Roxanne

Joseph

Charged a deposit for my dog when its pet friendly and then when I checked out Chris stated the money was put back into my card 5 days later nothing yet I call and the person that answers says the room was not left as is!!!! \"AS IS \" literally did everything but wash the damn linens the time ive stayed with Red Roof ive never have been asked for a deposit for my pet!!!
Susan
Basic hotel. Would not stay there again. Reasonable rate.
Joel
Very great very good love it
Kenneth
Good breakfast, spacious room, comfortable bed
Melissa
Nice, clean, motel. Decent warm breakfast with proteins. The staff was attentive, although sometimes hard to reach. My main concern was that there was no breakfast on Monday, although they advertise breakfast every morning and had confirmed that upon check-in. I spoke to the desk employee and they said that the cook wasn’t available that day and they had too few guests to provide breakfast. That’s not a sufficient excuse. No compensation offered.
Larry
Great hotel stay.
Alexander
Good! Place to stay for a couple of nights!
Sheri
Okay for a night stay they put us in the back and that’s where all the late night parties were. That’s all I’m going to say but bring ear plugs if you wanna sleep.
Crystal
There wasn’t anything wrong with the room, per sé- it just wasn’t what I was expecting. The location is a motel and not a hotel. That’s on me for not paying better attention to the listing.
The room was pleasant enough for an overnight stay, but I wouldn’t stay for longer than a night. The bathtub was slow to drain and the room felt a little Spartan but again- nothing outright bad.
Parking was well lit. Felt safe. The breakfast was hot and much more enticing than cold/snacks breakfast fare at some places.
Staff was very friendly and polite. I personally wouldn’t stay again, but only because I prefer a more “bells and whistles” type of atmosphere.

Room was like an oven it was so hot the ac was not on and there is just a small unit in the room which we turned on but it took HOURS to cool down. Apart from that the breakfast was ok and the rooms were clean.
Jody
We were pleasantly surprised
Debra Brenden and Baby
It was a great stay and very quiet my baby slept as well as we did terrific stay if your wanting quiet and low key.
Chris
Clean and friendly staff
Pamela
Breakfast was GREAT! Room was comfortable and very clean. Definitely recommend staying here. Great value for the cost.
Joseph
Room was ok, but not over $100 worth. Bed was not real comfortable. You could see daylight all around to door, good thing the AC worked good. Lots of road noise as well.
Justin
Room was clean, friendly staff and being pet friendly was a plus for us!
Gay
Great place we enjoyed staying there. The breakfast was OK. We will stay there again.
Sherman
Bathroom door needs to be replaced with one that will close.
I've stayed at the Hilton for less money and they included a bathroon door that would close properly. Other than that, the bed was nice, big and comfortable.

Elizabeth
Breakfast was very good, and had lots to choose from. Room was spotless and smelled good. No mistiness or mildew smell. Only thing that bothered me was the bed. It was too “squishy.” Felt like I was sinking down too much.
Christopher
I had a terrible stay, didn’t clean my room after requested 3 times . Staff was not friendly at all .
Jessica
Breakfast was not great, the omelets were hard and chewy, the sausage was spoiled, the bacon was paper thin and barely cooked. The bed squeaked terribly and our towels were filthy. The vanity was broken at the bottom and nearly cut my foot open. The water pressure was atrocious. The air conditioning barely worked. The only decent thing here was the staff whom were kind and helpful.
Dillon
Nothing exciting here. There must have been a fishing tournament or something because everyplace was packed with boats. The room was totally fine and the bed was comfy but I don’t think it would be fair to rate the noise since there was so much action. It had a very large area for walking dogs. The breakfast was hot and just fine. The staff was friendly and prompt on anything we needed.
Samuel
Decent small town hotel with a clean, comfortable room. We'd stay here again.
Sheila
Very nice place
kaidon
everything was alright seemed new except the wifi wouldn't work
Patricia
Only problem was VERY low water pressure in bathroom sink, room #103 (shower water pressure was excellent), which faucet obviously had some kind of damage to the outlet attachment restricting water flow, which can be easily remedied. 2) We’ve stayed there before & wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again: very good place, comfi bed, blackout window shade for excellent sleep at a very quiet place. 3) We’ve stayed at several other Red ROOF Inns in other states & always had VERY good experiences.
Amy
I would NEVER recommend this hotel. We booked an accessible room and the first thing we noticed when pulling up to the room we were assigned was that there were NO accessible parking spots near the room given. There was a ramp from the parking lot to the room to allow curb-free access. I mention the 'room given' because we never made it far enough into the room to ensure we were given an accessible room with accessible bathroom-it could have been a standard room for all we knew. The reason we never made it far enough inside is because the moment we opened the door, we were hit with the strongest odor of Marijuana. It was so strong we thought someone was currently smoking it inside the room (there wasn't anyone in the room, but that's how strong the smell was). We turned immediately to go back to the front desk but immediately noticed the various men loitering around the rooms and reception area. We felt very unsafe and decided to abandon this reservation and find a different hotel immediately. This is a college town and families travel in to visit their students on a regular basis. This is one place I would not recommend.
Roxanne
Easy check in, clean room, nice continental breakfast. Nice quiet space, parking was limited, but we got a space in front of our room each night. Reasonable rate for room an accommidations.
John
Everything from check-in to the room to the breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and super helpful, the property/parking/room & hot breakfast exceeded our expectations.
Steven
Solid value
Jim
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Towels were thin and tub caulking needed maintenance. However, it was a comfortable stay for the price.
Cindy
Breakfast not good as equipment was not working properly (waffle makers kept blowing breaker)
Staff nice and room good enough to stay a night passing through. Great for price!

Just needed a place for an overnight. Wow! This place was disgusting! Mildew, bugs, dirty sheets and towels. We ended up leaving. This is beyond awful!

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Checking in and out was hassle-free. Convenienty placed 5-8 minutes away from SFA(Stephen F. Austin) University. Nestled in beautiful pine wood forest. Even had guest WiFi.

Had a good stay. The floor was hard surface instead of carpet. I really liked that. Good breakfast and a nice lady there keeping things clean and available.
James
Really tight with towels
It is clean
No coffee in the room?
Pretty basic , reminds you of a motel 6

We chose this Hotel because we have been at other Red Roof Inns that were good for a nights stay and a good breakfast to start back up on the road. There was no breakfast or coffee, short staff I guess, and the bathroom door would not close due to it being busted off its hinges. Traveling with a teenage daughter this is a must. However, the beds and pillows were the best along with it being quiet, so 3 stars for that. We stayed at multiple hotels along our 1,800 mile trip, this wasn't the best nor the worst.
Deborah
clean, staff was nice. Breakfast was good,
Matthew
The breakfast was good
Autumn
Very clean and that bed was very comfortable.
Lesa
It was a horrible experience.
Wendy
The floor was dirty, the staff was nice enough, but the room had a strange smell —-a mixture of cigarette smoke and cleaner. Also, the tub had black marks on it, and the toilet was broken and had cigarette burns on it.
Amy
Great hotel!
Michelle
The staff was extremely friendly. However, I was given a room that was completely opposite of what I reserved
Anthony
Expedia did not check availability. We were not able to stay due to being over booked
Naomi
Location is very noisy. Although newly renovated, the room was very lacking in even the basic amenities. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was pretty sad.
Mark

Clean room, easy to check in and out.

Suppose to be non smoking. When we walked in to room couldn’t stand being in there due to so much smoke from cigarettes
lisha
The room was fine except for they didn't check to make sure I had the right remote for the TV so I was not able to view TV that Friday and up until late Saturday and then an incident happened where someone called the front desk and said that there was a sexual assault that occurred in the room I was in from the management and that really upset me and started me so I didn't feel safe going forward
Jeffrey
Clean and new. A great value!

No issues. Shower should probably be modified so it doesn't just spill out so easily. Because other then that the bathrooms are perfect, especially with the retractable shower head. I'd gladly stay again no matter what
Kem
We stay here often. Always clean, front desk very friendly. Does need better pillows and possibly think about putting a hairdryer in the rooms.
Gregory
No idea. They cancelled our reservation and charged us the full amount and never gave us a room for the remaining days because we arrived a day late.
Shelly
The room was clean and staff were very friendly.
Anita
The floor appeared to be swept, but it was not clean. My feet and socks were very dirty after walking around in the room.
There was no shower gel in the dispenser in the shower.

Room was clean, however it was infested with drain flies and cockroaches.
Air circulation was not great. The air in the unit felt musty, despite I constantly ran the exhaust fan in the bathroom.
Breakfast was good.

The location is fine. There was a huge wasp nest with well over 30 wasps flying around our hotel room doors. There were also roaches in our room and the sink was clogged.
Angelia
It was great- comfortable bed- tv gave us problems but other than that it was an easy check in great stay
Veronica
Ac wasn't as cold as i like but overall it was a great stay!
BRUCE

Room was very clean, beds comfortable and bath are was exceptional.
Teresa
I didn't like the room not having an iron or hair dryer
Joseph
Upon checking in, the girl at the front desk was fantastic. Very friendly and got us checked in fast with no problems.
When we got to the room, one of the first things we noticed was that there was not a single clock in the whole room. Nothing to tell what time it is. I realize this is not a big deal, I just wanted to mention it because I have stayed in A LOT of hotels and this is the first one I’ve ever encountered that didn’t have a clock of some kind.
The bed was super comfortable and soft.
The thermostat was terrible. It was inaccurate and kicked on and off when it felt like it. So all night long we would wake up either freezing or hot, no in between.
Another thing I thought was strange was that there was no bar soap at all. There was a hair dryer, however not in the room, you had to go get it from the front desk. Maybe that’s a thing now, not sure.
The toilet paper was like sandpaper and the towels were the same. I felt like I was taking layers of skin off when drying off from the shower.

Very disappointed. Will not stay here again. Do not recommend. The room was infested with crickets. We put a towel in front of the door to keep them out, but that did not help. It was hard to get a good nights sleep from worrying about crickets jumping on you. They were all over the room and in the bathroom. I spent most of the night trying to get rid of them. We woke up to 10 crickets in the room. Also, the towels were very dingy. Unfortunately I can only add 8 pics but I took more of each cricket as well as a video.
Michael
A nice place to stay
The hotel is an older one, but was in good condition...and it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, and helpful. All things considered, it was a good stay!
