Good value on Belgian coast

The Ibis De Haan is in a very quiet location about 1.5km outside the town and you can walk or drive to the beach. Breakfast is good with hot and cold offerings. We were lucky to have good weather and enjoy breakfast outside. The hotel was full and the staff worked hard to keep on top of everything - excellent. We did enjoy some drinks in the bar and had good information from reception about where to park in Bruges. The room was a little small for 2 with very little hanging and storage space and the aircon tended to turn itself off. But all in all, we had a good time. We didn't use the swimming pool bit it looked good.

Nice clean quiet hotel on the coast.

Quiet location, lots of free parking, beach nearby and forest walks. Very welcoming reception staff and free easter chocolate a lovely touch. Room was quiet, clean and spacious. However there is no kettle in the room, no iron and the towels seemed very old and needing replaced with better quality. Great staff all around and breakfast caters for all tastes, especially9 loved the make your own waffles.

The first thing that I find crazy is you are charged €15 a night to park your car. This is out of season and as a hotel guest I find this unreasonable and too expensive.
Hotel room was comfortable with a good bed but poor pillows. Great shower.
Corridor outside my room and by the lift with filthy from the time I arrived to when I left.

A lovely quiet hotel. A little off the beaten track and not on a main road. So I had a very good night sleep. The building and facilities were clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely use it again.

Very nicely situated hotel. In very nice grounds and good parking. Room a little small but no problem for the three nights that we stayed. Space for hanging clothes was not good. No Tea and coffee making facilities In the room which should be standard in any room.

This was our second stay at the Ibis, this time we came with our son and his fiancée. We all love visiting Belguim and I particularly like the ibis as once we arrive I can park the car up and use the local tram. However be aware it does require a brisk ten to fifteen minute walk, so maybe not for the elderly, also if you miss the tram you have to wait another twenty minutes until the next one and the stop is remote. We managed to visit Brugges and Ghent via Blankenberge on the tram and train and De Haan and Oostende by tram.

The hotel is nice apart from the price

An expensive hotel surrounded by static caravans which spoil the view. The pizza I ate was tasty and of a reasonable size, which it should have been for €15. Overall I have nothing negative to say, the room was large and clean, the shower was good but the price of the hotel and food is high considering it is in the middle of nowhere and the view is very average.

Enjoyable Short Stay at the Ibis De Haan.

Very clean, tidy, quiet hotel on the edge of De Haan, and close to the Sun Parks holiday complex. About a 10 minute walk through a wooded path to the Zwarte Keizel coastal tram stop which connected to the train for Bruges/Brussels at Blankenberge or Ostend. De Haan centre was about a 20 minute walk away. Good range of Belgian beers and acceptable food, although service was sometimes slow because at times (particularly in the evening), the hotel seemed to have only one member of staff running both the check-in desk and the bar.

Double charged and no refund one month on!

The room itself was ok, but the hotel staff are clearly incompetant and have no idea that an Expedia booking means you have already paid! Paid Expedia for this room prior to arriving and then the hotel charged my credit carf again when I arrived (I had assumed they just wanted the card for authorisation!).
I chased them up about this when j returned to the uk and they kept promising they would issue the refund the next day, or defintely refund, but one month on and their is no refund! I am now pursuing this through my credit card compsny to recivdf, which can take up to 8 weeks. In the mean time I am nearly £250 out of pocket! If these people ask for your credit card DO NOT give it to them!

L'Hôtel IBIS est convenable mais nous n'avions pas retenu qu'il s'agit d'un endroit où étaient admis les animaux. Les aboiements de chiens lors du petit déjeuner et du dîner, même si on aime les animaux, sont très dérangeants. En effet plusieurs propriétaires de chiens se trouvaient dans l'hôtel lors de notre séjour. Il en va d'ailleurs de même sur la plage à proximité.

Hotel was fine for the category/price. Room was clean and quiet, AC working well, ample parking spaces, personal friendly and helpful.

Food was not great to be honest. For breakfast I missed vegetables e.g. Fruit was provided but bananas were completely green and not edible.
Lunch or dinner was mostly just heated pre-prepped meals and priced on the high side for the quality.

I personally would have liked more shade around the pool and the garden area.

Ein wirklich sehr leckeres Essen, ganz besonders das \"British Breakfast\", allerdings mit 16 Euro ganz leicht überteuert und statt bis lediglich 10.00 Uhr, wäre es ratsamer es bis 11.00 Uhr anzubieten, da man sich ja im Urlaub befindet und ausschlafen will und sich erst noch duschen und anziehen muss. Die ruhige Lage und der preisvernünftige Parkplatz sind noch positiv zu erwähnen. Ich kann das Hotel insgesamt weiterempfehlen!

Prettige ontvangst bij de receptie. Snelle afhandeling van het inchecken plus het voldoen van ontbijt-, parkeer- en belastingbetaling (vooraf of achteraf keuze, vooraf betaald). Op de 2e dag geen schone badhanddoeken maar bij een verzoek aan de receptie 2 schone gekregen.
Wat wij jammer vonden was de geringe keuze (zeg maar geen) aan zenders op TV waar een film gekeken kon worden.

personnel aimable (tant que tout va bien, mais pas de réactivité en cas de soucis). Personnel de la réception pas toujours bilingue (c'est quand même un hôtel, pas la caisse du Delhaize, on pourrait espérer plus de compétences de ce côté)
- pas de couverture 3G (pas de la faute de l'hôtel, bien sûr), mais wifi non disponible le second jour dans la chambre, et aucune mesure prise par l'hôtel une fois l'incident signalé, donc isolement total. Pour un 3 étoiles, ça fait tache.

Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis (140 € OHNE Frühstück pro Nacht) für ein einfachst ausgestattetes Zimmer ist extrem unangemessen. Zimmer sehr schlicht und lieblos. Wir sind noch am selben Abend troz des bezahlten Zimmers wieder gefahren. Auch mit der Maskenpflicht im Haus wurde es nicht so ernst genommen. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Lediglich die fußläufige Lage von 15 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand war schön. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals war ok.

mooi hotel , alle comfort voorzien, misschien mogelijk elke dag eens met stofzuiger rondgaan, omdat wij een hond mee hadden en daar ook meer voor betaald hebben, je kon het aanvragen maar wel de dag ervoor, als je maar een paar dagen blijft, is dat moeilijk.

Le service au niveau du bar/restaurant et accueil était bien mais dommage que peu de personnes parlent français. La personne qui fait le ménage le dimanche n’a pas frappée et à ouvert la porte a 10h! A revoir sur le principe! La chambre au rez de chaussée était silencieuse. Le parking est payant! Néanmoins la terrasse près de la piscine est très agréable. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Hôtel propre et confortable (dans sa gamme de prix). Localisation parfaite pour partir en randonnée, moins pratique si l'on veut profiter du Coq.
Je n'ai pas vu en quoi une chambre supérieure est supérieure (mais comme je n'ai pas vu les \"normales\").
Le petit déjeuner est très correct, le personnel très serviable.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli et la dame le soir qui était à l’accueil, au bar, au restaurant et en cuisine toute seule était vraiment fantastique!
Néanmoins si vous restez plus d’une nuit vous devez prévenir l’accueil afin que la chambre soit faite mais cela n’avait pas été dit au checkin!
Il manque dans la chambre un appareil pour au moins chauffer de l’eau!
La piscine extérieure était fermée.
