All of the staff members whom we interacted with were so friendly, professional, and gracious! We stayed in one of the Cabana rooms right next to the pool, and it perfectly and so easily accessible! The restaurants were fantastic, with exceptional food, and cocktails, and Service!!! This hotel is also so conveniently located to all the downtown local shops so that we could easily walk to them !
We will definitely be returning!
We will definitely be returning!

Clean, comfortable room and amenities. AC system throughout facility worked well. Wait time in restaurants was very reasonable. Wait staff was kind, considerate and very efficient. Food and drinks in the bar and both restaurants was very good and well presented. Overall experience was very good. I recommend this property for business and pleasure.
Paul
The Fredonia is our most favorite hotel. We’ve had nothing but great experiences each time we stay.
David
Safe area to park and walk
Michael
Great stay! They’ve done a great job reinvigorating this place.
Jessie
While somewhat expensive to my wife and I, everything was wonderful. Our ADA rated Cabana was immaculately clean and well maintained. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful to us. My wife has always wanted to stay at the Fredonia and I was able to make this happen for our recent 25th anniversary. Thank you to all the folks at the Fredonia!
Rosemary
Wonderful place to stay Enjoyed it immensely. Friendly staff. Very clean. Breakfast was delicious and wait staff very courteous. Sitting out by the pool and eating at night was very enjoyable. Young woman at the gift shop was nice and helpful. Will certainly visit again.
Heather
Loved staying by the second pool. The main pool was always too busy.
Laura K.
This is the only hotel in town where you can walk to the winery and restaurants. If you don’t want leave the hotel the bar and restaurant offer everything you you’d need. The town historical tour is easy to start from the hotel. On the 4 th of July the fireworks are on your doorstep. Because the hotel is a renovation from the past rooms very in size. Look at the room detentions when you book. My only negative is that rooms are cheaper on sites like Expedia. The hotel will not match the rates.
Stephen
The Fredonia is the best place to stay in Nacogdoches by far! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were robbed of all of our luggage on our way from Houston and upon our arrival, the front desk staff provided all 7 of us with new tooth brushes, toothpaste, dental floss and deodorant for free. They also gave us vouchers for a free breakfast. The rooms were nice and clean with great entertainment options. The restaurant was amazing with great food and fast service. We are so thankful to the staff at the Fredonia. They made our stay so comfortable. We highly recommend staying at The Fredonia if you ever find yourself in beautiful Nacogdoches, Texas.
CHRIS
We enjoyed staying at the Ferdonia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable but our room was a little small. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and also had several drinks and app
Ben
Hotel has an excellent vibe. I expected to see Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin around the pool. Food in the restaurant was scrumptious
Becky
Nice hotel but really pricy for one of the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in at a hotel. The front desk staff was not especially friendly or welcoming. I felt like an inconvenience the entire time we were checking in. The fitness room is great. The food and service in the restaurant were terrific. Don’t think I would stay here again.
Paul
Great stay…our favorite hotel.
Barry

Eclectic property that has been well maintained. Old vibe feel with modern amenities. Restaurant was superb. Parking can be a bit of a chore during peak times. Excellent location.
Darin
Beautiful property super well maintained with a great mid-century Palm Springs resort feel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurants and bar are attractive and food is delicious. Parking is free, convenient and easy to access. Rooms are beautiful with great bedding and pillows.
Laura
The breakfast menu was very good and the portions were generous. Dinner was great too! The location was perfect. I was able to park right beside my cabana room.

The hotel was great. The front desk staff was wonderful and helpful with my car problems and late checkout. The bed was great. The decor was quaint with the 50-60's look.
Restaurant was somewhat disappointing. Food was mediocre. Service was pathetic.

Remodeled 70s(?) hotel. Love the vibe. Nice bar and restaurant. Very clean. Room was nice with little details that show they care.

Carol
We loved our stay at the Fredonia. This was my husband‘s first time to visit the historic town of Nacogdoches as well as the Fredonia hotel and Convention Center. I have been there several times and have always been pleased. The staff does everything in their power to make your stay wonderful. Our room was perfect and cozy.
Shane
Bugs in the room rooms very small
Karen
A lovely vintage hotel built in 1955. Updated with wonderful decor, spotlessly clean, super nice staff. We had drinks by the awesome pool and ate at the City Cafe the next morning which was wonderfully tasty. Glad we finally got to stay here!
Beverly
The poolside dining was very nice! The waiter helping us was great! The food is great! Our room was very nice but small. But we love staying here!
Nancy
Clean room, good restaurant
Troy
The best place to stay in Nacogdoches!
Patricia
I stayed there because I was having cataract surgery. I stayed the night before the surgery and the night after. We ordered a lot of room service and just acted as if we were in a hospital. The staff was so very kind to answer questions and take care of all our needs. They kept asking how we were doing and how the surgery went….if they could do anything more for us.
Melodi
Staff was amazing! The hotel was beautiful, in a great location and the bar was great! The room was small, but clean, however, we were allergic to something in the room, possibly on the pillows. My face was red (tomato red) skin itchy, my husband woke up during the night with someone stuck in his eyelid, in them morning we noticed he had a little cut on his eyelid, his forehead was red also. My son woke up to a nose bleed. The shower was not well thought out, you will get wet when you turn it on. The staff working the first desk was super apologetic, when she learned of our experience. but was unable to adjust our fee for the stay since we booked through a 3rd party, she did give us 3 breakfast vouchers. The breakfast was good. Overall I liked the hotel, just wish our room had been a better experience.
Ruben
Clean room and friendly, helpful staff

We love this hotel and stay here often. Always rate 5 stars. However, this time, due to front desk staffs lack of caring, our stay wasn't great. Apparently the battery in our thermostat died during the night and we all woke up sweating and very uncomfortable. I let the girl at the front desk know and her response was simply \"Oh, I'm sorry about that\". She didn't offer to get someone up to fix it, offer anything to offset the bad experience, nothing. I went back upstairs after grabbing some coffee and my wife and kids were getting ready (we were checking out) and it was really warm in the room by now. I called the front desk and said I was just downstairs complaining about the thermostat that had died and that our room was hot and needed maintenance to come replace the battery. She said she would get him up immediately. After an hour, no one had shown up and we were leaving anyway. We expect better from a hotel of this caliber and for what we had to pay for a 1 night stay. We'll be back, just hope the customer service improves.

Everyone was very kind. My room was super cozy! That hotel has immense character. The food is great. The cocktails were even better!

I normally love the Fredonia but had a bad experience with slow to non-working WiFi (less than Ideal since I was on a business trip). The staff was somewhat helpful but offered only a breakfast voucher instead of help with the internet problem.

Fun “boutiquey” hotel right in the middle of Nacogdoches. Nice dining options and bar right in the hotel. Walkable to many other options. Bathrooms are on the smaller side (it was built in 1955) but they are indeed very nice. Would stay again when in the area.
