Great rooms - plenty of space for 3 travellers (even 1 more as both beds were queen size in our room). Location is 10mins walk from nearest station and about 12mins from nearest convenience store, but very happy with the stay. Seemed like a very safe area. Easy and regular access to Universal City and the city train lines.

Smart TV so we could use Netflix, and lovely views of the city (we were on L12). Great kitchen facilities (including fridge) and bathroom.

We unfortunately ‘walked thru’ the screen door of the property as it was difficult to see at night and we are not use to them. The hotel was very understanding and easy to communicate with about the damage, and repairs costs charged were reasonable.

We had a fantastic stay at The Rise Universal Bayside. The room was fantastic, very spacious with everything required for a comfortable stay. The washing machine and drying facility within the shower/wet room was excellent.
Breakfast was wonderful and the staff were lovely. We also had dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious with a good choice in the menu.
Everything is done electronically at the hotel (check in, room access, breakfast), but very easy and efficient.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Ajikawaguchi train station so very accessible for city centre and further afield. It’s also a 15 min walk from Universal Studios Japan and Citywalk.
We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on our next visit to Osaka.

The room was great and big. Wish the we could have gotten a massage but they didn't offer. The room was large. No steamer or iron which was a bummer bc we could only dry in the bathroom so everything was wrinkled. The hotel is quite far from central osaka so plan for the extra time and the walk to the train.

Apartment was clean,modern and big,but located not really comfortable area its good for residents but not for tourists its really far from other areas and centers,no shopping are around, no convenient stores.
MOST important we don't have hot water in Apartment and no hair dryer,if u wanna go take a shower they got hot springs next building.
Hot Springs was amazing but it will be nice to have hot water in Apartment too.

This was an excellent place to stay for our six nights in Osaka. The location was very convenient, with easy access to Universal Studios and major transit lines. The suite was spacious and offered a wonderful view, and we especially appreciated the in-suite laundry and kitchen. Access to the neighboring onsen and the fitness room were also great perks.
The on-site restaurant was somewhat underwhelming. While there aren’t many supermarkets or dining options in the immediate area, Universal City is just one stop away and offers a wide range of reasonably priced food choices.

It was comfortable. I guess I misread the fried print or did not read it well enough nothing has refills, but it was still OK. I just wish I would’ve known beforehand. The room was very clean and comfortable and the only other thing if you want a bike ride you have to have a Tokyo number in order to rent the bike that was the only thing I wish I would’ve known beforehand as well so I could enjoy my time a little bit better other than that everything was great.

The rooms were cozy, clean and included everything you would need when on vacation. The washer in our unit allowed us to launder our clothes during a long trip but just know that you will have to hang up the clothes to dry using the built in drying unit in the bath/shower. It took us a while to figure this out. The public bathhouse and restaurant is in an adjacent building. I highly recommend making use of both. The tonkatsu noodles were delicious. The only negative I had was the eateries were on the other side of the train tracks but within walking distance. We arrived late in the evening and most places were closed so we ended picking up our dinner from the train station 7-11 right before they closed at 8:30 pm. There are plenty of eateries at the Universal Studios theme park area 1 train station down. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, no complaints.

It's like a whole apartment to you and your party the best hotel I ever stayed out. They have their own laundry machine and gave detergent. They had extra blankets, pillow, amenities, They had utensils and everything. Everything is amazing. Your personal space. Only thing was confusing is check in. There's also no front desk. I enjoyed stay at The Rise Osaka Universal bayside. It is perfect place for family of 4. It has two bedrooms so we can have a good night sleep, not like small hotel room. The bed mattresses are firm and comfortable after a long day walk. The breakfast was great and the hot spring was so relaxing and clean. I enjoyed the outside hot tub because cool air kept me stay longer in the hot tub. And if you are a young adults, the walk to the station is not too bad. maybe just 5 to 10 min walk. Location is great and it was perfect for me and my old parents.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at The Rise Osaka Universal Bayside.
I reached out just one day before flying to Japan, and the team went above and beyond by allowing us to check in early at 10am instead of the standard 10pm. When we arrived at 9am after nearly 25 hours without proper sleep, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely staff member who not only assisted with our check-in but also let us know our room was already ready. That moment alone made a huge difference for us.
She personally walked us to our room and helped us settle in, which really set the tone for the rest of our stay. The room itself was clean, tidy, and spacious—we had a two-bedroom setup with a great balcony view. The inclusion of a washing machine was a massive bonus and made our two-week stay incredibly convenient.
The hotel was easy to navigate, and everything felt well thought out. The breakfast service was fantastic, and both lunch and dinner options were delicious and reasonably priced.
What truly stood out, though, was the hospitality. Every single staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile each day—it genuinely felt like they cared. That level of consistency is rare and made this one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had.
The location is also excellent—Ajikawaguchi Station is only about a 5-minute walk away, and having both FamilyMart and 7‑Eleven nearby made everything super convenient.
A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. From myself and my wife!

We had mixed feelings about this place. Pros: If you are going to be traveling to the universal/Disney stuff then this is a fantastic location with just a 15 minute walk to the universal Studios which had plenty of easily accessible food and very close to the train station. This place also had a wonderful set up and was great for our family of four. My husband and kids were both able to have their own space in addition to having a full kitchen. The price for this place also was quite impressive and we really appreciated it being easy on the budget. It had a wonderful spa with pools that was open to guest and we very much enjoyed this amenity. Cons: other than the Universal Studios there really isn’t much else around there. Unfortunately it was regularly a $30-$40 cab ride one way into Osaka where we were able to enjoy more of the city life or other food options. So it pretty much added $80-ish on a day for us to get around and then back to the hotel. Check-in was a bit of a pain, although they had wonderful communication via email. We had multiple attempts where hotel staff would just stare at us as we were trying to get in the building with the use of the code and punching it in the door with difficulty as there was multiple keypads and on your first few attempts it can be a little confusing as you have multiple codes when in the facility. We found the communication and ability to reach anyone other than via email was rather difficult. We we’re not a fan of the breakfast.

Check in process could be better, when you walk inside there isn’t a live agent. You have to figure it out. They do provide you with a check in code but then you have to figure out the rest. Rooms are spacious & clean. location is close to the train station but that’s it no restaurants, not much to do around there. If you do need a restaurant you can use the one from the hotel. Hotel food was tasty, I recommended it.

A very comfortable condo style stay at the RISE Osaka Bayside. The suite is so modern and the check-in and check-out processes were a breeze. Their breakfast is also top notch, even their boxed breakfast for early goers/risers was very delicious! Highly recommend also if your stay in Osaka includes a visit to the Universal Studio as the hotel is just one train station away from USJ and is also a walkable distance to it.

The unit we had included 2 bedrooms: one with two double beds and one with a queen bed. It was perfect for our family of 4. The unit also had a decent sized kitchen, bathrooms (separate room for the toilet and a separate wet shower/bathroom) and laundry. Worth noting, the machine is wash only (not a combined dryer) but the bathroom has a clothes dry setting on the fan, so we used that to try clothes, and put some in the rack on the balcony. Hangers and clips were provided, which was appreciated. Other things provided and not expected were slippers, combs and toothbrushes with paste. The room was very high tech, from a contactless checkin and check out to the bathtub that can reheat your water. We had a lovely view over the water and found the unit to be very quiet and comfortable. Conveniently located one stop from universal city but there wasn’t much around for amenities. There was a larger grocery store/Family Mart within 10-15mins walk, but not much else, so you’ll want to eat elsewhere or buy food to prepare in your unit.

Very clean and spacious (for Japan) and is close to universal. That is where the positive stops. Check in time on website is 2pm but it is actually 3pm, and you cannot leave luggage so we were stuck waiting and wasting our day. This is not communicated clearly ahead of time except for in terms in an email 2 days prior. The room was freezing and all heating turned off when we arrived. Fire alarm in the unit continually and randomly sounded briefly for no reason, was a glitch. The beds are hard as a hard as the floor to sleep on. There are no staff available at all for questions. Check out time on the website is 12pm but it is not correct as they need you out by 10am. Feels more like an apartment than a hotel. Not recommended at all.

Onsen is great but shared with the public too; so it does get busy and with a lot of locals. It’s a really nice facility with sauna, cold bath, honey bath, outside bathtubs and a carbonated bath to name a few.

Overall would definitely stay again and recommend, especially if you’re going to universal.

The hotel is right near USJ theme park which my daughter was keen to go to. It was excellent value and provided a condo-style spacious room ideal for families with all the amenities. The check-in system was a breeze and almost everything is automated. The restaurant and Hot Spring are in the next building along (literally 30 seconds out the door) and they were both excellent. The Onsen in particular was outstanding and amazing to use - all in English and automated again. It was my first time using an Onsen and I will always remember it. The staff are watchful and appear only when needed, with nice small touches and gifts. This place was truly excellent and will be top of my list to stay again in Osaka in the future.

I booked The Rise so we can walk to Universal. It was beautiful. We booked for a family, The kids really enjoyed the stay here. It was close to Universal, Family mart and train station. Bathrooms were great. They had a washing machine as well. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. They had an Onsen as well, which we loved! It was easy to check in. I will definitely be back again. This was one of our favourite places to stay in Japan. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing. This place was built in 2025, so everything is brand new. It is close enough to Universal Studios Japan, but not in the middle of the large and loud crowds, as well as close enough to get into the other areas of Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto. We booked for a stay of 6 nights but only 2 small packets of detergent were provided. Pillows and blankets shld be provided for guests sleeping in the tatami area in the living room. We could only make do with the small cushions so didnt sleep well. And there was no one to contact for help.

Overall, the place was clean. Short 7 min walk to the train station was a plus. There are no amenities in the area so get what you need in town before heading back.

Breakfast was a choice of Japanese or Western. Same dishes throughout the 6 days so got a bit sick of it towards the end.

Room was immaculate and enough space for family of 3. The self-check in process was seamless. The Rise team communicated effectively via email. Breakfast had both Traditional Japanese and Western option for breakfast. They were both set menu. Convenient 300 metre walk to Ajikawaguchi Train Station. Close to Universal Studios and City Walk.
