It was a fine stay but there are a few small things that add up that you may want to consider.
The good things: rooms were a decent size and were nice. The location is just outside the train station. You are close to the beach and there are some good restaurants in the area. It is a bit of a walk to the medina but very doable.
The things that weren't great were all pretty minor but add up to the point where you might want to consider other options depending on the price.
You could hear street noise despite being on the 6th floor. The water pressure was low, If you have long or thick hair it will take you a while to wash your hair. There were long waits for elevators at times. The view? A vacant lot with a pit of water. We arrived at check in time but had to wait a few minutes to get our room... like I said nothing major but added together I would look around to see what other options there were.

Overall, this hotel has good value for money. It is modern, impeccably clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. It is in an excellent location in the city center, with many things in walking distance, including a large mall.

The complimentary breakfast was extensive, with stations for freshly made coffee, crepes, eggs, and Moroccan breads. The hours are very accommodating. I only had the room service beyond that, and this was delicious as well. A bit pricey, but that is expected for a hotel.

The main drawback was the front desk experience, which felt unwelcoming. A few occasions, I had the impression that my requests were an inconvenience. For instance, I was initially assigned a smoking room despite having requested a non-smoking room in my reservation. While a machine was used to reduce the odor, the smell of stale smoke lingered and made the first night uncomfortable. I had to request a change. Similarly, when I asked security for assistance with getting a taxi, the response felt reluctant.

Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel, with a strong standard. I would be happy to return if I’m again in Tangier.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hilton Garden Inn Tanger City Center. It was the perfect location, right in the middle of the city with close proximity to everything! It was really handy to have the mall right next door with a supermarket...The hotel itself was beautiful, very clean, modern, light and friendly and welcoming staff. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. I would definitely relate this hotel and would stay here again.

By accident we booked on the wrong day and this hotel has offered nothing - not even a partial refund. We booked for 2 nights and they could have easily refunded the second night. This is a terrible way to treat customers. The rooms might be nice and the location might be great, but I really hope there aren't any issues with your reservations.

Big room, great view (and even if you don’t get the sea view, I appreciate the wide windows. The first room I got, unfortunately, did not smell good as it seems someone was smoking in there despite it being a non-smoking room. The hotel quickly arranged to move me to another bed. The AC was not working and after two attempts was quickly fixed. Basic amenities (slippers, toothbrush, etc.) were missing but I was able to request them. Location is great, right beside a mall and walking distance to the beach. Also, walking distance from the airport bus which stops at the train station

Very disappointing stay. We paid for half board, but service and food presentation were poor. Staff argued with us for several minutes at check-in instead of handling it professionally. We did not get the Marina Bay view as booked, the bed was too small, and I had to sleep on the sofa. Overall, it felt like the hotel did not care about customer comfort. Not the standard expected from Hilton.

The Hilton is perfectly located. Right by the beach, train station and mall. The rooms were nice, however, empty shampoo, soap, and only 1 towel. We were placed in smoking rooms although our reservation requested non smoking. The staff all seemed.. grumpy, minus the attendants outside. When checking us in, they spent more time on their phone than checking us in. It’s not that they weren’t doing their job- they were. Several of the workers (front desk and breakfast) that we associated with just seemed off.

Disappointed with the overall service and maintenance of this hotel. We encountered dirty and missing towels in the bathroom, as well as visible mold throughout the shower. Elevator wait times were consistently 10–15 minutes when going to our room, the lobby, or the restaurant. Multiple guests expressed frustration due to the slow and limited elevator service, and there was no clear or accessible option to use the stairs. Significant improvements are needed for this property to meet the standards expected of the Hilton brand, particularly in cleanliness, service, and elevator operations.

Almost right next to the well designedTangier Ville train station which is super convenient for day trips to Asilah etc.. City bus, Grand Taxi and Petit Taxi are all available nearby.

The hotel is well situated in a lively area with a shopping mall. It is a couple of minutes walk to the beach. The late night staff on duty was very accommodating to my changing needs for check in; they even upgraded my room since I’d arrived so late. The area is very centrally located so I was able to sleep in and still make it to my train.

The manger named Sara was excellent with helping us when my husband and son had food poisoning by allowing late check out so that they can have rest. They say they have air conditioning, but our room was at 24° and they did not have fans to provide. It was very, very hot and uncomfortable.
The breakfast is phenomenal and delicious
The facility is beautiful, but they need to work on their air-conditioning
We asked in the morning to have them fix it or switch us or do something to make it better as we were checking out very early in the next morning and they came back with a solution at 10 o’clock that they could give us a free dinner when the restaurant closed at 11 and we were all going to bed at that point
Overall, it was OK. I won’t go again, but most of the staff was great and the restaurant breakfast was delicious

We had a great time. The staff were courteous, helpful and timely with requests. The food was tasty but it would have be nice to know that the dinner buffet wasn’t available on the weekend as originally explained. Prices were also reasonable. This property is conveniently located in close proximity to the train station (5min walk), it’s also around the corner from an extensive stretch of restaurants and other shopping. We were expecting a roof top pool but that was at the other location. Nonetheless the beach was very close but get there early on the weekends. It wasn’t as clean as I would have expected but not bad. The water however was spectacular. Overall I definitely would recommend this property.

Many restaurants along the way. A meeting point for tour pickups. Food at the restaurant/bar was good. There is an almost hidden restaurant next to it La Duquesa that is excellent. It is easy to miss but it is worth a visit.

The hotel is of a good standard and situated close to the beach and shops etc.
The room provided had a side view with a not so pleasant outlook towards a 'building site'.
The room was clean, bed comfortable. The only slight negative was that only one coffee and tea packet available (I'd be quite sure more would be provided on request)
