Nice room with balcony. Everything is modern in the room. Breakfast is good, but could be crowded and at these moments serving dishes are empty. Not enough staff to serve, clean, and prepare tables. We were there at the end of the season. Cannot imagine how they are operating in the season. Beach is nice but the water is shallow and you need to walk for a good 5 min to be able to go deep in the water. Beach chairs are very low and not really comfortable. Nice comfortable chairs are around the pool, but only 4 of them, and you cannot move them even a little bit to get a shade. They do not open any umbrellas on the deck with the statement that it is a wind. Even if it is not. Food in the restaurant is not something to write home about, but if you are on the beach, lazy to dress and go literally 2 small blocks to the main street, this restaurant is very helpful. People that are working in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Always happy to help with any situation. Territory and rooms, including common areas, are clean. Area is turisty, there are a lot of good restaurants, a bus is operating on the main street and will bring you to the nearest small cities. Renting a car is helpful.

The family room was perfect for us. Total privacy for the adults on the lower level with the kids just upstairs. Room was beautiful. Bathrooms were modern and attractive. Beach was awesome. Oiols were great. Spa was also great. I have nothing negative or bad to say. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the patio was overlooking the sea. The beach is perfect for kids, lots of sunbeds and umbrellas available. Good restaurants and some shops just up the street. Lots of parking if you have a car. Room with the loft was great, provided kids with their own space. Only downside is a lack of storage. We only brought one small carry on each, but there wasn’t enough storage or shelf space to accommodate our things. Otherwise, excellent stay and would love to return.

First above all, the hotel is super friendly and has a great location. The staff became personal friends almost immediately. The rooms and drink/dining were way above expectations and the breakfast far exceeded anything we've ever seen. The beach and surroundings are gorgeous and welcoming with a visit everyday. Our Go-To Choice in Crete⛱️

First, I want to emphasize that we are frequent travelers, and during our stay in Crete, we stayed at several hotels. However, Agia Marina Hotel & Resort stood out as the best. Here’s why:

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is beachfront, located on what we believe is the best beach in Crete. Free parking was available, and the rooms were clean. Additionally, the hotel is surrounded by numerous taverns, making it convenient to explore local cuisine. The hotel met all of our expectations in terms of quality, making it well worth the price.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 days.Great accommodations for a Family of 4: 2-story room with full bathrooms and A/C on both levels. Very nice property, clean, safe. Extremely friendly staff, especially front desk manager, Athena. Wonderful breakfast with great variety of dishes every day. The property is right on the beach with enough umbrellas and sunbeds for all the guests. It is only a 10- min bus ride from Chania. Highly recommended this hotel!

Elia Agia Marina:

Good and bad. We have very mixed feelings about our honeymoon stay at Elia Agia Marina.

The Bad:
We spent a 3 week honeymoon throughout Greece and were made to feel welcome in all the hotels we stayed at except for this one. Each hotel went out of their way to congratulate us and even send bottles of wine to welcome us. This is not required but a nice touch. We never received our free bottle of wine included with our Expedia booking. We felt weird asking for it as we were made to feel uncomfortable with everything we asked for throughout our stay including beach towels and housekeeping. The staff seemed very friendly with their regular guests but we did not feel welcomed throughout our week there. Also, we had a room with a handicapped shower which consistently flooded due to a flawed setup that the staff acknowledged being an issue. It was very frustrating that we would have to ask nightly for extra towels to absorb the water despite them indicating a note would be left for housekeeping. Housekeeping also seemed to inconsistently clean the room and forgot to give us towels multiple times. Overall, there was a very weird vibe here and this was one of the least welcoming hotels we have ever stayed in.

The Good:

The room was very spacious. We also had a very nice view of the ocean from room 11. The breakfast was plentiful each day and offered good options for every appetite.

They treated us like we were one of the family!

The staff was absolutely incredible!! They catered to our every need, whether at a meal, by the pool, or on the beach! Arranged our airport shuttle, called us taxis, they even provided us with boxed breakfast (that we didn’t even ask for) the day we had to leave early to head to the airport!
They all went above and beyond!!!!

Hotel right on the beach if your only there for the sea then the size of the pool isn’t a problem I guess, we like both tho!
Lots of pool bars on the beach tho that you can use theirs pools if you buy drinks/eat at their establishments.
Most staff great, tho the bar lady with the blonde hair was rude constantly throughout the week and only seems to interact with local people she knows that use the hotel for food or drinks, it was disappointing as there was no reason for it.

BeAutiful boutique hotel on the beach. Great and helpful staff eager to help. Parking is easy with a lot adjacent to the hotel. About a 15 min drive to the Harbor of Chania. Rooms are small but well appointed. The AC on’y Works if the patio door is closed which is fine but ours was quite fussy...

Excellent position right on the beach, all staff are lovely and get to know their customers. Our room was new so the facilities were second to none ...best mattress i stayed on in greece and a lovely rain shower, the pool is a big jacuzzi.
Dana makes lovely coffee in the morning and breakfast is also good. If you have lunch or dinner the portions are quite big.

The location was perfect right on the beach and about a 20 minute drive from Chania. Lots of shops and restaurants were nearby. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming. The view was amazing with a swimming pool overlooking the sea and there was always a big variety of food at breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying here.

A Hidden Gem on the Beach.

Second visit for us, the Hotel has been improved in the last year with a new pool added. The Staff were excellent and friendly, special mentions for Chris, Dana, Sylvia and Andreas. The improvements are continuing with additional rooms being added behind the existing building. Breakfast was also an improvement on last year, same style but better quality. This is a lovely hotel in a great location so close to the beach, there are lots of excellent places to eat within a 10 minute walk as well. A Regular bus service in to Chania can also be picked up at 20 minute intervals. All in all a 5 star recommendation for a delightful small boutique Hotel.
Only minor downside was the WiFi in our room was poor, not really a problem though.

The hotel room was amazing with a view of the sea from bed. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The outdoor eating area is beautiful right on a cliff on the beach with access to free chairs and umbrellas. There is also free parking for your car in a lot. It is within walking distance to the touristy attractions in the town. I would definitely recommend this hotel it was awesome!

Right on the beach with excellent facilities

Very friendly staff makes you feel welcome and is very helpful. Service on the beach all day with food and drink and a very nice garden/balcony with tables under the sun umbrellas for breakfast, lunch amd dinner. Very nice view from a comfortable room overlooking a small island nearby. You can find everything you want in Agia Marina village and there are buses to Chania town every 15 minutes. I would recommend it!

Lovely beach hotel in a great location

My daughter and i spent a wonderful 6 days at the Elia Agli Marina Hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room with sea view was very comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were good too. The hotel is in an excellent location being right on the beach but set back from the main road where shops , restaurants and bars abound. And only a short bus ride to the lovely town of Chania. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

Overall great experience at this hotel! The staff was superb and didn't hesitate to help us in locating things to do and accommodating our late and early morning schedules. The hotel was very clean with comfortable beds, good shower amenities, and general hotel comforts. The hotel, located not in Chania (pronounced Hain-ya) downtown harbor (about 15 minutes away by car) features great beach front access, an outdoor patio with ample seating, a small heated pool, and an outside bar. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast in the morning but it seemed nice with good selection. The indoor restaurant also looked to be a good place to eat. Overall, good stay in a fine hotel located in the hotel strip with great beach front views. Perfect for those looking to relax.

Loved this hotel! After a very long journey with delays I was delighted to be greeted with such a warm welcome at the hotel. The bed and pillows were comfy and the shower was hot with great pressure. There is a small market on the corner to get snacks and lots of nearby restaurants if you want to explore beyond the hotel dining. We enjoyed the hotel enough to go back a second time on the same trip.

Very helpful staff, always there with a solution to our various needs. We were having with us our 18 month baby, so lots of different things were asked for and provided. The hotel is one year old but there are some minor faults in furniture and upholstery. The cleanliness level is something that would definitely need some improvement in the future! The view to the sea was great, the location very good but breakfast was plain and lacking in local products.

Fint hotel med dejlig strand

Ophold på 2 døgn. Fint hotel med dejlig “privat” strand. Morgenmad og Middagen var ikke værd at skrive hjem om. Personalet var super søde, men gaber helt sikkert over for mange gæster i forhold til antallet af ansatte.

Kan fint anbefales til et par dage. Men vi vin anbefale, at i ikke køber halvpension, men finder andre steder at spise.

Hotellets plassering på stranden er bra, men det er slitt og tilbyr lite annet enn strand. Er du en bassengperson må du velge et annet hotell. Treningsrommet er heller ikke all verden, men er man der alene kan man få gjennomført noe. Hyggelig betjening, men transfer hadde ikke prisen som lovet og for all del ikke bestill halv pensjon. Frokost er ok, men middagsutvalget og kvaliteten ganske dårlig. Stranden og solsengene (som det var akkuratt nok av) er dog veldig bra og veier opp for resten.

Haben Halbpension gebucht und waren sehr begeistert, dass das Abendessen kein Buffet war wie beim Frühstück, sondern A la Carte. essen war lecker und die getränkepreise voll ok.
Zimmer waren sauber, Klima hat gut funktioniert, hatten Meerblick mit großem Balkon obwohl nicht gebucht.
Frühstück war auch lecker, hat jeden Tag auch ein bisschen gewechselt.
Kellner Georgios war sehr lustig und sympathisch.
Es waren genug Liegen am Strand verfügbar ohne Angst haben zu müssen dass sie die Deutschen wegreservieren ;)

Kommen gerne wieder!

PS: der gebuchte Transfer über Expedia hat auch super geklappt und war viel billiger als direkt über das Hotel. Bus war auch klimatisiert und ich konnte per WhatsApp die Abholzeit ändern, da wir dann einen späteren Flug genommen haben.

Don't deserve high points

The location is a popular holiday place with lots of hotel selection. The hotel is in the middle of a big sandy beach, adjacent to other hotel and bars. I experienced some negative events such as a dark room in the entrance level, almost no sunlight and noisy. The breakfast is unexpectedly disappointing because in Greece you have generally great breakfast. They ignore finished fruits and other things in the open buffet. There were spiders in the room maybe because we were in the entrance level, close to the street. They renewed soaps and champoo two times during a week. The internet connection was very poor, we can only connect in some parts of the room and breakfast hall. The connection was totally inturepted during a day. There was no signal at the beach of the hotel. I had to wait half an hour for an omelette. They close the coffee machine at 10:30 sharply so you need to rush and get up as early as possible to be able to have a good breakfast. The hotel service personels were friendly. There is a big parking area of the hotel.

Ensimmäisen yön huone oli todella kuuma ja seuraavana päivänä todettiin, että ilmalämpöpumppu on viallinen. Uuden huoneen saaminen oli vaikeaa ja kun se järjestyi huone oli täynnä lentäviä hyönteisiä. Sain respan miehen myrkyttämään ne. Missään vaiheessa henkilökunta ei pahoitellut tms. vaan koin olevani itse ongelma-asiakas. Hotelli on hyvällä paikalla, mutta muuten 3* arvoinen.

Min datter og jeg hadde et helt fantastisk opphold her! Servicen var helt upåklagelig, alt var rent og fint, og hotellet har svært gode fasiliteter. Elsket at hotellet har egen strand, og at solseng og håndkle var inkludert. Det samme gjelder hotellets spa-avdeling, som ga en fin opplevelse på et par dager med dårlig vær. Et stille og rolig sted som passet for oss som gikk tidlig til sengs, og står opp tidlig. Helt supre rom og gode senger. God frokost, men manglet merking på allergener, dette trakk litt ned.

Il soggiorno di sei giorni presso Elia Agia marina è stato meraviglioso. La struttura fornisce ogni comodità: camere ampie e sempre pulite, cambio giornaliero di asciugamani, teli mare giornalieri, e poi....colazione ottima e abbondante a due passi dal mare, spiaggia privata con ombrelloni (gratuiti!), vasca idromassaggio di fronte alle camere, piscina e parcheggio...tutto gratuito!
Inoltre attorno alla struttura ci sono market, farmacie, ristoranti e locali per ogni esigenza.
La posizione come base per tour nelle spiagge della costa Ovest è ottima.
Infine, non per importanza, il personale è sempre stato gentile e super disponibile per qualsiasi informazione o risoluzione di problema.

Buona vacanza

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana di giugno in questo hotel, posto molto carino e curato. Avevamo la mezza pensione, e quindi abbiamo cenato presso il ristorante alla carta, tutto molto buono (unica nota è che il bere era extra e non ci era stato comunicato in fase di prenotazione).
hotel dispone di una spiaggia privata e di un parcheggio comodo.

Sehr schlechter Service, sehr enttäuschend

Dieses Hotel sollte zum Highlight unserer Kreta Reise werden und wir waren voller Vorfreude aufgrund der guten Bewertung. Leider final sehr enttäuschend, der Service ist sehr schlecht und ansonsten wurden wir nicht gut als Gäste behandelt.

Die versprochene Flasche Wein und das Upgrade wurden ebenfalls nicht gegeben, angeblich sei man ausgebucht, in keinster Weise der Wahrheit entsprach

Als wir schon ihren wollten wurde uns gesagt, dass dies kostenlos natürlich nicht möglich sein und wir deswegen bleiben müssen. Ebenso der Freundliche Hinweis, dass wir doch beim nächsten Mal besser direkt beim Hotel buchen und nicht über expedia.

Lage von dem Hotel ist gut und das Frühstück auch.
Das sind die ganzen Nachbarhotels aber ebenso, von daher werden wir nicht wir kommen

Die Lage ist perfekt, direkt am Strand und nicht überfüllt. Man kann leckeres Frühstück auf der Terrasse genießen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Great hotel! Really enjoyed our 9 nights stay with my boyfriend. Beach at backyard that was very clean with free sunbeds to enjoy sun and swimming. Beautiful sunset. Our room was cleaned every day so nicely. I want to thank the whole staff for warm welcome and arranging everything for us. Big recommendation!

We stayed here for a week and had an epic time! Andreas and Manuel and the whole front desk staff really took care of us and helped with our needs - rental cars, excursions, airport transfers, etc. The hotel itself if a gem with a great beach front location. Great beach to swim in, with a life guard on duty nearby and warm clean waters. The breakfast had a fantastic selection and lunch/dinner at the hotel restaurant were also great. The sunset view from the hotel is amazing.

Ihana pieni hotelli meren rannalla

Ihana pieni hotelli aivan meren rannalla. Aamiainen monipuolinen ja siinä oli vaihtelevuutta viikon aikana. Meille sisältyi majoitukseen illallinen ja saimme valita listalta annokset ja illallisen pystyi vaihtamaan myös lounaaksi.
Sänky oli hyvä nukkua, huoneessa oli ilmalämpöpumppu. Hotellilla on oma ranta ja rantatuolit. Uima-allas oli aika pieni, mutta merivesi oli niin puhdasta ja kirkasta että uima-allasta ei tullut käytettyä koko viikon aikana kuin kerran.
Henkilökunta oli super ystävällistä.

Great accommodation

The hotel has a great location right on the beach .Staff was incredibly friendly and ready to do everything possible to make guests feel comfortable ,a good example of this was the delayed breakfast for us when they knew our arrival time .The breakfast was very good and varied .The rooms were clean and well cleaned.
I can really recommend this hotel to anyone!

War anstatt das Gebuchte Superiorzimmer ein Zimmer mit Badezimmer für Behinderte. Abgesehen vom dem leichten Krankenhausgefühl ist das nicht schlimm. Ich verstehe nur nicht warum behinderte Menschen keine Handtücher aufhängen müssen oder Schampoos abstellen müssen. Hier war im Badezimmer nichts dergleichen vorhanden. Der Service war gut und die Anlage schön. Personal sehr nett.
