A lovely hotel located about 15 minutes from Stonehenge and 15 minutes from Salisbury town centre. The room was spacious, and the heater worked perfectly—nice and warm. Everything was clean and well maintained. Nora at reception was lively, helpful, and incredibly bubbly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I’m in the area.

Only stayed one night, and they accommodated a very late check-in of 2:30am due to a delayed flight. When we woke up we were able to appreciate the gorgeous scenery. Rooms were clean and they provide coffee, tea and creamer in the room.

It was ok and clean and comfortable, I was hoping that there would be food available or room service but not during the day, plenty of parking and was quiet, I would recommend for a short stay as convenient for Salisbury and surrounding area. the room was a good size.

We had a 3 night stay at The Stones Hotel Salisbury. The Receptionist Angelina (I think) weekend 13 - 15 July - was excellent
She had a sincere smile. She was professional and very helpful. It was extremely hot and she arranged for a fan to be provided. A very pleasany lady. The Executive Double room is roomy with a fabulous large bed with very comfortable quality cotton bedding. The bathroom is a nice size with a large walk in shower cubicle. The overhead rain shower is powerful and large with an alternative hand shower all very simple to use. We were visiting friends who insisted we eat with them so we cannot comment on the restaurant or the food but the menu is extensive. All in all a very nice place to stay and we will return in the future.

Could of done with a hoovering as after my shower my feet picked up alot of dirt from the carpet. Alot of noise from outside in the morning and some drunken fool making alot of ruckus late at night with his shouting

Staff was nice enough. Dinner in the restaurant was meh for the pricing. Ordered a steak and kidney pie. What we got was a mushy gravy in the crust. Didn’t eat any but they wanted to charge us for it anyway. Otherwise it’s a clean hotel.

I've stayed here many times over the years, nothing much has changed since my last visit, the rooms, food and most of the staff are good, however on this occasion I had an issue with my door access lock, one evening I couldn't gain access to my room, unfortunately the person in charge didn't handle the situation well, she clearly doesn't have any hospitality experience or customer facing skills, she eventually got the manager in from home and they did manage to open the door before a locksmith was going to be called, I didn't get any apology for having to wait an hour when I needed to get to bed.
As I've mentioned before, this place could be very good if the right management were in charge.

I do wonder why when most people share a room they only put one chair in them ?
Also a few polite notices in the hall ways to remind other guests to be quiet when walking past the rooms ?

Nice clean, comfortable room. The sound of doors being opened/closed outside in the corridor seems extra loud for some reason. Maybe it’s just where my room was situated but yeah. Found it hard to sleep with all the clicking and closing of doors.

The hotel is pleasant and is in a great location. The rooms were basic but clean. On arrival the member of staff on reception didn’t have a lot of knowledge when being asked questions. I asked for a quiet room as I was in a business trip. But next door was noisy at night and being lound. I tried to reach the reception from midnight to 1am in the morning. No one was there. Basically you can do whatever you want at night and no one can help.

The hotel is really nice, but the people working there are AMAZING. The two girls at the reception were so lovely and helpful (I think one was called Kelsey, sorry! I’m terrible with names). Check in and check out on point and when we asked for some towels we got them in minutes.

This place reeks of \"owned by foreign conglomerate which only vaguely understands how a hotel should operate and has little to no direct oversight of day to day management.\" I've never regretted a hotel choice so quickly in 15 years. They advertise themselves as some kind of country hotel with a bar and restaurant, but both were completely dead at 1700. The one receptionist was also the bartender. 6 quid for a pint, which felt really overpriced given the rest of my experience. No outdoor area to drink and smoke, so the receptionist said I could use the large patio out back... which was unlit and only accessible through a maze of corridors with automatic lighting and then a fire exit.
After all that I just skipped everything else and went to my room to watch the large smart TV in bed. The next morning, reality set in. I saw the showerhead was extremely corroded. When I turned the pressure on, the 12\" diameter showerhead FELL OFF, missing my head by inches. So I tried to make a coffee to wind down from that only to see the kettle was extremely corroded with residue in the bottom that looked months old. Complained to front desk and got swapped to another room across the hall, but they coded the key card wrong. So I had to trek the 100 yards back to the desk with all my gear to get that fixed. In the new room the kettle was also filthy. And it didn't have a smart TV. They did refund my first night, but I am just so genuinely perplexed and annoyed by the entire affair.

Room facilities were good although lighting could be improved, ie bedside lights are not good for reading in bed. Bed themselves are very comfortable. I really like the bathroom facilities and lovely big towels.

We booked an executive double. The room we got was completely substandard. The overhead shower was broken, the window was cracked, the window didn't shut properly, the blind was broken, the floor strip between the bedroom and bathroom was loose with screws sticking up, the hand soap pump didn't work, there was no loo roll holder. On top of this, because the blind was broken, we didn't see that the window was open when we arrived, with a flat roof outside connecting multiple other rooms. This is a huge security risk, especially when the window is broken. Additionally, the room was by the kitchen and it was super noisy; sounded like a generator turning on and off every few minutes. In the morning, when we went to discuss with reception, they confirmed we weren't even in an executive room. While I am grateful we were moved to a better room for out second night, we shouldn't have been in a basic room to begin with and the room was totally unsuited to having people stay in it anyway. I will not be reusing.

There was a wedding during the day but they didn’t tell us that the restaurant wasn’t open for food in the evening. Either email or twice on reception when checking in and asking question about other information. The light on mirror wouldn’t switch off ,which shown into the room. Very noisy in the room as next to main road, better windows would have helped. Disappointed for the price

I stayed at your hotel from Friday 13th September to Sunday 15th September and didn’t enjoy my stay.
Firstly, I payed £200 for a twin room. There was mugs, coffee and tea yet no kettle to boil water. I had to ask at reception for a kettle and when it was delivered to my room I was told that I hadn’t paid for the room, I then showed the lady my bank statement and confirmed I had paid on my Friday arrival. She had told me that she would go check but if there was an issue with payment, why wasn’t it outlined when I arrived and paid because it had been withdrawn from my bank account.
As well as this, I went to have a shower on the Saturday morning before I had to go out for the day and with shampoo and shower gel already applied, the shower cut off. I had to wipe off the shampoo and shower gel with a towel and then the shower didn’t work for another 30 minutes as well as the tap in the bathroom.
In addition, I was asleep in my room on the Saturday night and was woken up at 01:00AM on the Sunday by two women entering the room, they had been given a key to the room but they had quickly turned around as soon as they realised somebody was occupying the room, this made me feel very uncomfortable with the safety of the hotel and when I called reception about this, I was told that it had been sorted, which didn’t put my mind at ease.

I stay here several times a year as the location is perfect for my place of work, and I make use of the small but adequate gym, the hotel is making progress since its takeover, the menu has changed and there is a nice selection and choice, I do sometimes still encounter a mix up with my bill or room type, but these are always rectified by the helpful staff.
I do hope the hotel continues to improve as its generally a pleasant place to stay.

It was second stay at the hotel and whilst it wasn’t quite as good as the first visit it was very enjoyable and relaxed stay. The main issue was televisions, the first room the tv didn’t work properly, the second the tv didn’t work at all, the third room was a twin room not a double fortunately the fourth room was perfect and due to the problems we had the duty manager offered us 50%off our evening meal which we gladly accepted and it was very good.

Stay was lovely, however there was a school prom one night followed by a wedding the next. Although it was lovely to see the promers arriving, it was directly outside our ground floor room which meant having to close curtains early to avoid being on show. Wedding also meant we couldn’t use the restaurant and limited parking, again, not a huge problem, would have just been nice to know about these events before our stay. Overall lovely stay and great staff. Thank you.

No air con so if the weather is hot an option of opening the window is a choice of traffic noise or heat. Hotel was easy to find. Once inside the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Room was a bit minimal but had everything you needed. Lovely bathroom and great shower. Food was amazing - although I left too early for breakfast on both mornings, it smelt lovely! View from my window was lovely to wake up to - I was on the side overlooking the fields, not the road out the front! If I were in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

But the team working, especially when we checked in, were friendly and helpful.
The road was quite close to my room, but I couldn't really hear it, so didn't disturb me at all.
And travelling for work, often in a truck, it's not always easy to find somewhere that can accommodate this, but The Stones have a massive car park, so this was a huge plus.

Checked in fairly late, receptionist was friendly and polite. Hotel was very quiet. Room was comfortable and clean although the shower tray had someone else's hair still around it and was not very clean. Bathroom was a good size with and nicely done. Decent sized shower cubicle but the water was far too hot and took ages to get it to cool down, the shower rail was very wobbly and falling off the wall. The beds were nice and comfortable and black out curtains were good. The breakfast was average and the kitchen/waiter staff were friendly. We only stayed here to attend a family event, but would probably stay again if needed.

I’ve left several reviews for this hotel, the main issue I always find is the lack of staff at busier times, I spoke to one member who was in charge of the reception, bar and restaurant, this is fine if the hotel is very quiet but not so good when busy. Rooms are great though, fairly limited breakfast but enough for my needs.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary weekend in Salisbury. The check in was disastrous, the service in the restaurant was poor and on our anniversary night the restaurant was closed for a wedding!! As there were no other restaurants within walking distance we went to the garage nextdoor for some sandwiches. Great way to spend your anniversary!!!

I booked a room for 3 nights. I didn't like the fact the staff helped themselves into the room for cleaning without permission. Surely they should know who has booked in for a few nights and a consent should be confirmed if customers wanted their rooms cleaned when they are out of the rooms. No phones connected to reception.

I booked the hotel on behalf of my parents over the Christmas period. The staff could not have been more helpful.My folks asked to move room twice (new mattress was too firm in the first one and the shower ' didn't work' in the second). Turns out my folks were not quite understanding the way the controls on the shower worked but rather than explain (again) the manager moved them. He was keen that they were shown respect and not embarrassed by their lack of understanding, so never knew it was their fault. Well done team! And thank you!

The window glazing is not suitable enough to block the sound from the very busy road outside. The bathroom light would not turn off so was on all night.
The restaurant was ill prepared to cater for people with gluten allergies, I was told that the potato tots were gluten free but upon eating them it was apparent that they had been cooked in the same fryer as gluten containing items as I had a reaction to them which added to the uncomfortable nights sleep.

Economy at a price near Stonehenge.
Seemed like a good choice for visiting Stonehenge. However, without a car, it was a bit in the sticks. But it was an economical choice, even with the 13 pound charge from the train station. The other issue I had, and raised with the staff was, without any businesses around the hotel other than a gas station, there should have been some accommodation for purchasing sundries. Also, there was no other choice than ordering a full breakfast, as I asked to buy just tea and toast, which wasn't possible. This, added to the fact that there was no ability to make coffee or tea in our room. This was a real shortcoming by the hotel, and I told them so.

Room was clean but stifflinly hot and the windows only opened a couple of cms , it stayed hot all night. It is a cashless hotel. We ate and drank at a nearby pub as we prefer to support businesses that give customers the option of cash or card.
