I like that there was a mini-fridge and an exercise room. On the other hand, my room was deficient. Neither phone worked and 2 of the 3 bureau drawers were off their tracks. I brought his up to the front desk but they did nothing about it.

Very old, thin sheets, stained pillows (pillow cover turned inside out to hide dirt). To sum it up, this hotel does not clean rooms, because since covid it cannot hire enough staff (wasn't covid 4 years ago?). After three days of talking to front desk we Finally got to speak to the manager, he was defensive, many excuses, apparently doesn't like talking to women, gave phone to my husband, manager apologized and stated room would be cleaned for our last (of 5) nights there. The downstairs is lovely, stepping into the 30's although we're not that old. The neighborhood is not safe, the hotel has security at each door to outside at night, if you go out you can't get back in. A murder happened one block away on one of our nights in the hotel. Fortunately our son-in-law had made us promise not to walk outside. Lovely little cafe serves a full breakfast, and in the evenings the pizza or flatbread is fantastic. Most of the front office staff were less than interested in our obtaining a clean room. The lady on the last day was lovely. Manager changed our room on the last night, it was clean and comfortable.

This wonderful landmark hotel is beautiful ! The staff and service was amazinng
With that said, event pricing was high or typical for all the rooms. We had a standard queen room with one night stand? Typically you have 2 people staying. So, having a nightstand on the other side of the bed and move the small chair to the other end of the windows would give more utilization to the customers
Also, having a kureg with only coffee pods, no tea or complementary water bottles for tea is a bit lacking
The carpets and curt were not very clean. All and all an amazing stay with some tweaks advice for a better stay
Especially when the room we stayed in for 1 nights was well over 800$ for the 2 nights
. Is now 119 for the night.

There were only two cups in the room and they were coffee cups. When I asked for more they sent 2 wine glasses. I asked for a wake up call and never got one. The restaurant had a very limited menu with one entree being tacos. It would appear that the hotel although nicely restored is very short staffed.

**** Highly suggest doing a Google search on this hotel (not Travel Advisor) before booking.
Positives:
This is a gorgeous building (inside) with a beautiful renovation
Dinner at the restaurant was delicious
Staff was all friendly and helpful
Our double queen room was very large and nice
Clean, well-kept, no complaints
Close to MU

Negatives:
This hotel (especially lobby area) does not give off a \"warm and welcoming\" feel. They could improve this a lot with better lightning in the lobby and their front desk situation. While the staff were very nice, there is only one of them, and that person sits in a different room off of the front counter. They must have a mirror or something that alerts when a guest is at the counter, but 95% of the time, the front desk looks unattended which gives a deserted feeling in the lobby.

The Ambassador Hotel is a stunning property that exudes Art Deco charm at every turn. The check-in process was seamless — I completed everything online in advance and simply picked up my key upon arrival. The hotel’s location is ideal, sitting just a couple of miles from downtown Milwaukee and within easy reach of American Family Field, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Stepping inside, I was immediately captivated by the vintage elevators featuring gorgeous gold doors that pull open — a small but memorable detail that adds to the hotel’s old-world character. My room was both spacious and spotless, offering ample space to relax or get work done, along with an incredibly comfortable bed.

Just steps from the hotel, Michael’s Family Restaurant proved to be a fantastic breakfast spot. The hotel’s own bar and restaurant had an inviting, lively atmosphere every time I passed by, though I didn’t get a chance to dine there. A special mention goes to Artist, the shuttle driver, who was courteous, personable, and a genuine pleasure to chat with. The front desk team was equally impressive — polished and professional throughout my stay.

I would return to the Ambassador without hesitation. An easy 10 out of 10!

The hotel is very convenient to downtown area like attractions from theaters, arenas, and sports stadiums, plus close to interstates and easy to get to and out of the city. The room was very clean on arrival with plenty of towels, coffee cups, etc. Nice area to find good restaurants and the hotel has a nice bar/restaurant on the lower level.

I had no issues staying at this hotel. They have Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash & Lotion as well a blow dryer. They had a little Kerig with a couple coffee cups, but you had to use either faucet water or water you brought yourself. The room also has a little fridge. I loved the historic look of the place and the classic music adds to the vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful for our first time being there. The grounds also has security staff. The only issue is the one elevator not working. I will probably stay again when I need to be in the area.

Candice at reception was wonderful! I called to ask if we could check in early as we had nowhere else to stay and she had a room cleaned and ready for myself and my two sons in less than an hour. She was also very warm and welcoming. She really made our stay great!

The Ambassador stay was a mixed bag. We went because we had tickets to the all day Metal show across the street. For the most part we just needed the room to sleep in.
So far as that went, the room was clean and quiet so we had no issues with that.
However
We arrived back at the hotel post show at 10:40PM. We had been told (and it said it in writing) that the bar was open until midnight. When we walked in, the bartender said, \"I already gave last call because I have somewhere to be.\"
So...you provide an amenity. Tell customers your hours, (hours which are in writing by the way), and then fail to honor said hours thereby also failing to deliver upon an amenity YOU provide as part of the price of the hotel.
No doubt the response will be \"Sir, the bar is a luxury and not an amenity.
Okay, then let's move to the Television.
A television we learned was a smart tv that YOU (the customer) had to operate by logging in to YOUR (the customers) personal APP and somehow operating the TV that way.
I suppose the response will be \"We said a TV was provided and it was. The ability to watch it was not. You COULD watch it provided you log in from your own APP and do so.
How many 60 year old couples have no such APP because we watch through a cable provider? Answer: a LOT.
So, we could not get a drink at the bar despite hours clearly posted (in writing) and verbally delineated. We could not watch TV by turning on a TV set like most normal hotels.

Hotel stay was nice , only complaint I have was with Jeff the assistant Manager leaving us stranded down at Miller Highlife theater after the Triumph show . Give Him a $20 tip and he is a no show at 11pm. Wouldnt recommend his services at all .Had Mrs T for our shuttle earlier and she was wonderful , she should be running the show !!

My time at the hotel was great. My room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Everyone there was so nice and friendly from the moment I checked in. The bar was a great place to stop after a long day to have a few drinks and pleasant conversation with the bar tender. The manager, Nikki, was exceptional! She was helpful, friendly and kind. That made my stay an even more memorable experience. If you travel with dogs, she willI give them lots of loving and treats. I will be back and I definitely recommend staying there to anyone looking to visit the Milwaukee area.

Hotel was amazing!!!!! Nikki and Roberto at the front desk were awesome as well as another female who checked us out… I didn’t get her name but she had beautiful jewelry! Everyone was so nice and Nikki gave loved our pups and gave them treats and love every time we went out to use bathroom!! The area was a little sketchy with some locals who hang out at the corner store, but no one bothered us even on our walks to the school down the street. Parking was great and felt secure as well as the hotel staff after hours and room key entry late at night. Thank you ambassador for making us feel safe and so welcome!!!!!! Also the free shuttle within 3 miles was a cool plus!

We had a great stay at the Ambassador Hotel! The location is extremely convenient for Brewers games or events at The Rave/Eagles Club, which is right across the street. They offer a shuttle to the games and back, which was a huge plus — just make sure to sign up ahead of time for the ride there. We used the free shuttle back and it worked out great.

It was also nice that they had food available on-site until midnight on Friday and Saturday, plus a bar open until 2 a.m. The service was a little slow on the busy event night we stayed, so they could probably benefit from additional staff during peak times, but everyone was very friendly and the gentleman who checked us in was especially great.

The rooms are on the smaller side and a bit outdated, but the hotel still has a lot of its original charm. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

I love staying here. Beautiful art deco lobby with marble flooring and original light fixtures. They have the coffee shop open in the morning and the barn restaurant for the evening. There's a shuttle to take you anywhere nearby within 3 miles. Staff was friendly and parking was easy. Good size hotel.

This is a nice throwback in time. The staff was so nice. The room had some issues -- lamp shade was torn, curtain was not all the way on the rod. I was disappointed there was no microwave in the room. The one MARVELOUS feature was many safety rails in the bathroom.. While there was not a roll in shower, there were multiple rails that made it SO MUCH easier and safer for me. I would stay here again for that reason alone. The bed pillows were fantastic. It is a roomy space and the bathroom is huge which was appreciated. The elevator is a hoot. The hotel had a wonderful \"feel\" to it. I Wish there had been clear written guidelines, as I am deaf and it is difficult for me to ask instructions and information.

Great location for local venues and nearby food spots.

Love the antique esthetic with modern conveniences. Room was clean. King suite jacuzzi was worth it after a long night across the street at The Rave.

Starbucks downstairs for coffee/breakfast was very convenient.

Drinks at the bar were overpriced for way too much mixer. Better off hitting nearby pubs if you're looking for decent cocktails.

Overall, happy with our stay here. We'll definitely stay again for our next trip to Milwaukee for a show.

Clean room, staff was great, but the jacuzzi tub in room was very dirty. We cleaned it out 3 times and hair and black sut kept coming out of the jets. Although there is gated parking, you have to walk half a block to get back to the hotel. Lots of trash in parking area.

Such a lovely property! From the outside you wouldn't know what a gem it is. It isn't the Pfister and it's not perfect but it is a gem. The staff are wonderful and the vibe is classic. Excellent drinks in the bar, super yummy breakfast in cafe. Had a great king room on 7th floor. Big room, comfy bed. So many special and unique details!

Check in was super easy. The front desk staff was super helpful and suggested the free shuttle when I asked about Uber. The room was clean and comfy. Dave the shuttle driver was awesome, he made the trip to Fiserv (and back) enjoyable and kept our crew safe. Check out was easy.

The only thing: says parking onsite, I never did see that it's $20 to park in the ramp/garage. No big deal, it was safe parking.

I just stayed at the Ambassador Chicago the weekend before, so I went in expecting the same 4 star amenities/level of care. The employee behind the desk at check in was lovely. We went up to our room, which was very large, but not modern like the Chicago version. That night we walked home from our concert (1.6 miles from the stadium) and I was thirsty. There were not any restaurants or stores within walking distance open near the hotel at that time except for Taco Bell. We decided to go to the hotel bar. We waited 10 min to be talked to by the bartender. He did not even look at me, just told me I’d have to wait. After a few minutes another employee came to assist us, and it was obvious he was suffering from the flu or another cold because he was coughing on everything. I actually asked him if he was feeling okay because he was visibly sick, and he admitted to being under the weather. We left the bar immediately, unserved and surprised at the lack of service. As we were walking out, we heard another group of people get up, unhappy with not being served. I woke up ready to do my regular workout at the gym. The one treadmill the gym offered was out of order and the one elliptical was filthy. I decided to run outside instead. The attendant behind the podium by the door was very kind and told me the best path to go on. I came back and got coffees from the cafe (again, a lovely employee experience). Overall, our experience was okay, but not a 4 star hotel experience.
