Check in was so easy.
Property was clean and quiet. There was a creek by the property and was nice to sit by.
Plenty of shade.
If we needed anything they accommodated us.
Kitchen was furnished with all we needed.
Would recommend getting a few mixing bowls.
#4 upper bed is not really good for adults but we all slept well.
Would definitely recommend staying and we WILL be returning.

The tiny house was clean. The kitchen was stocked with all utensils and cookware needed for meal prep. And, it is pet friendly.
The checkin process was no contact, only a message with instructions which was very clear and easy to follow. There is a laundry facility available.
It is in a great location to explore Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

If I could give them a 0 out of 5 stars I would. I left my phone charger in the tiny house. I contacted them immediately they said it wasn’t there. Clearly they stole it.

Upon arrival, there were no linens on the beds.

They have very basic amenities. Their website makes them out to be a resort when it is completely subpar.

Don’t stay here unless you want your stuff stolen!!!

Loved my stay here. I stayed in one of the tiny homes. It had everything I needed. Full kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and relaxing after a long travel day. They checked me in prior to arrival and everything was ready. The communicated everything I needed to know.

Great place to stay! I stayed in the Creekside Cabin....it was very clean and comfortable, private and quiet. The creek running alongside it sounded so good during the night. The amenities are clean and well-appointed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great stay in Tiny Home. The location was excellent, close to the national park, restaurants, and right along the creek, which made for a peaceful setting. The home was very clean, well equipped, and everyone we met was friendly. Only drawback was the sleeping area got very hot, so a fan or second AC would help. There were some invasive bugs in the area, but staff communicated it well. Overall, we’d come back.

Adorable little tiny home complete with a kitchen, shower, bathroom, and air conditioner. One of my only complaints is that both beds are rock hard and caused me to get very little sleep. Another thing was that I arrived late and my full name was on the envelope with my tiny home door code inside. As a solo traveling woman this made me nervous that someone with ill intentions could have gotten my door code. I’d suggest first initial and last name on the envelopes :)

The yurt was fun to stay in, but it was quite warm. The bed was very firm, and hot. Area around yurt was quite dry and dusty, but I enjoyed the experience anyways. Wish I had a sink or a faucet at least, but had to walk to bathhouse every time.

Clean little tiny home right on the creek. Megan was a fantastic host. We had a couple little problems upon initial checkin but she addressed them promptly with a smile. We stayed one week without any other problems. They even offered for us to extend our stay one day, we loved it so much we re-arranged our travel plans and accepted the extension. We will definitely be back to the Wheel Haus soon!

We stayed in yurt 1. We arrived late and left early. We wished we could have stayed longer but had a tight schedule. The yurt had great ambience. Not till first light did we realize it had a skylight! The bathroom was a short walk away. We had secure codes for both the yurt and bathroom. Great way to manage the rental. The only detractor was the vehicles that began arriving early in the morning just beyond the property’s fence.

I love the fact that the creek ran behind the back of the tiny home. I love the layout, but if you were a very tall person, the upstairs loft will be difficult to navigate. I was disappointed that there were not enough towels , no blow dryer , no filter or coffee for the coffee pot. They had there they had one filter and one coffee pot in a tin can and we stayed for three mornings. I recommend they take one of the empty cabinets in the kitchen and fill it with things for the bathroom. This was a third place that we had stayed on our trip to Colorado. It could be very nice if somebody would add amenities inside the tiny home like cotton balls, Q-tips sugar creamer, so many different things that other people supply for you. I did love the location, communication could’ve been better but one positive thing they have that others do not is a laundry, but they need to email me the code to let me know to get my things out once they’ve been started. The door was open so I just started a load and then when I came back, it was locked so I immediately text never to hear back from them. A family told me that was going up there. This honestly could be a 10 out of 10 place but needs some revisions made.

Suggestions-give directions on how to use electronic door lock & specifically how to lock it, ensure toilet paper is stocked and a lamp in the bedroom would be helpful. The property shows better online than in actuality. The overall property doesn't seem very well taken care of. RV sites are overgrown and the cabin was dark and musty smelling. The area itself didnt feel as safe as we would gave liked. We had to leave early for personal reasons and didn't expect a full refund by any means buy maybe something would have been nice. I hope they use the money to clean up the property. Very disappointing.

The Pros: It was super clean, the floor was painted plywood so only as clean as it can get. The place was inviting, had every amenity you could need in a yurt. Megan even supplied me with extra heaters which I was grateful for. Having the creek and open space was just wonderful, it's a very pretty setting.

The cons: I was cold even in the bed even with 3 heaters going and 2 blankets and wearing my hoodie. Having some throw rugs or even some basic office carpet tiles would be nice. There were a lot of bugs inside, even some fly tape could have helped, as they were landing all over me, going up my nose and in my ears. The park is also close to two busy streets, so I was awakened at the crack of dawn which kind of stunk.

Would I recommend the place? Absolutely yes, but next time I would probably stay in a tiny home or cabin where I could block out the street noise more and hopefully have less bugs. (I know it's a yurt, but I literally couldn't stay in there during the warm afternoon hours)

I felt disappointed when we pulled up. Goggle maps took us down an alleyway. Looked rundown from the street.
They had the right idea with the tiny home but climbing up and down a metal ladder to get into bed was not ideal. The wood floor was probably nice at one time but nailed down where coming loose.
Sound of the little river next to the cabin was good to sleep to so not al bad.

We rented a yurt and it was great. The tiny homes on the property looked amazing. The bathhouse was clean and spacious. Would have liked a firepit outside the yurt but used a firepit next to the yurt which wasn't being used (a tent site). Comfortable bed.

A very nice little tiny home, clean, quiet and had all the amenities that you’d need and had a pullout bed from the couch, location great, price was great, I would definitely stay there again. My only minor issues was bed was firmer than I’d like but that wouldn’t stop me from going there again. Reserve the wheel haus, it was a fun place!

Bug Infestation- Do not stay here!

My family stayed in the Black Canyon Cabin. Office was closed when we arrived. As the evening progressed, we discovered a bug infestation. Flying bugs. Beds, pillows, walls, floors, windows; in every room. I swept the entire cabin floors, finding hundreds of dead & living bugs. We purchase essential oils, essential oil plug ins, & citronella candles to attempt to fend them off. I wiped the walls/windows with disinfectant. They kept coming in abundance. This was after a day of traveling. No one got much sleep. We woke to bugs on the beds/pillows/floors/ walls. We were out before the office opened, due to my daughter's swim meet schedule. That evening, there were more bugs, but less than the first night. We discovered many were entering through the windows, so we taped what we could. There was remnants of previous tape that had been removed. More cleaning that evening. The bugs seemed to slow with the taping, but were still getting in. We made sure to not open any windows or leave the door open. The front door does not close completely- seemed a security concern- not sure if the bugs were entering. The \"enclosed\" porch had numerous rips and tears, many large openings. See pics for details, all taken after the clean ups. Aside from the bugs, we cleaned up hair on the linens, in the fridge, & throughout the cabin. Linens had blood stains. The day we left, the manager asked \"how were the bugs\"? She stated she did not think they should be renting it and was aware.

The property itself is nice considering the urban backdrop. The listing, however, is inaccurate and no one is willing to assume accountability: Tiny house 7 has only one bed, no coffee maker, and the tea kettle provided of useless as there is no stove. The sheets were uncomfortably stained. Also the advertised office hours listed are not correct so communication was done solely through text. The worst part was that after communicating these inaccuracies, we were offered a 20% refund. If the price reflected the quality of the location I wouldn't mind so much.

The interior of the cabin was clean, however, the exterior screened-in porch was visibly damaged. From the photos online, we thought the location was more secluded but it was located near an industrial park and backed up to the main road/property entrance. There was some visible water damage inside the accommodation and the lock on the door seemed precarious since the door frame was thin and cracked. The HVAC was also really loud and the hot water only lasted about 15 min. Check in was easy because the clerk obviously wanted to leave early (we arrived just after 3pm). No checkout instructions were provided.

The location was nice and next to eiver which was lovely. Rhere is a community bathroom which was tougher to get into at high usuage times because it also has a shower. It was a very clean unit, but I drove for several hours and the upper bunk was a little stiff for my lower back. But overall it was nice. The unit has a fridge, freezer, heater and microwave.

The bed was comfortable and they had extra sheets and blankets in the closets. No complaints at all. Even my dog enjoyed this place. If we're ever back in Montrose, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I booked and paid for a reservation for a two night stay approximately two months prior to our arrival for Tiny House #1 by the creek. This was to be our last stay on a nine day vacation. I received a text the day we arrived letting me know the code to the tiny house #4 (not on the creek and much smaller). We did go in to see what it looked like. Night and Day from what I reserved. After texting, a few phone calls, and then having one of their employees contact the manager, he called me and apologized. He said another employee moved us without checking with him first. They did offer a free stay and had us look at another tiny house, but they didn't compare to the one we originally reserved so we declined and found other lodging nearby. They refunded our money. Just be aware that it could happen to you.
