The grounds were awesome. The staff, excellent. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because everything would be a 10. If you are even thinking of staying here DO IT. The breakfasts are only one of the absolute best things about this place. There is not one bad thing that I could even touch on for our stay here. We will be back, looking forward already to trying one of the other themed cars. We stayed in the Easy Rider this time, since I ride a Harley I thought it would be fun. It was beyond any of my expectations. Just get here!!!

In 15 years it's changed owners at least 3 times

We stayed in Casablanca caboose that was fun. I hope that they get a better mirror/ glass cleaner I suggested Searway foaming glass cleaner. Also a luggage rack in that caboose. Under the current owner they have a young couple acting as onsite manager. They are friendly, kind, helpful but it lacked the probable homey attention we have received in the past.

It was a wonderful getaway, quiet and relaxing. The staff, including Lucky the cat, were all super friendly. Even our fellow visitors were friendly, it felt more like being part of a community than a customer at a chain hotel. The breakfast was homemade and excellent.

Everything is wonderful, from the lovely, welcoming greeting, to a most warm, cozy, comfortable stay in a caboose! We were in Midnight in Paris, the decor was tastefully done, like I imagine each of the other 8 are as well! Come enjoy an awesome experience, you won't regret it! Super quiet this time of year. The room was clean, smelled great and the managers were super open and friendly. We felt very comfortable, relaxed and welcomed.
Very happy they put in the heaters. It was cold at night! Bring slippers or thick socks. The floors due to the metal being covered with wood is super cold.

This is the most awesome, beautiful, creative place to stay! They have railroad cabooses as hotel rooms that are fun and clean and lovely! The breakfast in the morning that comes with the stay is hearty and delicious. I LOVE THIS PLACE and will come back again and again.

This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a bed-and-breakfast. We booked Casablanca for our anniversary weekend and staying there made it uniquely, memorable, and romantic! To confirm my reservation made sure there were no special request. The next morning the breakfast in the dining room. The next was absolutely delicious. They also have a great gift shop. I would definitely recommend for a quiet romantic getaway.

This was a great spot to stay. So pretty. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating to the member of our group who had dietary needs.
My only MINOR gripe was the lack of nearby restaurant options. Seriously, not a complaint since its a small town, and the options that were available were delicious.

We stayed here for my husband's birthday. We got the easy rider room. It was easy checking in and staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were well kept with a beautiful green lawn and yard games were available to play. They also had picnic benches and park type benches it was beautifully arranged. The lake is a skip across the street with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The room itself was a little dated, but the beds were very comfortable and the jet tub was amazing. In the morning, the owner made breakfast of waffles and sausage with a side of fresh fruit. There was also a coffee/tea bar available. The whole stay was delightful and I would 10/10 recommended to family and friends.

We spent my 60th birthday in the Wine Country caboose. This B & B was exactly what we needed after a couple of hectic months. On a very quiet street right across from the lake. This is a very unique property that has a feel unlike anything else we have ever experienced. The caboose was very clean with new smart TV, bed and coffee maker. Jamie and Dave (hosts) were the best and really made the entire trip. Breakfast was delicious and filling. This morning we took a nice walk along the lake. We can't wait to go back for a couple days and check out some of the other cabooses.

How cool is it to stay is a caboose....VERY!

Everyone at the featherbed railroad are wonderful, Richard, Jami, and David. We were treated like a members of the family. The location is beautiful, quiet and serene. The anamites are great. Breakfast is very good, better than a typical restaurant quality.
Just need to know that it is a 40 years old property so room is not brand new, AC is a bit loud. Though these doesn’t affect my stay 😊

First I must say that the breakfast in this place is wonderful and oh so tasty!!! They want to know if there are any dietary restrictions and work with you if so. Fun themed caboose cars for rooms! Mine was ‘Casablanca’ with Red neon sign Rick’s Cafe Americain” over a piano (out of tune) as you enter and across was a bar (empty alcohol bottles). An old radio and suitcase. A poster from the movie and a mirror enclosed giant jetted tub. The mirror over the sink had,”here’s lookin at you, kid!” Bed was VERY comfortable! There was an odor that was strong at the beginning but seemed to decrease as the heater was run for a while...maybe mildew?

This trip was for our 15th. Anniversary and it was amazing! The details that the owners have put into the place are absolutely extraordinary! Not to mention, wonderful people! The breakfast was to die for! Italian Frittata, home made Focaccia, with yogurt and fresh berries. A variety of teas as well as coffee. The Chef/Owner is very talented! A plentiful library of both books and movies. A truly unique experience! We plan on returning regularly! Thank you for making us feel so welcomed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Tropicaboose. This was a unique experience; you'd never guess how wonderfully appointed the room is from the outside. The space is a great size; the bed is AMAZING. The sheets were so soft...it felt like being on a cloud (but the mattress provided great support too!).
The room had wine glasses, corkscrew/opener and ice bucket as well as a bistro table and small fridge. The bathroom was quite nice, the towels fluffy and good size.
Breakfast was also fabulous; the homemade sausage patty was supreb (spicy, not greasy or heavy). We highly recommend staying here!

This place is wonderful! We stayed in the wine car and other than lighting being a bit bad the room was well appointed and comfortable. We loved the jacuzzi tub and June makes the most fantastic and best breakfast I have ever had! The view of the lake at sunset is spectacular. We loved it so much that we plan on making this a yearly event and are currently working on putting together a trip with friends for sometime next year, we can't wait to introduce them this location it's worth every cent and then some!

This kind of charm is hard to find in today’s world. I love the unique nature of this stay! Plus the owners are incredibly helpful and wonderfullly sweet people. I love the huge selections of movies and the jetted tub was incredible. Multiple lighting options, my only suggestion is I was unable to close all the windows—which mafe my room a bit cold and I didn’t want to waste the heat to go out the window! Other than that—i would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable and eccentric one of a kind bed & breakfast experience! Oh and the breakfast, ah-amazing, de-licious!!

What a great stay! Julie and the rest of the crew are so pleasant to deal with and even asked if there was anything special we wanted to have for breakfast on our last morning, since we were the only guests at that time. The WiFi isn’t great in the cabooses themselves because of the steel, so just be aware of that if it is something you are looking for. It works just fine in the common areas though.
