Clean room and linens. Table and chairs were nice touch for eating in. Shower was rather small and could probably use an update. A light in the area with the fridge/microwave would have been helpful. Would definitely stay again. Santana's next door was great for breakfast as well as the Shoreline Cafe. TNT on the Lake Bar & Grill was great as a dinner option.

We Love the ambiance we stayed lower level with 2 beds overlooking lake view peaceful environment We came after Memorial Day so if you like quietness great place to do it There’s a bbq grill outside our room and nice chairs to relax there’s a door to go to the patio and deck outside so you can walk around the back property just make sure you pay attention where you’re walking coz there’s a lot of bird and duck droppings great place to do bird watch if you like nature We stayed in the room where there’s full kitchen so it made it convenient to cook breakfast and load our groceries on the big fridge Over all we had a nice stay we plan to visit again in the future and maybe we will bring our fishing rods when we have more time to go fishing .

Omg I wish I had another night there! This place isn't just cute with amazing views! It's like a mini fantasy with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I mean \"on\" because I don't care how clean a place may seem no one passes the black light test 😅 but I would definitely recommend this place! 10 out of 10.

My family stayed in a lake front room and I’m so glad we did. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and being able to fish off the dock was convenient for our kids. I would recommend getting bug zappers around the complex because the swarms were terrible at night. I wanted to hang outside more but it was overwhelming. The chairs and tables on the back patio were also filled with dead bugs and should be sprayed down/wiped often.

The room was a good size, beds need replacing, and room lighting needs to be updated. Staff was “OK”, I went into the front office one day and want even greeted or acknowledged, waited a few minutes and walked out. I also tried to ask room service for towels and there was definitely a language barrier since housekeeping didn't speak english but she was super nice.

I like the fact that theres tether ball and horseshoes but I the grass is a land mine and filled with goose poop so the kids had to play with shoes on in the grass. While playing horseshoe, I step in dog/cat poop that was either in the sand or next to the box, but that was my last straw.

Overall the family had a good time and its convenient location makes it ideal.

Super clean and comfy rooms updated and looks great. Great staff easy to communicate with. We had a lake view room and it was spacious with a great view. The grounds are well kept and had lots a great activities for my little one. Right next to boat launch and had boast parking inside grounds. Pool was clean as well. Definitely will be staying there again

On my first night there the phone started ringing in the room at 12 o’clock midnight. It rang over six times between midnight and 430. I did call the office at 2:30 and got the answering service. At 4:30 I finally realized I should unplug the phone. I spoke to the office on Saturday morning and was told that it had happened once before. I spoke to the office this morning when I was checking out and said that no one from management had called me on my cell phone. She said that they were aware and that it had happened a week prior in my room. I love staying there and I generally come once a month now, but I was very disturbed. That management did not even acknowledge that 4 1/2 hours of my sleep were disturbed.

Go-to place to stay in Lakeport. Love being able to walk right out to the lake shore and also stroll to downtown. Front desk folks are always helpful and communicative. The lake view rooms are spacious and have nice views, you can walk right out the back door to the lake from the first floor units. I’m typically in Lakeport for work so haven’t taken advantage of the fishing/paddling/boating opportunities but it seems like a great spot. Favorite is watching the sunrise over the lake and Mt Konocti.

Love this place and stay here whenever in town to visit friends (if there's a room available; in summer it's almost always full!) Friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms, right on the lake, with a swimming pool and kayaks for the lake. Reminds me of a New England style camp I saw in the movies. But it's California, on the largest natural fresh water lake in the state. Thanks for a great visit every time, Skylark~!*

I recently stayed at the Skylark Resort in Lakeport, and overall it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The location right on Clear Lake is beautiful -- the views alone make the stay worth it. The property has a peaceful, laid-back vibe, and it's easy to unwind whether you're by the water, enjoying the pool, or just taking in the scenery.

The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the staff was welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I appreciated the convenience of the on-site amenities and how close everything is to downtown Lakeport all walking distance!

There are still a few areas that could be updated or improved, but nothing that took away from the stay. With a little more attention to detail, this place could easily become a top getaway spot.

Overall, Skylark Resort is a great option if you're looking for a quiet lakeside escape with beautiful views and a friendly atmosphere. I'd be happy to stay here again.

Skylark Shores is a gorgeous property. The view of the lake from the docks and the yard is fantastic. We were on a road trip and got a flat tire earlier in the day, arrived in the dark after hours and they were very kind and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, but the towels could be nicer. They passed the tissue box test and had 2 boxes! We were out early the next morning but spoke with some people who were there on extended vacations and watched some children fly fishing and catching fish! I would totally make this a stop for a longer amount of time on my next road trip.

They charged me an additional 150.00 and after contacting them they have still not given an explanation, the house keeping staff also , Spanish women made racial slurs about my wife , to each other, I speak and understand Spanish, this was not exceptable , I know for a fact the women had no clue I understood Spanish, I video taped it all and plan to post it on all social platforms, I also plan on filing suit against the hotel, for house keeping miss conduct, shame on you , you rotten racism people, I can’t even express how upset I am . Also going to make a very clear report to ICE thease people need to be removed, and hotel needs to be fined, beautiful property but will never return

Great place to stay on the lake

Great place to stay. I was there for 11 days for a class I was taking in the area. The location was great right on the lake. The office workers were friendly. They had some great entertainment in the evenings. It was close to town. I would definitely stay there again.

We were excited pulling into the property and everything was beautiful outside, unfortunately inside the room paint was peeling from the walls in multiple areas, there were spider webs all in the bathroom window and the vanity in the bathroom was falling apart from water damage. The bed was the hardest bed I’ve slept on in years! So disappointing.

Needs improvement

The older section which allows dogs has deferred maintenance issues. The room smelled like BO and the bathroom smelled of mildew. The sheets were poor quality and the floor turned your feet black. The last time I stayed it smelled of bleach (now I know why). Noise from mini fridge all night and woken up by dogs barking next door at 5am made for poor sleep.
However, it is right on the lake in a beautiful setting and we would stay again if in the newer section.

Love the Skylark Shores

We love this sweet little spot on the lake. Beautiful sunrises and surroundings. Water craft available onsite, food nearby. I've only ever been off season, when it's quiet and peaceful. I imagine it could get a bit loud in season when the place is full. (One suggestion - add an easily accessible charging station to each room for AC as well as USB/C. They're not expensive and are so thoughtful when present in a room.)
