Wish there was a way to show when the pool is closed. We had a choice of similar hotels - selected this one based on location and our family likes to enjoy having access to a pool during a vacation. The hotel needs quite a bit of TLC - our room cleanliness was okay but there as a bad looking white stain in the chair.

The amenities were really lacking. The pool was closed. The game room was closed and when we asked that the games be turned on, they said they would do it but did not. The expensive breakfast was awful. While the towels in my room were replaced with clean ones the used k-pods in the room were not replaced. We had to wait on a long line to check in since there was only one person behind the desk working reception.
The whole place just seems really run down.

The pool was closed. The games in the game room were off and when we asked about it, we were told they would be turned on right away ... they weren't and my 8 yo grandson was pretty disappointed. First no pool, then no games. In the middle of my shower one morning the hot water quit. The whole place appears run down and needs a good cleaning and updating. Very unhappy about our stay.

The pool was down for maintenance, which wasn’t updated on Expedia. Breakfast buffet was included, but they shut it down early at 9 AM when it is supposed to be 10 AM so we went without breakfast. When I made a mistake booking the wrong day I just wanted to change the date to the day before but apparently management didn’t honor it so I had to lose my money for the stay. It was a simple change for them to honor , it’s not like I was canceling completely. I had a family emergency. I don’t want to discredit two employees: Sunday night arrival , the employee was very sympathetic and tried accommodate my stay. Also maintenance man Chad went out of his way to figure out why breakfast ended at 9 AM and not 10am. He went above and beyond and gave my children a few dollars to play some arcade games . Although many of the games took my money and didn’t work . With everything that happened I should be credited something instead I was left with paying for two nights when I was there 1 night. I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back after this

The room was a little dirty and stuff smeared on the side of the beds and curtains, peeling wallpaper. The hallways were very dim lighting and smelled of smoke. Some sketchy looking people in the hall. The front desk associate didnt welcome us and didnt make eye contact and looked annoyed. The pool was out of service. It could be such a nice place if they really cared and tried to update it and clean it well. I can’t imagine anyone ever having a conference here. I definitely feel duped and unwelcome.

The hotel does not allow early check-in without an extra fee.
At first was given a room that had a broken outlet in the bathroom.
Then, when I was given the second room, I was not given the Wi-Fi information.
The hotel sends a text to say asking any questions and they will respond on the text. That is not so. I’ve asked about three questions and only received a response once.
However, the room is good and and clean. And has all the amenities that it was advertised to have.

We were told by the staff at the hotel that we could get a full refund if we decided not to stay which we chose to do. Breakfast is no longer free, but cost aboug $17, and it's no better than free breakfast available for free at other motels. There was too little seating in the lobby area, and the \"restaurant\" staff told us that we couldn't sit on the sofas in the \"restaurant\" area. Some of the ice makers were not working (we had the same problem when.we stayed herein October), so we had to get ice frim the \"restaurant\" staff who seemed \"put out\" having to help us. We will NOT come back to this Best Western again!!

This was our second stay at the Best Western in Kingston. We enjoyed it so much the first time, when we we're planning another trip upstate we knew that this Best Western was going to be the hotel we stayed at for the night mid journey.

We love the indoor courtyard with the pool and arcade, it bring a little something different and special to the hotel that if you want to get out of your room but the weather isnt so nice or you dont want to go out on the town its a nice little space to walk around and enjoy with the family.

Room was clean and staff was very helpful with any requests we had.

Breakfast now is about $18.00 instead of being free but I overheard staff say it was to deter theft from people not staying in the hotel...some people ruin things for the rest of I guess.

Maybe there's away to include it with the room and give people a breakfast pass. $18.00 per person is a lot for a basic continental breakfast of just bagels, yogurt and waffles etc.

My stay was disappointing. The comforter in my room was ripped in multiple places, which made the room feel poorly maintained. The staff rarely answered the front desk phone, and my key cards stopped working every single day—requiring multiple trips to the front desk to get them reset. The hallways also consistently smelled like weed, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.
Because of these issues, I decided to leave a full day earlier than my reservation was booked for. Unfortunately, resolving any refund for the unused night has been difficult and frustrating. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Check in time on our reservation was 3 pm check. We arrived around 4 pm and were told that Housekeeping was running behind and no room was available for us. When we cinally checked in at 5:28, there was no manager present and we were offered no compensation was offered for out inconvenience.
We were told at check in that breakfast was no longer free, but $17.98 per person When I showed them our Expedia reservation showing full breakfast, they gave us tickets for free breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet and was fair, but no better than the free breakfast at other motel chains. I would never pay $17.98 for that breakfast.
The ice machine in our part of the building wasn't working, so we had to go to the bar which was staffed only for breakfast and after 5 pm. As to the room, there was peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and stained grout beneath it. The TVchanger was like nothing I've ever seen before and there were no instructions. It took us hours to figure out how to use it. We asked to speak to a manager about the problems that we had, but were told that he was on break off the premises. We paid almost $400 per night and were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience of having to sit in the lobby from 4 to 5:28 pm when our room was finally available.
I have contacted Best Western customere service and told them basically the same.
I really feel that Best Western should compensate us for the unavailable room.
We will not use that Best Western again.

For starters, hotel room had roaches and at the indoor pool area/ arcade and eating area which was nice, others talked about roaches in their rooms as well. We were told free breakfast when paying and the day we checked in they changed it to no linger free. Also no coffee in the lobby, what hotel doesnt have free coffee available at the front lobby. Had to pay for the coffee, which was good but should'nt have had to pay for it. No smart tv's. Halls and rooms are all dark. All in all hotel needs to be updated. It's location is convenient as it is 3 min away from town, which has lots of dining options and shops. Would not stay here again unless there are no other options available in that area and still may not even if so.

Perfectly average hotel sufficient for our one night stopover. Kids loved the pool and arcade games.
