Manava Resort is an absolute dream! You feel like you've stepped straight into a fantasy world that movies are made to model. There is so much that sets them apart, but the deep level of care and kindness shows by the staff really takes Manava to level of hospitality that is unmatched.

The views are absolutely breathtaking! Don't miss a sunset or sunrise. Getting straight into the ocean from a private bungalow over the water is like nothing you could put into words.

The location is great. It's not far (maybe 15 mins) from the ferry terminal and taxis are easy to come by. Honestly, we never felt the need or want to leave the resort as they had everything we needed. We will definitely be back! 20/10 recommend!!

fabulous beach bungalow right on the beach stepped out into the water. Wonderful staff was extremely friendly. The pool was lovely. Only improvement needed was the restaurant for lunch lunchtime. Breakfast was great.

It’s a beautiful over-the-water bungalow. We enjoyed the stunning sunset, and the staff were very welcoming and responsive. Staff would drop of flower to us everyday. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The property has a spa and massage services, a bar and restaurant, an infinity pool, and snorkel rentals.

What a treat it was to stay there. We didn't opt for the over the water bungalows since it was way over our budget, but our room was huge (larger than the bungalows), beautiful and just steps from the beach and the pool. The beach was perfect and we would just walk in the water and there was amazing snorkeling right under the bungalows. The staff was so warm and welcoming.

The first night we found hundreds of ants in our room even in our bed. We thought it was the flowers they brought in the room so we removed those and told the staff. The next day they sprayed and reduce the numbers but still had tons of ants. We found ants throughout all of our belongings so had to remove everything from our suitcases and tried to clean everything up. We understand we are in a tropical climate but didn’t plan on spending our vacation time trying to keep ants from taking over. We expected more from a $1200 a night room.

We enjoyed our stay here. The service was excellent overall. We were welcomed on arrival and given a tour. The bellmen were attentive and kind. The front desk from the overnight staff to the general manager were all helpful and accomodating.

The bar restaurant had great food and drinks as did the main. We stayed over-water and the bungalows were immaculately kept and really stunning.

If I had anything to improve upon it would be the poolside/beach service. It was confusing how to get drink service there. We saw other people getting drinks but we were never asked.

This place was amazing, one of the most beautiful places we have stayed at! We had a family of four and stayed in the premium overwater bungalow three nights and the family suite one night. The views were amazing, rooms were clean and staff was very helpful. They seamlessly moved our things between rooms and were attentive for all of our needs. We used the kayaks and snorkel equipment on site. It was amazing to wake up to rays and reef sharks swimming by our balcony. The drinks were very good and parking was easy.
We ate at the restaurant just a few times and were pleased. The only negative is the number of birds that enter the dining hall. It does not seems to bother the locals but we found it was odd they would sit at the buffet.
We were there during the rainy season so had to reschedule some activities due to rain. I was hoping the concierge would help find some alternative companies that would have opening for our remaining days, but I ended up just calling my self via WhatsApp. Not a huge problem, but was the only thing I would suggest improving.

The onsite activities and shows were fun and kept our kids engaged.

The area is very good on Moorea near a shopping area and there are a few restaurants nearby. There is also a laundromat that is helpful when traveling with family. We liked the area and is in between the ferry and location with activities.

Overall we had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back again!

Wonderful resort in a very convenient location only 10 minutes from ferry terminal. Overwater bungalows are very modern, spacious and gorgeous! Wonderful snorkeling right off your private dock. Beautiful infinity pool with plenty of shaded seating if desired. Definitely a splurge, but well worth it for a special occasion. Hotel provided a beautiful flower greeting and chilled champagne bucket for our anniversary!💕

The pictures of the property are a bit misleading, the beach is very small and shallow even at high tide, the water is generally a bit murky Our beachfront room was dated and needed complete redecoration. There was a lingering smell. The lobby and foyer are lovely, the dining room and bar are nice, but the food was generally the worst we have eaten in French Polynesia. The staff are lovely and helpful. We were surprised when we didn’t receive any response from our initial feedback and concerns. Nearly run over by a staff member reversing at high speed on the path near our room. The pool is nice, again not that big but not in high demand either with a great view back to the mountains. Nice to be close to the village and supermarket. Overall we were disappointed and not what we expected.

Room and bathroom were very clean and all necessities were provided to us. It was a wonderful experience, but I wish it was a little less expensive so we could have afforded more than 1 night there.

Nice hotel, clean and nice room, good area, close to many shops and restaurants, which is nice because the hotel restaurant is very expensive compared to the other restaurants in the area. We stayed for our honeymoon and they arranged a flower spread on our bed and also gave us cookies one day. Kind of disappointed breakfast was not included in our rate which was already pretty expensive, ended up going off property for this as well. Enjoyed the free kayak rentals and beautiful infinity pool.

Spa for our 25th wedding anniversary and my birthday. They really made our stay special
They had happy anniversary written in flowers on our bed and Chilled Champaign waiting for us!
The location was great, walkable to local restaurants and food market.
The Manava has a Polynesian feel and decor.
Facility is very nicely kept and food was also very good.
The lagoon is great for snorkeling as it is filled with beautiful fish!
We highly recommend it!!!

We stayed in the garden view room. It was probably one of the worst rooms on their property as the lock was broken and there was a open space in the door so small geckos or lizards could get in and of course it explained how there were so many mosqitos in our room. The walls just need a good wipe down as they were quite dirty as well. We are easy going people and did not complain about this but informed them of this when done. The food in the bar was okay. We chose to eat else where for most of the stay. Other than that the pool and beach is super nice and staff was pleasant. The polynesian show was very good!

We rented a bungalow and thought it was beautiful. We were in 401 which was right next to a rather busy dock that continually brought boats with anywhere from10 to 30 people and took away from the quiet enjoyment and relaxation and since we were only there for one night, it was quite disappointing. So I would recommend this hotel but if they try to put you in bungalow 401 politely decline and ask for a different placement.

This was our first time ever in Tahiti, plus our Honeymoon so we had no clue what we were expecting. Once we arrived we were told the market was a five minute walk away and some shops as well. After exploring our room and property we went on the five minute walk. That was the best advice we had received. Not only was it a loco market ( we rather support loco than a company) the verity of different fresh made foods were amazing. We would stock up on breakfast lunch and dinner each day and as-well as drinks for the room ( both alcoholic and non ) , and BELIVE me you are gonna save HUGE going that route. Just doing that one day would be one dinner at the restaurant in the resort. Plus you can interact with the locos which are so welcoming. Plus my luck I revived the worst ear infection after the 3 day , now knowing being called “ Tropic Ear “ , the drs office was also across the street from the market and the pharmacy was only 10 minutes up the road. After spend our whole week there we found out this resort had everything around them with in a 5-10 min walk, when other reports you will need to book a car , taxi or scooter to get around. Oh by the way you can go wrong with the BEAUTIFUL sunsets on the main door of the bungalows.

After seeing the general conditions in the island, Manava is a somewhat good resort to stay at. That being said, I would never come back to the resort again or recommend it. We loved the snorkeling around the bungalows. However, staying in the garden bungalow was not worth it and none of the pools are heated. I was really disappointed with the bugs in the room and high cost of food. The staff were generally nice and attentive to our needs as they arise. Overall, after paying so much to stay here, I would say to definitely book somewhere else.

Food and drinks were all exceptional. The option for food at the one restaurant all day is great in addition to the fancier restaurant that has specific hours. The bed is very comfortable and AC worked well. Attention to detail like night stand lamps, showers out by lounge chairs, etc.

I’m not sure why they rent out beach bungalows 302 and 303 though. We were on our honeymoon and wanted a relaxing escape. These are right next to 301 which is the scuba shop. They start talking and loading gear at 6:30am. The garbage trucks come at 3, 4, 5am near there, and they are right by the concrete pier where locals jump into the ocean. Between kids screaming, loud music, and just noise, it was not relaxing many hours of the day. There are a lot of beachfront options on the other side of the complex that I really wish we’d been able to enjoy.

My husband and I recently stayed in a pool bungalow to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel staff surprised us with a beautiful welcome bottle of chilled champagne, flowers decorating the entire room and bed, and special greenery on the bed spelling out Happy Anniversary. Beautiful Polynesian decor and vibe throughout the resort, delicious breakfast buffet. I hope we'll get to stay at the Manava again sometime.

This was a perfect end to our vacation. The reef is amazing to snorkel, the kayaks/paddleboards offered a different experience. Beach was well kept and beautiful.

Hotel service and amenities surpassed expectations. I can’t say enough positive about the staff. Tini greeted us, made us feel so welcome and when we checked out offered the same welcoming feeling. Food was very good and there is a good variety offered, plus being able to take it to the bungalow was a nice option to remain private.

Shore excursion desk was very helpful although we ended up exploring on our own. The options they offered seemed good and reasonable.

The biggest surprise was the gift store offered a wonderful selection of pearls and they had WAY better pricing than anywhere else we visited on this island or Bora Bora.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The one complaint is the noise. We were woken up by roosters every morning starting at 4:30am. The pool area is amazing and the kayaking and paddle boarding is great. The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer.

Great location with an easy walk to a supermarket, small group of shops & a bank. If you’re catching a late ferry they allow you to use the pool and you can book the shower room. The hotel outwardly beautiful with a wonderful pool. But service is not good anywhere. The person passing out towels called me a liar when he thought I took more than one towel per person, which I didn’t. Restaurant and poolside serve is painfully slow. Front desk not helpful.

This is a beautiful peaceful property with amazing staff. I had only one thing I was a bit disappointed about- the bed. If you like firm mattresses this is a good thing for you. Preferably I prefer a bed softer than a park bench. Make sure and take the 5 minute walk to a small set of local shops.

They have a “duplex” where there is a second story with a king/2twins in the “upstairs” level so if you need a little separation, this is a great option. However, note that there is only one bathroom so whoever is sleeping upstairs needs to go downstairs to use the bathroom and that might not work for those who are older or have mobility issues since the stairs are quite steep.

The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
The location is GREAT with a small shopping center a free minutes away by foot, including a small grocery store.
The infinity pool was lovely.
There is a fitness center but it’s just a couple of treadmills and ellipticals.
The AC in our room was POWERFUL so don’t worry about the heat and humidity in Moorea; you will find reprieve in your room.

The only negative was that the food at the bar restaurant sucked. Really, really bad. For instance, my meal came with “wok cooked fresh vegetables” but they were clearly from a bag of mixed frozen veggies heated up in the microwave - they were soggy, bland and overall gross so stay there, but I don’t recommend eating there.
Ditto for the Hilton’s Rotui restaurant. Same gross reheated frozen vegetables and French fries.
Eat at Ccok hotel’s restaurant or the Sofitel.

The property, while a little dated in the public areas, was a great getaway and a great location on Moorea. We experienced the spa and it was an amazing start to our time. Our beach hut was well appointed and quiet. There were gaps in service at times, specifically at the front desk and dining, but everyone was kind overall. They did make our anniversary trip special with generous touches throughout our stay. Overall, very much enjoyed our stay.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The overwater bungalow was absolutely incredible. Moorea is incredible, and if you’re looking for a place to stay, I would choose this place over and over again.

It’s a beautiful property, many spaces to relax, swim, snorkel, and a dive shop on the property. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food is also very good. It’s convenient to walkable restaurants and shopping center. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I’d go back!

This was our second visit to the Manava. Great location, close to the airport, ferry and rental cars. Restaurants close by walking and several stores near by.

The overwater bungalows are fantastic, especially if you get the ones facing out to the ocean.
