Room was ok less the filthy toilet shower and floors through out full room. You needed shoes to keep ur feet clean even in your own room. The entire building stank of smoke and filth and our reservation was somehow marked no show so when we arrived to check in it took 30 minutes for them on the phone to sort it out.

While the hotel is pretty nice, it’s clear they are housing homeless people. These people are slobs and they have no regard for the property, I feel bad for the shorthanded staff they have. We briefly went to the breakfast that was included, regardless of having showers in their rooms, most of them were a mess. We paid 220 bucks to stay at a homeless shelter.

The owners of the property rent rooms to what appears is a homeless shelter. The first night we arrived, there were four police cars in front and more officers taking info from one of the homeless guests that had been beaten.

The breakfast was descent, but I will likely stay elsewhere the next trip to Saugerties.

Lots of issues with people staying here! We got here and someone was being arrested- three cop cars and a horrible shouting matching between cop and man being arrested. People living here indefinitely, a UHaul with animals and family belongings behind the hotel, lots of sketchy looking people hanging around in front. Took 45 minutes to get coffee during breakfast time, ran out of food and only front desk working the breakfast too (and vaccuming). Way understaffed! Won't stay here again.

Saugerties has great restaurants. This hotel was mediocre at best. Stayed for wool festival in Rhinebeck. One of our pillowcases appeared dirty. There is free breakfast offered but it is limited. Breakfast area was dirty. There was no coffee and the worker couldn't get the coffee machine to work. The eggs and sausage were gone when we got there at 8:00 so no protein options were available. Tables had sticky food all over them and the buffet area was full of crumbs. We go to Rhinebeck every year and will not stay at this place again. $900 for two nights stay was ridiculous for this place. I should have looked at the reviews before staying there myself. My husband and I were very disappointed. Poorly run operation.

The rooms near the highway need the windows replaced. The traffic noise is so loud you feel you are along the side of the highway.

Well, I enjoyed my whole stay. Our room was clean, all linens were clean, the room was perfect. My back was not doing well at all. When I approached the front desk I was huffing and puffing even with my cane. The gentleman that was at the front desk took my info. He was smiley and soft spoken. I asked where to go for dinner. He explained. We were not disapointed at all. When we got into our room everything was great. I turned to go into the bathroom and I was surprised. I am sure the gent at the desk figured this room would be a plus for me. It was! The shower was a flat walk-in with a place to sit while showering. I have never used facilities like this. It was so nice. So I think that the gent at the desk decided to put me in this room for comfort. Thank you!! Well, breakfast was a good choice of food. Again everything was clean and orderly. The whole staff was wonderful. We are home now, but my back is still bad. Thank you comfort Inn. I am sure we will be back.

I like that the bathrooms and rooms were updated. The reception put us in a room close to the pool which was really nice. The pool was nice too, there were enough towels.

The hotel lost water when we were there, which was unfortunate, but the staff and crew were helpful and it came back on intermittently for the rest of our stay.

The only downside when we were there was that the breakfast was super limited (some pale burger patties and DIY waffle), the juice machine was broken, there was no milk or coffee creamer. The man in the front desk did not even care to look for a substitute, just flat out told us there was nothing. He just stood there checking his phone the whole time and wasn't really interested in giving people service. He looked like he hated his job.

The first room they had us in, the toilet over flowed on the first flush. Hair all over the shower and towels. They moved us to a \"better\" room. Well, better is a term that doesnt fit. Smelled of mold and ass. Did i mention there was no running water? Had to get water from the complimentairy jug in the front lobby to wash in the morning. The joy of coming off the road to these conditions is indescribable...i slept like a fugitive.on the run awaiting the next problem..goodtimes were had by none... avoid ar all costs..

There was no one at front desk. Other people were waiting We waited for over a half hour. I walked the whole property and no one around. Very insecure if I could take the elevator and walk floors. We picked up the phone and called both numbers that were left on front desk but they both went to busy. I also called the hotel number and no answer. We left. But every hour I called the property and no one answered. At 10 pm I got a call asking if I was coming. I explained I was there and they were not. The person told me 3 different stories of where she was. One doing laundry. I checked the laundry room. Next she said checking pool chemical. I was at the pool. There were 3 children with a women in the pool. Next she told me she was looking for kids running in the hall. I saw no kids when walking the halls. I would hope for a full refund. But she told me would have to speak to manager. Poor management lack of security

The shower was clogged the toilet flush was rusted so it kept running all night and we had to cobb it and then there was no water on Sunday morning when we woke up until 930 so you couldn’t take a shower We would not stay here again. The whole property smelled of paint and/or cleaning chemicals that were very offensive and uncomfortable.
The sink drain was clogged. The tub floor was dangerously slippery. The blow dryer didn’t work. We chose a king bed but were given two doubles. The price was outrageous for what this property provides.

When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk for almost 20 minutes. When I checked in and went to my room, I saw that the hotel was under renovation in the hallways. However, my room was fine. Unfortunately, when I awoke in the morning there was no water and I had to check out and get a refund.

The front desk service was very unprofessional and rude both at check-in and other times. At breakfast ( they offer continental free breakfast- they ran out of coffee at 9.30 and the guy at reception said: oh well that’s all the coffee for today. The waffle making area was dirty, with hair pieces being stuck to the cleaning spatula. There was no milk anywhere to be found at the breakfast station. Overall is a 2 star hotel with an 1 star guest service. Absolutely not acceptable. They charge $200 for a night and their services are terrible.

Very convenient location, right off the Thruway and close to convenience stores, gas stations, and dining options. The staff was nice, and the continental breakfast was good. The hotel smelt of Fabulosa, very strongly, carpets and furniture were stained, my first night there I went to go to bed, and the bedspread and sheets were dirty from the previous person. They changed everything at my request and I did not have a problem after that.

Paid $329 for 1 night. The tub had mold on it and the ceiling was peeling and falling down, bathroom had hair all over the floor and garbage from previous guest. The bed had hair (that was not mine ) in it and my husband ha to kill a bug on the curtains. The price for the next night was $143 so I asked to be charged that price instead, the girl at the front desk said the manager will adjust the price. I have not heard back from him. I have called the hotel over 20 times and no one answers

Vending machine and Laundry room was out of order for duration of our visit. They was no Coffee or Breakfast available. A Large majority of rooms were under reconstruction right next to rooms with customers. The smell of paint fumes and adhesives was overwhelming just walking to our room. Workers didn't take weekend off and were banging and drilling on Saturday and Sunday. Construction trailers were blocking half of the parking lot during our visit. Carpeting was torn and presented tripping hazards. Cold water was shut off initially as the room we were in had just been renovated... We've stayed at this location (since it was first built in the '90's) from time to time while visiting family and this is the worst hotel stay experience we have ever had. Will never stay at this location again. Management / Owner is totally clueless and should consider a different line of business.

It's an old hotel in need of updating. It's as clean as it can be given everything is old. There are clothes irons in the room but no ironing boards anywhere in the hotel. Plan accordingly. The grounds are nice and neat. The included breakfast is actually pretty good, too.

My review has nothing to do with the staff, they were all lovely. Even though my room was \"non smoking\" it and the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. The exit door to the stairs that lead to the side entrance was so loud when it closed. The air conditioner made such noise we had to unplug it. The handle from the toilet broke off the moment we touched it. The room was dingy and felt dirty. Paying almost $300 for a room that should be $89 is ridiculous.

The management needs to focus on the cleanliness and replenish the furnitures. My room was smelling mold as soon as I opened the door, some broken furniture, the sofa bed was stained and when I opened it I found a dirty sheet on it.
I am glad I always take my personal blankets with me when I travel. The area is quite and nice , the hotel is in perfect location. Hopefully the management will put more care and attention to it.

Upon arrival took forever to get checked in and girl at the desk was not friendly and then when I had issues took forever for her to come to counter. Received keys went to room and the bathroom was disgusting hair everywhere stains on walls it was obvious it never cleaned just made it look like they did with towels which had black on them and hair. Went to look at the bends and there was hair and blood in the sheets and the sheets had wrinkles it was obvious they weren’t changed. I went to front desk to complain and had to wait for girl to return. She came back I explained what was going on she had to call a manager that told me to leave my email I asked for what he said for someone to contact you he then offered to change the sheets I said absolutely not I wouldn’t stay somewhere that doesn’t changes sheets and clean he then told me I would have to contact Expedia who I booked through. Horrible and disgusting experience never again will o stay at a comfort inn.

I asked the staff who checked us in to give us a room far from the lobby because there was a lot of noise from children running around upstairs, but instead she gave us a room 2 doors down from the lobby. She did move us to the far end of the 2nd floor when we asked to be moved.
The bathroom door did not close in that room.
Breakfast had no juice, and the eggs were disgusting looking. On the other hand, the \"make your own\" waffles were good.
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

Poor value for the cost

The front desk staff were unfriendly and, in one case, completely distracted by taking part in a personal phone call (via earbuds) while I was needing him to do his job. Housekeeping was minimal at best, and one of the two beds in the room was so hard it was nearly impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep. The pretty front gazebo at the entrance is the prime place for pot smoking parties by the other clients and was a huge turn off for me. Other than a huge stain on the carpet, the room was clean.

The room was dirty, hair in the bathtub, one of the beds was not made from the last guest and there were dead roaches on the carpet. This place is not even worth $60/night, nevermind the $180 I paid.

Also had to have front counter kid open our rooms because the key machine was not working. FINALLY got our keys about 2 hours after we checked in.

Stayed here a couple years back, but it must have been right after a renovation. The hotel is now dated, and at least a portion of the hotel is being used for housing for lower income level individuals/families. Lots of smokers outside the entrance and in the gazebo. School buses make stops(pickups and drop offs) here.

As I checked into the first room, I was unsure if it was cleaned prior to my arrival. There was multiple stains on furniture and bedding. There was tissue in the toilet, making me believe it was used prior. The next room they gave me to accommodate me, was just as bad with stains. I open the closet to a bag of dirty laundry/towels stored in it. Hotel elevator floor was disgusting, your feet stuck to the floor. I had to book at a near by hotel due to the conditions of the rooms, I didn’t want to see a third accommodation would look like.

One of the light bulbs in my room was not working, 2nd room we tried had 2 Queen beds instead of requested King bed, the 3rd room’s window drape was stained, finally had to choose the room with no light in one of the appliance. Although the attendant did everything he could to overcome the situation. In the morning, the waffle machine was empty, coffee was terrible.

I will not return ever. Despite the service from the young man at the desk this hotel is disgusting. We travel with our dog and tho i can appreciate the fee for a pet the initial room was previously destroyed by animals. The furniture was in horrible shape. The room smelled of I dont know what. After speaking with the clerk he stated he could do nothing with the price but did offer an upgraded room. It was larger and smelled better but still not for the price.
To add to this all this appeared to have signs everywhere about not smoking. It would seem that onky applied to cigarettes give the overwhelming odor of marijuana in the halls and what wafted into the room.

DO NOT STAY HERE

This place is terrible. Do not stay here. Unsafe and dirty. It appears to have low income families living there. The price was $400 a night. It was so bad that we had to leave and find another hotel to stay. Travel sites and Comfort Inn misrepresent it as a regular hotel. No disclosure about the long term residents. After leaving I looked it up and found what appears to be fake google reviews giving it 5/5. Read the many google reviews that mirror our experience with this dump. It should be reported to the consumer protection agency!

After walking in and seeing many people loitering in the lobby, I immediately cancelled my reservation. I had my young daughter and her friend staying with me and to say I felt unsafe is an understatement. As I understand it, the local government is using this hotel to support families that don’t have a place to go. While I support that, that should be disclosed before booking so I can make an informed decision about whether or not I want to stay there. The lack of transparency on this point feels intentional and is disappointing to say the least. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel

We were given a room that hadn’t been cleaned for 4 days. The smell almost made me pass out. I had to leave and check into a holiday inn. I called my bank to dispute the payment. Hopefully I’ll get my money back
