Great hotel stay! The hotel is clean, room was great (3 twin beds!). Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. Bar appertivo was also great with enough food/snacks for a meal! This hotel was close to Gambara metro station (3 minute walk), cafes, and San Siro stadium. We chose it because we were attending a soccer game and had to walk back due to crowds/bus lines being re routed but the bus stops outside too for transport which was how we got to the stadium. Front desk staff super nice & helpful. Great stay!

The hotel itself is beautiful. It is easy to use the transportation to get to the Duomo area. However , it is a bit far . It took us about 15 minutes to get to the center area via train . The breakfast was delicious .

Perfect location

Excellent hotel, very clean and great service from all the team. Close to Metro service into Milan famous sites and within reasonable walking distance to the San Siro - especially convenient after Bruce Springsteen concert. Was back in the hotel 25 minutes after leaving the stadium.

The room we were assigned was really hot as the AC was broken. It was around 8 pm when we went into the room and informed front desk. They tried to help but couldnt so in the end gave us a table fan that did not help at all. We suffered a sleepless night and slept at 5 am causing us to start the day late and miss out on our plan to go to Lake Como. The second noght, they moved us to a bigger room. Things worked in this room but I was too exhausted to fall asleep. This is the most expensive hotel i booked on my trip and it didnt live up to my expectations. Otherwise, staff were very nice and polite

Overall compared to my other accommodation experiences - this one was great. Breakfast was high quality and large in variety. Staff is professional and someone was available to help even at 3am.

I would say the minor issues could have been due to how old the building was- like the hand held shower not working, the bede in the washroom not releasing, the cupboard with motor getting stuck, the shower corner had some questionable dark matter which I think may be due to humidity or moisture.

Beds were comfortable, shower and room were warm at all times. Extremely professional, customer focused employees that were happy to help when we needed it!

Highly recommend if you don’t mind being slightly outside of the central Duomo area! It’s about a 20min uber ride … but there’s also a metro up the street if you’re down to explore that- it was great fun!

Value for money, great receptionist Nicola. Rooms are bit outdated in comparison to the pictures, but bed and pillows were very comfortable,good bedsheet quality. Good shower and warm water. The sliding door to bathroom is not the best, almost no sound proof and privacy, so that's a bit unfortunate... Good breakfast and location.

The great selling points for this hotel are their helpful, welcoming and wonderful staff and how closer to the metro it is. It is 8 stops on the metro to the Duomo.

The hotel is in walking distance from San Siro stadium and within a 3 minute walk to the Metro which makes it very easy to get in to the centre of Milan. However, area appears quite run down with lots of graffiti and litter.
The hotel itself said it is 4*, however, due to the facilities and service available it appeared more basic. The bathrooms had been modernised but there was mould around the bath. The rooms were clean and adequate with tea and coffee making facilities. There was a fridge with a few basic items for sale. The bed was extremely hard and the rooms were very noisey at night due to the trams and other street noise. None of us got a lot of sleep during the three nights. The TV in the room only had Italian Chanel’s and did not offer Netflix or any extras.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful and there was a bar that opened at 4.30pm. The bar lacked atmosphere, did not have as friendly staff and was very expensive compared to restaurants bars in the centre of Milan. There was a very limited food menu. We paid an extra 150 euros for breakfast for the 3 nights for the 4 of us. The first 2 mornings we were up early (around 7.30) and managed to get breakfast which again was ok, not anything special. Last morning we went at 9, it was complete chaos, couldn’t get a seat, when we did we couldn’t sit as a family no plates despite asking 3 members of staff and not very much left to eat and they could not replace items quick enough. Really poor offering for 50e.

The aircon didn’t fully work in our room (when it was 35 degrees outside!) and very little was done to rectify this which put a real dampener on our stay.

Great if your going to San Siro

We were in Milan for the Eras tour so this was a perfect location for us because of its proximity to San Siro stadium. We could easily take the bus or walk before and after the concert, even when it was going very late. The breakfast was also great and we ate it every morning there. It’s a little far from central Milan but again super easy to the metro which took you right into town. The staff were all very friendly and some even made and traded friendship bracelets with us.

The staff running the front desk were extremely helpful with directions, teaching us key phrases in Italian; etc. Francisco in the bar was simply outstanding. Stayed in this hotel for a weekend trip and it was amazing! Hotel kept our bags safe before check in and after check out so we could continue exploring the city. 5-10 minute walk from metro stop Gambara which goes directly into the city in 20 minutes. Super great if you’re traveling on a budget!

Bed was hard as a rock and the room was unbearably hot. There is zero airflow in the room as they have the central air turned off. Had to none the window for fresh air and the traffic on the busy road below was very noisy.

The hotel was close to gambara which is great to get around. And local bars and restaurants were also a short walk away. The rooms are in the classic Italian style, i prefer more contemporary style but it was very clean. The shower was excellent with three modes including a waterfall!
Breakfast was also a simple but good selection and staff were very helpful

Hotel was kind of old and revamped in certain areas. Thing were mostly old with an updated bathroom or hallway doors making it look more modern. The problem is the air conditioner is ancient or they r simply cheap with it.
We had it set to 20degrees but it never reached instead we spent the night sweating through the sheets. It’s too noisy to open the windows nor was it cooler outside.
The pillows are thin and the are cheap with them too! Sadly this was the worst hotel we stayed during our trip to Italy and thank gd it was for one night only! Had I arrived to it without being exhausted I would have ran away and booked another hotel.
The area feels like ur in the hood. Graffiti, buildings neighborhood parks…I do not recommend it at all!
Staff were unhelpful except for ashraf who helped us with out luggage.

Decent hotel, very clean, very good breakfast but I am struggling with the 4* rating to be honest. I’ve stayed at numerous 3* hotels with a better quality of finish etc. I guess ultimately most people would use the word ‘tired’. There was nothing really wrong with this hotel at all but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Great hotel, rooms really well kept, great location with 2-3 minute walk to the nearest Metro station on the M1 line. If you’re coming from Malpensa airport get the Malpensa Express to Milano Cadorna not Centrale, then it’s a straight ride on the Metro to Gambara. Staff really friendly, couldn’t have been better.

Had a decent 3 night stay in the Antares Hotel Rubens.
The good: close to 2 metro lines; friendly people and nice service; located close to MiCo Convention Center (within walking distance, albeit a long-ish walk and a short cab-ride) and the Jewish Quarter.
The not-as-good: the rooms are small, decor and facilities could use updating, bed was only sort-of comfy.

Overall good value for money.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is about 4 km from the city centre, but has two Metro stations close by and it's near Corso Vercelli, which has a good selection of shops. Reception is 24/7 and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, but could do with a few more options (as could the gym if you ever use it).

Free parking, very close to red line. Not many tourist attractions nearby but train was super easy to use, and about 5 stops away. It is probably more a three star property than a four star.
The rooms are small. We were on the first floor facing the road and the tramway. You could hear the trams and the traffic until at least midnight and again from around 5.30.
The bar/restaurant is simple with very limited menu. The parking is tight, but one of the staff managed to find a spot and retrieve it. The staff is friendly.

An ideal hotel , recommended for a stay in Milan

The hotel is located on Via Rubens, no.21, at about 10 minutes walk from the Gambara subway station, on the red line, which leads directly to the city center, at Dom. The neighborhood is a quiet one, full of greenery, and not too busy - at least that was in August, when I was there, so you can rest wonderfully. The hotel is clean, neat, its hallways bring you to the American films of the '70s-'80s, displaying an aristocratic elegance of.
Spacious, clean room, with almost new furniture, TV, minibar and wi-fi, non-stop air conditioning, so it's a pleasure to come from outside, from 38-40 ℃; very clean bathroom with all utilities. In addition, daily cleaning is done in the room, towels are changed and body care products are replaced. On the 4th floor there is a fitness room with several appliances to which access is free.
The hotel restaurant is located on the 5th (last) floor from where you can have a (modest) panorama of the surrounding area. Good and fresh food, about the same every day, but enough for breakfast. Very friendly, jovial, calm and understanding staff, ready to come to the help of tourists.
The hotel is also equipped with free parking. The city tax is 2.5 euros / person / night.
