Excellent location for catching the tram into Bruges or walking to the beach. It was very busy with a holiday weekend, lots of guests, & a private party. They were very short staffed & at times the staff were running. Be sure to ask how the lights work before heading to your room.

Hotel Stay for Christmas Market

We booked here to go to the Bruges Christmas market, the hotel was approximately 30 minutes in a taxi and the hotel were kind enough to order one for us, it cost about 60 euros which we didnt think was too bad. Breakfast was really nice and you also get free hot drink facilities for the duration of your stay , overall a really nice hotel!

In my opinion this hotel is seriously overpriced. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice good quality , hotel, pretty clean and cozy, but to pay 180 euros a night for a stay at a place that is an active construction site (as of June 2023) is a little too much. At check in we also were offered to pay over 80 euros for a breakfast for our family of four which we refused. Come on people, in the current situation could you at least offer complimentary breakfast?
The room on the fifth floor was little but cozy, the balcony was very narrow, maximum for two people at a time. The promised “harbor view“ which was the main reason why I chose this hotel was non-existent (please see the picture of the view from my balcony)- we could see some part of the harbor only if you lean far over the balcony rails with your head turned to the left and neck super stretched.
The area is nice- with several dining options, grocery stores and the beach at a walking distance. To be fair I need to mention that customer service was quite friendly and there was a complementary coffee machine in the lobby and a nice outside playground for kids.
Generally speaking I regretted booking this hotel. For the lower price you can have so many other options, possibly without “harbor view”, but with breakfast included.

Hotel is just about 5-7 minutes walk to the tram station. It's clean. What disappoint me is that there is no kettle in our room. They have a coffee machine near the reception but it wasn't working. They gave us free coffee and tea when we tried to buy in the bar. But as an english person who lives with tea, we still prefer to have kettle in our room than microwave.

It is a very excellent hotel. The staff and manager were exceptional. We had a problem with the booking, made through hotels.com; we booked 2 rooms but only one showed up on the reservation list of the hotel. The manager not only managed to accommodate us but went above and beyond in doing so. She was also very nice to help us with suggestions as to other places to dine.
The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The breakfast is terrific. The hotel location is great, a 5 minute drive to the beaches and 20 minutes or so to Brugge. Just a great hotel in every way.

Great public spaces. Varied room quality

The hotel has two different faces.

The pretty face. Great public areas, outside pool is of average size but nice and warm and is a sun trap. The inside pool has a classy look, is nice and airy and has plenty of space around it. The bar is small but the seating is light and airy. Theres a nice kids area tucked in the corner with building bricks, colouring, TV, chess and board games.

The ugly face. We had two rooms booked, both were two bedroom family suites with kitchenettes. I am not sure what the point in the kitchenette is, as there were no kettles or tea / coffee making facilities and no glasses to even have a drink of water. Cutlery and plates etc were also non existent. The hotel seems new and unfinished. In one of the rooms the skirting boards were either falling off or missing. Once moved to a different room we found boken tiles at floor level which were dangerous for childrens little toes. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and we could not be moved again.

Location is great. Amazing fish restaurants across the road and a supermarket and tram stop to the right hand side when walking out.

If the room consistency could be sorted out this would be a nice place to stay it is just hit and miss at the moment.

Great hotel

Beautiful hotel within short driving distance of Brugge. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The pools are really nice too.
Only complaint is the lack of kitchen amenities (which is mainly my fault for not reading the description more closely). There's a small fridge and a microwave, that's it. If you're aware and plan accordingly, you can still have a cold breakfast in your room, so it becomes a non-issue.

Nice hotel in very industrial area. Construction ongoing connected to the hotel and some confusion with parking area (paid parking) but this did not disrupt the stay. Comfortable bed. Windows that open to enjoy breeze. Walkable to beach but about 25 minutes. I would return to this hotel.

The property is currently a building site with a major expansion to the hotel on going.
The smell in the bathroom from the drains is horrible.
The food in the restaurant is reheated, I have no idea when it was prepared but the overall quality of the food is very poor.

The staff are the one having grace of this hotel - very efficient and friendly.

The room the advertise wasn’t the room I got. It was cramped. The furniture was cheep and no comfortable at all.... the drain in the bathroom smelt disgusting, the staff was nice but one was always rude. We ordered food that didn’t even get cooked properly. The room heat didn’t work so they gave us a plug in heater that wouldn’t even heat the bathroom! Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in breakfast and parking was extra 16 euro a person and wasn’t even worth it!

Overall Experience Ok but Soured by Bad Check In

Overall, the experience was great, but the stay was soured by a very bad check in experience. This is made more disappointing considering that this is a branded chain hotel. Here’s how it came down. At check in, I was told that the sofa bed will be made up when we got to the room. When we got to the room, the bathroom had a distinct smell of poop. Good thing that we had a bathroom spray. After 20 minutes of waiting for the bed to be made, we just decided to go down for dinner. We notified the front desk and the agent acted surprised that it wasn't made yet. I also called out the smell and the fact that there were only 2 towels when we were 5 in the room as reserved and paid. After dinner, we discovered that only 2 towels were sent up. I went down and mentioned this. The front desk said this: \"Actually, sir, we only allow one towel per person.\" After pointing out that we did have 5 in the paid reservation, I mentioned that if this is a bother then forget about it. The front desk agent changed attitude and had the towels eventually sent up. At that point, I asked for an extra blanket. I had to follow up for this blanket at 11pm, from a different agent (different shift). Accor is scrimping on towels??? As I would hope it would be, if a customer wants a towel, you give them a towel. How much does a towel cost??? If there were two people and coffee spilled somewhere, should I just let that stay there and not attempt to use a towel since it’s only ONE PER PERSON???!!!

We stayed here as a family of 4, our room was a great size with great facilities. The hotel is on the edge of Zeebrugge and there are a few bars and restaurants but not much else. We ate at the Basil restaurant in the harbour - totally fantastic. Car park was full outside and more expensive to parkin the underground one which seemed excessive, seemed to be building on the plot. lots of people in the pool but we did not have time to try it. Great for a one night stay.

Poor 3night stay at this hotel; in first room there was no light in the bathroom, changed room but there airco did not work and room was extremely hot; when window, open too much noise (and window did not work properly). Problem was eventually solved on the third night after 4 complaints.
Free water in the room means 1 small bottle for 3 nights!
TV station list not as stated on list in room ...
Hotel very poorly signposted; one has to drive into construction site to find reception ...

Great!

Superb little hotel. We used it for a one night stopover to visit the Bruges Christmas market (about 20 - 30 mins drive away). Our room was on the top floor and it was like a little apartment. Large main living room with dining table and 6 chairs, sofa, tv, desk, fridge, microwave. Then 2 separate double bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom. Plus there was a balcony with views of Zeebrugge harbour. All extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with a great selection of hot and cold items, served in the bar area where there were plenty of tables. Staff were brilliant and very friendly. Only small niggle was that it was quite tricky to find but it was night time when we arrived and pouring with rain!!

Lovely hotel, we arrived early and our room wasn't ready, lady at reception said it will be at 3pm, it went over 3pm so she offered us a free drink! Room was perfect for what we needed, just one night with my husband and 2 girls and we were just using it for a base too visit Bruges, which was 12 minutes away by car. Breakfast was lovely one the best we've had with plenty of choice! Would defiantly stay again.

Very nicest Ibis we have been to. Beds and the room configuration couln't have been better. We never heard a sound!! The staff couldn't have been more appropriate and efficent (especially at breakfest which was excellent and had more than enough variety!) And perfectly at ease in multie language. Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. You will need a car to stay here as it is about 25 min from Bruge. The neighborhood is more industrial, but a 5 min walk will bring you to the wharf with several pricey restaurants. The hotel is very clean and nicely updated. There is an outdoor heated pool and baby pool. The breakfast buffet had a good variety. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great value hotel

We used as a stop over in our trip to Holland and it was a very nice hotel, the family room has two bedrooms which gave the 5 of us plenty of space.
The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
For the price you do lose out on location but there is easy connections along the coast or to Bruges itself.
We will definitely use this hotel again!

Great Staff!!

Staff were amazing! We arrived late with my family and were served meals even when the staff was packing to get home.

The breakfast is of good quality and in a nice environment.

Negative points:

The room was a bit dull and the quality of the bed average.

The area has no life after 6PM- No much to do around the hotel, however few kms from Bruges our Final destination

Ibis hotel in Bruges

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the room was really clean. It was very reasonably priced and was only 25mins drive to the centre of Bruges. We drove there and parked for only 3.50 euro for the day. I would go back there again if I go back to Bruges.

Good base for visiting Bruges

We stayed for 2 nights in May. This hotel had very spacious family rooms with living room and two seperate bedrooms. The whole hotel was very clean and stuff was friendly and helpful. The facilities are basic but as described on the website. Easy access to beach and Bruges if you have got a car. Parking in the hotel was expensive: 7 euros outside or 10 euros inside per night.

Great hotel, though caution if with children

My family stayed in a Family Suite at this hotel for two nights in May 2014. (2 adults, 4yo, 1yo.) Firstly, let me say that my overiding impression of the hotel was very good. Some of the positives: it looks brand new; the staff all spoke excellent english and were very helpful, the room was very clean, well furnished and spacious, really nice additional touches like play bricks and colouring at breakfast for the children, and trolleys to use to help bring in the luggage. The location was good for Bruges, the Zebrugge ferry and nearby beaches (if you have a car - not sure about public transport). We didn't eat out while there, but there are nearby restaurants and a small supermarket. Now negatives... We had two balconies in our suite (1 in a bedroom, 1 in the 'living' area) - these were nice, but there was no way to fully lock them and we were worried about the children 'exploring' and getting out on to them while we were asleep. Also, no additonal lock on the inside of the main door, again not good for small children. There was also a microwave/grill in the room (nice), but it was at knee (i.e. toddler) height :(. There was no kettle in the room, but there was a 24h hot water/coffee machine in reception so not a big issue. It's a lovely hotel, but it does suffer from some non-child-friendly design flaws, so bear that in mind.

Pleasantly surprised!

We booked the hotel as an overnight stop off after a day spent in Bruges before moving on to the main part of our holiday. It was easy to find and very comfortable. Given it's location near the port of Zeebrugge and in what appears to be an area undergoing a lot of regeneration and building work, we were delighted to get a good night's sleep with no traffic noise. A 2 minute drive got us to the vast sandy beach and dunes and we were only a short drive from Bruges. The one member of staff serving in the evening was very friendly and helpful but definitely needed help. She was seeing people to rooms, serving drinks, cooking food and welcoming people - too much for one person! Breakfast was great. Lots of cereals, pastries, bacon and eggs, selection of breads, meat and cheese and plenty of oranges for us to freshly squeeze. Would definitely use as a base again.

A good modern Hotel for a special event

I stayed for 2 nights for a WW1 Commemoration weekend. The hotel was modern clean bright and functional. My room was comfortable and the bathroom was good. The staff were very welcoming and all had a smile! The breakfast had a good quality range of food. I enjoyed my very special visit to Zeebrugge and the Ibis Styles was a most comfortable location.

Chambre confortable et personnel serviable. Cependant les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un Ibis Styles standard : les lieux communs ne sont pas propres (ascenseurs, piscine). Quant à l’espace détente (piscine, sauna, hammam) tout était très sale (dans les vestiaires, mais aussi dans les douches le sol était vert et glissant à cause de la moisissure, et il y avait un mouchoir laissé dans le hammam). Même l’eau de la piscine est trouble. De plus les règles ne sont pas respectées : il y a toujours des enfants après 20h et des gens viennent avec leurs vêtements et même leurs chaussures de l’extérieur ! Enfin, je ne dirais pas que cet espace permette de se détendre car c’est extrêmement bruyant et il n’y a pas de personnel de surveillance et d’entretien. La salle de sport manque d’équipements.
Pour le reste, le parking de l’hôtel est très cher (18€/jour) et l’accès est très étroit. Mais nous avons apprécié de pouvoir louer des vélos à l’hôtel (11€/demi-journée).

Zimmer waren dreckig, Laken, Bettzeugs und Handtücher waren trotz das sie direkt aus der Reinigung kamen mit Flecken übersät, die Matratzen ebenfalls.
Das Hotel war eine einzige Baustelle wegen der andauernden Renovierungen.
Im Restaurant roch es nach Abwasser, Kaffeemaschine war ungepflegt und die Preise für Essen und Getränke waren viel zu hoch.

Ruime kamer, helaas overal tapijt = onhygiënisch, het terras omheinen of afbakenen zo waan je jezelf op straat.
Welness leuk maar uitleg over gebruik zou handig zijn
Ook rekening houden met reservaties voor binnenzwembad dat er ook rustige momenten kunnen gekozen worden.
Ontbijt oké, te weinig keuze en snel bepaalde dingen op die niet worden aangevuld, meer vers fruit en yoghurt.
Tramhalte vlakbij zeker pluspunt.

Super hôtel. Pratique en famille. Par contre le spa n’est pas un spa mais bien une piscine couverte. Trop de monde en même temps, cris d’enfants, plongeons etc. Pas vraiment fait pour se relaxer. Sinon c’était agréable la seule fois où c’était pas rempli et sans enfants. Je pense que ça devrait être exclusivement pour adultes. La piscine extérieur en été fait très bien l’affaire pour les enfants. L’infrastructure est pas mal. l’hôtel est bien situé et l’équipes est très ouverte à toutes les demandes.un peu plus de sourire au bar serait la bienvenue ;) petit déjeuner très moyen mais pratique. Merci à toute l’équipe pour ce chouette séjour.

Prima familiekamer. Met de tram andere plekken goed bereikbaar. Zwembad was ok maar je mag 1 uur per dag en je moet reserveren. Best was goede restaurants in de buurt maar ook daar reserveren!

Vom netten schönen Hotel in eine Betten Hochburg:(

Wir waren früher regelmäßige Stammkunden, aber mittlerweile ist das eine Bettenhochburg geworden. Alles ist verbaut, eine einzige Baustelle. Die Preise sind extrem überteuert. Das Frühstück für 21 € pro Person, welches noch zusätzlich zum hohen Zimmerpreis verlangt wird, ist auf gar keinen Fall das Geld wert…die Sauberkeit des Zimmers ist schlecht… es wurden nur Handtücher ausgetauscht das Bett gemacht, aber sauber wurde nichts gemacht und auch kein Kafee etc aufgefüllt. Und das für ein kleines Doppelzimmer für 240 € die Nacht!!!
