Great location to walk to restaurants. Nice atmosphere and comfortable overall. Traffic noise was an issue with sleeping. View was of the parking lot and a construction area. Bed/bedding was comfy. Room temperature was great and easy to adjust. Room was very spacious. Spa tub didn’t work unfortunately, which was disappointing. Staff and instructions were also bit scarce at times.

Our room was on the second floor. My husband is disabled. Came to find out the owner had not maintained the elevator for 4 years because he’s too cheap to apply for inspection it has to be fixed.
Room sleeps 3 and the bed had no blankets sheets or pillows. The very kind kitchen prepper( no staff on hand and no WiFi info) got us a blanket that had a bowling ball size hole right in the middle. The all paper was peeling on all walls and corners. Room 205. I had to make four trips up 2 flights with luggage and one with my disabled husband which took 30 minutes. It’s quite a sh— hole.
The mini frig fell out of its cubby face down onto the floor.

The jacuzzi tub didn’t work. The shower pan filled up to the point it spilled out on the floor. The bed was okay. The pillows were amazing though. The fake plant in the room was dusty over the sink. My jacket fell behind the couch and came out dusty and dirty. Looking back there it looked like it’s been there for years without any cleaning. Q-tips and a few other things. I would stay again but I’m going to make sure the tub works.

Upon arrival, no one was there to check me in. I figured it out, and went to the sister hotel, but additional signage would be good for the future. I learned that I was the only guest at the hotel, which left me feeling somewhat vulnerable. I would have liked to know that the front door would lock, it appeared open to all at all times I came/went. Room itself was fine, liked the fireplace feature, and the chair. In terms of style, I might suggest removing wallpaper and simply painting the walls/crown molding for a more modern look. It's ready for a revamp.

The hotel is amazing and like taking a step into a more lavish time. The pub is amazing and has the most friendly staff. We watched the bartender diffuse a very aggressive condescending “Karen” with nothing but grace and professionalism. The food is amazing and service top notch. We will definitely be back!!

We checked in on Thanksgiving using self check-in, which was fine, but the main entry door was broken and left unlocked with no staff around. There was no one to check us out, so we dropped our keys at the hotel next door. The room was roomy but the furniture was worn, the bed was uncomfortable, and the heater didn’t work, so it was very cold. The place needs updates and consistent staffing.

We had a fantastic stay at the Stock Farm Inn for our birthday trip! The inn itself is charming and welcoming, but what really made our experience unforgettable was Bo — the amazing multi-hat-wearing innkeeper and pub manager. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel at home, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. Her kindness, professionalism, and fun personality made our celebration truly special.

Bo goes above and beyond in every role she takes on — she’s the heart and soul of the place. She absolutely deserves a raise for the joy and dedication she brings to guests like us. 💜

Hopland visit

There is the good and the bad to say about this stay. We were not given the room we booked but we were given a nice, spacious suite similar to it. The elevator was not working so it's good that we are fit for our age (73). This would not have been good for elderly/handicapped. There are a lot of stairs to all the rooms! My husband uses a C Pap and had to move a very heavy chest of drawers to get to the plug by the bed. It was a very big, nice room with a separate area for bedroom, sitting room and dining room. There was a small fridge, a Mr Coffee maker, no microwave though. It is a quality hotel but seems like who owns it doesn't care about keeping it that way. The coffee in the room wasn't good but the girl who checked us in did give us a coupon for free coffees at the cafe next door. We went to the pizza pub, waited an hour for our pizza - it was 25 dollars for a 12 inch pizza and it wasn't exactly as described. They were out of Coors light and only had the more expensive beers. We only saw very young (20s) people working at the property. They were doing their best but no sign of anyone in charge. The jets in the jetted tub in our room did not work. I wasn't able to tell anyone that as when we checked out there was no one around. We did enjoy the room. We were even able to watch the As game onthe directv. The balcony is very nice too. We saw the nice pool area but didn't go in. This has been and could be a very nice hotel. It needs a little care.

The hotel was a beautiful building, beds was comfortable, place was clean, but furniture worn down with scuffs, etc. Staff was not really available to provide things as needed and short staffed. We came in after a long drive to find the deadbolt didn’t work on our door. My husband called the manager who was very short and rude on the phone. He got tools from the staff available and fixed it himself. If you don’t mind doing things on your own then it’s your stay. It’s a nice property but wanted to give a honest review so next guest know what they are getting into. Honestly should be a 2 star hotel.

Nothing around - no wine shops or so. Bonterra has no wine shop neither on their property

Had a two night stay booked. Temp in the area was 105 degrees. Check into room and it was 85 degrees inside. Turned on the AC and it didnt cool down the room whatsoever, the filter for the unit looked completely clogged. Even after running a whole day it wouldn’t cool the room even a degree, it just got hotter. Was staying for my birthday weekend but ended up leaving after one night because the room wouldn’t get under 80 degrees, not to mention my poor pregnant wife was super uncomfortable the whole stay. There is also a fire place in the room that stays lit and radiates heat in front of the bed 24/7 that can’t be turned off. Also couldn’t get the tv to work because it needed a special “card” inserted. The bathroom shower drain also didn’t drain properly and caused you to stand in standing water. Overall very unhappy with the stay because it cost me about $550 for only two nights..

The first impression was great. We had a nice reception and great check-in experience. It was unfortunate that the elevator didn’t work, as we had two big suitcases. The room seemed spacious and well-equipped, but soon after settling in, I found some prescription drug on the floor, and then a clipped nail. Those discoveries were unfortunate, because they created a certain level of unease on the general cleaning procedures. The bathroom was also not in the greatest condition. The sinks didn’t drain well, a light kept turning off and on, and a hook hung loosely from the wall. The place is also really noisy, as big trucks drive by all night. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful room - details need to be worked out

First of all, this room is beautiful. The furnishings, bathroom and bed were all very comfortable. It's on the second floor and the elevator was broken, so we climbed the 26 stairs with all our luggage. It's right on the road, so we heard 18 wheelers and loud cars going by all night long. The remote for the TV barely worked. Luckily we carry extra batteries, but even then, Direct TV didn't work, so we had to stream our own content. Most importantly though, there was no one to contact after the restaurant closed in case something went wrong. What if we got locked out of our room, or the building? They really need an after hours contact.

Nice location right in middle of (QUIET) Hopland. Building and rooms are pretty dated with a lot of wear and tear. Bathroom wasn't very clean on arrival. Staff was super friendly though and bar/restaurant in building offered food and drinks. Other restaurants nearby too.

After Hours Process Needs Improvement

Overall this could have been a 5 star review if they had a better process in place for after hour emergencies. The room was beautiful and very clean; however, when I got back to my room after attending a wedding my keys were no longer working. It was a few minutes before 10pm on a Saturday night and all the staff was gone. I called the number on the website, which was to the front desk and all you can do is leave a voicemail. My saving grace was a kind couple that saw me in distress in the lobby and offered to help. They provided another after hours phone number that was printed on a paper in their room. This number should have been displayed in the lobby or entrance door where it was more visible. I called this number several times and left multiple voice mails. On my fifth time calling, someone finally answered and let me know that they would be sending someone to help. That person showed up fairly quickly, but overall it took over an hour to get back in my room. If the emergency number would have been clearly displayed in the lobby and had someone answered right away or called me back to say gives us 30 minutes to an hour to get you back in your room, I would not have bothered with this review.

Pleasant gem in Hopland

There are very few places to stay in or near Hopland so it is very nice to have at least two good hotel choices - the Thatcher and the Stock Farm, both of which are owned by Campovida. We stayed at Stock Farm and truly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are gigantic if that's your thing. With two sinks, a Jacuzzi tub and a very large shower, the bathroom alone was larger than some hotel rooms. Our room, which apparently was a 'regular room' had 10 or 11 ft ceilings, a wet bar, a fireplace, and a great balcony. There are very few dinner places in Hopland so we appreciated the pizza from the wood-fired oven served in the bar area. There are a few downsides: It can be noisy as highway 101 runs through the center of Hopland and in front of the hotel, and a fair number of things large and small need to be fixed including the elevator and the shower heads in our bathroom.

The staff were wonderful, and the room comfortable. The lack of an elevator would have been good Information ahead of time, since my husband is recovering from knee surgery.
And the cars drive way too fast on the road outside the hotel, very noisy and unsafe to cross the street.

Grandure gone awry.

The facility appeared to be an ignored stepchild, beautifully maintained at one time, but not currently well. It lacked attention to detail for a dated 80s - 4/5 star facility and appearance. Elevator was obviously abandoned and staffing was weak.

An oversized television was shoved into an unmatched frame above the fireplace, hindering full screen view. Curtains were tattered and didn't pull or draw properly. Windows were filthy, 8 sets of room keys were deposited in a cubby in the coffee area. Coffee baskets lacked coffee or condiments, towels were plopped out of the dryer not placed or presented in any way on the tub edge in the bathroom. Bathroom soap brands were mismatched.

Drains were not clear in sinks and shower. Shower head barely presented a spray flow. Floor in bathroom was slick and slippery when wet, nearly had a nasty fall out of the shower.

So sad to see and stay in a neglected, once grandios room/suite, that has such great potential.

This is a beautiful property, inside and out. It was 108F when we arrived... after following the signage, we checked in with the staff person in the pub. She was super sweet and welcoming. We were pleased and relieved to get to our room, with the air conditioning going and everything perfectly prepared. The bed was comfy and the living room area was a great place to relax and renew. We used the Roku option to watch TV, and could have accessed our other streaming services had we wanted to. The bathroom was amazing! We used the tub as a soaking tub, which was great even though we couldn't get the bubbles to work. (We could hear it was trying, so maybe there is an air pump hise that needs to be addressed?) The shower was clean and spacious. We didn't use the pool, but if we come back again I intend to give it a go. We ate in the sit-down resturant downstairs. Pleased with the service... the mixed drinks, the salad and the pizza were great. Overall an A stay. Thanks!
