All staffs are excellent and helpful from front counter to cleaning etc. Breakfast is not my type of diet and skipped for my remaining days. Condition of hotel is quite dated. WiFi is at crawling speed. However, I can’t expect more for its location and pricing. Overall it is not as bad.

\"Disappointing Stay: Poor Maintenance and Rundown

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and adjacent to a shopping mall. However, it is in desperate need of maintenance as the condition is extremely rundown. The water cooler was so dirty that I didn’t feel comfortable refilling my water bottle. The fridge in the room was rusty, the bed was sunken, and there was no holder for the toilet roll. The shower curtain was makeshift, hanging on a rusty rod. The internet connection was painfully slow, and the presence of a different name on the signage made it feel like it’s no longer TwinStar Hotel. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my stay.

This is a very old property. The lift is small and old. The bath room is very small and the toilet is right in the front of the door. The WiFi is terrible, especially for iPhone (no signal at all). the location is convenient, but I will not recommend this hotel.

Location, Location, Location! Not the newest, fanciest or nicest of hotels but definitely the most convenient! Right next door to Taroko Mall which has everything - food court, Carrefour (kind of like Walmart but nicer), McDs, Starbucks, Daiso, movie theaters, lots of boutique shopping, etc. Also right across the street from Taichung Train Station. Numerous bus stops all around. All of the hotel staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. We were given breakfast buffet tickets for each morning of our stay and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The room decor and furniture were tired and dated but the bathroom and linens were clean.

The location of this hotel is excellent, but the facility should be remodeled because it is not clean, and the walls are not soundproof. You can hear people talking and the sound of a hairdryer. I couldn’t sleep until very late at night. When we came out of the elevator, you could smell something. After we went to the room, I could tell it was not a nonsmoking room. So we called the front desk, and they changed our room. The second one was much better, but you could still smell something. But their customer service was good, and they tried to help us solve the problem immediately. They do provide breaskfast, and it was not that good but acceptable. I can only rate them 2/5 overall. I will definitely not go back again.

The facilties are old and run down. Did not have a chair in my room. Does not use key cards. No safe storage in room. No cable tv and no English language tv stations available. No washes or dryers. Does not send out laundry. Have to walk down the street and do it yourself at laundramat.

Hotel was very run down and extremely noisy. It was reasonably clean. Unfortunately tour groups in hotel thought it was ok to leave the room doors open and all socialise right outside our door , which meant we got very little sleep as were very loud. Staff were lovely and hotel position was excellent.

Align expectations despite the reasonable price.

Should be a good hotel in the past especially in 1980s as facilities were from those days without upgrading. Cleanliness is ok but need to align expectation on the facilities conditions, for instance the hardness of mattress, the lightings, and the old furniture and furnishings. Young staffs assigned to serve hotel guests at level one are very polite. Need to align expectation on the dishes served during breakfast, especially on the consistency and types of breakfast.

However the room is .... esp the toilets !! Superrrrr cramppp and small. You do not have proper space to walk. You open the door, and the door is almost touching the toilet bowl already. If you are fat, you cant enter the toilet at all.

There also seems to have mosquitoes in the room, got bitten in middle of night.

Excellent location, just accross Taichung Station. Next to Taroko Mall, very convenient. And also about 8 minutes walk to Lalaport Mall. Room needs upgrade. Breakfast just ok, very little menu changes during 4 night of stay. AC very weak, maybe too old. So they gave us electric fan to use in the room, LOL.

the hotel is near the new taichung railway station, and just beside the taroko shopping mall. lots of food options and bubble tea shops around. we stayed in a triple room, there was limited space for 3 cabin size luggages to be opened up fully in the room. there is not enough soundproofing as we can hear opposite room traveller's chatting and children crying around. breakfast is not bad.

It is located in the back of train station, next to a nice shopping mall, and Within 5 minutes walk to the new LaLaPort mall. Neighborhood seems safe. Staff are friendly. Room has heavy cigarets smell. Staff try to get rid of the smell but in vain. Shower is not separate from the toilet.

Nice and comfortable but ....

Nice and clean place to stay and near the main train station and a large 11-storey w basement shopping mall.
Wish there is temperature control for aircon instead of just high and low. Also, i booked a non smoking room but smoke comes into my room from somewhere in the late night and early morning. Seems like i stayed in the hotel extension building above another hotel..maybe this is the case.

It was a pleasant stay, staff are very helpful. Breakfast was good if you stay only for a couple of days but for extended time there should be a change as you will get tired of the same food everyday. Lighting of the room is very dim and table and chair is very big for the room should change it with smaller furniture to give a bigger living space. Yes the bathroom, please put a shower curtain to keep the water away from the toilet bowl so it won’t get wet Its too messy.

1.The shower and toilet are in one common space. The entire space is wet after a shower. The wet marble floor becomes slippery. A safety hazard.
2. The toilet roll is placed in the cupboard far away from the toilet bowl. One must remenber to bring the toilet roll along before using the toilet.
3. The bottom of the window curtain ends just above the window sill allowing the street light to shine into the room on to the face of the sleeping person.
4. The furnitures are old

Overall a nice hotel, convenient, good breakfast, the only drawback is the bathroom with no shower screen slot, so the floor is all wet and slippery after bathing. There is only one small pack of bath gel and shower foam. No soap is given.

This hotel has a very good location. 7-minute walk to Taichung Railway Station. We took a bus from Taoyuan Airport and alighted at Taichung Bus Interchange which is just next to the railway station. Taroko Mall is just beside the hotel. Walking distance to a few tourist spots too.
Room was clean, daily breakfast spread was good (despite them being the same everyday).
Most of the staff were friendly. A shout out to Alpha Chua, from the front desk. Thank you for your patience and hospitality during our stay!

Good hotel near the train station

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in front of the main train station. The condition of the room is good and very clean. The only issue is the bed is too hard for my liking. The breakfast is good. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to take public transportation to travel around Taichun.

It is a good deal for the price we paid. Almost next door to the train station and a big mall with good restaurants. The top floor of the mall offers better upscale restaurants, the basement level offers about the same food at a much lower price.
The hotel room is fine. The beds are too hard for us.the breakfast is just fine. For a one night stay we will stay here again.

Awesome place to stay at!

Really close to the train station. Many shops nearby for good food and convenience. The hotel staffs are exceptionally helpful and friendly. My friends and I agreed that this was the best stay during our whole taiwan trip!! Rooms are very big but beds were hard. Breakfast spread was alright as well. There was an issue on our last day whereby there was a bad water leakage in the room. As there were no other room available for us to change to, we waited for the maintenance staff to come by but the hotel staff tried to help reduce the leakage only for him to get totally wet when the whole lot of water dropped on him. Hope he was alright! Didn't manage to get his name to compliment him but we felt really bad that he was all wet. He still tried his best and stayed on till the maintenance guy left. He then brought some tea for us which was really thoughtful too.

住過幾次，發現這次房間309浴室蓮蓬頭應該要換新
蝦皮有賣幾十元就能解決的，建議換新
有提供沐浴乳洗髮精，但是沒有潤絲精，洗完頭整個會打結，期盼可以升級。
另外，房間燈光太昏暗，LED現在都便宜多了，建議換新。
以上若能改善就太完美了。

위치는 매우 좋고, 스태프들도 “대만인다운 친절함”을 갖추고 있습니다.

台中駅裏すぐで立地は最高です。
ホテルは古いですが、スタッフも親切で部屋も広く快適でした。部屋には備え付けの横長のデスクみたいな台しか無いので、動かせる小さなテーブルがあればもっと良いと思います。買ってきた物を部屋で食べるのに少し使い勝手が悪かったです。
二泊しましたが、朝食は全く同じ内容でした。
悪くないですが、物足りない感が無くはないです。

１０年以上前に２度ほど宿泊したことがある。
その時の良いイメージで今回泊まってみたら、全然違っていた。
昔は日本語を話せる性格の良い女性がいて、部屋もステーションビューで、乗り鉄の我々にとっては最高の部屋に案内してくれた。
思わず北海道土産をプレゼントしたものだ。
トイレットペーパーはホルダーに装着していたし、朝食も品数豊富だった。
今回は日本語はもちろん話さない。
部屋は窓のすぐそばに隣の建物の壁。
朝食はおかゆとおかず少々。
トイレットペーパーは、その辺にただ置いてあるだけ。
昔とは全然別物のホテルとなっていた。
ベルボーイの動きは昔と変わらず良かったですよ。
