The manager sat behind a dusty desk with plates containing remnant of deserts.there were people sleeping in reception.he was very abrupt when speaking with another guest who only asked a civil question.
He was annoyed I had only booked one night and was going.to speak.to EXPEDIA.and went on to tell me the reasons why.
The room was norlt just dates but very very tatty.
Bathroom was awful with only one tap working.cobwebs.light fitting above sink with bare wires and old toothpaste or similar.
Beds were possibly 1000 years old.
I left at 0830.reception was not manned.all lights were off but a very young child was running around....i suspect rrying to escape to somewhere more pleasant and hospitable.

the hotel was dilapidated and dark. The room smelt like something had died and was musty. mountains of ants feeding on left over food from previous guests, hairs, stains and bits all over the beds, bathrooms were disgusting and fabrics smelt of mould and dirt,

The staff are few and as such it’s reflected in the state of the hotel. It needs cleaning, down to the hallways not being vacuum cleaned for god knows how long and finding debris on the perimeter of my room and a dead cockroach. There weren’t any towels or drinking glasses n my room and no soap. There were exposed electric wires in the vanity unit in the bathroom and the supply of hot water limited to 9am until 10pm. The property has a curfew at 1am whereby the doors are locked and one fire exit allows you out but no means of getting back in until 7am. Overall, it’s very outdated as are its practices and despite lower pricing, it’s still overpriced compared to a hostel.

The only good thing is the location, the hotel was near beach. Unfortunately, the room I booked turned out to be not the one I received. I order room with two single beds and received one with one double bed. Room was changed in the morning. But unfortunately both was very dirty, dust everywhere. The manager was very rude, when I pointed out to him the appearance of the rooms he said that I could move to another hotel. He tired to pretend to be nice later, but it come out artificial and sarcastic.

Your website showed a room with a view to the sea side, and with beautiful pictures of the room ! But the reality showed a very bad old room that made us run away and book in another hotel. I did not even dare sleeping in this hotel. i want my money back

The owner wasn't even in when I went to check in. I was told to wait for 10 mins before even entering my room. The owner was nice but the room wasn't. Small beds. Dirty bathroom. The tiniest shower. And there wasn't even any shampoo or body wash available. Also the WiFi was only free in the reception, no actual WiFi in the rooms. Never coming again.

Had a wonderful week staying at onisillos. When we travel we like to stay off the beaten track a bit. Embrace ourselves in the culture of where we are. Is the hotel outdated compared to the surrounding ones? Yes. Did that add to the character and the charm of where we were and how welcoming we felt by the boss himself? Absolutely. I would happily stay here again, to have the people that let you stay in their hotel want to know all about you and what you got up to that day made our stay all the more wonderful. Onisillos Hotel is very conveniently situated on the bus route for bus 425 to and from the Larnaca Airport. It is also a very short and convenient walk from the hotel to the beach and downtown Larnaca to include Palm Avenue. This is a basic budget hotel which is clean, comfortable, well managed, and a good value for money. Christo is very helpful and dedicated to making sure his guests enjoy their stay in Larnaca. One thing which would make it even better is if the wifi was in the rooms; currently it is only available in the lobby. If/when I return to Cyprus, I would definitely stay here again!

We needed a place close to the airport at the very end of our vacation and we got it. It was cheap so i didn’t have high expectations, however, there are no excuses for dirt in the bathroom! It is not acceptable nowadays. I regret we booked this place.

We loved it!
This place was the best value money can buy in Larnaca. Its basic however it’s clean, safe and has a good atmosphere. The staff are friendly and caring and provide a service that ensures the guests are comfortable and have a memorable stay. The wifi here is the best without any disruptions with the internet service. The third floor has a large balcony with the most amazing views of bulldings and the beach. It’s in a good location and everything is less than ten minutes walk. The advantage here also is that there is also a bus to the airport right at the front door. That made things a lot easier when leaving. We will be definitely back very soon. This is the 2nd time I stay here; the room is basic and the whole place could use some maintenance, but it is fine as is; you get what you pay for. It is close to Finikoudes, and the bus to the airport stops right outside the hotel. There ain't much budget options for solo travellers/backpackers in Larnaca and I would say this place is good value for money.

Booked for one night, paid with my card at the reception, took quite a long time. The price was around 30 euros. A few weeks after found several transactions in my credit card statement for around 50, 50 and 140 GBP, one from another hotel in Larnaca and two from Expedia. The thing is I wasn't even in Cyprus at that time, still the owner of the other hotel said via phone that someone with a different name used my card to pay for 3 night stay there, also haven't used Expedia for a couple of years.
The thing is Onisillos Hotel was the only place where the card was used during the stay in Cyprus. So I am quite confident that the receptionist (young lad) cloned the card.
If you do have to stay there make sure you pay with cash.

Woke up in the morning I was covered with ants all over my body, got out of bed to wash them off me, the whole showroom was full of ants. The whole was full of them.
The room failed to have plugs to charge my phone.
When I complained to the staff, they told me I must brought food into the room. Ridiculous really as no amount of food can creat that amount of ants. Plus they refused to even move me to another room or even answer all the raised concerns by Expedia.
I would not even recommend my worst enemy to stay there and have the same worst experience I had while in that hotel.

Since I came in the winter, the hotel was basically empty. I expected a bit more but thats what you get for a lower price. Main desk was very kind and helpful though. 5 minute walk to St Lazarus Church. Less than 10 mins walk to seaside and restaurant area.

I would recommend this establishment for its locality and friendliness. It lies directly behind the most promiant feature on the city shoreline (Medieval Fort) and so it was impossible to get lost, even without a map. Reception were welcoming and eager to have been of assistance.

Shower never worked, no hot water, room was never cleaned. When you go go out they demand you leave the room key, which they leave on the counter so any passer by could pick it up. Air conditioning worked as long as you wanted on full speed and full cold. TV had no remote and every single channel suffered with one thing or another.
