This is a beautiful property right on the beach. We loved our garden bungalow suite. It was clean, comfortable, and had a kitchenette so that we could cook. The breakfasts were served right at our terrace. The breakfasts do cost extra. They include croissants, bread, local jams, fresh fruit, yogurt, and bacon. It's a small, quiet resort that makes you feel like you've escaped the business of life. They have kayaks and snorkel gear you can use for free. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great communication even before check-in, with helpful info sent in advance. The location is a bit far from most things to do in Moorea, so it could be tricky if you don’t have a car or bike since taxis are expensive. That said, you can snorkel and kayak right from their beach, and it’s a lovely spot for sunsets. The receptionists were super nice. The room was great too, had everything I needed and more, though you might hear people next door. Also, there’s a really nice mountain view from the property.

Very clean and comfortable, esp the staff are very kind and helpful. We want to buy fresh tuna, she drive us to stores two times, unfortunately the fish sold out, and after work she bought the fish and sent to our room. She always did what she could to help us. We selected this hotel mainly due to the high score of customer feedback, they really did very well and we felt very warm and comfortable. Additional, the snorkeling in front of the hotel is super good.

Ronnie and the staff were so gracious and friendly. We stayed here twice, and each bungalow/suite was spacious and unique. There’s amazing snorkeling at the end of the dock, and kayaks to use. The breakfast (extra charge) was wonderful and convenient before our day of travels. We will absolutely love to return here in the future!

The entire staff was exceptional: attentive, thoughtful, and always ready to help with a smile. The property was spotless, and both our room and the surrounding grounds were beautifully maintained. Everything we needed was available—snorkeling gear, kayaks, a well-equipped kitchen, WiFi, even a microwave.

Breakfasts were a dream—brought right to our room each morning, allowing us to enjoy peaceful, breathtaking views from the beach as we started our day.

What a lovely resort! Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful! They room was lovely and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The covered outside patio was a perfect place time. The free snorkel gear was ok. But the snorkeling off of the dock was absolutely amazing! And the stars at night? I have never seen so much beauty in the sky! With no light pollution, the Milky Way was so beautiful! We only regret not staying longer!

This is Moorea at its finest- the perfect getaway.

If you’re looking for an overwater bungalow with a corporate feel and impersonal staff, this is not the place for you. BUT- if you want a quiet, beautiful, and welcoming facility with staff and owners that will do all to ensure that your stay is the best in Moorea- you have arrived at your destination.

This place is what other resorts wish they could be- classy and comfortable, with a strong feeling of “home”.

Superb choice for relaxing and snorkelling

Linareva's staff add great value to what is already a wonderful snorkelling & relaxation experience. There were lots of little gestures and bonuses which made our second stay (this time with four friends, in the villa) really comfortable and rewarding.

The best feature at Linareva is the jetty, taking you right out to a lovely piece of reef with many corals, anenomes and so many fish species. And for the more adventuresome, there is plenty more reef accessible by kayak or swimming.

We'll be back.

The best place we stayed in our entire trip in French Polynesia. Definitely the best in Mo’orea. Linareva felt like home thanks to Vanessa& David’s hospitality —all the team was so kind and made us feel at home. The facilities are very well taken care of; we loved having a kitchen and a view. If we hadn’t been hopping to Bora Bora halfway through our trip, we would’ve gladly made this place our home for the full two weeks. It’s an excellently run place that offers many things to do. The hosts really made us feel at home. Next time we’re in Moorea, we plan to stay here.

What a lovely spot. Quiet, relaxed, with sunset every night, friendly dog and cats, snorkeling and kayaking right at the property (including free snorkel, kayak, and related gear to borrow). Breakfast delivered to your own private patio is a treat, but having a small kitchen also meant we could be on our own for a relaxing day however we wanted it to go. The owners are very friendly. No upsell, no onsite spa (though they will happily help arrange massages, help with dinner reservations, etc). Small in total size makes the place feel just for you.

A gem!

Great place to stay for a true experience of island life: we had our own bungalow with a kitchen area ready for use. The place was comfortable, and the establishment is available when needed: resident owners are on site. Well maintained yard area with a great view of the ocean. The location provided kayaks and bikes for use without any reservation needed. The pier is great for enjoying the sunset, enjoy the ocean air and look at fishes in the ocean.

We loved our stay at Linareva! It was tough to leave! Our beach-side bungalow was clean and comfortable, with a kitchenette attached if we wanted to cook. The property is stunning- particularly their large, private dock. The staff of Linareva are kind and were always helpful- they treat you like family. Perhaps our favorite part was taking the free kayaks out to the coral and snorkeling, looking back in the stunning mountains behind Linareva resort. We will certainly stay here if ever on Mo’orea again.

We had a brilliant time at the resort. Every staff member working on site was super helpful and efficient. They were exemplary of good hospitality. Although the resort is located in a quieter area of the island, we did not feel inconvenient at all. There is a grocery shop within a 30 minute walking distance or 15 minute ride if you use their bike. You can go snorkeling or kayaking right at the wharf at the resort. The breakfast from the resort was very delicious with a generous portion. It is a must experience. We would like to mention Rumia and Ranitea in particular. They ran the place so well while the owners were on vocation during our stay. They were warm, knowledgeable and efficient. We will definitely return to the resort if we are in the area again.

Our preferred choice for Tahiti in future

Based on other reviews, we expected a lot of the snorkelling on offer at Linareva, and we weren't disappointed - the convenience of the pier (or kayaks) and the quality of the reef was top-notch, with a very wide range of corals and fish species in largely-clear waters. A good range of loaner kit meant that our lost luggage didn't impede us either.
Service was very friendly, there were lovely interactive pets, our room was comfortable and well-equipped, and the (normal) local rooster-and-dog noise was minimal. There's a construction site over the road which may affect noise levels in future but we were't bothered by it. Food options nearby were fine - including some with free transfers and others which deliver - and the mini-kitchen in the unit is fine for those who want to bring their own supplies.
We've snorkelled on the Great Barrier and many Pacific countries, and previously enjoyed stays on Bora Bora and the Tahiti mainland - but Linareva is our best find yet.
In short: we'll be back.

The water off the dock was crystal clear with fish of every color, coral and anemones. no need to pay for a snorkeling adventure- it is right there and they have the equipment free. Also bikes and kayaks. Everyone was as nice and helpful , breakfast on the patio was great. Went in July , dry, good breezes no problems with mosquitoes. the family bungalow was perfect for family and the 2 bathrooms were well appreciated. Planning to return and rent both family bungalows for extended family

The staff there were so nice and accommodating! The breakfast that we purchased there was really great. We were allowed to stay a few hours past the check out time, which was so helpful since our flight was in the evening! The staff was so accommodating, arranged the dinners/transport for us, even drove us to our kayaking tour instead of getting us a taxi that we would have had to pay for. They have several kayaks available on the property, which was awesome too because we could go kayak at anytime. Our family had a great time staying at Linareva.

No pool, no beach, no bar, no restaurant—AND ITS PERFECT! Nowhere have we experienced the hospitality we enjoyed here. The bungalows are beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. It’s like checking into a small community, complete with a house dog and cat. This team will do absolutely anything for you—order meals delivered, arrange tours with locals, book a massage in your bungalow, and even offer you yoga classes. Here’s what’s included: use of snorkeling equipment, bicycles, kayaks, beach towels, a kitchenette, a clothesline for your wet stuff, parking if you have a rental car, and the most amazing hospitality team anywhere. Do not miss this property!

We stayed in the bungalow twenty feet from the water and had the best experience I have ever had in any resort property.

Our family of four (kids 7 and 9) loved it as much as my husband and I.

Not only were we right next to the water but if felt like we had a private property. The pier was steps from our place and people were respective and quiet.
We loved it so much we extended our stay another four days and they were able to accommodate!

Huge plus to have kayaks and snorkeling gear right at the property. Made it easy for the family to swim and play. Saw reef sharks and even stingrays. And had fun swimming and jumping off the pier. Felt like a private location.

Amazing trip our family will always remember.

Their team was so accommodating and doing whatever they could to make our stay as good as it could be! 5 star rating from my family and we have stayed in dozens of places internationally!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Linareva Moorea Beach Resort. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The owners, David and Vanessa went beyond. The island tour that we took did not have pickup service from this resort. In between taking their children to school, David drove us in his truck to the nearest pickup point. He even gave us a ride to the ferry terminal at the end of our stay. We would definitely stay here again. The resort is quiet and the views of the ocean, mountains, sunset and sunrise from the pier are outstanding.

We enjoyed our stay. Our bungalow was well equipped and very comfortable. Remi, David and Vanessa made sure our service was great. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our visit was good. They were extremely helpful with places to visit even making reservations for us.

The snorkeling on site was absolutely perfect. We saw beautiful fish, a Moray eel, even a small shark.

If you are looking for a place to stay with an island feel then you will love staying at the Linareva.

Truely a paradise spot...Vanessa and David make you feel at home the moment you step onto the property and nothing is too great for them to organize for you... the rest of the staff are very helpful and accommodating also... the property is spotless and well maintained and the ocean is just steps away from any of the 9 cottages... an expansive dock to watch sunsets , snorkel, swim or just sit and relax watching the sea life and coral reef below you. Kayak out to the reef to see the turtles and manta rays. Kayaks and some snorkeling equipment free to use at the property. A special experience is having a preordered breakfast served to you on your private deck in the am. Each cottage has its own kitchen which is well stocked but if you need anything at all the owners live on the property and will get you what you need immediately. This is a property that you can be busy or laid back. Your choice. A car would be nice but not necessary. The staff will drive you into town if you need to shop for supplies. Some restaurants deliver food or will pick you up and take you to dinner. A very unique place... hard to leave .. will miss this oasis and beautiful people running it. Hopefully able to make the journey from Canada again to return.....Nana

We enjoyed a warm welcome and wonderful time here, and will definitely be coming back. It is helpful to have a car, but not necessary - everything you might want is nearby, and there are bicycles and kayaks available to use. Everyone was kind and helpful and the area is well maintained. I had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else on our next visit to Moorea!

David and Vanessa made us feel like part of their family during our 10 night stay. They were more than willing to accommodate our needs and then some. We returned there from five years ago and it’s better than before. The long pier leads to a beautiful lagoon full of spectacular sea life and the sunsets are incredible. Kayaks are included and should be used to see all the amazing coral heads and fish! Their staff is so friendly and also very accommodating. We highly recommend this location!

Property was good . My studio was efficient..limited items in kitchen. No house keeping offered. Taxi rate is expensive to get to Linareva n back...it's on the west side of Moorea and its away from most activities ...shopping or ferry dock........food menu was offered at linareva but limited...take out menu was available though very expensive ..Rumia was the key staff who showed us around and did most of the communications ..owners live on Property n do their best...I would go back but need a car to go around ..

Hospitality of the owners is second to none. We really enjoyed our stay in the honeymoon suite. Great view. We used the kayak in front of the hotel which was fantastic ( lots of corals). The view with its mountains behind is photo perfect. Everyone is taking pictures . Super clean in out. Overall a magnificent place to stay. Enjoy!

Our favorite stay on the five islands we visited

Great stay at Linareva, highly recommend this fun and lovely little property run by an exceptionally gracious couple. If you want to do some really easy reef snorkeling at a low-key beach lodge you can't do any better than this. The pier ends at the drop from shore so you are immediately in the fish. In the afternoons we consistently saw 5' blacktip sharks cruising past out in the deeper water, we just had to remember to look away from all the reef fish. We watched 4' rays gliding though the shallows as we walked out the pier to go snorkeling...Great stay. Getting around requires a car, bikes are available for a short ride to the store and kayaks are available and actually well-maintained.
We loved the beachfront studio, it is simple, really well equipped and just lovely. The bathroom is modern and everything clean, the toilet is kinda Euro butt you'll get used to it. A bonus of the studio is being next to the kayak launch you can help the other guest with their boats, a great way to meet the other guests.
This is a well-run and loved property.

Beautiful serene location, breathtaking sunsets, Quiet side of Island with limited wind exposure to ocean. Superior friendly family operated resort NOT cooperate owned.

Beautiful beach location includes excellent snorkeling very comparable to Bora Bora with the exception of clearer waters at this resort,

The Expedia photos of Linareva resort do NOT adequately capture the true overall beauty of this small family friendly resort.

Room, beach, grass lawns, all maintained and cleaned daily. Room cleaniness = 6 out of 5 rating.

My wife & I are BnB operators ourself using our homes in New Zealand and mountain log cabin in Northern California - thus we hope to be treated by hosts as we treat out guests. Owners/operators of Linareva super surpassed our hopes and expectations and taught us a thing or two about 5 STAR hosting servicing. Our hosts went out of their way to ensure everything was as perfect for us as possible including taking every measure possible to offer protection from mosquiteos.

However I personally never saw a single mosquito and was never bitten - definitely not the case on the island of Tahiti.

All snorkeling equipment in top near new condition, Kayaks, bikes, life jackets, all in excellent condition and available free of charge ??? Yes no additional costs !

Bora Bora has absolutely nothing over Moorea Island and Linareva. We canceled our last 10 days at Bora Bora due to our interest to return Linareva Resort !

Small hotel. Lovely hosts. Great snorkeling right off of the pier. Perfect sunset viewing. It’s a little isolated so if you don’t want to just relax, get a car. I will stay here again in a heartbeat

A Rare Jewel!

Amazing place with the kindest owners and staff that make you feel right at home. The place is located on the west side of the island and gets the most stunning of sunsets. The bungalows and the grounds are kept immaculate. You can get breakfast served every morning on your patio and at night, dinner may be ordered for you from a variety of nearby restaurants and many will even come to pick you up. Highly recommended and we will be back.

This property was really really really excellent. It was just how it was described. Unique hotel by the sea on the beautiful island of moorea.

Our room was a good size with a small kitchen. Note there is no lunch and dinner served but the owner helped select and book a table for us at a nearby restaurant. We had a car but you don't need one as the restaurant will come pick you up and drop you off. We had the American breakfast which was lovely and way too much food for us! The fruit as anyway in FP was amazing.

The owner Vanessa really made the stay special. Very nice welcoming and helpful. She had one lady that brought breakfast, did not catch her name, but so friendly and nice. What I have learned about smaller hotels it's the people that change your view on the stay, and they could not have been better. Truly fantastic.

Would we return?... Oh yes!!!. The hotel was so nice and the island perfect. If this is the type of hotel you are looking for... Meaning there are no over the water bungalows and it's not a big resort, think no further... This is the place for you!

Great place. Pier with amazing coral gardens. Vanessa, the host was super helpful and friendly. Room for 2 couples with 2 outdoor bath. Great covered porch, kitchen. Moorea is beautiful and this place made it great visit. We will be back.
