The staff were very helpful. Breakfast buffet was delicious and even though we came in later we never felt rushed unlike other hotels we've been at. The public bath after a long day was appreciated too. Location was great, room was clean.

Lovely room, beautiful view (12 floor corner room), was able to enjoy the sunrise as the room faced east. Booked this hotel because of the proximity to USJ, the staff was friendly and efficient, the room was clean, beds comfortable. Did not use the onsen because we were exhausted but it looked great.

This hotel was a peaceful retreat with a stunning onsen and breathtaking views. Soaking in the hot spring while overlooking the surrounding scenery was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, perfect after a long day of exploring. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the staff were warm and welcoming. It was the ideal place to rest and recharge.

Room was clean and staff was very helpful with luggage transfers and recommendations. Breakfast was good mix of Japanese and western, very filling!
Location is convenient to train station and USJ with lots of options and stores on Universal Citywalk. Room is on the smaller side but corner room has views of the wharf and USJ. Great stay!

So here's my thoughts after staying at this resort.

When you walk into the lobby there is a air of cigarette smoke coming from the smoking room. After 5 minutes of being in the lobby this is going to give me cataracts.

The staff was incredibly friendly and very professional.

The room was comfortable and clean. The Riverview though is obstructed by another resort. So you never get a Riverview.

The sky spa, which was the reason I stayed here, is not open. And is obstructed from any view. Essentially you have no idea that you were on the rooftop minus the fact that you pressed The top floor to get there. And the sky spas extremely small also. I was expecting a lot more and at least an open area. I wanted to be outside.

Moving on to breakfast the next morning. There are way too many people in here. And people are allowed to come down on their pajamas which is incredibly annoying which also puts way too many people in the room. The breakfast service needs a full renovation in customer service, in amount of food and flow in the room. Have a air of upgrade ability simply by telling people that they cannot show up in their hotel given pajamas.

Beyond that the air of cigarette smoke coming from the smoking room with over 100 cigarettes in this thing, is blowing into the breakfast room. My voice is still hoarse from the amount of cigarette smoke I was breathing. This was a horrible experience. It also changes the flavor of the food. You can do better, easily.

The room we were initially given had a strong, musty smell, which was quite disappointing. After requesting a room change twice, we were finally moved to one that was more acceptable, though still not as fresh as expected. For a place with a 4-star rating, we would have expected a clean and fresh-smelling room upon arrival as a basic standard. That said, the Sky Spa was a highlight of our stay — a unique and enjoyable experience that helped make up for the initial disappointment.

Overall this place was great aside from the lack of cleanliness.
Awesome location for visiting Universal (though not easy or cheap to get to places like Dotonbori), staff was lovely, and rooms are spacious. We loved having the in-room private onsen.
It was very loud at night with kids running down the hallways when the park closed around 8-10, but that’s to be expected with the location.
The main problems we had were there was an excess of mold in the shower, stains on the wall and curtains, general dust, and my skin was very itchy the whole time we stayed there. Don’t know if it was the sheets or if I have an allergy to something in the detergent or soap I’m not aware of!
Overall, glad we stayed here but if it had been cleaner we would have been significantly more comfortable.

Comfortable beds - we had a larger than king size bed and there was also a sofa convertible bed option which my daughter chose to sleep on. We had a great stay, only issue is the rooms very small so our 3 suitcases were constantly in the walkway. Other than that, a great stay. Close as you can get to the Universal City train station and a short walk to Universal Studios which was perfect.

A honeymoon to remember in Osaka

Amazing location and room. We booked the King Room with Open-air Bath, Non Smoking. Definitely a choice we won't regret. It was a close walk to Universal Studios as well as Universal City Station. Our highlight was the open-air bath. It was super spacious, allowing us to relax after a long day/ walk at USJ park. Staff were friendly and attentive, with luggage handling and whatnot. There was just this one woman at the concierge. I am communicating about getting a key card early for my own personal reasons, and there was a waste of time back and forth.
Other than that, I would have rated the hotel 5 stars for 'service'.

We stayed there mainly for USJ so it was great to go there in the morning. If someone wants to enjoy Osaka’s city and other areas, I suggest to consider another hotel in the city. JR doesn’t share travel ticket/cost with other subway/train lines and it was a bit annoying.
The big bath on the 14th floor was very good, though.

This property is really perfect if you are going to Universal Studios. It is a short walk to the park. You can even go back to the room midday for a nap and go back to the park at night. It’s also conveniently located right next to the JR station and there’s a 7Eleven right next door.

After a long day’s walking, they have a spa and sauna open through the night. We found it to be a great option to have something to do during early morning when you can’t sleep due to jet lag.

Rooms are a little small and could have been cleaner (wear and tear on cushions and the shower curtain was mildew), but for the price point, convenience, and onsite spa this place is really great.

The hotel is located in a convenient location in universal city above the train station. The rooms are much smaller than the pictures show you, bathrooms smell damp ( like a cruise ship kind of) and the roll away bed for my child was pointless as it was hard as a rock, not able to be slept on and had to sleep with us. The room attendants kept switching our fridge off everyday when making up the room which would make our things go hot. The room also does not have a safe which isn’t the best for travellers! The curtains had mould and they also aren’t blackout so as soon as the sun is up, so were you.

First world problems but would stay elsewhere in the future.

Such an amazing hotel! The breakfast was amazing, the amenities, and we even had our own private outdoor tub area, which was so great after a long day out! Nice hotel but not good service for Japan

The open air bath is amazing but the room itself felt more cramped than the pics would have you believe.

The queue for breakfast was enormous. There were many, many empty seats but they were not letting people on and I had to complain. There were school trips to Universal but they were all arriving late and the were not caring they were causing others to be late for the park. There were people leaving the kitchen but they were not letting other people in. The service was terrible.

Poor selection for English speaking travellers, from breakfast which didn’t cater for Western tastes and reception staff who only spoke Japanese. The rooms were tiny by Western standards and there was nowhere to store your clothes. Positively, it was ideally located within minutes walk of Universal City, train station and Universal Studios.

Came with my family for Universal Studios. It is right next to the train but you have to take a couple stops to get her from Kansai Airport. We found out after you can take a bus from the airport directly to Universal so that would have been easier. But the hotel itself is nice, great breakfast (even for vegetarians) and a great onsen as well.

very clean and spacious hotel. Enjoyed the hot bath at the top floor and it was not overly crowded. But parents with kids need to manage their kids well in the hot bath as many kids was jumping and yelling in the hot bath which was supposedly a place for you to relax.

I loved this hotel so much I really did. It was the best hotel we had in all of Japan but I can't give it 5 stars as I was attacked by another tourist during breakfast at this hotel so I can't give them full stars even though I really want to. I did nothing wrong and this crazy tourist harassed me two mornings in a row and on the second morning it got physical. The hotel did nothing to protect me. I did not feel safe at this hotel.

This property was not clean. Our bathroom had remnants from previous guests. The room furnishings were worn and threadbare. The heater — when on — created stinky air.

The bathroom itself had a tipped floor. And it was made of a material we have never encountered before. Definitely not friendly to bare feet. The hotel did not supply a bathmat and gave us only two bath towels and two hand towels (one of which became our bathmat).

The breakfast room was extremely crowded with an amusement-park-like line! The food was merely edible. The worst was the floor. My sneakers stuck and squeaked with every step. We bought 3 breakfasts and ate only one. The Starbucks nearby or even the 7-Eleven are better bets!

Overall, it was among the worst hotels I have visited. There are many choices in the area. This one should be a last resort. Pricey for a Motel 6 experience.

An amazing hotel experience

The hotel was perfect...It was convenient as you exit the hotel the train station is right there. You also are right on the Universal City Walk which has lots of places to shop and eat. 7-11 which is also right there makes it easy to buy your favorite foods and just go up to your room. I love that they provide you with comfortable pajamas to wear everyday and they liquid bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner are aromatic. I couldn't have picked a better hotel. I highly recommend this one!!!

Great place and very near to universal studios. The beds are low to the ground, so great for kids. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, giving us directions for the trains and providing advice. I even lost my watch at one point and the front desk helped me find it! I would go back.
