Nice hotel, perfect location

Really nice hotel, surprisingly grand for the price (and the comments). Location was perfect, and staff were lovely. Rooms large, with really nice features. Only negative was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel has no air-conditioning in the rooms

The hotel says it has air conditioning, but it does not in the rooms. The lady at the front desk was trying to explain to me that it was my mistake for not understanding that it is an old hotel and technically they have an air conditioning system, but it just doesn’t work. it was late at night so I couldn’t leave, but it was very hot and I was furious. She didn’t care.

Great little hotel

Quirky hotel in a prime location. Rooms were a little erotically decorated but I must say, very comfortable
Mirrors on ceiling and walls. We stayed in room 207. Lovely balcony that you could view the sea. In a beautiful part of town. Lovely restaurants and bars all on your doorstep. Would 100% return here. Loved the city too.
One small negative. The reception staff were not helpful and a little bit miserable.
But a great hotel.

The Aircon just gave out warm air. It was impossible to sleep. I saw many other reviews about this. Some others mentioned it being a sex hotel. I heard very loud love making on two occasions when in the hallway so I guess they're correct. Amazit area but absolutely would not stay in this hotel again.

Awful hotel - bad conditions, rude employees

The only good thing about this hotel is the location - it is right in the city center.

Otherwise, this was honestly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was over 90°F/32°C during our stay, and the air conditioner didn't work at all. After calling reception multiple times about it, and was eventually told that the rooms don't get cool when it's hot out. They let us change rooms after I asked for a fan but the other room was just as hot. We ended up buying a small desk fan ourselves. This could be a hazard for people with health issues.

The rooms also looked like they were falling apart (tables held together by tape, cracked mirrors, permanent stains on table tops) and staff was rude and unapproachable. The first couple floors also smelled like cigarette smoke.

There are also security concerns with this hotel. If you need to leave your baggage until check in time, it just sits in the middle of the lobby - no separate locked rooms or tags given to ensure someone else can't take your bags. Some of the key cards also had the room numbers on them - if someone lost a key, it would be really easy to find and enter their room.

The spa was also closed even though we were given spa credit with our booking, so if you're interested in the spa, check that it's open before booking.

I had to ask for my room to get cleaned.when i arrived i found toilet papers in the bathroom.. i told them it' s terrible to have such a \"welcome \". Next day the cleaning lady came in the afternoon knocking on the door and woke me up from my noon nap . No 4 stars for such a horrble attitude. The worst ever coffee for breakfast. Impolite people in the reception. I strongly suggest NOT to visit this \"hotel \".

This was the worst experience ever in a hotel.
It suppose to be 4 stars hotel but the conditions were horrible. We paid for a double room and the room resulted to be so mini, so small you couldn't even breath. The air conditioner did not work. The room felt like a sauna, there were no windows. We tried to call reception but nobody answered. We barely survived the night and we both woke up sick the next day. We talk to the lady at the reception while checking out and she seemed already knew the situation of the room but nothing she could do about it.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL.

The good thing about this hotel is its location and that the rooms are reasonably clean. However, it is known amongst the locals as a place where you can get a room for an hourly rate/for the night after a night out and the sound-proofing is almost non-existent. This results to incredibly inconvenient noise levels.

This is not a four-star hotel, it has the potential to be one, but the primary clientele make it something between two and three stars. The rooms are clean and amenities reasonable, but because of the stuffiness of room air and horrible noise-levels, the stay was far from relaxing.

Check in person didnt really give us any details as to where breakfast is or extra amentities. Breakfast server was rude and that actually turned us away from spending money there to eat. We actually found out by accident that we had a spa credit but we didnt even know where that was. Poor management, but clean and very good proximity to the plaza and white tower.

It has great decoration and style. I believe it is a great place to stay and it has the perfect location. There were two drawbacks.

1st Breakfast. It is continental. It means that you can't choose what you want to eat and they will serve you whatever they want. The food was tasty, i can't argue with that, however the lady that was working at the time was not polite.

2nd property condition. When i got into my room, i checked the condition of everything. All furniture were perfect. However, the bathroom door needed force to open, the hand washer sink did not have cold water.

The bath tub had jakuzzi. I was excited at first. I pressed the button to turn it on and it didn't work at all. I was totally disappointed about it.

Avoid, unless you rent a gf by the hour.

This is more like an hourly hotel used by \"couples\". You can hear everything. Constant stream of mean coming in and out, smoking in rooms and corridor noise.
The rooms are clean but very tired, dark and AC does not work properly.
Having travelled to almost 50 countries, this is the most I've paid for a disgusting, low level room.

Excellent location but the standard room I stayed was too small and needed refurbishment - flooring, wardrobe, shower etc. For 100 Euro per night you expect something more than clever lighting. The cleaner also did very little - didn’t even bother to replace the shower gel. Staff at the reception were nice but overall I expected more from the hotel.

Second time in Thessaloniki

We have now stayed twice at the Andromeda. It has a super location, close to all attractions. Reception staff were professional and always ready to help. The bed linen was excellent and the towels were changed daily.
However the hotel room that we had has some areas for improvement, the room floor could have been cleaner, there was insufficient lighting and it gave the room a dim feeling, the sink waste pop up did not work and the soap dispensers had not been checked. It really need some upgrading, particularly regarding the wallpaper and the lights. Finally it would improve the hotel experience if a kettle and cups were provided as a matter of course.
We would stay again at the Hotel, mainly because of its great location, and we would recommend it to friends.

The only slight difficulty with our room was a confined entrance to the separate toilet and some noise from the adjacent lift going up and down but this was compensated for by everything else which was great. We didn’t realise until after breakfast that the nice restaurant next door which we had eaten at the night before was part of the hotel too.

The room looked nicely decorated, but lack of attentions to detail ruined the experience. The wallpaper was peeling off due to wet walls, high humidity in the room, smell of mildew, bed bugs, windows not properly installed and sealed, you could hear outside as clear as inside, very poor cooling system, didn't even cool our tinny room even though it was running all day long. Couldn't sleep at night because it was so hot. I took 3 cold showers and a bath and still couldn't cool down enough to get some shut eye.

The holiday was let down because of lack of water supply on 2 occasions. The first for 12 hours and the second for 2 days. No shower etc. Hotel provided bottled water and a bucket of water for washing. Rooms are quirky, but ours was rather dark with a window overlooking the internal covered courtyard. Good location.

It's more like a motel than a hotel, that's why says ADULTS only. Only heat, no cold air from central AC in Nov. Overused air fresher makes me sick. Open the window, but people smoke indoors. Talked to front desk, no English for night shift. Talk to front desk in the morning, nothing they can do but change the room. If there is only heat in the hotel, what is the point to move to another room? bad condition from the bathroom, do not trust the pictures on the web, it looks good, but only PS. I must give credit to Hotels.com, they stand behind their customers and give full support in this case. Big thanks to Hotels.com team, and I'm really glad I choose you in my past 5 years travel.

The room we were allocated had scaffolding and netting in front of the window. The workmen were working until 8pm which meant that we had to have the curtains closed throughout the daylight hours. ( we arrived at about 1pm ). Initially tried to find out how long the work would last ( we were there for 4 nights ) but it satisfied with the answer and asked if we could change rooms. Request dealt with efficiently and we were transferred to a larger room lunchtime the next day, where no work was or would be carried out. So satisfied by response.

Sheets were dirty! Bathroom shower door leaked and wet the the entire bathroom. Would not recommend this hotel. Did not receive the room or amenities as described on Expedia. When complained, staff apologized and gave me a bottle of wine. Location was good and front desk staff nice.

You probably won't be greeted with a smile. Not very welcoming. When arriving at 12 and asking for earlier check in repeatedly told 2pm is the check in time. Ie. we will make no attempt to check you in early and don't bother asking again 2pm is the fixed check in time. No warm Greek greeting in case you're expecting one. Breakfast offering is poor and grumpy waitress that states there is no menu then lists bread cheese ham and eggs as the only options anyway. Again grunted at. Would not call this a 5 star hotel due to the service. Although they did let me return to the room when I said I left my lipstick there (not found). At least they attempted to be helpful. Can't comment on the spa as didn't use it. But believe 10 euros to use the steam/sauna if you want to. Room is pink in an extravagant kind of way. Comfortable room and bed. Overall would not recommend as you can stay for much cheaper at the Astoria which is basic, clean, super friendly and helpful for all of your needs. Andromeda is not welcoming and no one needs that on holiday.

2 floor room, street side, above first floor rooms that have 'multiple guests' some nights ....makes for noisy nights, some fake noises!!... no desk for work. Nicely situated, 100+places to eat and drink nearby...next door Loco Bus had good breakfast. Shopping street 1 block up, Kitchen bar across the bay is good. Nearby historical sites and lively open air market a few blocks up.

Lovely hotel with lovely people and interestingly decorated hotel rooms in a brilliantly central location. Only complaint was the wifi which was really substandard, but perhaps that's their way of telling us to get out and enjoy the city rather than sitting in our rooms staring at a screen. For those who don't like city noise, this might not be a good choice, but I love urban noise and slept with the balcony doors open all night.

This hotel is practically in the middle of all the activity. Close to all the sights and shopping area. However on weekend nights it can be rather loud outside, and our room window didn't close properly. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The shower changed between hot and cold randomly, but maybe it was just our room.

Excellent Choice

The ladies that run this hotel are nothing short of fantastic. They were just so wonderful and helpful for every little thing I asked / needed. The only reason I put a 3 on the comfort of my room is because 1) It smelled like smokers had previously stayed in the room and that smell doesn't really go away and 2) it was fairly warm (despite only being the first of may) and even though I tried cooling it down, the air conditioner unit thing never really cooled off the room. Other than that, I would stay here again!
