Great location and close to grocery store and a great Mexican restaurant within walking distance.
Kathiravan
Pleasant very and very nice experience. we missed the pool though.
Jeff
Great place to stay when flying into Montrose airport. Grocery store, Mexican restaurant, Murdoch store all great places.
Harlie
Great hotel. A little noisy - can hear your neighbors a little too well.. other than that. I love it. Will be staying here again.
John
The staff was friendly and super helful, the breakfast was really good, one of the best of all the Holiday Inn's that I've stayed at.
Wendell
Excellent in every aspect but the price. How can ordinary working families enjoy a vacation to this beautiful scenic area when it costs $400 per night These people don't have the opportunity to earn reward points to make their stay more reasonable.
Celine
Very clean
LORI
The property was very nice and the hotel super clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was absolutely amazing and we especially felt welcome with the cook coming out to check and see if we liked everything. Top notch hotel. I would highly recommend.
Donna
Nice hotel in a great location. Only about 30 minutes from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
Safeway right next door with lots of quick bites options.
Sunday breakfast staff could have been better prepared. Monday staff was much more organized.

Just remodeled! Like a new hotel!
Roger
The lady at the desk would not help us with hotel to airport transfers and was very uncooperative in assisting us. Her name was Jade and she was borderline rude. She had to be pushed into setting up guaranteed airport shuttle.
Janet
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Ridiculous that the property is “100% smoke-free” yet every time you walk outside you walk right into a smoking area. The smoking areas should be MUCH further away from the doors. Breakfast was mediocre. Omelets were cold and overcooked. Bacon was literally half raw.

This is a comfortable and clean hotel, The check-in was quick and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good, with a lot of selection.
Marylouise
Property was lovely, staff friendly and helpful.
Blake
Very clean room, great breakfast, and very friendly staff. Probably the best Holiday inn we have stayed at.
Juan
Nice place.
Cyndi
Breakfast didn't start until 7am - we were out of there by 6am- no offer of something to go -
Susan M.
We had a nice stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was quiet, and the breakfast was good, although the breakfast bar couldn't keep the bacon supplied with the full house they had!
Leaha
Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly.
Melanie
Wonderful

The hotel and rooms were very clean and maintained. The shuttle drivers were so nice and knowledgeable about the area. Full breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area!
Monique
The staff were very friendly and helped navigate around the area. The breakfast was ok. Typical of these type of hotels. Super clean. Loved the layout of the room (spacious) and a large TV on the wall.
Laura
Friendly and helpful staff, good coffee, and I appreciated the free shuttle to and from the airport.
Theresa
Property should offer free bottled water for guests for the price we paid.
The bathroom door is way too close to the toilet so maybe install a sliding door instead.

The Montrose Holiday Inn Xpress is doing a great job maintaining their remodel! As they were in the process of getting the carpets cleaned I learned they also have the air units in each room cleaned every year as well (something you’d hope once it was mentioned but is now confirmed).
The staff is Super helpful & friendly and the breakfast is really quite good!

Nicole

Miguel
A lot of confusion with the shuttle
John
The Inn was well kept and provided what we needed since our dog was with us. Staff was friendly to our pet, had a few dog snacks. There are plenty of shops and eating establishments in the area. Breakfast was top-notch.
Catherine
Room was clean. No luggage rack, however. Lack of space in bathroom, and no side tables except between beds. No outlets on the side of the bed I slept on either. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to charge my phone next to me rather than across the room. Our neighbors on one side were incredibly noisy, not the fault of the hotel but made it hard to fall asleep
kevin
Taylor was incredibly helpful! Will stay again.
Patrick

David
Everything was perfect as expected and staff loves to laugh and definitely made me feel like I was home even though I was away working and away from my family. Thank you to the staff the housekeepers and all who work there. If rates were cheaper for monthly rates I would be staying there instead of driving my motorhome up there to live in for the next months for the project I'm building in Montrose.
Soumaila
We had an excellent stay. The breakfast was great with lots of hot food options. Jamie Lynn was just amazing and made sure we had the food we liked. Ryan in the front desk was so friendly and helpful with the weather. We will stay here again.
Dave
The young lady at the front desk was amazing. Polite, professional, and very personable.
Ed
All good

The hotel remodel looks great (though I don’t know how it was before) this was my first time at this location. I had read several reviews of how good the breakfast was. So I was eager to see. Well let me tell you it totally set a new standard of excellence and experience for a hotel breakfast. I’m so or I did not get the persons name on the staff but their communication and commitment to the food preparation and delivery was excellent. Area was clean and fully stocked
Lois
The pillows ar labeled \"firm or soft\". I chose a \"soft\" pillow and had an excellent nights sleep. The new coffee makers in the lobby are a special treat.

I have an amusing story to tell you folks about my stay. It turns to be simpler than you would think to accidentally lock yourself out of the room.
I tried opening the L-shaped security flange with the door already open while I stepped out to get some ice. With the old, longer, wishbone-type security lock, doing this will block the door from closing all the way. But such is not the case w the new security bracket that was on the door of Room 109. (I should have known better as soon as I saw it!) Instead of keeping the door from closing, the door went all the way shut and ended up bumping that flange with just enough of the flange sticking out that it caught on the door and fully extended when we tried once again to open the door.
Ryan from the front desk tried a number of different ways to open it, but had no luck. (This was at around 9-10pm, if I remember correctly.). So Ryan called Wayne, the maintenance engineer, who had already gone to sleep. He had to get dressed and drive to the hotel. He wisely brought a short length of wire, and managed to bend it in several places so that in very little time, it worked to push the security flange fully out of the way, and then we were able to open the door once again.
As you might imagine, this became an oft-repeated story and a source of much amusement with my family and friends during the week of my stay!
I’d like to thank Ryan and especially Wayne for tending to this minor catastrophe and getting me back into my room!

Welcoming staff, newly updated room exceeded expectations. The coffee was top notch!
Penny
No room service. The beds were not made and fresh towels were not provided. We were not told that we needed to request these two things by the person at the front desk. Disappointed; we were in town to visit a dying relative.
Richard
Breakfasts was great
Shanna
First off the gentleman that checked us in was the nicest guy and needs a raise for great customer service. I wish I remembered his name! The newly remodeled rooms were spotless and comfortable! It was nice to see people enjoying the amenities and common areas just to hang out. I would stay there again without a doubt.
Rachel
We were woken up at 5:45 am by the trash pick up. Very loud banging, talking, and it went on and on and on for like 15 minutes. It was awful!
Bezawada
Excellent

Room was great and staff was amazing.

Easy and quiet
Ryon
The room was much cleaner than my own house. I would like the AC to go a little lower as I am more comfortable and sleep better in colder temperatures, but I understand why it can't go to 60. The staff was all very friendly and competent. Ann checked me in and she was great. Ryan H. checked me out and was also very competent. I was a little disappointed at there being no scrambled eggs or real sausage patties (turkey sausage isn't my jam) at the breakfast, but the gravy did the job. Overall, a lovely stay except that my cowboys suck and lost horribly.
Danielle
Great one night stay traveling through
Peter
All was very good; though Breakfast was sub-par. Nothing prepared fresh (eggs, sausage) had any flavor whatsoever. Staff was friendly.
Gilbert
