On the first night of my business trip, the room smelled musky upon entering, but since my arrival was at midnight, I just tried to sleep it off. But the sheets felt uncomfortable. During the morning, I was horrified to find my bed sheets discolored and dirty. Upon going to the toilet, the bath towels look horrible, worse than rags to be used on the floor. They were terribly norñt white, smelled funky. Finally, I smelled smoke coming from the air vent.

They shutdown elevator to save electricity I was stuck at 8th floor I had to call to get help 4:30am to catch flight to HongKong. They told me late at night or early morning they shutdown elevator. This is illegal and unacceptable. I will report to Holiday Inn in the US. Also floor was wet due to roof leaking. They did not fix since last year I came in the same area was leaking. Lastly they will not print me the invoice with the reason I booked thru Expedia 3rd party. I will not stay at this hotel anymore because they are not Holiday inn quality.

The property is old and dirty. Front desk is surrounded by luggages like warehouse. Noisy and unorganized. Towels are dirty. Rest room is super small and floor is getting wet because no door to close when taking shower. The elevator is fast. Carpet is dirty. Staffs are polite and nice. This is not Holiday Inn Express like we know in the US.

Affordable accommodation but poor maintenance. Towels look dirty, room has a musty odour, everything in the room looks old and needed renovation and upgrading. Not sure if the hotel centrally controls the aircon temperature due to sustainability effort, my room aircon was not conducive even when I adjusted to a minimum temperature. Breakfast area seemed under-staffed. Tables were left uncleared, food not replenished on time and coffee machines are perpetually having problems. I used to love Holiday Inn Express for its value for money stay but this one at Pluit has been poorly maintained. My 3 nights stay was not enjoyable.

It’s only convenient because it’s connecting Mall

Air conditioning is not too cold for us.
First night in the room the bed sheets is a bit sticky. I don’t know if the hotel stuff replaced wit the new one or not. However we ask to change the room and make sure they replace the sheet with the new one.

Can housekeeper clean your room with permission?

Had bad experience with this hotel for first time. Just head down for breakfast, less than hour, there is a housekeeper clean my room. What surprised me, I did not left door tag to ask housekeeper to clean my room. The housekeeper claim he knock and follow company policy. I feel not safe, what if I’m sleeping, in shower, the housekeeper could just open the door? I feel this is not right and I don’t feel safe. I have left my personal belonging left in room on the table, and housekeeper could just open your room door without any permission given.

The non smoking rooms smelt like smoke. We booked 3 rooms and all 3 smelt bad and 1 was next to a staff break room so they must be smoking in the break room and the smoke seeps through the vents. Staff are quite responsive when dealing with queries. The room itself was not very clean. I had yellow stains on the pillow cases and red stains on the blankets and when i called house keeping and reception, no one picked up. There was free breakfast though so that was good. Just overall a bit below average and i think you can find a better place.

Not too pleased with my recent stay!

The location is great if u need to be in a Mall but thats about it.
On my recent stay, we experienced problems around the upkeep of maintenance & allergen safety.
1. The bed types are very limited, only SMALL DOUBLE or twin. It is really hard to sleep with a small toddler in a small double bed. It needs to be at least a normal sized double bed, not a smaller version of double bed.
2. Got scratched skin / surface damage tear across the right side of my face due to the sharp edge of shower head. I've shown the damage / mark to the receptionist on the same day. Manager on Duty is currently dealing with it after confirming the sharp edge was present. It has been almost 3 weeks & still havent received any confirmed action to solve this. Management need to speed up their efficiency. Not pleased so far, still being kept waiting. Pls get better at respecting your customer time.
3. Peanuts butter need to be closely monitor as it's dangerous for people with severe nut allergy. At times I understand it's difficult to police this but it's a matter of life & death for some people therefore restaurant staff need to be educated more, to take swift action when peanut butter had contaminated other items /knives nearby. It happened many days during my 9 days stay where I had to alert the staff to remove the contaminated knives around peanut butter jar.

The staff was great and the location very convenient to the airport and for shopping and dining. The view from our 2nd Floor window was terrible. When we open our curtain we're looking at pipes and dirty wall. You could have painted the wall and put some plants to make it look like a patio.

Check-in was smooth and straight forward. The receptionist staff were pleasant and professional, so did the member of staff who served the breakfast. The room was standard as expected, however, the carpet was stained and looks dirty. There were dirty marks on the bedsheet and pillows. I called the reception and they immediately sent someone who changed the bedsheet and all pillow covers. This member of housekeeping team they sent to my room was very polite and friendly. The next morning I found one if the bath towells smells musty..as if it hadn't been washed. Thankfully the other bath towell was fresh and clean. Not all member of staff was friendly, one of the staff member who responsibles to look after the lift was very very rude. Even after he said that maybe the lift emergency phone was broken, still he remains rude at that point. I will not stay in this hotel again.

The location is excellent, close to everything including the Airport and connected to Emporium Mall. The room is spacious and clean. The staff was friendly especially to Mr Sigit Wiantoro and his team for providing a great customer experience.
The lobby is on the 10th floor and not connected to the taxi drop off. I found it rather inconvenient if you have large suitcases and small children.

Being connected to a mall is a plus point for me since it’s convenient if I need something urgently. The stay was decent and the service staff are all friendly polite. The room is clean but was able to see stain on chairs and curtain. The lacking part is the TV where there are only few channels available where I’ve to turn in early every night as the channel is just too boring.

One positive point about this hotel is its location which is near the airport and it's above a mall.

But considering the check-in staff who couldn't care less, corridor leading to room that reeked cigarette smell, stale smell in the room, presence of small ants in the room, safe & hairdryer not working, stained carpet and towels; even the toilet seat was stained with cigarette mark. In short, stay there if your life depends on it.

This is business hotel so no relaxation amenities. But the location is close to the airport and connecting to the mall. So very convenient.
Hotel itself was clean and comfortable beds, but the aircon can’t be adjusted to the lower degrees ( it moved but didn’t get cooler).
The downside the breakfast choices was very limited but the quality was good .

The Hotel is good for the price. The staffs at every location are so great. The breakfast is almost the same every day. The shower is not great. I liked the internet connection. If you are a republican or Trump supporter this hotel is a good choice, for it has only Fox News from the American News channels, no CNN, BBC or any other channel. There is a big mall under the building and you have variety of Asian food, which is great.

No prepared escape route in case of emergency. I have been locked up in the stairwell. Want go down via the stair, you cannot go back inside , it is locked. I banged the door for several minutes until one of the employee open the door from inside!!!!!!!!!!! So scary! Been adviced , only using lift, no stair !!!????

Door can be pushed open without access card and reported to front desk in the morning who claimed they already sent someone to check but upon return at night found the door still opens without the access card. The night manager quickly arranged a change of room.
No room service after 10pm. Came back hungry but was told room service close at 10pm so ended up starving whole night. Strange hotel claims no room service available after 10pm.

Was here since 30th Jan - 2nd Feb. Moved to another hotel on 2nd Feb but the other hotel was a nightmare. So we booked Holiday Inn immediately and we stayed here till the end of our trip. Hotel staffs are amazingly friendly. Hotel breakfast is not great but its free. They had quite a few things to offer at their buffet spread. Rooms are decent and comfortable. I will definitely come back as i love this building. Super convenient as the mall is below the hotel. Easy access to food and shopping.

Miserable Hotel - Not Recommended.

Not pleasant and will not stay in the hotel again for the following reasons:
1) Air-Con not cold enough - already feedback twin but still the same.
2) Hot water inconsistent - sometime cold and sometime hot during shower, got burnt a few times.
3) Breakfast is a chaotic, my table was occupied by other as soon as I stand up and get some more foods. Quality of food needs a lot of improvement.
Will not recommend this hotel for frequent traveller like me.

It was a very nice stay in this Hotel.
A decent size n very clean room.
A pefect location; 20 mnts from the airport and nex to a very nice shopping mall which has everything you need!.
Great hotel facilities also with a self service laundry room.
For me,the downside only a breakfast:.
Not many choices and also need more space .
It's hard to find a table if you come after 7 am..
Apart from that, I Will definitely stay in here again!

The rooms are not so good this time. The toilet bowl is constantly choking, the shower head refuses to stay in place, the mirrors are dirty and water damaged. In-room wifi is also very slow and unstable.

Breakfast is limited and the buffet table is unable to serve the number of guest in the restaurant. Many food types are constantly empty with no refills for a long time. This reduces the food selection even more significantly. The juices were barely flavored water.

I stayed in this hotel a year ago, but this time, it is almost a different hotel with standards a lot lower than my expectations.
