Motel needed an update a decade ago. No chair in room. No ice. No drinking water. Hot breakfast was cold (that a food safety violation in most places.). No juices in juice dispenser. A lot of money for a place that shouldn’t be allowed in the hospitality business.

Breakfast was good. Check in was fast and easy. Staff friendly. Didn't use the pool but it was nice and clean. Room was clean and in good shape. Handicap parking was far from entrance in our building. No ramp at our entrance. We propped open the locked side door to use the only ramp near the Handicap parking. Nothing that would keep us away another time. Go to Ted's Steakhouse. Good food. Nearby.

Hotel was recently renovated which was the only plus. The room we got was missing furniture (arm chair) and staff was unable to locate another chair. Light on one side of bed could not work because there was not outlet for it to be plugged into. Not a single USB charging port anywhere in the room which given today's use of rechargeable electronics is unacceptable. Will not be staying there again and wouldn't recommend it.

The terrible rating is due to the fact that this place has a “policy” that anyone with an ID within 70 miles of the area cannot get a room there.

Explained that they had problems with students partying in the past, while that is understandable.

I’m clearly not of “party age” in fact closer to 60, and significantly disabled. And although I moved away, was dealing with property issues. And haven’t had time to switch ID yet…

The breakfast staff were really slow at keeping food stocked. We arrived 30 minutes after the breakfast opened and all that was available was yogurt and granola bars. I asked for yogurt and they seemed put out. The rooms were ok. Very outdated. We did not want to shower there because we found ants in the bathroom.
One of the customers went out on the balcony to brush his teeth. He spit over the side of the railing as people were walking in and out of the side door. They have no security in the side doors. They use a large rock to prop the door open. Overall stay was horrible.

This is definitely an older hotel, but given that, we had a really good experience here. It was so nice to have the 3 queens with one in a seperate room for our family. There was a hot breakfast which was nice. It had it's quirks -- no counter space around the sink, chips in the sink, building side door that you help open with a rock instead of using a key, haha. But truly it was a good night's sleep outside of Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the staff were all quite nice and helpful.

This was the strangest hotel stop so far on a 6 week road trip. Check in was simple, but when I got to the room, heard the TV on loud from the hall. Opened the door to find the bed top cover all ruffled. Called the front desk, was told “sometimes the maid turns on the TV while cleaning and maybe she sat on the bed to watch TV”. Then I asked about ice and was informed the ice machine was broken. At bedtime, discovered the bed had been made without using a top sheet. Is this a health violation? Finally the person that made up the room never replaced the cups, so they had a coffee machine but no cups. Notified the desk at check out, was told that she’d make a note of it. They should train their employees to at least act like they care. Maybe write the complaints down, even if they throw out the paper as soon as the customer leaves. breakfast options were pathetic as mostly empty. Out of yogurt, out of coffee and making more takes 15 minutes. First and last visit to this brand of Best Western hotels.

Door lock wouldn't work; shower didn't work; whole place felt run down. When I raised the shower issue at the front desk, was told there's a special way to turn the shower on - I said that info should be in the room, and received a blank stare. Never stay here again.

The room had not been turned down. There was food and strands of hair in the bed, when we pulled back the sheets. There was a clump of hair on the floor next to the lamp. It was disgusting. We could not stay there. We do not need fancy, but cleanliness is a must.

Parking was easy. Staff didnt mention cont. breakfast. We did try to enjoy breakfast 2nd day but arrived with an hour to spare. No waffle mix, no milk for cereal. And no coffee. It was an ok stay. But just a small amount of unpleasantries. It is in a nice part of town. Be warned no elevator.

Do Not Stay Here! The hotel robbed me of $250 claiming I stole pillows when I absolutely did not. Rude staff when I asked why I had an unexplained charge on my card. When we stayed, rooms all around us were up partying loudly until early morning hours. Paper thin walls. Not a safe feeling location. Just a terrible overall experience. Save yourself the hassle.

There were too many issues that would not be tolerated at a more diligently managed property. The toilet tank fill valve and flapper valve did not work (fortunately I could deal with those for 1 overnight). The sink cold water faucet was not attached properly. The room smelled really bad.

The room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breafast was standard budget friendly hotel breakfast. (I love the hotel wafflemakers) The location is decent with some restraunts, fast food and convience stores within walking distance. Groceries are a bit farther. We did have to replace our room key cards on numerous occasions as they would just stop working. Also, we were very disappointed to find the hot tub was inoperable. Overall, it was a great stay for an even better price.

This was the only hotel that checked off things we were looking for in a stay for the night. Dog friendly, hot tub, pool, and continental breakfast. In reality it only covered 1 of 4 things listed above. And I'll give you a hint, it was the fact that they were dog friendly. I asked during check in, if the hot tub and pool were up and running. I was told the hot tub was \"under maintenance\" but that the pool was nice and warm. The pool was frigid cold, and the pool house smelt like mildew. I am 8 months pregnant I just wanted to float in the pool. Come morning time I went downstsirs, and grabbed some waffles, a chocolate muffin and orange juice. The waffles were meh, the prepackaged muffin tasted like freezer burn and the OJ had a funky after taste. We ended up checking out and going to a local restaurant instead.

The hot tub wasn't even working, which was annoying since that was one of the reasons that we booked the place. They didn't have any coffee when I went down around eight o'clock and no staff around to replace it. But the beds are super comfortable, and it was very quiet, and I like that.We could have our dog and the price is right. I would stay again.

The hot tub was ice cold. Pool was a bit warmer but hardly tolerable. The pool was very rundown and dirty. To get to the pool we had to walk across an icy parking lot. The rooms were okay but could definitely be cleaner. When we went to get breakfast there was no coffee.

The service was ok but that was about it. The hotel was dirty, the room had a leak thru the ceiling from upstairs above our tub, there was no smoke detector it was removed wires just left, we had to move to a smaller room and it looked like it had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom above the tub that looked like it had been painted over. There was only one bed in this room so we had to use an uncomfortable rollaway bed that barely fit because the room was so small. There were open ceilings in the hallways, exposing mechanical piping. The parking lot in between the two buildings was covered in ice.

I'd like to start that our room was on the second floor back, Wifi connection was not available in those rooms so I have to go to the main building to grab some internet. Another concern and the main one is that there was no emergency exit near the room we stayed, room 408, in case of emergency or fire I have to go to the other far end of the building to get the stairs.

Traveled from Salt Lake airport to stay at your hotel. Thought we would get some rest once we reach there. Check-in process was quick. Went to the room got fresh and just before going to bed saw the pillow covers and bed sheets had dirty stains on them. Went to the front desk to see if we could switch rooms but desk clerk told you were fully books and gave me clean sheets and said \"Sorry\" no kind of hospitality. He went back in the office and shut the door WOW. I had to make the bed at a hotel where I paid to stay.
Next when making the bed saw a spider on the bedsheet. I am with my little girl and I for sure dont want her or anyone in my family to get bit by a spider. Inspected the whole room to make sure there were no other unwanted guests in the room. I did find a crushed can of a beer under the bed.
Next morning i showed the picture of the spider to the lady at the front desk and asked her to have housekeeping do a detail clean of the room and she said she will put it on the schedule. Came back to the room at the end of the day and room was still the way we left. Stayed 5 days in the same room and there was no housekeeping done on any of those days. We had to make our own beds before leaving so that we come to a decent bed to sleep on.
Morning breakfast on 1st day was good but juice machine was not working. Next days out of fruits yogurt bread and one of those days there was no coffee. Could not believe that such motels existed.
I gave up asking for anything from the front

I didn’t do breakfast, the room was so so far as cleanliness the keys to the door got changed and never did work so I had problems there. There was no ice machine that worked. There is no machine that work for candies retreats out by the check-in basically the hotel was kind of ran halfway and very short with the amenities for anybody staying there.

From the moment you step in the door the funk hits you. The room had hair on the bathroom floor, including pubic hair, that was not ours. The carpeting had not been vacuumed.
The room was not furnished with hand towels. They were promised and we finally went to get them. Only to discover a bloodstain on one of them, again, not ours. It looked as tho’ someone had shaved their legs in it and it had not been cleaned. I could go on but needless to say would not ever stay here again. Would not recommend.

After check-in, we discovered that there were no towels in the room, missing pillows on the bed, and the hallway was filthy (used dryer sheet, dental pick, trash on the floors). Morning breakfast, in a different building, required a full circuit around to the front door, only to find no drinks provided other than coffee (juice equipment was broken, and nothing for children), and inadequate food for all the guests. Service was casual, at best. Worst stay of our 10-day vacation.

The desk clerk who checked us in was unpleasant and told us we could not have a ground-floor room although I requested it when I made the reservation because my husband is handicapped. We finally were put in one of the first floor rooms opposite Bldg. A. Other staff members, especially Grandma Vi, were delightful. The plumbing didn't work in our room, but someone came with a plunger to take care of it. The vinyl plank floors in the room were not clean enough to go without shoes.

This hotel is in serious need of attention. There were dirty sheets laying in the hallway, the public bathroom was filthy, the rooms smelled and were not clean, the doors to the hotel were unlocked, the breakfast was unacceptable, the ice machine and jacuzzi were broken. I would never stay at this hotel again. Should be taken off the expedia list.

Awful. Checked in, went to room. No toilet paper in the bathroom. There was, however, toilet paper stuck in the eye view in the door so people couldn’t see in. Went to go lay in the bed, sheets were still dirty with hair. I’m sure this room was never cleaned after last guest.

My wife called at 8:30 pm on Sept 25th to ensure our reservation was valid. We arrived at 10:15 pm on Sept 25th and was told we did not have a reservation. I had the printed copy from Expedia. The receptionist lied and was untruthful. We got our money back and at midnight found another hotel. Stay away from this property!

Staff was very accomodating by adding an extra night with no penalty. If I used Expedia I would have lost my deposit.
Only one ice machine on facility and it was out of order. However staff sent some one to buy a bag for me and another guest. Sink area was very small with no place to set cosmetics. Room had sufficent outlets for chargers

Close to Black Rock Canyon. Convenient location within walking distance of several restaurants. We were in a second, separate building also housing the pool area. It did not require key entry into the building. While at breakfast another guest asked to have the waffle batter replenished and was told it takes too long to make it.

Some of the bedding had burnt marks from cigarettes, some of the coffee creamers were moldy, the pool and laundry were in a whole different building the guest bathroom in the hallway had cleaning supplies and it, no garbage cans, anywhere and public places. The hotel was older, which lead to an unclean feeling in a few major areas; carpet, couch was full of trash under cushions, space behind tables were dirty with trash, bad odor in room. We made it work for the one night, because the area that made the biggest impact for our family were the beds. They were clean. We were able to open the windows and air out the room for a while before sleeping. This helped the odor.

The hot tub was cold and had a horrible odor to it. The pool was cold, but my kids did play in it for a short while with no complaint in the warm weather.
