Very cute Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing and safe parking in front of the hotel was just added bonus. We had to leave early ( for shuttle train back home) without saying proper goodbye to the owner. We will visit again.

I stayed with my two boys for one night at Hotel Butler, just outside Brugge, as part of our cycling week through Belgium and the Netherlands. The room was spacious and comfortable, with coffee-making facilities and a small chargeable minibar — everything we needed for a relaxing stopover.

The real highlight was breakfast — a proper continental treat with plenty of fresh fruit, juices, pastries, a great variety of breads, cheese, and even some desserts. Absolutely delicious!

This lovely small hotel, run by a friendly and welcoming couple, is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful countryside and visiting Brugge. Thank you for your warm hospitality — we truly enjoyed our stay!

I'm not usually the type to leave a review but I was more than impressed by what we met at Butler Hotel. This is a family run hotel and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. We were allowed to check in early which which was a big help to us. The hotel is incredibly clean and tidy. It's close to the road but still quiet inside. We stayed in a suite and my children fell in love with the massive space there. We will definitely be staying in the hotel again very soon. If you are staying a night or more in Belgium, let Butler be your choice. You won't regret it.

I have no words on how wonderful this property is. We stayed for two nights and LOVED it. The rooms are so comfortable. The staff AMAZING. The best breakfast.
Our next stop was Amsterdam, we stayed at the DoubleTree. The Hotel Butller could teach a thing or two to the DoubleTree. You guys are awesome.

The property is on a main road, not busy road. So easily found. The whole property is beautiful and cutely decorated.

They have a wonderful lounge area in the basement.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel Butler. We had a family room which was incredibly spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The hosts greeted us upon arrival with a big smile. They were very helpful and had lists of recommended restaurants around the area already printed. The breakfast was great and a lot of work and care must have gone into making little containers with all sorts of different nuts, seeds etc. They also had little glasses with cut up fruit that made you feel you were in a high end restaurant. Very impressed by this family-run property and I highly recommend you support them by booking your next stay here!

Hotel Butler - A family run hotel

Overall a very comfortable stay. The hosts are very passionate about their place and work really hard to maintain it. The room we stayed at was the family suite and the bathroom was uncomfortable to use since the walls curve in and we kept banging our heads on the wall. There is only one pedestal fan and for a person sleeping in an extreme corner its really hot. Since there is no A/c, we had no choice but to leave the window open which was very noisy since this hotel is situated on a highway. Apart from that breakfast was very good and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely little hotel near Bruges. Very comfortable bed, good size room and easy to locate. Quiet area perfect for getting a good night's sleep. Is rather out of the way with nothing much in walking distance around. However, if you are driving like I was it's the perfect place to stay. If the hotel was in a city centre it would cost 3 times as much. Would definitely go back there.

Felt like living back home

Hotel was nice, but felt quite a bit of pressure from the owner. On arrival we were given the tour of the room, with strict instruction. We were told not to use the child's bed in the room, not even rest clothes on it. We were also told to have our suit cases out of the way so it wouldn't inconvenience the cleaner. Afterwards it really reminded me of living at home with mum. There were labels on everything, 'please close door' was on the fridge for example. There were also instructions with the toilet paper, how not under any circumstance to flush it down the toilet. I did flush it down the toilet, and left pretend wet toilet paper in the bin provided. Neither of us felt comfortable leaving that behind. The shower, to use a phrase from Jeremy Clarkson, felt like an asthmatic was coughing on you through a straw, very, very low pressure. I had to kneel in the bath to scoop water onto my head to rinse out the shampoo. Overall I wouldn't not recommend it, but be prepared to do as your told.

This family-run hotel is excellent!
The rooms are very clean and well-decorated.
The breakfast includes home-made jam with bakeries ans bread amongst yogurts, fruits, nuts, cereals, etc. Extra points for the speculoos spreading paste. Classic buffet but very good! :)

The only minor minor default I'd mention about the room is the fact that my partner and I got jointed single beds. Other than that, really small, enjoyable and cozy hotel.
Big thumbs up for the couple owning the place (I forgot their name) they were massively helpful when we showed up around midnight without letting them know in advance (our mistake).
Convenient and quiet location if you have a car (or a bike maybe), you'll love this hotel either way!

Very clean and cute. Excellent breakfast except they were a touch rude upon our departure. Nevertheless I would recommend staying here. We had a car and it's a ten minute drive to the centre. Bruges is nowhere near as nice as Prague but very cute and well worth visit.

unpleasant. the owners were rude and racist. They probably do not meet many people outside of their country but were clearly displeased with me and my friend the minute upon arrival (the wife especially). we stayed the night nonetheless. the hotel photos are misleading - the sheets were thin, and the room was hot. the window only opened about 2 inches. After check out, I was making a phone call indoors due to the rain outside. the Male owner of the house rudely glares at me and asks in a harsh tone \"why are you still here, you've checked out, go. are you fighting with your girlfriend or something\" and proceeds to make his point known that he wants me out of the place. never have I ever met such unkind and disgusting people and been mistreated with so much disrespect and discrimination. please do not stay here. give your money to honest and good owners - but not these people.

Would stay there again!

Spent four nights there on recent visit to Bruges and surrounding area. Although out of town it was an ideal spot to drive into Bruges and Blankenberge (about 10mins drive each) and also to tour the surrounding area.

Room was really nice and spacious at the back of the hotel with a view over the fields and railway line (Room 48) and yes its on a main road between Bruges and Zeebrugge but noise was not excessive and was quiet at night anyway. Plenty of parking on site with more than enough spaces for all the 12 rooms.

Bart and Isabelle were wonderful hosts with lots of useful tips on the area (and the cheapest place to park in Bruges for the day!) and made sure that our stay was excellent and that we didn't want for anything. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice to set you up for the day.

My only piece of constructive feedback is to put some tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms :-)

Lots of the area we didn't see due to some poor weather at the start so would definitely stay there again when we return to Belgium.

Great little place just outside Bruges

This nice little hotel is located just outside Bruges which suited us as we had a car and there is ample parking available. We were pleasantly surprised that Bruges has a LOT of parking for a reasonable price (3 EUR/day) - even over the Easter weekend.

The hotel is small and cozy, the front facing on to a main road and the back onto some fields.

Breakfast was good - cooked eggs and bacon, pastries, cereals and cold meats/cheeses. A nice little touch was the chocolate eggs on Easter Sunday.

The room was comfortable - we were lucky to get a room facing the fields out the back so it was quiet, the beds and bathroom of a good standard. It's a 3 star on Hotels.com but I think it's definitely on the upper side of that rating.

The stay was very welcoming, cosy, with loads of nice decorations. Very quiete, and tasty and healthy breakfast every morning. Very convenient place as it has free parking outside hotel and close by to Brugge aswell as very easy to get to Ghent. Also there are a big supermarket close by where you can get loads of gifts for less than in the city centre. Owners are really nice too, they gave us advice on parking in Brugge and in Ghent which costs 3 euros for whole day. Also they suggested many places to visit and they were very welcome to help us with any query we had. One of the best hotels we ever been.

positives: Hotel was very nicely decorated (modern homey) , very comfortable and clean. Hosts were very pleasant was knowledgeable about the area and brudges. Free parking. I really enjoyed how they did up the place - felt very comfortable and with character, yet modern (but not too modern that you lose the character).

Negatives: In the middle of no where so will require car otherwise would be inconvenient to get to. No tea and coffee facilities in the room (seems to be common in Belgium tho) and no on site dinner (hence car is important).

We planned a trip to visit Blankenberge and Bruges! The Hotel Butler is ideally located between both, if you are driving, and offers free car parking! A lovely family run Hotel, we had room 48 at the rear of the hotel overlooking farmland which was very quiet! The room was very clean and spacious! We stayed for two nights 11th and 12th June 2014 before moving on! My wife particularly enjoyed the decor! Isabella and Bart were very friendly, and gave positive advice on local restaurants, and a useful map of Bruges, and where to park for 3.50 euros a day, in Bruges and get a free courtesy bus into the centre! A great help! We would certainly stay there again! Thank you!

Off the beaten path, but convenient!

I chose this hotel because it's in between the heart of the city and the sea and knew I'd want to see both. How glad my frien and I were go get away from the hustle & bustle of the crowded city to the quiet of the country just a few minutes and miles away! We took a cab but could have saved quite a bit had we known it's right on the bus route from Central Station with a bus stop almost directly in front. We did take the bus to the sea and back to town when we left. The host and hostess were very helpful and have done an excellent job in decorating both the open spaces of the hotel as well as the rooms (assuming all are as nice as ours was!) The breakfast was more substantial than others we had in a lovely dining room. I'd definitely stay there again if ever back in the Bruge area - but save money and check out the busses!

Ik heb met mijn gezin 2 nachten bij hotel Butler geboekt. Ontvangst was warm en de eigenaren waren erg vriendelijk. We werden naar de kamer begeleidt en er werd het e.e.a. uitgelegd. Het ontbijt was vers en goed, ruime keuze. Aan tafel werd gevraagd wat wij wilden drinken.
Omgeving is niet echt bijzonder, maar we zaten heel dicht bij zee en de stad Bruggen. Minpunt was dat onze kamer aan een drukke straat gelegen was en dat er geen airco is. Het was erg warm op de kamer.
Voor doorreis zeker een aanrader!

Hier ist alles bestens. Das Hotel wird von einer unheimlich netten und hilfsbereiten Familie geführt.
Deutsch und Englisch sind beim einchecken kein Problem. Man bekommt eine Umfangreiche Liste mit Gadtronomieangeboten in der näheren Umgebung, welche sehr nützlich ist, da es im direkten Umfeld des Hotels leider keine Möglichkeiten zum Ausgehen gibt.
Die Zimmer sind groß und mit bequemen Betten ausgestattet. Es gibt deutsches Fernsehen und eine gut ausgestattete Selbstbefienungsbar im Untergeschoß.
Für Raucher gibt es einen kleinen netten Balkon.
Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und von top Qualität. Am besten waren die Joghurts!
Kostenlose Parkplätze sowie eine Bushaltestelle mit Fahrtmöglichkeiten zur Nordseeküste sowie nach Brügge sind auch vorhanden.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Goed ontbijt,, Mhr van de incheck /eigenaar was beleefd, in tegenovergesteld mevr de eigenares was niet zo aardig. Beetje snauwen en momperen. Ze ging ons op attenderen dat een vork niet op de juiste bord lag, en ook dat we de laatste waren bij het ontbijt. we kwamen aan on 9.55 en ontbijt was tot 10.30. Dus ruim op tijd zo je zeggen. Ook is geen enkele keer gevraagd hoe we hadden geslapen of zo iets. Bedden waren met verenmatras waardoor veel last van onze rug en nek gekregen. Dat aangegeven bij de receptie, en toen werd een ander matras boven op de oude gezet maar dit heeft ook niet geholpen want het was precies hetzelfde als de oude. Verder onmogelijk om te slapen door de vele lawaai van het verkeer. De zeer drukke 24/7 autoweg lag 20 meter van de slaapkamers, waardoor dag en nacht hardrijdende auto's, tractors, motoren en veel ambulances en politie met harde sirenes voorbij kwamen racen. Ook vonden wij dat meer een b&b was dan een hotel. In en hotel wonen de eigenaars niet boven je slaapkamer neem ik aan. al en al voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Die beiden Inhaber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und die Unterkunft sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

Rapport qualité prix imbattable.

Hôtel formidable. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement gentils, à l'écoute et serviables. Les chambres et l'hôtel sont décorés avec soins, très propres et la literie est trés confortable.
Le petit déjeuner est varié, très copieux et ravira autant les becs sucrés que les becs salés.
Bref, un séjour inoubliable qui en appellera certainement d'autres.
Peu d'hôtels ont un aussi bon rapport qualité/prix.

Nous sommes ravis d'avoir séjourné de ce très bel hôtel situé à moins de 10 min de Bruges. Les chambres sont spacieuses. C'est propre, calme et le personnel très agréable et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner était parfait... Varié, de qualité car beaucoup de produits faits maison. Très très appréciable.
Nous ne trouvons absolument rien à reprocher ! Merci !

Un rapport qualité-prix imbattable

Un accueil chaleureux et en francais. Le charmant couple qui gère l'hôtel parle parfaitement plusieurs langues, le petit déjeuner est excellent et offre un très large choix, meilleur que dans beaucoup d'hotel 4*. De plus la literie est au top, nous avons eu un lit king size. Bref un séjour parfait à quelques minutes de voiture du centre de Bruges.

Hotel met allure

Gastvrouw en gastheer waren zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij en behulpzaam. De kamer was prima in orde, fijn uitzicht. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en heerlijk en goed verzorgd. We gaan zeker nog een keer terug als we in de buurt zijn.

L'hôtel, une bâtisse sinistre au milieu de nul part, au bord d'une route fréquentée jour et nuit.
La chambre, spacieuse, ne mérite meme pas une toute petite étoile. L'équipement est inadaptée, dépassé, nul. N'en parlons pas du service et des produits que tout hotel, même ceux sans étoile, mettent a disposition dans la sale de bain, pour l'hygiène...ou bien l'équipement dans la chambre datant des années 50...
