This was the 4th time i have stayed there. My room didn't have a place to hang cloths. Bath room didn't have a place for towels. The safety latch was missing from door.
Iwould stay there agin but would ask for a different room.

Room cleanliness very dirty , shower filthy, toilet wobbly and sink faucet had a leak could not stop leaking. Although it was marketed as non-smoking room , the cigarette odor was present.
The door dead bolt broken off and door looked like had been prayed out. night felt very creepy and uncomfortable.

It you looking for a dirt and dangerous place this is right for you, smelled cigarettes and if you have allergies stay away from it its too dirty every single item inside was damaged, if you thinking about staying here better sleep in you car you will be more comfortable , me and my wife had a 2 day reservation and couldn’t stay a whole night ,also there’s lot of mold ,someone should call the health department on it

The only good about this property was Megan, she was very nice. The room wasn’t well clean, there were hairs on the bathroom shower, it’s an old place that haven’t had a renovation in a long time. The photos on the app aren’t nothing like the place.

Do not believe the fake 10/10 reviews. Read through the 2/10 reviews. They are spot on. The room was disgusting. Filthy bathroom, filthy bathtub, huge blood stain on the mattress under the mattress pad, food on the floor between the bed and the nightstand. We didn’t even takeoff our jackets, we got out of there immediately and drove 2 1/2 hours home. I will never believe Expedia ratings again, without digging in to individual reviews. So many red flags at check-in: A very thorough review of the rules, had a television red light District Motel feel to it. The outside looks like a scene from a horror movie. Expedia is trying to get a refund which I think is unlikely, based on the other feedback. I just wish Expedia would remove the fake reviews so tired travelers understand what a horror show this hotel is. Be warned! Do not stay here!

This place does NOT look like the pictures. Pulling into the parking lot and you'll see run down signage, blinking signs, and even some flickering lights. Check in was quick, easy, and friendly. Now onto the room.... lordy where do i start? This place is sooooooo outdated and is in desperate need, for not even just upgrades, but PROPER maintenance. The ceiling tiles were gross looking and some looked like they'd fall out. One electrical socket didnt have a cover (I would assume that shouldn't be like that for safety). One socket didnt work at all. There was a tissue stuffed into a possible hole in the ceiling. The Side table lamp was broken. The towel rack in bathroom was rusted quite a bit. Bed was ok... had clean sheets. I asked for an extra towel and wash clothes. Front desk said that they didnt have anymore but they would get some and bring them to my room within 10-15 minutes... got them almost 1.5 hours later (after 11 pm. Luckily, i hadnt fallen asleep yet). No phone in the room to contact front desk. Had I been able to get a refund, I would have and went elsewhere. Don't get me wrong. I'm not looking for immaculate and completely updated esthetics, but this was a bit ridiculous. Definitely won't be staying there ever again. Sorry.

My experience “staying” at the Regency Inn in Richmond was so bad it bordered on disturbing. First let me say, the staff was friendly and reasonably professional.

But the room was perhaps the most appalling room I’ve ever had the misfortune to step into, to say nothing of a hotel room that I had already been charged for.

The first thing to hit was the sickly sweet smell of cleaner that was clearly covering up a very, very bad odor. I stopped breathing through my nose within a minute or so of being in the room. The second thing was the squish as I stepped onto the carpet. The third thing was the sagging and stained acoustic ceiling tiles.

After that it was just one bad thing after another: the battered furniture, the deeply stained carpet and armchair, the lamps with non-working bulbs, the stained bathtub, the rusty fixtures.

Even though I was exhausted from a long drive from Florida, there was no question of spending another minute in that room. The staff said there were no other rooms available and that that room was representative of the others. I left immediately, needing to put many miles between me and that disturbing room.

Needless to say, the photos in the listing looking NOTHING like the actual room I was assigned. The photos I’m attaching don’t even fully convey what the room actually looked like. I have no idea how this establishment managed to acquire the positive reviews.

Desk staff was nice and helpful getting me checked in and fixing my room key card when it didn’t work. They were great. Just being honest - overall, the room I had was pretty run-down. I didn’t even want to sit in the chair. That being said, I saw no bugs and nothing dangerous so it was fine for 1 night.

Hotel looks like it is primarily catering to an itinerant population, with obvious long-term residents taking most rooms. It was challenging to get an “accessible” room, even when I had requested one in advance. First I was given a third floor room (no elevator), then one that required me to park on the opposite side of the hotel and walk around, because the room was only accessible by stairs on the side of the hotel closest to it. Walking around on that level, I had to navigate an electric car charger coming out of a room and an electric bike parked on the sidewalk. The rooms are very shabby, with broken counters and tiles, layers of grout and adhesive barely holding things together, and when I got to my room, it had not been cleaned and had used towels and trash strewn everywhere. When I called the front desk to complain, the clerk seemed to have trouble understanding what I needed (cleaning and towels), and when housekeeping finally showed up, she had no idea why she was there. At least she did a decent job cleaning and totally stripped the one bed I slept in (she did not replace the bedspread on the other bed, just shook the dirt off it.) The room also smelled like old grease and heavy spices. This is the second time I’ve stayed here because it is so close to the event venue I was going to, but I think this is the last time I will be doing this.

Rooms are poorly maintained.
Furnitures are broken and are from old furnitures thrown from some Hilton hotel.
Don't have an Iron box, please carry one if you need one during the stay.
No kettles to even prepare coffee in the morning.
Floors makes your feet dirty. Bathroom has no hooks to hang your cloths. There are no hangers in the room. The photos are fake, doesn't look like it at all. You will get a much better experience for this price somewhere else

This was the nastiest place ever. Checked in, and checked immediately out after going in the room. It stunk like crazy. A bunch of sketchy people were hanging out ruining up and down the hall. We had to last minute pay a crazy rate elsewhere because there we're not a lot of places with rooms left, due to some events that weekend. No refund because we checked in later than the 3:00pm check in time. $900.00 for a 2 night stay in Richmond.

BEWARE – the photos are seriously misleading. The carpet was peeling up, the sink was damaged, the mirror backing was coming off, and the whole room smelled damp. The bathtub was so dirty I wouldn’t wash my dog in it. The bedsheets were stained (at least I hope they were stains and not just dirt… yikes). And more. I took real photos and hope the app lets me upload them. There is absolutely no way this is an 8-rated hotel. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could give this place a 10 — it was bad. The only positive was the really friendly guy at check-in, though a staff member knocked on my door in the morning asking me to check out earlier than what my confirmation email said. Fine. I left and won’t be back. You’ve been warned.

However, the physical state of the facility was disconcerting. The outside looked truly decrepit. A makeover is needed, along with full on paint job.
The interior rooms appeared very dated. The bathrooms, had very old fixtures. Yet it was very, very clean. The bed itself was also very clean and exceptionally well made up - sheets, pillows properly placed and looked spotless..
The Wi-Fi had little to no signal, very disappointing. The TV was cable, but the quality of the picture was disappointing.

The staff was nice and cooperative. However, the bed was comfortable basically average clean. Though, the furniture is old wood that could look better if it's refurbished. The chair and reclining needs to be upholstered or thrown in the garbage. The sink needs to be upgraded and the tissue holder needs to be replaced. The hotel has great potential if the owner/s put time into keeping the walking/floor areas clean and painted.

I see that I was charged a higher price on line but the advertisement showed a reduction in the cost and at the reception area. I will dispute the charge.
