This place is a bit of a ghost town. Management is absent from the property and the staff, while nice and well-meaning, can't confirm your booking or access your records at check-in. It's you to prove you've booked with your receipt. Then they have no idea which room you booked and you've got to look around the hotel til it matches the picture and description on the receipt. Staff were really helpful with luggage though.

It was close to the airport and could provide transportation to and from. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was first rate and really helped make the stay a good one. I would definitely stay in this property again.

Great hotel, great value, lovely people

I stay here overnight almost every time I come to Uganda because I need to travel from Entebbe to Mbarara, and it is not always safe to travel long distances over night. I've always been satisfied since staying here 2016 to the present day

I checked in quite late and the whole place was quite dark. It felt unsafe, like I was the only customer there. There isn’t enough lighting around the hotel. My room smelled quite damp and the bedcover looked dirty which got me questioning everything else.

The property is very nice and has so much potential. The room that we were given only had one towel, air conditioner did not work, no tv remote control, wifi didn’t work and the taxi that was ordered did not show up in the morning.

The hotel did fix all of the problems after moving to a new room.

The food in the restaurant was good and the manager was very nice.

Just a note, hotel shuttle is free only for airport pick up not return.

Over night stay

Just an overnight stay after arriving from airport in Entebbe. They sent an airport shuttle (car) to pick me up, and driver was nice and courteous. Hotel was clean, service was good and welcoming.

What I liked: The area is safe. The staff is very very polite. The room was kept clean at all times. I picked this hotel because it is very close to the airport. I think the Manager's name is James and I found him and his staff very helpful. The driver who picked me up from the airport also works for the hotel and he was super nice. His name is Allan.

What I didn't like: I stayed here for 3 days and for the first 2 days, I took cold showers because I did not have hot water. As it turned out, unlike in my home country where you have access to hot water 24/7, here they only turn it on when you ask for it. Long story short, house keeping came and turned it on for me. Come to think of it, I guess I should actually be commending them for saving electricity which is good for the environmental.

Our family stayed at Airport View Hotel for a week in January 2022. The staff was fantastic - very professional, and ready to jump in and help with all of our international difficulties - like arranging Covid testing, assisting when our Verizon Travel Pass failed to work on our cell phones, arranging a driver for day trips to zoo, Lake Victoria, shopping mall and - of course, the airport. Our two-room suite with private bathroom was upstairs - with private balcony overlooking beautiful manicured garden area - was spacious and quiet. Our family spent many hours relaxing on the open 2nd story patio area near Business Office. Air conditioning worked well. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful and I couldn’t get enough of the African Tea. Highly recommend!

The property is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is quiet and away from traffic and noise. Breakfast was full and good quality. The pick up and drop off at the airport was on time. There is a car and driver available when needed so that you feel safe if you are unfamiliar with the area. For UN staff visiting the UN Regional Center it is walking distance. There is a drop off service in the morning if needed. Overall I had a wonderful stay. This property is highly recommended. I had a very comfortable stay and will be staying there again should the opportunity arise. Great people too!!

The good: I called them and asked to pick me up at the airport at 230am, they said they would and they did at no extra charge. Check in was super easy.
The bad: 100 dead bugs around the bed, probably more than 100, I laid down a bathroom towel so that I could get into the bed and not have dead bugs stuck to my feet, no kidding. And, cleaning girls decided it's a good time to clean the hallway area at 7am, moving furniture, hitting the walls, it woke me up, I only been sleeping 3 hours. I opened the door and got angry at them. And, no hot water, I mean zero, omg, when was the last time you had a cold cold shower at 330am? The hot water heater was turned on and working but no water from the tank to the shower head... I asked them if I could leave one luggage there while I went for a few days, they said yes for 20,000 shillings a day. I found another hotel that kept it for free. Would I stay here again? Sure, if no other hotel was available.. BTW, I never saw any other patrons, I was the only one staying there I think, that's a clue.!!

The staff were attentive. The property is in a safe area, has a nice garden. The interiors are looking way too tired and the hardware does not match with the dark stain of the wood a brass or industrial pipes would fit better. The hot water did not work in my room, the shower pressure was weak that I had to use my the faucet/tap to cleanse myself.

For the last night we wanted to be close to the airport, the hotel staff was very nice and attentive, room was clean with good A/C, and the hotel is in a good condition too. I would recommend staying here if you want to be around the airport or have business to do in the Entebbe area.

The best option for Entebbe airport

There really is not better value or a better option than Airport View hotel for Entebbe Airport. Committed owners, constant improvements, additional rooms, friendly staff and very reasonable rates. We keep going back!

Without AC this place is boiling point.

AC does not work in rooms at all. I was boiling inside the room. I have asked to switch the room and it was the same. Bathroom is not properly cleaned, and looked dirty. I had 4am flight and wanted to take some sleep before leaving hotel but I could not because of heat. I won't stay there again. I told the reception guy about it and he acted like it was something new to him. Plus wifi is way way too slow.

I stayed here to be near the airport after a week safari. The room was clean but very dated. I let the hot water side on the shower run but never got the water warmer than cool. The front desk was very friendly and helped me find a driver for some errands.

The property is beautiful, but the ad boasted a \"lake view,\" but i would have needed binoculars to see the lake. It also boasted in-room internet, but we could never get a strong connection. The staff was very friendly and helpful and its a great location for its proximity to the airport.

My Flight came in late so I didn't get to the hotel until approx. midnight They gave me the wrong room I paid for Lake view and got garden party view. Noisy and kept me awake. The TV didn't work and I had to wait until the attendant brought the remote for the AC. Room was so hot.
Also there was only 1 shower towel and no hot water.
The staff was wonderful. Just the facility wasn't as described. Would not stay again.

No info about contacts for airport pick up or directions to the hotel. Info on Expedia said there was airport shuttle for pick up but didn't know how to contact the hotel for pick up. As a result I was able to use the booked hotel room for less than an hour and even then the TV was not working!

We booked a night here before our flight early the following morning. The staff were incredibly helpful in every way, the room was comfortable and more than suitable for us and our two small boys. The restaurant had a good, diverse menu and everything tasted fine - the only negative comment being that the meals took quite a long time coming.

Nice, clean hotel very close to Entebbe airport

The Airport View Hotel is perfectly located close to the airport in Entebbe. For the most part, it is pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful when asked questions. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the rooms were advertised as lake view. While the lake is close enough, none of the rooms sport a view on the lake. It is misleading and we made a slightly higher price. Otherwise, I would totally recommend this hotel.
