We had a very comfortable stay at the REI hotel. The location was excellent - very close to the Peace Park, restaurants and shopping. The room was very spacious (compared to more compact Japanese rooms in Tokyo). We had plenty of room for our suitcases. There was a small table & chairs to use, plus 2 small foot stools that were handy. The bathroom was large, with a good amount of counter surface to put items on. And the shower was excellent.

We liked the amenities but there was a terribly strong cigarette smell in the hallways and in our room. Such a shame as our room was spacious and the Queen sized bed was very comfy.

I enjoyed my stay and I've extended my stay due to my apartment not being ready yet but it's so worth it. The breakfast was delicious and the setup looked exactly as advertised! The room was comfortable, and the location is great for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. The staff are very nice and welcoming also! I recommend it!

Really enjoyed the lounge with free drinks and spent the late evening playing cards as a family there.
It was centrally located during the flower festival but still quiet in the hotel. Free laundry machines with a small fee for detergent which was great mid trip.

Great Hotel in Great Location in Hiroshima

Great hotel in a great location central to Hiroshima! Staff were extremely friendly and check in was smooth. Hotel is very eco-friendly offering amenities as you need them in order to reduce waste in rooms. Hotel had great laundry services, a nice lounge for breakfast, and rooms were clean and comfortable for two people. Walking distance from the Peace Park and attractions around that area. Shopping street also within walking distance. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Huge rooms that are amazing for the price. I mean there were multiple showers in our room. Its cheap. The staff were friendly. The buffet is fine. There's a ton of bars and restaurants accross the street. Not too far of a walk to peace gardens and subway lines.

The hotel was very good. The staff were friendly, but their English wasn't great. The room was good. Everything worked, unfortunately that included the alarm at 6am set by the previous occupant. They really should reset these alarms when preparing the room. The breakfast was excellent. Large selection, including many types of bread, all of which were lovely. The location was very good, the bus stop for the city loop bus (included in the rail pass) was close by. 10 min walk one direct brought you to many restaurants etc, 15 walk the other way brought you to the Atomic peace park.

Comfortable hotel in central location

Good central location, 25 minute walk from the train station, right by shops and restaurants. Close to the peace park and a bomb dome. Can explore everywhere on foot. Room was always cleaned exceptionally well. Useful to have the fridge in the room. From 3pm till midnight you can get free coffee and tea from the lounge and you also have a kettle and cups in your room. Bed was comfortable and had a sheet on it if it's too warm for the duvet if like us you don't like to sleep with the air con on. 7-11, Lawson's and family mart all within 2 minutes of the hotel for your basics.

No air conditioning in room, had to ask for it and they supplied a stand alone fan, which helped to have some sleep. Even had to ask for a pillow, since there was only one pillow. Also had one large towel, so had to ask for \"extra\" towels. Worst was the morning breakfast, which they charged Y1000, which was NOT good. Mostly canned fruits, some low quality baked goods etc.

A convenient and reasonable Hotel!

I went there for workshops at the old campus of Hiroshima University
It's within walking distance, this hotel was very convenient for me.
Furtheremore, due to the Japan Series, almost all hotels were etraordinarily expensive. I was lucky to reserve this hotel at reasonable price.

Very happy with this hotel in central Hiroshima. Comfortable and spotlessly clean and modern room. 9th floor single room with queen bed and full size walk in shower. Compares much better than most Japanese hotels I have stayed in. Great staff on the desk. Breaktast was ok but not super. Take out coffee is a bonus. On the main \"peace boulevard\" and near to lots of eating and drinking choices but somewhat of a distance from the bus terminal on foot.

A good hotel at a reasonable price

The hotel provided an easy check-in service. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was a standard size but suited our needs for a three day stay. The room was clean and serviced daily to a high standard. Breakfast was limited in range but fresh and ample. The hotel is close to transport, which made visiting all of the tourist sites easy to get to, including getting the train and ferry to Miyajima. In the streets behind the hotel, there are lots of restaurants to choose from, and convenience stores are handy, too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short break in Hiroshima.

The location was in central Hiroshima and staff was good. I stayed at this hotel last month, in my room there was a massage chair. But when staying this time, massage chair was not in the room, even the same type of room. I hope all room has a massage chair.

Hiroshima Tokyu REI Hotel Stay

The Hotel is about 1 mile from Shinkansen station. We decided to adventure and walk it. Would recommend cell map if you have. The hotel is located on corner of main street and walking distances to most sites of Hiroshima for tourist. The room was very comfortable for amount of stay and had easy environment setting controls. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and staff provided extra towels when we didn't have the room made up. The breakfast buffet was very good. Many selection of food items to choose and plenty of room and tables. Very comfortable stay and would highly recommend to others.

Close to shoppin, and hiroshima memorials. Stay freely and efficient,room adequate for Japanese hotel rooms, but for me I need 2 things besides clean. First air conditioning /heating has to work. Although it was cool outside , there is very little airflow with fans that barely circulate air. I admit to liking a civil room and my wife likes warm rooms, but even she thought it was way to stuffy and warm in the room. I was unable to sleep till 5 in the morning due to being so uncomfortable. Second, I like a decent mattress.. we traveled Japan for 15 days and used 5 hotels and this by far was the most uncomfortable.(by the way budge hotel chain APA all had nice beds). The sole purpose for a hotel is to provide a good nights sleep so the guest can wake up refreshed and ready to accomplish their goal. Again staff was nice and efficient and rooms we clean, but not for me. One other thing the other hotels had one English Channel ( NHK international) this one did not.not a game breaker but it is a big tourist town where they do have a lot of English translations on businesses!

We stayed at Hiroshima Tokyu REI Hotel for 5 nights. We were not able to check in even though we arrived only 30 minutes before the listed time which was a little strange but we got over it pretty quickly.

The room size is reasonable by Japanese standards, plenty of room in the twin rooms for two people and two large suitcases. Laundry facilities are available free of charge which was also handy for getting some washing done.

Located within walking distance of major attractions such as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, shopping strips, restaurants and local transport.

Would consider staying in the hotel again based on price, room and location.

Had a great time visiting Hiroshima for Hanami. The hotel is within a 10 min walking to the Peace Park and also very close to Okonomi-mura for food and shopping. The main street rail line is also not too far away. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. Would recommend to anyone!

It was an old hotel and they are trying to renew it. It's in a great location, walking distance to mayor touristic places, and the Main Street with plenty of shops and places to eat. The staff don't speak English at all. We could find hair all around the room. I would look for a hotel around there but definitely not that one.

Modern and convenient hotel

Tokyu REI was fantastic! The room was clean, very modern and comfortable. The shower was one of the best showers I have ever had. The location is perfect, it is on a main road with many restaurants etc and it is about a five minute walk down that road to Hiroshima's main shopping and dining area. The staff were all very friendly. I was incredibly surprised at how modern and clean the hotel was given its relative low price. Highly recommended!

Very spacious twin room with more than enough room for 2 - was pleased to see this after a squishy stay in Tokyo! Room was tidy and neat with modern fixtures and amenities. Hotel locates right on the Peace Promenade, about 20 minutes walk to the A-bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park. Around the corner from the main shopping district of Hiroshima with plenty of shops and also eateries. Try Okonomimura a few streets down!

Shower and room were a little small and the hotel itself is about a 25 minute walk from Hiroshima Station, but overall I had a pleasant stay and the price was pretty reasonable. Slept just fine. About a 7 minute walk from the peace museum, and a 10 or 15 minute walk from Hiroshima Castle. Breakfast was modestly priced but had less options then I've seen at other Japanese hotels. I don't recall seeing meat of any kind offered either. I don't think they have Engligh services available but I'm not sure since I spoke (imperfect) Japanese the whole time.

Very nicely presented hotel.

We went here in winter and found the hotel was a bit far from transport. There was a bus station but not speaking Japanese we would have preferred a street car or train. Despite its distance from transport and the 15 minute walk to the peace memorial Park the hotel is lovely, we even opted for the 1000 yen breakfast which had a great assortment of scrumptious pastries!

Great location, simple but fine hotel, with polite & professional service

A one-night stay while visiting the Hiroshima Memorial. The hotel is small, quiet, clean and the service was professional and gracious. Th room was small but very adequate for our purposes, with everything we needed--including two wonderful nightshirts for sleepwear--and all in excellent location. It is a short streetcar ride from the main train station, followed by a five minute walk. The hotel also sits on a pleasant boulevard, perhaps a ten minute walk from the memorial, and two blocks in front of Hiroshima's surprisingly large and flourishing shopping and entertainment district, which extends for several blocks in each direction. Easily and happily recommended!

Checked in early evening, dumped bags and headed out. Arrived back early hours of the morning and slept until check out at 11:00. Headed out for a day site seeing and received a call on my international cell telling me I had left my iPad in the room and it was at the front desk for collection!

Better than expected for a business hotel

The good points: feels very new, comfy beds, nice location on Peace Boulevard. Less good points: we booked a non-smoking room but it had obviously been a smoking room at some point in the near past. Unfortunately it was golden week and through my broken Japanese and the hotel staff’s broken English it turned out that they were fully booked in that type of room. In the end I upgraded for an extra ~£40 a night to a much better room which actually I didn’t regret in the end, but it was annoying at the time.

Two days visit to Hiroshima during Japan tour

Tokyu Bizfort Hiroshima is a nice place to stay if you look forward to visiting Hiroshima. It´s a short walking distance from the main sights (Peace Memorial Museum and the Dome), and also restaurants and main shopping streets are quite close. The best way to get to the hotel from the train station is by taxi (if you carry bags) and by tram, if you don´t mind walking a short distance from the stop to the hotel. The hotel breakfast was quite a disappointment, so we decided to have it elsewhere.

Excellent choice in Hiroshima

I wasn't sure what to expect with this hotel, considering the low price, but it was awesome! I liked its hip, modern, business style. Lots of extra amenities like free washers & dryers, free drink bar (coffee, tea) in the evening, massaging shower head. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The bathroom seemed huge compared to other places we stayed at, but we were put in a handicapped accessible room so not sure if all rooms are like that. The breakfast was billed as \"western cafe style\" and included breads, yogurt, salad, and a changing hot dish (chicken nuggets & potatoes one day, pasta the next), plus the most awesome self-serve cappucino/latte machine I've ever seen. The breakfast room/guest lounge featured a soundtrack of 90's pop hits, which I enjoyed rocking out to, and the older Japanese clientele didn't seem to mind Tupac's explicit language so early in the morning. Excellent location right in the downtown shopping area - walk in one direction to the train station, walk in the other to the peace museum. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Good location, helpful staff

The hotel was in an excellent location, walking distance to all the major sites in Hiroshima and the streetcar to Miyajima. The staff were helpful and gave us maps and directions. The breakfast was included in our room price and was a selection of pastries, tea, coffee, boiled eggs and soups. The bathroom was quite big by Japanese standards and the room, while small was all we needed. My only complaint was that I found the mattress too firm for my comfort but I have found this at every hotel I have stayed at in Japan. Overall it was a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hiroshima.

Central location

Good central location for peace park and shops. Double room too small for two people. Bed not full double. Nowhere to put suitcases. Breakfast poor value for money. Staff told us time, place and cost but not that a ticket had to be purchased from front desk in advance which was irritating. Lifts very slow to arrive, only work with room key for every floor change and doors shut fast and hard if you are not very quick to get in or out. Free laundry room good.

Lovely few days in hiroshima

This hotel exceeded expectations. Great value: good location, clean, small room but sufficient. Staff were helpful. Walking distance to everything.

Hotel Tokyu Bizfort Hiroshima

my wife and I, and my 24yr old son and 21 yr old daughter each had a room. the rooms were nicely done, simple, clean and effective. nothing fancy but tidy and clean. we could make coffee in the room, we had a continental breakfast included and Wi-Fi. for the $100/ night, it was a fantastic deal. the breakfast had a good enough selection, including juice and coffee (and the good machine for latte's as well#. with free Wi-Fi hard to get, this was nice.
the location was the center of town. we could walk to the Peace Memorial #not a short walk, but that's ok as we like to walk). lots of restaurants around and choice. a cab to the JR train station was about 10 cdn. again, even though the hotel was on a busy intersection, we did not hear outside noise. if you are ok not having a fancy lobby or restaurant, then the place is a great bargain.
