This hotel was just an average experience. The staff and service was above and beyond, however the WiFi was horrible. They had multiple networks and would randomly stop working and would ask you to sign in every time. The AC was barely working as well. The door to the balcony didn’t close properly and would let out whatever air the AC managed to cool. The lobby and the hallways were hot and humid. The water pressure however was great compared to other hotels in Egypt. The best part about the hotel was the location.

Exceptional sea view and location

Exceptional location and very wide sea view especially with the suite rooms. Got it for a very cheap reasonable price. Turn on the heater/AC and it will block the car noises. Will likely stay here again. Very pleasant receptionist on the morning and evening shifts.

This hotel was okay overall. Nice accommodation, good location, good food. Safe. I really like some of the people working in the cafeteria, their genuine kindness was the highlight of my stay. A few drawbacks unfortunately include: not getting all my laundry back, a persistent love offer that made me uncomfortable, and evil eye from some of the staff despite me just keeping to myself.

I paid over 120 dollars a night for this hotel, that is really bad for a property in Egypt that is not even worth 3 stars. It's rated as 5 stars and tried to apply the no guests rule to visitors. After check I was given a second floor room which I had to immediately change because of the proximity to the street and noise. The facilities are old and deceiving. It was clean which was the only good thing. After a hassle at the front desk I was offered a complimentary fruit plate which acknowledged their fault. The hotel photo shows the Four Seasons building façade on the website which makes you think that this is the hotel that you will be staying until you realize it's the four seasons and not the Plaza hôtel. I won't recommend staying.

The worst experience ever. They completely ruined my vacation. Hours wasted standing at the front desk because these people are frauds. No wifi. Beds as hard a rock and we never could get a decent nights rest. There is no sound insulation so you hear everything next to you and on the street. Everything smells like an ashtray. We felt sick and gross the whole time because it is unclean. Staff was hostile, aggressive, and blatantly lied. They entered our room when the do not disturb sign was up. They harassed us and called our room in the middle of the night but would hang up. They essentially tried to make us so miserable that we had no choice but to leave early.

They promised to issue a refund. That is why I checked out early and why they gave me a receipt for the amount to be refunded. That was the agreement but as soon as we left they changed their story. I have physical proof they would issue a refund but once we checked out they lied to Expedia. They lied to me, tried to charge me extra, bullied me, made us feel completely uncomfortable during our time there.

The whole time they were telling me that they wanted to offer me a refund but that Expedia would not allow them to do so. They have been lying the whole time. They have lies listed amongst their amenities. They are not to be trusted.

The manager hid for hours whenI went back to check on my refund. Expedia should drop them.

Also the food is disgusting. We ate there after check in and got sick.

Short family trip to Alexandria

During a short trip with family to Alexandria City, we selected plaza hotel to book 3 rooms for 2 nights. The Hotel location is good and there are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The rooms are small but clean and comfort with side sea view. Breakfast is just Okay with limited varieties. Car Parking is 50 meters away from the hotel in the same street with almost EGP35 per night. Staff are friendly and helpful. The overall stay was very good and we will book the hotel again for our future short trips to Alexandria.

$189.99 a night is not worth the stay. The beds were small and hard. Lighting was bad in the room. One light would flicker when you would turn it off like a haunted house. The AC was not cold and in one room it was not working. Look for another place to stay. This is not the place you want to be.

It’s location is superb.
It has many bad things as:
1. The bathroom always have very bad smell.
2. No heated water although we are in winter.
3. The catering in the room is too poor that I didn’t find water bottles in my room and i had to ask for it, also only 2 tea bags 2 nescafe for whole 2 person/night.
4. When I asked for slippers, I found that the slippers they brought me were torn down!!
5. The breakfast buffet had very limited choices and many things tasted bad as if they were old not fresh.

- cleaning is very good
- room service is very fast and helpful
- breakfast is very good and many options there
- the cost is not too much
- the net work is too slow & the wifi as well.
- the hotel parking is small

Front desk staff, bellman and security excellent.
I would recommend having your breakfast included with your room rate because it was fantastic. Great value.
Only disappointment was the housecleaning. It was an easy fix when I called down to the front desk to ask for help with extra towels or shampoo they would send someone up right away. The location was great next to the four seasons hotel which you would be able to access their beach across the street . Wonderful views

Very good location near San Stifano Mall. Hotel is clean and room cleanliness is acceptable. Views from a sea view room are beautiful. Try to get a room 8th floor or above to reduce road noise.
On the negative side the management is very old fashioned so expect some non sense. Breakfast is low in choice and quality but the nearby mall offers some choices.

This hotel is awful. No way is it 4 star. I am very upset that hotels.com would allow it to be rated as such. I Would say it’s a 2 star. Def not worth the price even. Standard rooms are very very bad you cannot stay in it. The room on higher floor a little bare able but also if can be avoided will be better. Room service was bad. Reception staff where very unfriendly. Porters and cleaners were nice and helpful.

That said after some fighting and complaining. The staff did try to make up by moving us to a slightly better room and giving us water after 2 nights. however still bad hotel

Not sure why this only has 3.5 stars - the hotel is old, yes, but it is well maintained and in a great area. The price is very reasonable and the service is great. The breakfast is just ok, but you do have a nice selection and (most importantly) a help yourself coffee machine. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The location of this hotel is perfect, away from noisy downtown, one apratment away from Fourseasons Hotel with shopping mall (including Burger King and Starbucks) and the beach across the street. The reception desk service is wonderful. The rooms are old, dinky but have a working fridge and TV. Mine had a balcony, looking west, which was good.
I recommend it-very good deal for the price.

Run down hotel

I was disappointed that the inside and outside of the hotel is so run down. Lobby is not air conditioned, and hallway to the room was poorly lit, dark and dingy. The carpets are old and stained, bed is ok and sheets are clean but bed covers are old polyester type. Bathroom is ok and clean. The hotel car park was about 5 min walking distant from the hotel and its an open air unpaved parking lot. I was not given bath towels and I requested for on before I left for sightseeing. When we came back that night still no towels, we had to call front desk twice before we were given some. The hotel is located right in front of a busy street, so expected to be kept awake by honking cars till late at night. And for the price we paid, expect to get a room facing to the side where you can also see the ocean, but not front view of the ocean, those rooms I think cost more. I got a room with 2 single beds pushed together and my friend got a room with one single queen, his room was smaller. I am sure for $57 we can get a better hotel next time.

This hotel is in a good location, across the street from the beach.. which is good, except for the traffic noise all night. It is undergoing renovations so internet was down. The staff were kind, helpful with arabic translations and always smiling. Breakfast was a quite extensive selection of food. In general I good go back once renovations are done.
