The hotel appears to be in a state of renovations with loads of new doors stacked against a wall on the 7th floor (where we were). Indeed our bathroom door wouldn't close- needs fixing. There was also an exposed plug fitting for a bedside lamp. The Aircon was non-responsive to temperature regulation, either off or very cold were the only options. Overall a nice stay as we didn't spend much time in the hotel.

It was overall a comfortable stay with very good services and staff. The shuttle was waiting for us at the airport. We just stayed overnight and left the hotel in the morning. One thing missing was that the breakfast was not included in the price (though we knew it when booking).

I enjoyed my stay at Ibis Styles. Housekeeping was amazing, as they daily kept my room clean and refreshed supplies without request. The WiFi was good also, but the TV was tiny and had some issues. The first room I was assigned had a bed/headboard that did not smell good, but the hotel switched me to a newer bed and headboard. While it was clean and fresh, the new bed was super firm and made for uncomfortable sleep. The breakfast was lovely especially the omelette bar! The coffee wasn’t the best. Surrounding the hotel is some construction so the views and walking in the neighborhood is not the best. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had an uncomfortable conversation with a porter in my room asking probing questions about where my spouse was and why he wasn’t with me. As a solo female traveler in a room alone with a male, that made me feel unsafe. Staff ought to be trained on professionalism as well as boundaries — I’d expect the porter to just put the bags in the room and immediately leave.

Aside that, it was great place to stay. I loved the complementary airport drop-off shuttle which operated every hour.

Personally did not like the property because immediately entering the hallway of the hotel I smelled mold. The rooms air does not circulate well either which made me feel congested I didn’t stay for more than 4 hrs before checking out the same day. I have severe allergy to dust and mold and I started to have watery & burning sensation of my eyes.

The property was visually nice when you walked in, but the Lobby was ALWAYS hot and humid. There was never air conditioning used there. The actual rooms were not really that nice with old \"goodwill\" looking furniture and peeling paint on the walls. The food in the morning was good. The staff for the most part was nice, although they tried to say I hadn't paid for my rooms through Expedia when I initially arrived and said my name was not on the ledger. I had to show her my name on the computer as she kept saying it was not. I also found out later they tried to do the same thing to my son and daughter in law when they arrived. All rooms had been prepaid. There were also a lot of men just hanging out and sitting in the lobby area all the time. The internet went down for two days straight so I had no phone service, nor could I connect my computer. The surrounding downtown area was not very nice with old uncompleted structures sitting empty next to the property. You could not walk around that area at all. So, to leave you had to have transportation or UBER. I would not stay there again and would have preferred staying at the nearby MARRIOT instead for a few more dollars a night.

The driver left to “drop someone somewhere” and was late returning for the 11am shuttle. I had a flight to catch at 12pm and check-in closed at 11.15am — and the driver arrived back at the hotel at 11.12am. It was pretty frustrating.

It was a pleasure staying here. The staff and the service are really what makes this the best place to stay. Each interaction was awesome, everyone was so welcoming, professional and friendly.
The breakfast was great, there was clearly some thought put into making sure that one would not be bored with the options. There is also a mall two minutes' walk away.
Finally, my room was cleaned every day and i felt assured that every effort was made to make sure everything was always clean.

Hotel rooms are tired and old and really need an upgrade given cost of rooms. Damaged toilet fittings and basin tops. Safe not working properly and wardrobe shelves dismantled. The first room I stayed in had a bad damp smell and I had to request a change which did happen but took over half an hour.
The breakfast buffet is very good with a good choice of local and European.
The gym is just below reasonable, with 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical, but all machines are very old. Limited weight machines. The pool is small and more of a kids size.

Outstanding for what I lacked for past 2 days which was surround wifi, working landline in the room for numbers outside the hotel, cool a/c, airport shuttle and personable nice staff everywhere such as at the reception, pool bar, gift shop and breakfast buffet. I booked a room for my husband and myself and was told I had to pay extra for my husband to have the free breakfast in the mornings which was an extra $20 a day and we stayed 5 days. The location was awesome we could have walked from the airport if we wanted to, the area was clean and hotel staff was sufficient and nice. They were really selective on the amount of towels you can get and how many days you had to wait to get fresh towels but other than that I would stay again if ever in Accra.
