The grounds are well kept and had lots a great activities for my little one. Right next to boat launch and had boast parking inside grounds. Pool was clean as well. On my first night there the phone started ringing in the room at 12 o’clock midnight. It rang over six times between midnight and 430. I did call the office at 2:30 and got the answering service. At 4:30 I finally realized I should unplug the phone. I spoke to the office on Saturday morning and was told that it had happened once before. I spoke to the office this morning when I was checking out and said that no one from management had called me on my cell phone. She said that they were aware and that it had happened a week prior in my room. I love staying there and I generally come once a month now, but I was very disturbed. That management did not even acknowledge that 4 1/2 hours of my sleep were disturbed.

I have stayed at the Skylark whenever I visit Lakeport. The rooms are always clean, beds pretty comfortable and the is staff friendlyand helpful. My only complaint would be the pillows are a bit flat for my liking.

Go-to place to stay in Lakeport. Love being able to walk right out to the lake shore and also stroll to downtown. Front desk folks are always helpful and communicative. The lake view rooms are spacious and have nice views, you can walk right out the back door to the lake from the first floor units. I’m typically in Lakeport for work so haven’t taken advantage of the fishing/paddling/boating opportunities but it seems like a great spot. Favorite is watching the sunrise over the lake and Mt Konocti.

Friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms, right on the lake, with a swimming pool and kayaks for the lake. Reminds me of a New England style camp I saw in the movies. Skylark Shores is a gorgeous property. The view of the lake from the docks and the yard is fantastic. We were on a road trip and got a flat tire earlier in the day, arrived in the dark after hours and they were very kind and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, but the towels could be nicer. They passed the tissue box test and had 2 boxes! We were out early the next morning but spoke with some people who were there on extended vacations and watched some children fly fishing and catching fish! I would totally make this a stop for a longer amount of time on my next road trip.

They charged me an additional 150.00 and after contacting them they have still not given an explanation, the house keeping staff also , Spanish women made racial slurs about my wife , to each other, I speak and understand Spanish, this was not exceptable , I know for a fact the women had no clue I understood Spanish, I video taped it all and plan to post it on all social platforms, I also plan on filing suit against the hotel, for house keeping miss conduct, shame on you , you rotten racism people, I can’t even express how upset I am . Also going to make a very clear report to ICE thease people need to be removed, and hotel needs to be fined, beautiful property but will never return

We were excited pulling into the property and everything was beautiful outside, unfortunately inside the room paint was peeling from the walls in multiple areas, there were spider webs all in the bathroom window and the vanity in the bathroom was falling apart from water damage. The older section which allows dogs has deferred maintenance issues. The room smelled like BO and the bathroom smelled of mildew. The sheets were poor quality and the floor turned your feet black. The last time I stayed it smelled of bleach (now I know why). Noise from mini fridge all night and woken up by dogs barking next door at 5am made for poor sleep.
However, it is right on the lake in a beautiful setting and we would stay again if in the newer section.

Overall rating i would do is 5 stars. The hotel was clean and had a beautiful patio/lawn area where my child was able to run around. The ice machine infront of our room was used a lot between 9pm-11pm and woke my child up a few times. Besides that everything was great.

I love to stay on this hotel great place to stay. Just at room 107 the bed base is damage and bed is unstable and on shower the water handler was off just need the key pin. We turn on the heater and the noise was kind a loud.

We love this sweet little spot on the lake. Beautiful sunrises and surroundings. Water craft available onsite, food nearby. I've only ever been off season, when it's quiet and peaceful. I imagine it could get a bit loud in season when the place is full. (One suggestion - add an easily accessible charging station to each room for AC as well as USB/C. They're not expensive and are so thoughtful when present in a room.)

Very friendly woman who did our checkin. She pointed out where our room would be along with other accommodations like vending machines and ice. Beds are also very comfortable and it is very spacious. Only negative thing was just the toilet paper we found in the bathroom toilet while we were touring the room. Other than that, it was amazing!

I walked into the place and was blown away by the spectacular view. The staff was great, in helping me get transportation to and from a party on a windy back road with a late pick up. Was VERY appreciative at that. The only negatives are that the beds are very hard, and the worst part for me is there are no actual cups, everything is plastic which is terrible for the environment, especially at a lake. No one wants to drink a cup of coffee out of a paper cup.

It's a nice motel, has been for years, in the middle of updating rooms, lots for kids to do, boat docks, kayak and paddleboard rental, good restaurant next door, the pricier rooms have the best beds, there are multiple cottages as well as rooms, beautiful views.

Very clean and comfortable property. The facilities are older construction but very well kept and maintained. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the service was excellent. A few of the lake was fantastic.

This was a quaint little hotel that was actually bigger than what it looked like from the street. It had plenty of outdoor amenities, which we were not able to take advantage of due to time constraints, but we would definitely love to go back. There are rooms towards the back of the property that have a lakeside view, that we would like to book next time. The only negatives we could think of were the small dish towel sized bath towels and that there were no secondary sheer curtains to block passerby’s from looking into the room. The only curtains were a light blocking type and did keep the room dark. I would only take off half a star for that if I could.
