No free water nor coffee/tea provided in the room. Limited time for drink facilities in the lobby - very inconvenient. Hotel is far from the restaurant hub of city centre. Room rate expensive by comparison.

The room was great, breakfast was amazing, the sidewalk outside the hotel was very slippery (icy), overall stay was great except for the interaction with the front desk agent (man with long hair), I did not get a warm welcome, he needs to have a nicer attitude, and he looked bored doing his job.

A very wonderful experience here in vessel. Customer service is wonderful. Room is a little on the smaller side like the rest of the city hotels but is clean good enough for me. Bed and pillows are comfortable to ensure a good night sleep. Location is about 15 mins walk to Susukino street. Carpark is guided automated parking for 1300 Yen per night. Soup, drinks and hot coffee provided at the hotel lobby.

Excellent breakfast for sashimi rice bowl lovers. They also offered other Hokkaido dishes. Good location - near metro and airport bus station. Room is traditional design but roomy and very functional with shower and tub separately. They offered water, coffee, tea and other drinks at lobby 24x7. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

It's easy access from the metro station to the hotel, also about 10 minutes away from the centre of Susukino. The breakfast buffet is good, especially for raw food lovers, you can make your own chirashi don with rice or vinegar rice.

Not right in the centre but short enough walk to get there and plenty to see on the way. Great buffet breakfast and room is compact like most accommodation in Japan but clean and sufficient. Had a good night sleep with no noise disturbances. Also excellent to be able to open window for fresh air if desired.

The AC cool air is weak during the afternoon period. Some Front desk people show bad altitude to you during check in and even asking question. The washroom has bad smelling. The laundry dryer is weak to dry thicker clothes.

Recommended hotel for Sapporo stay

The rooms we got for this trip were spacious and clean. We also loved how the toilet was separate from the bathroom like in most Japanese homes. Further, our bathroom felt like we had our own private onsen. The front desk personnel were also very accommodating to our requests for assistance. Breakfast staff were also very pleasant and polite. Location was also great as it was near Nakajimakoen subway station and there was also an airport liner bus stop right outside. Wonderful stay overall!

Breakfast is beyond expectations

No word to the Breakfast, it's only excellent. Sea food is the best, fresh and tasty. Our room was premium room that was spacious and comfortable. Exit 2 of Subway is the the closest exit to the Hotel Vessel Inn but there is a elevation in Exit 1 for thise carrying luggages.

The hotel room is clean and tidy. Restaurants and convenient stores are nearby. Short walking distance to the Nakajima train station. Limousine bus to the New Chitose airport just next to the hotel. Breakfast is tasty. Don't miss it!

Room is quite spacious and functional. Extra toiletries, free drinks are provided at lobby. Breakfast area is quite cramped like a canteen but the food is fresh and great varieties. Very near airport bus stop. The only con is slightly far away if going beyond Susukino area.

Incredible breakfast buffet

All you can eat breakfasted as part of our stay. Unlimited salmon eggs, scallop, salmon, tuna, shrimp, masago eggs, and others. It is unbelievable. 30 seconds from the subway station.

3mins walk from subway. Easily accessible.

Recommended for light travelling tourists (1 luggage each). Not for those with multiple luggages to carry.

Not in the heart of Sapporo. But easily accessible via sapporo station abd switch to Nakajima Keon Station.

Room was clean, air flow was good. Window can be opened temporary for ventillation. bed & pillow were comfortable.

Near Selcomart (mini mart) & several steeet restaurants.

Bathroom toiletries (Pola) were refreshing. Overall great stay.

Location is better than I've thought. You can easily get to the busy area of Susukino on foot. Room is quite small. The sashimi selection at breakfast is good, but there seems to be nothing more other than sashimi.

Good stay just confused staff during checkin

the room was great, everything was new and comfortable... the pillows are a bit weird, half beans and half soft. the checkin took more than 30mins for us as the staff couldn't find our reservation. but i paid for all the nights in full through expedia months ago and luckily i printed a copy of my reservation details. STILL they couldn't find my reservation. they made us wait in the lobby area for 30mins, and kept telling us they are checking our reservation. it was 11pm after a 9 hours flight so wasn't happy at all.

Great hotel next to the park and the metro.

Stayed couple of night in the city and very good stay in this hotel. The staff is alway nice and courteous as expected in Japan. The room was small but clean. The breakfast buffet was very good considering the room cost was reasonable.

Great hotel for family. Great location.

We are family with 3 kids and we stayed at Premiere room which is perfect and spacious for us. The location of the hotel was excellent, 2 mins walk from Nakajima Park as well as Nakajima Koen subway station where you can go to Odori and Sapporo station, which are only 2-3 stops away.

The only down side is breakfast closed at 9.30 am which is quite early for us since we have to get 3 kids ready. Wish the breakfast could be up til 11 am.

But overall very pleased with the hotel and will stay there again when we visit sapporo!

I had a double bed room. The Room size is ok for what u get in Japan. Amenities are complete, ladies even get complimentary mask, moisturizer etc. The hotel also provides phone charger!! You can adjust your own air condition which is a plus to me. I think everything is good except the location.

Pro: good value, clean, new

Cons: location, takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the crowded areas

Tips:

Take exit 2 and turn left when u come out from the train station.

Airport shuttle bus is right in front of the hotel.

This was the first stop on a three week trip to Japan. Couldn't be happier to start off our trip in the Vessel Inn. The hotel was in a great location, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and much bigger than I expected based on some of the other comments here. Not huge rooms, but I'be stayed in FAR smaller rooms in Europe. The breakfast was amazing. Best breakfast of the entire trip.

This hotel was short walk to ' live' part of city and restaurants. , without being right in middle of noise etc. . It had great breakfast selection, and labelled its foods for allergens. Staff were friendly and helpful. there was lovely big park close by. Room was typically small , but well laid out and very functional.

Clean Hotel in Excellent location

The hotel is in good location which is close to subway station in Sapporo then take you to other areas via subway. Taxi less than Yen 1000 from hotel to Sapporo JR Station. Hotel staff can understand English and Mandarin if you are lucky enough to see them on duty. The staff are very helpful when we asked for directions. The main street of the hotel is very busy at night. Restaurants, night clubs and big department stores with supermarket are all within walking distance. Don;t worry, the structure of the hotel can block all the noise from the street. Safe area.

Excellence Breakfast

We stayed total of 5 nights for our honeymoon, the staff are very helpful and friendly compared with the hotel we stayed in Tokyo.

The room is small as usual :) but the cleanliness is excellence and they did provide housekeeping everyday and the location is very near to the subway.

The most attractive of this hotel is the breakfast, we ate every morning and until now I still miss the breakfast.

I would recommend my relatives or friends to stay at this hotel when they visit Sapporo.

We came for 2 days prior to heading to Niseko. I would definitely stay here again when in Sapporo. We took the train directly from the airport and the hotel entrance is literally 1/2 block from the Subway exit. On the same line you can be at all the major sites and stops within minutes (Susukino, Odori, Sapporo).

Breakfast was decent (not great, not bad), rooms were clean though in typical Japan fashion on the smaller side. We had our ski bags shipped from Tokyo and they were there waiting for us upon arrival. We also rented a car and they have a car park out back for ¥1000/day. A number of rental car places and convenience stores are within a 2-5 min walk. I'd also recommend heading to the Kirin Beer Garden for their BBQ (5 min walk).

We had a great stay at Vessel Inn and will definitely consider the same brand for our trip to other parts of Japan. The reception staff are very polite and will greet you without fail at any time you walked past them. Some can speak very good English too. Housekeeping are so thoughtful that they placed 3 different colored toothbrush for 3 of us so there won't be any mixed up. Staff at breakfast lounge are very cheerful and polite and they refill all items very quickly even when it's almost towards the end of breakfast time.

The room size is small for a double bed. The 3 bed room is slightly bigger. Though small the amenities is complete. The price is great and location is really convenient with a short walk to Ramian alley etc. Breakfast buffet is just awesome. The bread is good, spread is just right. Many details from bathroom to room air cleanliness is taken care.

in summary : small but cheap and good.

Stay here you will not regret it

Excellent location as subway station (Nakajima Koen Station ) to travel to main Sapporo station a 30 second walk and five minute ride to the heart of Sapporo and a transfer point to anywhere in Hokkaido. Vessel Inn offers a great breakfast buffet for seafood lovers and Japanese style delicacies....hotel staff friendly and excellent support in English. Rooms are large and comfortable with excellent wi-fi and all this for a very reasonable room rate with breakfast included. Definitely returning......
