The hotel was good for the price I paid. The room was very large and clean. We were lucky enough to have a partial view of the Petronas Towers which I was happy about. However, the room did have some moderate wear and tear. The walls really needed to be painted and the bathroom had a leaky roof which the hotel did address. Despite this I was was still a good stay.

in addition to the original payment, they asked extra RM10 for travel tax during check-in. this should have been noticed during booking. Also to go to your room, you'll need to pass a long corridor in a shopping mall! reception and the entrance to the hotel room are far.

My 2nd stay. I got discount from expedia. Reasonablw price. However the hotel management can call pest control to overcome small cockroach in bathroom. I found 2-3 of it. So far, everything was ok for me.

Hotel is within walking distance for shopping

It takes max 15 minutes to the furthest shopping mall. Hotel is in the city centre, surrounded by street food & restaurants. Despite with weak room wifi, the hotel charges is within our means. We’ll be back.

Check in was a disappointment and I thought the staff who handled my checkin was unhelpful. I have stayed at this hotel before and the service and staff were much better.
WiFi was almost non existent in my room and the hotel did nothing to remedy this disputes me lodging a complaint several times.
Other hotel guess were very noisy and inconsiderate.
Overall I was disappointed in my experience/stay.

Not a good choice

Cons:
The hotel is in the congested area, and the WAZE will bring you to the wrong direction due to the complex road.
It is very noise at mid night, and suspected the immoral activities and public disturbance with a motorcycle racing. I coudn't get a good sleep.
The check-in time was disturbing and slow. I came over around 2:30pm, and more than 7 person waiting for check-in with their friends and families at the small lobby. I only manage check-in at 3:30pm.
No fridge.

Pros:
The hotel parking is free at the level 4.
The bed is comfortable.
The shower and toilet is in good condition and good water pressure.

Cleanliness is an issue but I clean the room after check in as I like the area and hotel. Too bad management does not keep up the interiors and cleaning as it can be a Gem of a hotel.
Stay at this hotel whenever in Kuala Lumpur for its location to restaurants, malls and trains. Front desk and coffee shop staff is an asset to this hotel with their excellent service. Had a TOO small of a room this time and not comfortable.

SHOE BOX room with Fan only looking directly into the next room on other side. Open courtyard in between the rooms and everyone opens their window to get cool air. Noise echoes into the room making for a noisy sleep. NO view. Bathroom is well situated and as large as the tiny room itself with two beds cramped in there

Convenience in the big City

Was stuck in elevator for 35 min with seven other guests waiting for an outside company to come to the rescue. I have stayed here last year on two separate occasions and booked three separate occasions this year. I very much like the hotel and staff. Housekeeping is a disaster and creates a negative image for the hotel which is not deserving. Dirty linen just thrown in the hall ways and left there most of the day. Cleaning of the rooms is very poor and careless. Every time you see the male housekeeping staff, they are simply on their cell phones. The female house staff seem to be more serious in their job and do a better cleaning. I had to clean the bathroom and the walls in the room due to food spots all over the walls distracting me when at the desk. Wish the Hotel would have a supervisor checking on housekeeping and room condition. This hotel deserves better.

Great Location

The hotel was clean and comfortable! Great proximity to markets and restaurants! It is very close to 2 light rail stops! I made good use of the Dang Wangi station which is 3 stops away from KL Sentral for trains to Batu Caves and other major train lines! It's also only 2 stops from KLCC for the Petronas Towers! Great location and the actual hotel has some old school charm!

Not worth 3.5 star - overall ok but not clean

For the price we are paying, the room size is okay, but it's not clean. Rubbish under the bed is not cleaned, cups are very dirty (there are chocolate stains on the cups even) and the staff are not very helpful. Overall okay for short stay but don't have high expectations.

We hardly find the check-in counter when we arrived in our hotel, it is located in a mall which about 100-200m away from the lift access to our room. The car park is terrify because it is dark and there is no gate or security, which means any random person can access to the car park very easily.

To go to the check-in counter from the car park, you have to walk through a lot of shop lots as it is in a mall, and ya with your luggage along that makes everybody in the mall know you're checking in, no privacy at all.

The check in process is really slow. The lift has no security or gate as well, anybody from the mall can go to the corridor of the rooms easily too.

The room is dirty, we find some watery sticky stains on the table...

Just Perfect in every way !

Just perfect hotel according to my taste. Very clean and modern rooms. Professional and friendly staffs are always here for you. The hotel surrounding is very good for shopping and transportation is easily available. I did not regret staying there as this is real value for money...I highly recommend first timers like me in Kuala Lumpur to stay there & you won't regret. Surely one of the best in KL !

I stayed briefly at the Grand Campbell Hotel. I deliberately booked four nights but actually stayed 3 nights because of my late night flight. I wish the hotel could have an arrangement for such situations. In this case, the hotel did not have a comfortable lobby or good waiting space so I just booked an extra night to be comfortable.

Overall, my stay was Ok. Generally, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I was mostly out and about, I know KL well and used the nearby monorail to get to wherever I wanted to go. The room space was small (judging from the other hotels I have stayed at) but it was clean. Because of the central location there is noise from SOGO Mall and surrounding activities, traffic etc etc. This is not the fault of the hotel but just something guests should be aware of.

There was one particular thing that upset me and made my stay less pleasant than it would have otherwise been. On the 2nd day, house keeping forgot to put towels in my room. I called reception 3 times to request towels and on the 3rd call I realised that the reception staff thought I was lying! that meant they suspected me of stealing the towels? why would I do that and call reception? I then personally went down to reception and made it very clear that when I came back to my room that evening there were NO towels in my room and immediately after I returned to my room, towels were delivered.

I didn't expect much when booking this hotel but overall it was okay.

It is located inside Campbell Complex (which I don't know when I book this hotel hahaha my mistake) and opposite SOGO Shopping Complex.

Bandaraya Station and Medan Tuanku station is within walking distance.

Shopping Complex
walking distance: SOGO, Pertama Complex, MARA Digital, Night Bazaar Jalan TAR, Quill City Mall, Maju Junction Mall, Semua House
walking or by Monorail/LRT: Bukit Bintang, Berjaya Times Square, etc

Since I'm always out for activities, the room is quite comfortable for me to rest and sleep in.

Limited TV Channel: TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7, 8TV, TV9, AL-HIJRAH and 4 channels from HyppTV (sports, news, cartoon, foxcrime)

Hot and Cold Rain Shower, Refrigerator, Hair Dryer, Kettle, Basic Toiletries provided

There is breakfast provided, but my room is without breakfast so I am not sure how good the breakfast is.

For muslim, sejadah and tafsir al-quran are provided.

When I book, it stated \"with city view\" but unfortunately the view I get is the tall building situated next to this hotel hahaha

Nice hotel with free city bus nearby

We are happy the hotel offer free baby crib, but their staff communication can be improved. We booked for a taxi to airport but it didn't arrive at all, the hotel staff either did not bother to follow up or there is lack of feedback when change of shift. We hope they can change to a better operator for transport service.

Reception service very bad not professional!! Not due document booking for customer whatever they said \"BECAUSE CUSTOMER HAVE TO MANY BOOKING\" BECAUSE CUSTOMER EXTENTION STAY MORE THEN BOOKING!!! May be they want stay just 1 or 2 day only if stay more then 1 week they don't like!!! And every weekend there have like racing car and motorcycle until nearly 5am in the morning can't sleep this hotel can't get 3 star hotel can get just 1 star only and really not cheap hotel for sure i know now!

Great location but too many drawbacks. Reception is a long walk from the lifts and only 1 operational for all 6 days stay, meaning long wait during busy hours. On my 2nd night I had to request to be moved to another room because the workmen started work (drilling & hammering) two floors below me at midnight.
I had to ask for bath mats and soap several times and no slippers available for the bathroom use. No bottled water in the room for two days until I complained.
Very limited and almost same menu for breakfast for six days, including rice, noodles, beans, scrambled eggs, white bread only. Only fruit served everyday was watermelon. No fresh juice served but sugary cordials. I suggest booking without breakfast and have a decent breakfast outside at a much cheaper price. I must say the staff was very helpful and pleasant but the hotel itself is not up to the game yet. Probably will skip it for the next visit.

Lousy Front Desk Service

We have booked total of 10 Superior Double or Twin Sharing rooms with this hotel (booking no: 131961439343 & 131961536751 - 5 rooms each), but we faced some problems during check-in day (14th Sep 2016) with unfriendly front desk service, e.g-
1) We clearly remark on request for twin sharing rooms during online booking make on 20th August 2016, but during check-in, the indian lady hotel front desk officer directly told us not even assign one twin sharing room for us without further checking, but after we stand steel with our request, then only she try to search some vacant twin sharing rooms for us.
2) All rooms booking are with breakfast but during check-in, we been told that some rooms are with breakfast but some are not, thus my colleague contacted me and request i talk to the lady officer, only then she said will check on this matter.
We are not satisfied with this service, other than that are ok for us.

My humble and sincere response for improvement would be:
1. When we called for extra supply of items eg. tissue, coffee, tea etc as the room was put to be on 'do not disturb' sign upon check-in, the service was either slow and completely ignored our request until check-out time;
2. 1 or 2 reception staffs were unfriendly at all giving a 'couldn't care attitude' OR too busy to care for those in waiting;
3. Lift problem was acceptable;
4. Wi-fi connection was poor unless on G floor. Other than that, room condition was okay albeit outer blanket for the bed was intentionally not provided or forgotten to be placed upon the inner blanket due to 'in hurry or urgency' for next customer OR either it was just the style.

The check in was slow. Short of staff to entertain guests.Other staff were busy with some things or other. The same happened during check out. Only one staff working at the counter.
However the hotel location is very good, right in the middle of the city. Food is also tasty.The overall room condtition is also good. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Nice rooms, bizarre layout!

Very odd layout to this hotel! You have to walk through a shopping centre to get to the lifts to the rooms. Such poor wifi we had to move rooms to get a connection (ask for a room on a lower floor to get a better reception). Rooms are nice though, just a little noisy as the windows aren't double glazed. Very helpful and nice Spanish lady on reception. Near to a great street food market.

Central gem with three train stations to explore

Great hotel with awkward entrance in a shopping center. Personnel were All very professional, courteous accommodating and helpfull.
Only gripe was maids leaving piles of laundry and trash right outside the room overnighto. For two weeks daily it was an unpleasant sight.

Although we had stayed here before we found it extremely disappointing this time. It was not as clean, and there was no hot water in the shower. But the worst was noise from motorcycles on the road below. It was impossible to sleep. We will not be staying again.
