Stately, comfortable, ideally located

We are not to the manor born but we could stay there for a couple nights. It was lovely! Our room and ensuite bathroom were both spacious and comfy. The cooked breakfast plus fruit, yogurt, toast and cereal got us off to a strong start. The car park at Burcombe Manor was nice but we drove in to Wilton and took the bus to Salisbury, which turned out very easy--much better than driving. Burcombe Manor is ideally located for visiting Wilton House, Salisbury, Old Sarum, Stonehenge and Bath. Quiet and relaxing, we had a wonderful visit!

A wonderful Manor House with views and trees, birds and big Wiltshire skies.
Perfect room with an enormous comfortable sleigh bed, sofa and spotless bathroom. Wendy is a perfect host and was so caring of us. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully laid out on a large dining table. I so recomment this wonderful bed and breakfast and will definitely return some day.

Beautiful rural location

The manor is located in a small village, only a few minutes away from Salisbury. There is a lovely pub only 5 mins walk away. Wendy, the owner, was really friendly.
The downside is that, being an old property, our room was draughty and really cold. Wendy gave us a couple of extra radiators, and it took a while to get the room warm.

A little gem 💎

What can I say, starting with a warm greeting that continued until my departure. This was just a one night business trip and it felt like I had been there for days.
The service was excellent, the room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was amazing. I can’t recommend this place enough. They also suggested a few places to eat and I picked the local pub, The Ship Inn, and that was absolutely amazing plus it was only a 5 minute walk from the manor.
I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area or even when I’m not that close as it’s worth mailing the trip for.

Quiet location and super-friendly host

Very welcoming host and this is a very quiet location but only just off the main road. Ideal for Wilton/Salisbury. Large comfortable room with ensuite bathroom (sunken bath) - we stayed in the pink room which is no longer pink! Good cooked breakfast and usual cereals, fruit, etc also on offer. Lovely walk around the property going high up onto the ridge. Local pub for good food just re-opened. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived, Wendy was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. The grounds surrounding the Manor were outstanding. The room we stayed in was very traditional and had nice little touches for the for the guests. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have ever eaten at a hotel. My husband and I would love to come back.

Most excellent!!

Our stay at the Burcombe Manor was most excellent! The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful in helping us secure a booking for dinner and it was a delight to talk to them about their experiences as hosts for a B&B. Breakfast was fantastic and kept us going well past lunchtime. I would definitely recommend the Burcombe Manor to anyone staying in the area.

Was very peaceful and quiet. I went to Stonehenge and the manor wasn't that far away. The lady of the house prepares an excellent English breakfast. The bed was not that comfortable and could use a bit of cleaning, but all in all was very comfortable. There is a village a couple miles away with good restaurants.

We were beautifully looked after, the room had a very pretty view over the gardens, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room and bathroom very clean. Quiet friendly stay

Quiet location with old country charm. Very short walk to the village pub best visited at lunch to take advantage of its stream side location. Did encounter problems finding the place. Initially used the link straight from the booking confirmation and this led us to the middle of a country lane with nothing but hedges on either side. Second attempt putting the postcode in directly brought us to just before the turning to the Ship Inn on the A road. I am guessing the postcode covers quite an area, best examine carefully the small map of the village and direct yourself in.

Amazing.

Felt like staying at a friend’s country estate

Stayed 2 nights at Burcombe Manor and would have loved to stay longer. Wendy’s hospitality was outstanding, the room was quiet and comfortable, and the breakfasts were a treat. The nearby Ship Inn was just a few minutes walk away, and the food was great.
It was also a great base for Stonehenge, being around 30minutes drive to get there.

Beautiful location - stunning views

A one night stay. The owners are lovely, very welcoming & nothing too much trouble. Had a room facing the front with stunning views. Rooms are tastefully decorated, light, airy and so so peaceful.

Great choice at breakfast which is served in a dining room with one big table to seat all. Food is piping hot and very tasty.

Would definitely recommend will certainly revisit.

Quite unfriendly and unhelpful reception on arrival. Told in no uncertain terms that breakfast after 9am on a Sunday was a definite no. Burcombe Manor and it’s rooms whilst having character are very worn and tired. The house has a musty smell. The bathroom was quite unclean, with a choice of used pre-opened soaps available. The residents lounge was closed. Ok cooked breakfast, friendly smile from host in the morning. We were glad to leave after one night.

A haven of peace with a warm welcome

A pleasant stay in a stunning location, complete with a warm, friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast. Convenient for Salisbury and Amesbury, away from the hustle and bustle of those towns, with a good pub nearby. Will certainly be staying there again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous quite location in idyllic setting.

Takes you back in time. The much loved home is in excellent condition. The hosts were very accommodating and made you feel completely at home. Everything was just lovely and I enjoyed every minute of my stay there.

Good choice near Salisbury

Lovely old house in large garden. Very quiet location close to Salisbury Wilton etc. Guest lounge could do with a little TLC otherwise good throughout and very good value for money. Owners very friendly and welcoming.

Very beautiful BNB

This BNB is a short drive from Salisbury with close access to a pub for food. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the owners are delightful to talk to.

Beautiful building wonderful grounds. Initally major hotels in area booked so booked this one. Food excellent comfort great. Thoroughly recomend it. Will certainly go back.
They don't do evening meals but local pub is very close and has great food.
