Our suite was perfect and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The views were stunning! I would say our only complaint was the New Year’s dinner. Unfortunately, it was not particularly worth the prix fixe price. However, breakfast was a real treat.

Cook’s Bay is one of the most wonderful places we’ve ever stayed, and we’ve stayed at many fantastic places around the world. The staff was amazingly nice. The rooms were spotless. The beds were very comfortable. The air-conditioning worked. The showers were hot. The towels were first class. Most important for us was the amazing snorkeling right off the edge of the property and the amazing views of the beautiful mountains of Moorea. We saw sharks, turtles and rays along the beautiful coral reef that drops down like a cliff just off the water’s edge. The water was unbelievably clear and blue. The swimming pool was perfect. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it will encourage more people to go there when I would love for this to remain a secret.

We loved our stay at Cooks Bay Hotel. The view from the room was stunning with a nice big balcony and lots of places to lounge. The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed. The hotel staff was very friendly and the pool and cabanas were the absolutely best. We also enjoyed the restaurant which had incredible drinks and food. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Cook's Bay Hotel and Suites and we are so happy that we celebrated our anniversary there while in Moorea! Property is so clean and with great views of the mountains with ocean, so relaxing!
2 downsides:
- would expect they offer complimentary water bottles during the stay. We went to front desk and get re-directed to restaurant for a single water bottle. Doesnt make sense for such a great hotel not to offer such complimentary water bottles to guests....
- Through the end of our stay, they started doing renovations for first floor rooms, which caused a lot of noise during daytime. Sometimes i get mad and annoyed a lot since i wanted to enjoy my room and balcony. Doesnt make sense for them to start such construction activities during high season...

Room was clean and modern. No bellman and no ladder into modest pool which poses a safety risk for seniors. I fell trying to get out of the pool. Parking is limited.no hot tub. Dinner was good with a nice view. But would not return. Would stay at the Hilton or Manava Bay hotel.

This property was beautiful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. A special appreciation for front desk personnel Viritahi and Ambrine who went out of their way to accommodate our every request. The restaurant was also amazing with excellent food. From the footbridge we were able to see many topical fish and even an octopus. Highly recommend Cook's Bay Hotel and Suites. We hope to return soon.

If you are in Moorea, Cook’s Bay Hotel is the place to be!!! We had the most wonderful time here. I wish we could have stayed here longer. The location is the best with access to other restaurants and near by town. Beautifully decorated rooms, amazing snorkeling right in the property, kayaking, paddle boards and they give you all that you need. The sunset was one to remember. I am already planning to come back.

We had a lovely time at Cooks Bay hotel. We had a view of the gorgeous water and sunset. I loved their outdoors options: the pool with floating beanbags, lawn chairs, sun beds and a sandy beach area as well. It was low key and upscale at the same time. Restaurant was very good and right at the waters edge. (and there is an amazing food truck right across the street!). If I am lucky enough to go to Moorea again I will stay there. The people who work there are very kind.

The hotel is in the perfect location. It is exceptionally clean, friendly staff, good sized rooms with cooking amentiites, balconies with seaviews, restaurant and bar and a lovely pool overlooking the beach and reef.
Easy access to all the local tours from the Hotel and only 20mins from the ferry.
Very quiet and secluded with excellent wifi and mocktails and tranquil sunsets

Would highly recommend staying here while visitng the amazing island of Moorea

Great place to make a home base for Moorea. Close driving to great restaurants, shopping, and activities.
Property was super clean and well maintained and lots of sun loungers available. The reef just off the beach is amazing, with lots of wildlife, can borrow snorkel from reception.
Only issue we had (but didn’t let reception know so might be an easy fix), bedside lights weren’t working and door into room was very difficult to open/close (needed to be slammed)

This is a boutique hotel in a really nice area. The room had a really nice deck overlooking the ocean. Snorkeling and the reefs in the hotel were spectacular (you don't even need to snorkel to see the marine life!). Beautiful sunsets from the deck! We really enjoyed our stay.

Cooks Bay Resort was spectacular. Our family of 5 stayed 8 nights in early April and we had the best time. So new, clean, great service! The snorkeling in front of the hotel is wonderful, we saw a black tipped reef shark, sea turtle, octopus, eel, and just about every color fish imaginable. My kids used the hotel’s snorkel equipment every day. We loved the pool and comfortable cabanas (free). Le Cook is a really beautiful restaurant, we had dinner there 3 times, lunch twice, breakfast only once. Wish they had a breakfast buffet-pancakes/omelet bar/fruit. Pool bar food is expensive, so we ate at Le Cook for lunch because they were the same price but Le Cook has a kids menu. Our room had a gorgeous ocean view and we enjoyed the balcony every day. Perfect location. We had a rental car and loved driving around Moorea to explore/do excursions. We bought groceries for breakfast &snacks. Food truck across the street is great! Also found great restaurants nearby- our favorite was Tasty Moorea over by the Moorea Activities center on the other bay. We also had great dinners at the Hilton and Manava Resorts, we saw neat sea creatures from their bridges. Sofitel breakfast buffet!! We liked the restaurants across the street and next door to the Manava too. Best nearby public beach: Ta’ahiamanu- BEAUTIFUL white sand. Overall, we had a perfect stay at Cooks Bay Resort, we will definitely stay here again! (Avis car rentals are WAY more convenient to the ferry terminal, than Thrifty/Hertz)!

My room was lovely. The beding was comfortably and the AC worked great. The pool bar was enjoyable as was the pool and beach area. I ate at the resturant once for each meal. The Mahi Mahi dinner was delicious. I really loved the sauce on the fish. The continental breakfast was perfect, coffee was strong, and the croissants buttery. Lunch was a huge blue cheese burger, yum. I really enjoyed my stay in Cooks Bay. I rented a scooter on site gor one day and drove around the island, just stunning views! Also, went diving with Moorea Blue Diving, awesome experience. I would definitely recommended Cooks Bay to all of my family and friends.

Cook's Bay Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a magical location on Cook's Bay. My room was a spacious suite with a bed room, large bathroom, living room with a kitchen counter (refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, water heater, cooking plates) and balcony overlooking Cook's Bay. Great pool. Walkway to the restaurant over the corals gives you views at the life in the lagoon. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is possible to walk to a bank and grocery store (ca. 15 minutes), but there is no sidewalk.

A modern hotel at the entrance to Cooks Bay – a beautiful fjord of the tropics. The aircon and wifi work very well, the restaurant is excellent and occupies a picturesque waterfront spot, and the kitchenette (with induction hobs) is very helpful, a supermarket is within a 12 minute walk. A new spa opened across the road (Maison Baia) and the 1.5 hour Polynesian massage experience was truly excellent. For diving, Nemoz dive centre may be able to offer pick-ups from the hotel. Transfer from / to the ferry is by taxi.

Overall a nice resort with a boutique like feeling and very relaxing place. The restaurant has many options for everyone’s liking and the service was good. 1. Restaurant service is VERY slow. Staff needs additional training on customer awareness of all tables while they are walking from one table back to the kitchen or bar, not just the table they went to. Had to ask for water, drink order, food order, and follow up on long wait for food order to be delivered.
2. Kitchen should be stocked with basics like 1 additional cutting knife beyond a bread knife, and more cooking utensils beyond 1 old wooden spoon.

We loved our stay at Cook’s Bay. Property was newly renovated and rooms were clean, modern, and spacious with a big balcony. Hotel situated on one of the best locations on the island, was very easy to get around with a car rental. Restaurant was fantastic, the best we ate at during our stay in French Polynesia. We were only planning on eating there once but ended up going for just about every meal. Pool was clean and refreshing. Reef around resort was nice too being able to see lots of colorful fish just standing on bridge to restaurant. We would definitely stay at Cooks bay again if we come back to the beautiful island of Moorea.

If beach is what you want go to a different side of the island, Beach is nasty here filled with corals and debree, the floor in the rooms are white so you see all the dirtyness from past guests/usage, since it is to hard to clean the material they made the floors with. no late check out even if you want to pay for it. Service is amazing and the only reason why I would consider coming back but the hotel isn’t nice enough to spend time at. Average hotel at best definitely better options on the island.

It’s only a year old so nice, newer property. Loved that it felt more intimate than a big resort. Highly recommend the upper floor. Nice views of Cooks Bay. Loved having a little kitchenette area and nice balcony. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Small private beach but really quiet. We ate twice in the restaurant…not overly impressed with the food but the vibe was really nice. We came to realize food was just more under-seasoned than what we are used to here in the states. The locals said this is the nicest place to stay on the more affordable side. Loved it!

The view is astonishing! We loved the location on the bay and we saw so many fish in the sea right from the beach. At night we would watch an octopus camoflage and then glow bioluminescent from the bridge to the restaurant. It was magical.

Cook's Bay Hotel & Suites is simply stunning. Could not ask for a better stay in Moorea, it is set in a fantastic location with beautiful and breathtaking views.
The staff are super friendly and most helpful and the restaurant dining is one of the best rated on the island.
Look forward to booking our next stay soon. Would highly recommend!

An absolutely wonderful hotel in Moorea

This is an absolutely amazing hotel in a beautiful location with easy access to tours. The resaurant is the best we experienced in our 2 weeks in Tahiti and the service of the staff showed that they are absolutely committed to guests enjoyment.
The added benefit was that the Moorea Miti snorkelling tour (which was a really quality tour) picks up at the wharf right next door.

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting with outstanding views of the ocean and Cooks Bay.
The morning breakfast service was excellent and served in a timely fashion. The evening dining service was very slow, but the food was good.
We enjoyed the pool area and beach which has plenty of seating and never overcrowded even though the hotel was full. We will definitely return!

Loved the area and the property. The Hotel needs to establish a few rules around the pool and post them - Quiet time hours , no children left without supervision and designated smoking areas .

We would stay again the suites are very comfortable and we really enjoyed the ocean view and a beautiful happy hour at Le Cooks . Pool and beach area is really nice with very nice patio furniture. All in all a amazing place for the price
