and quiet. It is probably the largest resort, land-wise, but only has 10 units, with open space around them. The villas are all set back from the street, with a beautiful lawn in between. You can see the ocean from all of them. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with a private pool, which was spectacular. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, but not overwhelming.
I must also mention the Princess Margaux, the beautiful boat owned by the resort. It is available at a very reasonable price for snorkeling and island hopping trips only for Pondok Santi guests. I get seasick easily, but this boat rides smooth and easy, and I had no problems, even though I forgot my Dramamine.
One of the reasons we went was that I needed to do some writing on a research project and needed a place to work, but also wanted to do some regular vacation things. The internet was good, which was important to us. This was a perfect spot, as it was easy to get everywhere (walking, bike, or horse and cart), so we managed to stay active as well as accomplish some work.

Me and my husband stayed at the private pool villa for our honeymoon and it couldn't get any better. The room is spacious with fantastic decor. I personally love the nook by the window. They only have 10 villas, and most of the estate is greenery, perfect for a getaway from the city. The place is quiet, with private beach just the opposite of the estate. I like that you can request to have your breakfast by the beach, it's awesome.

Great location just out of the busy hustle and bustle of the town centre. Amazing outdoor bathrooms. Staff were so friendly and helpful. An added bonus is that you can hire the bike and snorkel gear from the hotel. Food was delicious every single time! Would highly recommend Ponkok Santi. Only criticism is that the bed and pillows were a tad uncomfortable, but that's being really picky!!

Excellent and lovely staff who provided service with a smile - nothing is too much trouble. Very beautiful and spacious grounds. Low density, serene and boutique experience. However, do not expect full toilettries e.g. cotton buds, shaver, etc. as it tries to be as eco as possible. Traditional structure type of accommodation, clean and blends with nature. Love the outdoor garden rain shower.

When we checked in,there was noise due to construction of a new villa nearby our pool villa. On top of it,I saw a worker doing some repairs next door right where the fence was overlooking our pool. After we feedback to the lovely manager, Hannah, she made sure we were compensated for the inconvenience by upgrading our boat cruise the next day and I also noticed the workers did not start work the next morning till We had left our villa. There were little touches to make sure our anniversary was special. Some areas for improvement would be to include toothbrushes, bedroom slippers and perhaps slightly bigger portions for breakfast considering the price we paid for the resort. Also the the walls near the outdoor shower area sold be higher or more adequately covered by tall plants for better privacy. But their excellent service recovery more than made up for it.

Our entire visit at Pondok Santi was heaven!
The little touches is what makes this place so special... the picturesque surroundings, and the super friendly and attentive staff were just the beginning... the amazing Lombok coffee at breakfast, complimentary Coconuts and snacks by the pool, the stunning private beach with hammocks, day beds and paddle boards all for our use... I could go on and on!
I loved this place, and can't wait to go back soon!

From the beginning everything was perfect. We were welcomed with a a big smile and cold juices. The hotel manager described the property and also all the atractions of the Gili. Breakfast ala Carte was served every day.
This place is perfect. Couldn't imagine better place to stay in Gili.

If you can get in book it!

What a peaceful and great place to stay, it is located on the southern edge of the island but not to far from the main strip. Also close to Paradise Sunset bar, head there around 6pm for a great sunset! Note there is not really a restaurant at Pondok but it shouldn't matter as the strip is not far.

beautiful place on the edge of town- just close enough to walk/bike but very quiet compared to the main drag. room was very nice but not super comfortable. no couch/comfy place to sit inside. no screens so multiple mosquitos in the room (bed netting helped). really cool outside bathroom, but it kind of lost its appeal having to go outside to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Bed looked beautiful but was quite hard. Beautiful and wonderful private beach with excellent b fast and GREAT staff and service. would stay there again.

So amazing we extended our stay

Literally cannot explain how great this hotel was. We were on our honeymoon and only planned a brief stop-over at the Gili Islands but we were instantly captured by the beautiful island, and specifically this hotel. It is an oasis of beuatfiul, calm grounds, comfortable rooms, beautiful private beach and amazing staff. Truly unique on the island - we cannot wait for the new private villas to be completed so we can come again!
