Our room looked like it still needed finishing from light replacement. There were lots of tiny bugs crawling on the floor and tv stand, pretty sure they were baby cockroaches as we did kill a big one crawling up the wall! Also, we did not have any hot water, front desk said that the boiler went out and to wait about 15 mins. We did and the water was still not hot. I asked to move rooms and they gave us a different room to go take showers in but not to relocate permanently. While I went across to the other building to shower, we got a call from the front desk that they would have to relocate as the repair to the boiler would not be fixed until after our stay was over. Sending us to a working room just to shower is not acceptable and not good customer service. Offering to relocate rooms should have been the answer right off the bat!! This will never be an option to stay again. Two sars only because the property was located on the lake with a beautiful lake view

I arrived a little after 9:00 PM to check in, but the front office was closed. Both the sliding door and the side entrance were locked, the office was dark, and no staff were present. Because I couldn’t access the office or complete check-in, I had to find another hotel for the night.

Room has bugs in it, hopefully not bed bugs. Extremely loud music and people yelling all night. Didn't get any sleep. Probably should have asked for my money back..

Limited interaction with staff, didn’t see the pool. The room smelled as though it were just cleaned, but there was a residue on the ground all around the furniture- I wiped it up with a towel which did not get all of it. I was only there for one night, so I decided to stay but if I had planned a longer trip I would have moved hotels.

NEVER STAY HERE. This property is not operating as a hotel - it is filthy with garbage on the grounds (parking lot, pool area, etc).
It also felt unsafe. It seems to be being used as a transient/homeless camp. It should not be advertised as an option for visitors to Lakeport.

This is not a good place to stay. The grounds are littered with cigarette butts, beer cans, and bird feces. The room was hardly cleaned. Hair on the shower walls and crumbs on the table. The microwave was nasty, AC panel was busted. It was just an all around bad experience. It's unfortunate since the motel is right downtown on the lake so it has potential but there's a major component of not caring. There appears to i ly be one cleaning lady and she was very nice, but the owners sit around on the patio doing nothing.

This site should be removed from hotel sites. The rooms were not clean we moved twice in one night and still we had to clean the rooms ourselves, just to be able to sleep. You could find better furniture in a bargain basement; we had to put our own throw blankets on the sofa sleeper, which didn't have a mattress in it. These people are so stingy and cheap, all they want is to make money. The lake view is beautiful but the hotel rotten and dirty. Oh, and they own the hotel next door, so be ware.

Was stated as $102/night but on the final page it said $118. Didn’t really appreciate that. As far as the room, very barebones type of place. Either old or not the cleanest shower. Had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed cause it felt like my head was slanted lower than my feet if I slept the normal way. The room served its purpose but nothing to write home about.

- Unwilling to accommodate handicapped guest — had to check out early because of this and feeling unsafe
- TV remote batteries missing
- TV not working anyway (not calling man into my room into late evening to help single mama and her two kids, so no, I didn’t ask for it to get fixed)
- WiFi password not shared at check in and not posted in rooms
- Dirty microwave
- Toilet paper holder missing (tp on back of toilet)
- Toilet wobbly upon sitting (it’s about 1” off from where it’s supposed to sit on ground)
- No bathtub, only small standup shower (window was left open upon check in)

- No drain stop in sink
- Only 2 pillows per bed, no extras
- No extra blankets provided
- Only two outlets near bed area
- Beds surprisingly comfortable despite being very squeaky.

Overall, didn’t feel safe with the people in the area (except the cleaning lady, she was nice). I am kicking myself for not reading the reviews before checking into this way overpriced hole.

I reached out to the third party booking site to try and get me a refund for the second night we didn’t stay (we left before checkout) since I didn’t feel comfortable confronting them about the safety issues and not accommod

I had to get another hotel last minute due to it being full of people smoking when it states nonsmoking, dirty room, the bedding was old and had cigarette burn holes in it with stains, a car air freshener hanging from the wall light, missing parts to the room, hair and dirty in shower. Luckily the staff was understanding and gave me a refund.

Upon arrival we were without water for the first few hours. We had to borrow their broom to clean the floors, and on the last day I was in the bathroom using the facilities and got drenched in water. There was a big leak from the room above us. We tried to wake the front desk. This was at 7AM. They never answered us banging on the door or calling their phone. I used all the towels to put on the bathroom floor and left a garbage can on the toilet to catch the water falling from above. As we had to get going we still could not get any ones attention, and this was at 8AM.
Through out the week the staff was able to fix the things that did not work. This being the outlet use our things that needed to be plugged in, the cold water facet that was broken, the lights that all worked on one switch and not the switches they were suppose to work on. The fridge had a few issues as well. Beautiful people trying to work there, but they really need to get up or answer the phone when someone is trying to get a hold of them. They apologized the first few days and said I would be reimbursed for all the inconvenience we had, but of course they already had my money before we even came so I will be totally surprised if I see any of the money back on my visa card

The area by the entrance to our room was very dirty. There was a stair case by our room that had garbage under and around it. Then the man sitting on the curb on front of our room cutting his toenails was disgusting. The room itself was clean but very old. The soft blanket on the bed was the best thing. Wont stay here again.

I was disappointed with Clear Lake area. After driving down the coast from Washington, I guessed that Clear Lake would be beautiful. You can hardly get to the shore and enjoy the lake. The town of felt unsafe walking around and the beds were terrible. One bed had a hug scoop in the middle. It was marginally clean and I just felt uncomfortable.

Hotel was very dirty with pill bottle under the bed. The TV was unplugged with no power and we had to connect the cable and wires. Even with doing that, the TV still did not work. The office smelled…..and there were some shady looking characters hanging around. Will never book a spot here again.

This place was discussting. The room had finger nail clippings and used bandage on the floor. Then the toilet would not flush at any time. Manager would not come and check it. Just left me a plunger and left. Great place for hookers , and field and construction workers. Thank god we brought our LYSOL!!!!!!

Our stay was very nice. The staff were nice and showed us where we could fish at night. We walked about a block and there were options for dinner, which was convenient. The only thing that was difficult was the parking. It was very tight and we had park in an awkwardly small spot that made my car feel insecure and fat. It took a couple days of driving around the coast to get her confidence back up. If we stay here again were bringing our civic.

The customer service we received from the front desk was lovely. It appears to be a family owned business and they do their best to make everyone feel welcome.

This is an economy motel, so you get what you pay for. The price was right, but overall, the accommodations were dirty. The beds and bathroom were clean, which is all that matters. However, the walls and kitchenette looked like they hadn't seen a good wipedown in years. I actually used the first hour scrubbing the areas around the light switches and doorknobs Ick.

The location is nice -- right on the lake and the family running the business is wonderful. I think they may need to consider upgrading house keeping once they are established financially. Not a bad review on their house keepers -- the one I met was equally awesome. I just get the feeling they don't have enough time or staff to get more than the bare minimum clean. Our stay would have been 5 stars without the icky walls and light fixtures.

We checked in to the hotel and the best thing I can say about this place was the staff was very friendly. I booked 2 rooms, and one room was ok for cleanliness and the other was not. There was used earplugs and pistachio shells in the dresser drawers as well as left over food in the refrigerator. The shower had 2 temperatures, SCALDING hot or lukewarm. The beds in one room were fairly decent and comfortable, the others were creaky and worn out. I had one of the newly \"remodeled\" rooms, and whoever put in the sink countertop obviously cannot read a level and does not know what plumb means, but it was whatever since I just needed a place to lay my head. Location was ok, close to town and some good restaurants in the area, but if I had to stay there again... probably not.
