This hotel is only 150 m from the sandy beach in the centre of Oostende. Oostende Railway Station is a 10-minute walk away and De Haan and Bruges are both less than 30 minutes away by car.

The Sea Life Centre in Blankenberge is just over 30 minutes' drive from the establishment. Various restaurants, bars, pubs, nightspots and shopping venues are around 200 m from the hotel and the bus and railway stations are approximately 500 m away.

Wonderful experience!

Amazing hotel in every way. Located near the Ponte Vecchio, right on river and easy walk to everything. The hotel is beautifully decorated with small bar and nice breakfast including American pot of coffee. But the best part was the outstanding service. They upgraded our room and and we overlooked the river and a bottle of prosecco was sitting for us at check in.

Our family booked to rooms and spent two very pleasant nights at this hotel. It has one of the best locations in town just off Ponte Vechio at the historic center of Venice. Breakfast was great and the service personnel who tended to it was the best in the hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Italy! From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The property was full of charm and character, with beautifully maintained spaces and breathtaking views that truly captured the essence of the region.

Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a luxurious home away from home. The amenities were top-notch, and every detail felt carefully considered to enhance our stay.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive — always available when needed but never intrusive. Their hospitality made a lasting impression and added so much to the overall experience.

This was easily one of the most memorable hotel stays we’ve had. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic Italian getaway.

We had a VERY SLIGHT snafu when we first got to our room (roll-away for 3rd person wasn't already in room like the desk thought). They quickly apologized, & ended up upgrading us to a larger room to accommodate the 3rd bed even better. I had booked a river view room, but our view of the Ponte Vecchio was amazing!

My wife and i stayed here one night only due to a flight cancellation. The staff were very kind to make us feel welcome, made an excellent recommendation for dinner, and packed us a wonderful bag breakfast due to our having to leave at 4am. The bar was very enjoyable for a cocktail before going out, bartender skillful and charming. We stayed here by accident but next time i am in Florence i will stay here.

The location is good. The room for a solo traveler is terribly bad, it has two levels, and you have to climb up a steep wooden staircase to reach it, and doing so with luggage is not safe. The hotel, in its time, must have been of good quality, but they have neglected it.

This property is amazing and by far my favorite hotel during our tour of Italy. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We had a large balcony where we would sit everyday to enjoy a snack and glass of wine. The breakfast is very good with lots of variety. The little bar with happy hour was nice too. The staff are very helpful. You can’t beat the location within walking distance to everything! Will definitely stay there again.

The AC in our room however, was lacking. Our room was very hot. The bed was also very very hard. My husband had trouble sleeping. Overall, I’d stay here again…but I would have asked that maintenance take a look at the AC.

This hotel is in a great location. You can walk everywhere and the easily stop back into the hotel for a rest if needed. The staff from the front desk, to doormen, to the cleaning staff and the breakfast staff were all so accommodating and helpful. I would easily stay here again.
My only suggestion for the hotel is you didn't have any nice glasses in the room. If someone wants to share a bottle of wine after a busy day, there was no glasses in the room to enjoy a glass of wine with. They should consider setting up a small bar area in each room - with glasses and a bucket for ice, wine opener,...

Hotel Berchielli is a great spot, a beautiful hotel on the Lungarno, it is really a great value. The staff is helpful and nice, the breakfast room, food and service are all very accommodating. I like that they have turn down service and a bar downstairs. Great location and the whole place has a good deal of charm.

We were upgraded to a suite and we loved it. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The absolute best breakfast is served daily. Cured meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, granola and cold cereal options, wide variety of pastries, eggs, sausage, assorted water and juices, cappuccino, American coffee. Lived breakfast. Location is beautiful and convenient to attractions. Would love to stay here again.

Hotel Berchielli, great hotel, great location

I only stayed 1 night in Florence at Hotel Berchielli. It was a great hotel and in a great location for all the shopping and tourist shops (Christmas). I very much enjoyed walking around the narrow streets and going in all the shops.
I was in room 507, the door to my room is on the 5th floor but as soon as you open the door you have a set of stairs that takes you up to the bedroom and bathroom. I am sure it is due to retrofitting the older hotels.

Have stayed here multiple times. The staff is super friendly and helpful - the front desk, breakfast room and bar staff! All are great. Awesome location right along the Arno and short walking distances to all the top spots. Still has the old world charm. Very clean, daily room cleaning. Laundry service great too. No English language TV news channels, so if that is important to you, you won't get it here. For me, the break is a good thing. Highly recommend.

Pros: The hotel was located right by the water and was within walking distance to all the major landmarks in Florence. I loved the decor of the lobby, outdoor patio and my room. The bed was comfortable and the AC was great for the middle of August in Italy!

Cons: the hose to the shower head was broken so water sprayed a bit in unexpected directions, but overall this didn’t matter too much. The complimentary croissants and espresso in the morning were pretty bad. They provided shampoo but no conditioner in my bathroom.

I was given a room with a broken A/C. They definitely new about it, but still gabe me the room. When I complained, they had no other room available and had fans at hand. It was very hot and humid. They should have taken the room out of their inventory. I though they we going to give me a rate break, but didn't. I chose a high rate hotel to make sure I had a comfortable stay. So, I was very disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel with an unbeatable location, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The hotel is perfectly situated, offering easy access to all the major attractions and amenities of the area. Whether I wanted to explore local landmarks, enjoy fine dining, or shop till I dropped, everything was just a short walk away.

The rooms were another highlight of my stay. They were not only clean but also impressively spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. It’s clear that the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work, as the room was spotless every day of my stay.

One evening, I decided to visit the hotel bar, and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and welcoming bartender. They were not only skilled at mixing drinks but also great company, making for a delightful evening.

The service throughout the hotel was consistently excellent. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met promptly and with a smile. One minor issue I encountered was that the air conditioning in my room was somewhat limited. However, the staff did their best to resolve this by bringing in a fan, which made it a bit more comfortable.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was fantastic. With its prime location, immaculate and spacious rooms, friendly bartender, and exceptional service, it’s a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Received room didn’t correspond description and amenities that were provided by booking deluxe category number. Room was much smaller without double windows. After complaints at the reception, staff ignored and was arrogant. You could clearly see that in this tourist packed area, customers are not priority.
Also interior of the hotel in no way have level of the 4* hotel.

First we were told that we were upgraded for free to a room with a view of the River and of Ponte Vecchio. That was already a win!!! The view from the hotel room was so so beautiful. The staff were super friendly and polite and professional. The next best thing about the hotel is the buffet breakfast spread! Of all the hotels we stayed in Italy, this hotel had the best breakfast spread and the food was great quality. We especially enjoyed the variety of pastries that were nicer than those cafes outside. The staff also were very sweet to write our names on our coffees which impressed us on a different level. Room was clean and toilet was spacious. Just that the shower is located in a bathtub so might not be too accessible for some but it was fine for us. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.

We were genuinely overwhelmed by our beautiful room. It overlooked the river with two huge windows. The staff were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast was super tasty with everything on offer to suit all palates. This hotel was wonderful and the location was perfect for visiting anywhere in Florence with all the attractions and designer shops within very easy walking distance. It has a lovely roof terrace and attractive foyer for eating, drinking and coffees. We didn’t want to leave.

The two ladies at the front desk were so awesome when my luggage was lost by the airlines. This hotel isn’t super fancy and doesn’t need to be. Good clean rooms. Great breakfast. Great location. The river-view from the 5th floor cannot be beat; absolutely lovely. The rooms are large, well appointed, and the bathroom was very nice. The bed was a 6/10 for comfort, but the pillows were a 1/10, just awful. It’s very hot in the rooms without the windows open, but very loud while open. The lobby is hot at all times and smells VERY strong of perfume. The breakfast was wonderful.

I had a hard time finding the hotel due to the numbering system on the streets. The address is #14 and the GPS led me to #14 on that street but it was the wrong #14.
It just so happens that that place is abandoned.
I was tired from traveling, do not speak Italian and on foot– but after asking around I was told there are red numbers and black numbers so there are two #14's. I was finally relieved to find the hotel at he other end of a long street.

Boutique, quaint hotel that in an excellent central location convenient for walking to key sights. 5 min walk from the Uffizi. Hotel and rooms are super clean. Nice sheets and beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast while included was not the best (better pastries to be had elsewhere) but staff were friendly and the coffee was good. Overall happy with our stay.

Gorgeous Hotel. In a side street close to Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery. Stunning features throughout hotel. Comfy room with bottle of fizz waiting in our room. Room Service wasn't great but they dont really do room service, it was just what they had access to. Breakfast was terrific. Would stay again.

The only hotel I've ever stayed at that had no in room coffee maker. Location of hotel was convenient to most attractions and the river view rooms were great.

A/C didn't actually cool room and front desk and bar staff seemed a little put out with English only speaking guests, however everyone was very polite. A solid 4-4.5 stars

I am an older lady who stayed at the hotel B after my road scholar group departed. For 3 extra days, I had an elegant breakfast with personalized cappucino, walked everywhere in perfect safety and was treated so very warmly by all the staff. They even patiently helped me with my ridiculous attempts at Italian.

The Hotel was perfect and I am so grateful to all who made my stay so delightful - and memorable.

Expedia services were grand too.

To have a two-bathroom suite was a dream. Service was excellent throughout, from the front desk to the dining room and housekeeping. It was perfectly located, far enough away from the the craziness of the Ponte Vecchio (even in October!) but close enough to be able to cross it in minutes. One small not-quite complaint: the mattress was too hard, which could be corrected by purchasing a mattress cover. In all, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you!
