The two best things about the hotel are the staff and the LOCATION. It is perfectly situated across the street from Gare du Nord. Multiple transportation options!! The people were very helpful. The condition of the building and the rooms is not ideal.

The hotel was very convenient for Gare du Nord, Paris and it was clean. The room and bathroom were spacious and there was a lift. However, for a \"superior double\", it was very basic. There was no feeling of luxury, there were no tea or coffee making facilities and there was only one small pillow each. We did not have breakfast.

Very old and felt mould in the air! The breakfast is in another hotel and you had to walk there (it is cold in November!). No slippers provided and we were told to keep the shoes inside! Extra star for tiding the room in the mornings (no changes of the sheets, just towels). No kettle in the room or water jug, nothing.

the room 36 and bathroom were spotless,bed made every day,towels changed every day,bathroom looked as though new,the wardrobe claen and large with secure safe fitted.
I sleep with a torch under my pillow and it fell down the back of the bed and I had to retrieve the torch from under the bed,the cleaners have not cleaned under the bed for somewhile,not seen but should be done but apart from that was good in that room and staff very friendly and helpful,24 hour front desk is manned.A 100% bonus this hotel is directly opposite the Gare Du Nord rail station where you arrive on the EUROSTAR........ Their breakfast was not for me,you have to leave the hotel and walk around the corner to find the place and go downstairs and lets leave it at that but not for me or my companion but plenty of eateries nearby. would I return , yes 100% worth more in my opinion of a 2 star.

The room was extremely small, felt more like a box than a proper accommodation. There was no kettle or no fridge provided, which made the stay quite inconvenient. The shower has no curtain, so whenever someone used it, the entire bathroom became wet and slippery-posing a safety risk.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend stay overnight here.

To no fault of the hotel, we experienced some concern during the September 10 strike. Upon leaving the property, tear gas was deployed nearby to disperse crowds, and police had barricaded the train station entrances across the street. The surrounding area also appeared to have frequent drug activity, so I would advise caution when walking alone at night.

That said, our room was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff were friendly and attentive. The location next to a major transit hub comes with certain safety challenges, but the convenience of easy access to transportation was a significant advantage.

It is directly across from Nord Gare train station to get to the airport. Good option for the end of your journey and you have an early flight the next day.

Otherwise, it is not a great neighbourhood. The hotel is no frills and wifi in the rooms is very weak.

The room was very clean and the cleaning staff was great. The reception spoke fluent English without a smile, but was efficient.

Great location and good value for money.

The room is basic and small, although generally speaking this tends to be the norm with Paris. The room was clean with a great view, and the balcony was a particularly attractive feature, providing great views of Gare Du Nord. Some visitors complain about having to leave your key with reception when you leave the room, but I find this quite useful - you cannot lose your key!
The breakfast is basic, so make sure you are down early or there may not be a great range of food items left.

Staff is good. Had a problem with parking. They have paid parking only for compact cars, which i was not aware. If they have mentioned it already, then it would be my problem not to check while booking.

Though the hotel is good, because of the location, too much smoke smell on stairs. Though hotel is trying their best, because of the location, it cannot be controlled.

Very busy and lively and access to many restaurants and mainstream fast food restaurants if that’s your preference. Doesn’t quite give the Parisienne feel long term stay, but for a shorter stay it’s fine.

We booked here because it was across from Gare de nord and we were catching the Eurostar. This is not a fancy hotel and no extras but what you pay you get a clean comfortable room and a very nice renovated bathroom. There is a small elevator and there are many places to eat nearby. We stayed somewhere else when we visited Paris and I wish we had stayed here it is a lot closer to everything than we were. I would definitely stay here again.

Creepy but basic to the bare bones. Sensored light system with lag so you walk in the dark. Very creepy. Extremely rude front desk except for the young Indian man. Located across the street from a main train terminal. If you decide to stay there, ask for the rooms with the renovated bathroom or else you’re screwed if you’re taller than 5’7”. The only positive thing about this property is they offer AC. We were desperate as there was a heat wave the week we were there.

I was here for 1 night only. We were leaving on the Eurostar to Brussels the next day so I was looking for a nearby hotel to the train station. The bed was the best in my 15 day Europe vacation. It was huge, it felt like 2 queen beds side by side and it was the comfort I like. We were on the 2nd floor with a big balcony over looking the train station. We were directly in the Richmond letters spelled out. Our bathroom was a good size. The room itself is dated, but location and bed was great. Tons of restaurants and cafes to walk to. Metro super close and train station right in front. With the windows closed I didn’t hear any noises from the street, which was a good surprise.

Perfect location across from the Gare du nord and easy walking to all the main sites. Was noisy, guests not considerate when returning early hours of morning and on a busy road. Breakfast is served in the new hotel around the corner which would recommend paying for. We ate on an evening in the restaurant next door which was also excellent. This is a budget hotel but we were happy with what we paid to be in Paris.

Quaint rooms with an extremely close location to Gare De Nord train station. Lots of restaurants in the are, but it is touristy. Pleasant and very cute. Nothing fancy, but we stayed for 4 days and had no issues. You are required to leave your key at the front desk each time you leave, but there is an attendant always at the desk. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, the rooms are very small but it was the perfect place for us as a couple.

Staff the at night that got me out of the bathroom was very friendly and nice also the one at the B’fast, I gent to the bathroom I only close the door and the lock can’t not open it I was lock for mor the 1/2 hour was super terrible I was screaming, kicking the door till the dark skin men help me he was super worry trying his best to get me out he went and got help from the handy men.
I never receive apology from the manager.
Also to mention the room door was not opening also one day wen o try to get in, no big deal but they need to add better locks!!

Good hotel for price!

I was really worried about this hotel after reading the reviews however ignore those that rate this a bad hotel. For the price i was impressed, larger than imagined room and bathroom. Hot water whenever. Room clean and serviced with fresh towels every day. Location brilliant walking distance from Monmartre and Pigalle. Opposite Gard du Nord, seconds from Metro. Loads of restaurants and take aways near by. Only downside was the bed which was hard but i slept well and it was quite. Also had to hand room key in whenever you left hotel but rooms have a free safe. No issues with feeling unsafe at night, area is busy but so is the whole of Paris!

Ideal for a long weekend in Paris. Conveniently located right in front of Gare du Nord, so handy when arriving on the EuroStar. The double room was large, comfortable and clean, with a large shower which I fitted in given my height. It was nice to have a small balcony. The only issue was the Internet was down for the whole time I was there, so I had to do online work from a café next door, which wasn't ideal, but it wasn't the worst. All in all, I'd stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was easy to find, right across from the Gare du Nord, very well located. The room was very clean and had A/C! Bathroom was very clean as well. The area around the hotel looks a bit sketchy at night but there were no issues at all.
Staff was great and they sell some drinks in the lobby. It also has an elevator!

One negative factor was the group of men who would constantly be outside the hotel just standing to the side. At times they would block the entrance to the hotel which didn’t make my group feel safe. Other than that, from the doors in, we felt safe.

Vibrant neighborhood; many varied dining choices; convenient for public transportation; reasonable rate; beds comfortable and room, though tiny (as is perhaps to be expected in Paris), was warm and well-appointed.

Immediately outside the property it constantly smelled of urine and litter was often present - I imagine it's an endless battle being across from the train station, but no effort at all seemed to be made. Lobby and elevator often reeked, too.
Room was not ready for us when we arrived, despite being over an hour beyond check-in. Front desk was not aware of the situation till we mentioned it. (\"My computer says it was cleaned\", the guy at the desk said, clearly not about to take responsibility.) We had to leave and wander around for an hour after our ten hour overnight flight before we could unwind in our room.

The shower was door-less and the drain extremely slow, so we had to continually turn off the water and wait or the entire room flooded.
Twice when we returned the door was locked and we had to knock and wait before gaining entry, and room turn-around sometimes wasn't completed yet though we were returning to it late in the afternoon.
Bottom line is that they seem to be understaffed, but once you get into your clean room it's comfortable, and it's great to be right next to Gare du Nord metro station.

Was given a room with a window about one metre wide and one and half metres high, overlooking a beautiful wall two or three metres away. Went back down to tell the male receptionist that I had booked a room with city view. He told me that I was paying so little and city view rooms were a lot more expensive!!! I showed him my Expedia reservation. I then proceeded to explain how hotels will give certain travel agents special rates which will enable them to fill vacant rooms during quiet times, thus assisting to increase their occupancy rates, which sometimes will decrease their average rate but overtime will increase their overall revenue. Not sure he was convinced!!!

Came from Texas. Hotel is average, bed was kinda hard and pillow not comfortable but not terrible. Front staff can converse in English. Great location to Gare du Nord/Gare de l’Est, which are major train stations. Good cafes/bakeries near by. Rowdy area of Paris so be aware of surroundings. Stores can’t sell alcohol past 5 pm which was a bummer but overall a good 3 nights in Paris. Would visit again!

Location is perfect. Front end jeramy was so helpful but he is limited. Room air conditioned was not working properly, too hot for our family and we couldn’t sleep well. Hair dryer keeps on turning off after several minutes of use, when the dryer is working, the air conditioner will turn off. They are controlling the electricity. Family room is too tiny for our family of 5. Will not come back to this hotel.

when i checked in everything went smoothly, until i went to the room and it was still dirty. they then switched me to a clean room but it wasnt the right room we booked unfortunately, so i had to wait 30 minutes for them to clean my room. when i came back, the room was cleaned but i put the sheets up and there was blood stained on the blanket. asked them to wash my sheets and they were difficult. other than that the room smelt disgusting, shower head was broken. its fine for the price

Good for a quick stay for the fearless!

What they don’t tell you is that this hotel is in a very sketchy neighborhood. Be prepared to be dodging drug dealers, pick pockets, and other sketchy people looking to get one over on you. Below the hotel is a rundown abandoned restaurant that is boarded up with homeless people sleeping in front of it every night. Then every day I was there, I had to pay additional taxes that were not communicated in the Hotels.com booking. I gave hotels.com my credit card expecting to be paid in full. Then when you leave the hotel, the front desk clerk will not let you take your room key with you. The architecture is nice. The room was comfortable, decent size for a small room. And the bathroom was fantastic! It was very clean, and had a great rain shower head.

One front desk staff person was not very friendly—gave us incorrect information about bus schedule and when I pointed that out to him, he started arguing with me instead of apologizing. (The other staff were nice.) Our room was cleaned very late (one day at 5pm, when we had already returned from our trip around the city). Breakfast was not included, and to get it, we had to walk around the corner to a different hotel.
