This was my third time staying at this Louisa, the first time perfect, however now the property is falling apart, we stayed in the penthouse B3. The building outside has mold everywhere . The beds an are super hard and squeaky, the pillows are like flat pancakes, linen were old and stained,the internet is super slow. The safe was broken, Jacuzzi was broken, pool was dirty and you could see the mold from the top. Staff at the restaurant were not very attentive and the look grouchy all time.

This was our second time staying at the Louisa Aparthotel and this is the only place we will be staying at when we visit Las Terrenas. The location is perfect - close to the beach but quiet at the same time. The apartment is clean and comfortable, the perfect size for our family of 4. The staff is very welcoming and accomodating. You will not regret staying here!!

This was my 3rd time staying at this property, the first time was perfect, second visit we had issues with the jacuzzi being dirty but they eventually cleaned it . This visit upon arrival we found the jacuzzi very dirty and asked for it to be cleaned, no one showed up , next day we let them know that no one showed up to clean it, once again they say someone will go clean it and no one showed up. After paying extra for a jacuzzi on the roof top twice and having the same issue is enough. Pool was also turning green and walls were moldy.

This is my third year staying at this hotel as is a fantastic property in Las Terrenas in playa las Ballena’s The apt hotel is very modern and the staff is excellent easy to walk to town and chill vibes at their beach club house The Eden.

Whether you want to come with family or as a couple this place is magical. Love it there! Great location and beach.

We had a really great stay at this hotel. We went as a couple and really enjoyed the serene of the pool. We also walked just up the street and spent quite a bit of time at the beach and the restaurants along the beach were really great. The rooms were really nice but honestly we spent very little time in the rooms as the area is so great for walking around and going to see everything. The morning breakfast that was provided at the beach was amazing! They also had golf cart rides available if you needed to go a short distance or just didn’t really feel like walking the 1 minute to the beach

I loved this place, I am familiar with the area and this is the best place I’ve stayed so far. The best location, close to an amazing beach. Best price-quality in the area.
The only thing I would have liked is for the breakfast to be less heavy (it was fried eggs, fried cheese, fried salami and fried plantains) and have fruits or juices. I am not sure if I wasn’t offered the healthy options or if they aren’t available.
But I would be back for sure! Really enjoyed the stay.

It was clean and modern. Quite comfortable apartment.
On the down side: requires a half a block walk to the beach on a narrow street without sidewalk while cars and motorcycles zip by you. The same applies to breakfast, that was actually delicious.

Very nice place with lots of privacy. Pool was not so clean but apt was excellent with cooking amenities. Only downfall was the restaurant. Not in the location out by the beach although the hotel employees were very nice and even offer a ride to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is outside in front of beach However that service was by far the worst i have ever experienced.. Either choose another place to eat or buy your own to cook. Other than that place was beautiful and peaceful. The name of that restaurant was Colibre dont eat there!!

Property is just as shown in pictures. Clean, nicely decorated, spacious. We we a a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teens, and were very comfortable in our apartment.

The property is not beachfront, but just next to it. I have stayed at beach hotels were have had a longer walk. You don't feel away from it.

The breakfast was perfect, right on the beach, priceless!!!

The hotel is beautiful and very close to the beach.
I was in a penthouse, however I found mildew in the shower, the bed was hard like a rock, very uncomfortable. The pillows were very thing. I stayed for 9 days !and the respond was we do not offer more pillows. The restaurant is next to the beach food was ok, my first day at the restaurant I asked for salt and came to the table when I was almost done eating. The massage ladies at the beach come to greet you before the servers. The manager at the restaurant is never around to see what’s wrong in the restaurant. And to top Jose Luis the golf car driver was so rude and disrespectful. He was having a really bad day I guess.

I love the unit. It is accessible on foot to everything. It is clean, open, has nice private outdoor space with open access to the living area, has all we needed for our stay, short walk to beach, chairs provided. Golf cart rides available if needed. Breakfast was included and plentiful. My food was cold so I didn’t eat it. Didn’t want to bother my waitress again because I already asked her to bring me a separate sugar container after she gave me from another table where some people were still eating. (COVID-19 concern). I would suggest that they provided sugar packets, not shared containers where the guests use spoons to get the sugar. Besides this, I would definitely go back. After breakfast we had a nice walk in the beach. The staff is courteous but the breakfast staff (my server) can benefit Of a little bit of basic serving etiquettes ( maybe she wasn’t feeling good). We practiced good cdc recommandations, plus we clean everything around with Lysol wipes. I recommend this place.

I can say that the property itself is very nice/rooms are clean/food was great/it was close to the beach but a little walking distance from everything else. The security guy and the gentleman who takes care of the cars overnight (I forget their names which I wish I didn’t) they were the only staff that I was able to have good communication with and treated us like we belonged there. The girl who checked us in, although she was nice, she seemed as though she was nervous doing her job, she could not speak clearly at all, she could not answer any of the questions about anything I asked her, she failed to give any information about the surrounding area, she didn’t mention what we can expect staying at the property, so for me the check in was sub par considering what I was expecting. there was a lack of communication amongst the staff after we had a piece of kitchen appliance almost fall on top of us (oven hood cover), which they are very lucky did not injure me or my partner. There was another gentleman who worked check in, which I can’t remember his name, but he had the worst attitude, as if all of my questions were bothering him, I wish I could remember his name because he was the worst. Lastly, eden restaurant was understandably busy the day of our check out but me and my partner were sitting for an hour before our order was taken, but Charlie decided he wanted to take an order from people who just walkedin, even after stating he was not a waiter, we got food 3 hours later.

First time Visiting this place and loved everything about it. From the security guy who greet you when you first arrive to the staff at the front desk, are all great. The apartments are very clean and modern. Beach is just steps away. We really couldn’t ask for anything better; we are already planning our next vacation to Samana and this is definitely the place we are staying.

Our week long stay here was absolutely perfect. The property was beautiful and very clean. It sits down a quiet street right off the beach and breakfast included at their restaurant on the beach was a great way to start each day. There were lounge chairs on the beach for use and it really was the most beautiful beach in the area. It is a short 1 mile walk to the main town and a good selection of restaurants so I highly recommend staying in this area where all the boutique hotels are and away from the busy streets of downtown. We were there during COVID and the cleanliness was impeccable and the staff was so kind and helpful. The balconies were also a perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink and some food after the 8pm curfew hit. We highly recommend visiting Las Terrenas for a true DR experience and the best place to stay is without a doubt Louisa!

*There is no overnight receptionist.
*Power went out more than once during my stay (couple of minute).
*Breakfast is not bad at all & the beachfront view is gorgeous
*Used sheets and beach towels must be given first for change
*Emails are overlooked - they will answer some question if not any
*Language is a bit of a barrier here
*Facility looks clean but I found a roach in my main bathroom (I have pictures)
*Breakfast staff does not know how to deal with large groups (we were a family 12)
Overall, if you want a relaxed stay - no children, no cooking - come here. If you have a large family and want to cook, have little kids - find somewhere else to stay. This facility is not a large family friendly stay.

Louisa Aparthotel provides a relaxing place for you to enjoy BEAUTIFUL Las Terrenas. Even though it's not right on the beach, it has a private pool and is about a 2 minute walk to the beach (might I add Las Terrenas has the most beautiful beaches I've seen in the DR). We loved breakfast on the beach and being able to use that restaurant as our beach spot. We loved the town, excellent and helpful staff, great location!
