Nice hotel - the rooms are a bit dated but are nice otherwise. The restaurant serves nice food although the service is a little brusque. Not much is explained on arrival…. Best to book access to roof terrace, and space for dinner. Breakfast is busy and has a good range of food on offer, and the service is more friendly

The hotel is a little dated but in a convenient location across from the beach and about a 20 min walk to the old town. The staff is helpful and friendly. The reason that I rated it so low as my husband and I would wake up with insect bites that we first thought were mosquito bites because he had found a few mosquitoes in the room. After examining the bites we feared it was bed bugs so we stripped the beds down to the mattress and with the flashlights on our phones we discovered tiny bugs crawling. We reported it to reception and they replaced the mattresses but did not acknowledge there were bed bugs. Also when we checked into our room the toilet wasn’t flushing properly and had to replace the tank the next day. The rooms were serviced daily.

Great location. Small room

The location was amazing, right on the seafront, with amazing views and only a 5/10 minute walk to the town.
The staff was really nice, and the breakfast options were really good, especially for coeliacs.
The only complaint would be that the room was tiny, and a bit claustrophic, and you could hear anyone who walked past the room.
Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely go back and stay here. Thanks for a great stay.

The only positive thing about this hotel was its location, but everything else was disappointing. The rooms are very dated, and not clean. We booked two separate rooms and we encountered the same issues in both rooms (hair on the bed, dirty shower plate, dead flys on the floor, etc).
What they call gym is a weird collection of 3 equipment who seem to have been donated to them and they have been placed in a very weird location of the hotel.
Do you homework before you go…there are plenty of other nearby hotels to book for a decent stay and at a lower rate.

You are made to feel at home.

The beach is directly in front of the hotel, the staff are very friendly, helpful and work well to provide the best service and experience for their guests.
The food in the restaurant is excellent quality and is cuisine from the local area. It is that good that the restaurant is full with guests and locals alike.

The owner is a great guy and cannot do enough for his guests, nothing is too much trouble, he only took over the hotel 4 months ago and has a great team of people working in the team. We will definitely be going to the hotel again. Bravo 🎉

Nice location awful bathroom

Amazing location beach right on the doorstep and a short walk into the centre. Staff were friendly and the cleaning service was amazing every day. The towels were an issue had to pay €5 per day for two towels if we wanted to sit by the pool. The room was very old and run down the toilet smelt like sewerage and you had to hold your hand down on the flush for over a minute and a half to get the water to start running, then when you released the pipes sounded like they were going to fall off the wall. The paint on the ceiling of the bathroom was falling off. The balcony was nice but no view.

Pros: location on the beach, walkable to old town, Loaner closet with umbrellas for the beach.

Cons: Staff was unfriendly, the beach smelled like sewage, Our bathroom smelled like urine and the “clean” towels smelled like feet. The rooms have not been updated since the hotel was built. If you want a bargain and care about nothing else, this is the hotel for you.

GREAT LOCATION ON BEACH & EASY WALK TO CITY CENTER

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Soleado, a simple but friendly hotel w/ 24/7 reception and breakfast included. The room was much smaller than we anticipated, but worked fine for our 3 nights in Alghero. Greatest advantage was the location on the beach. The hotel greeted us upon early morning arrival and informed us that our room would be ready in 1.5-2 hrs. We left our bags in storage and they had free umbrellas and chairs for us to use on the beach. The pool was a great way to cool off in the evening as well. Not so many places to eat right at the hotel but a few beachside bars and some restaurants up and down Lido beach about 10-15 mins walking (1/2 km). Each room has a small balcony to dry towels and wet items and the breakfast was open from 0730-1030. We would have preferred self-service buffet but the ladies were so kind to grab whatever we wanted from the breakfast menu. All the staff were too kind and you won't be able to beat this location for this price!!

Let me begin by saying I truly enjoyed my time in Alghero. This property was minutes from the airport and literally the beach is across the street. It’s centrally located near transportation to several beaches which is incredible! Also close to
Local bars (on beach) and restaurants. The staff was super friendly too. The property itself is a bit outdated and could be spruced up but otherwise I enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and tidy when I got back every night. I would definitely come back. Ohhh and had AC which gosh I needed.

The hotel shows good on the site but when we got there the wifi was only in the lobby, they have parking but not for all guests as there were no spots when we arrived. The bed and pillows are far from comfortable and the only sea view was if you stretched your head out and around a wall to see the sea. The staff however was very friendly.

The hotel was a little bit tired and dated but close enough to the city centre to walk and get parking. Staff were efficient and friendly and the room clean and tidy. However we paid for a sea view but to get it you had to be on the balcony and turn sideways . On that basis you could say all the rooms had a sea view. Not exactly what I was expecting but as we were out most of the time it didn’t matter too much but I’m sure others would complain.

Just one night- location chosen for proximity to airport. We were very comfortable and the clean toilet and shower were appreciated. Comfortable bed. The hotel was easy to find on the seafront. There was no dedicated parking but there were free spaces in the surrounding streets. Checking in and out was easy and the staff were pleasant and efficient. Would recommend.

Nice hotel, exceptional staff.

Nice hotel with out a doubt the most courteous staff at the reception desk who deserve a huge thank you for helping out as my friends luggage was lost by the airlines and they went above and beyond to help out and chase this up for us giving us regular updates also.
Location can't be beat in between the old town for sight seeing, tours and eating and Maria Pia beach both a leisurely 15min walk either way.
Some might say hotel may be dated and breakfast inadequate but the rooms are spacious and clean and can't be beaten on price as I have stayed at 3 different hotels in Alghero previously.
Added bonus is the 3 small bars located on the beachfront promenade across the rd, perfect for enjoying an appertive as the sun sets before strolling into the old town for dinner.
All in all very pleasurable experience.

Lovely hotel by the beach. We arrived very early and were allowed to leave luggage in storage and the same on the departure day. Staff were very helpful. Room size is reasonable and with balcony. About 20 minutes walk to town centre. Breakfast is basic. Beach is only 5 mins away. Hotel will allow to borrow chair and umbrella take to beach free.

Enjoyed our holiday very much. Just to mention we were in room 321. Not sure which room affected us but when the room either next to us or above us turned their taps on it made a terrible loud noise in our room, like a screeching, waking us up late at night or early in the morning. Perhaps someone would like to investigate this for future holiday makers staying in the same room as us. Other than that, lovely hotel, lovely breakfasts and great location. Alghero is a great place to stay.

Well situated right near to the beach

We stayed here from 11-18th July 2017, I had read the reviews from lots of people before selecting this hotel, and in my opinion the good reviews far outweighed the bad reviews, however.... here is my honest assessment of the hotel, staff, and facilities... When we arrived at the hotel my first impressions from the outside were a little disappointing because the overall look of the hotel was not what we expected from a 4 star establishment, it looked very tired from the outside and the feeling was the same as we checked into our room.
We were on the first floor, and the room was spacious but very out dated, definitely needs a makeover, ( there was a very old style TV in the room which to be honest I have thrown away better TV's at the tip! ) however we don't go on holiday to watch TV!

Breakfast was typical italian style - continental style, toast, croissant, cheese, ham etc which we enjoyed, never ate in the restaurant because we didn't like the look of the menu and to be honest there are some very good restaurants on Via Lido, pool area was small and one complaint I had was that the pool was never cleaned at all whilst we were there, & there was debris on the surface and on the bottom of the pool towards the end of our stay.

One very negative point my wife mentioned was the fact that you could not get a drink from the bar until around 4 o clock in the afternoon because there were no staff to serve you, she found that very annoying.

We arrived at the Soleado early afternoon & a very helpful receptionist had us checked in almost immediately. She pointed us in the right direction as to where to park our hire car for free. We found a very convenient space in a side road just to the rear of the hotel & left it there for our entire stay. Our room was not huge but had everything we required & was clean. The bathroom could do with an update(our shower door was bit wonky) but was ample for what we needed. Our room was to the right hand side of the hotel & we had the sun on our balcony afternoon/ evening with side facing sea views- lovely! I loved the swimming pool location at the front of the hotel & relaxed on the sun beds whilst my husband nipped across to the sea for a swim. Breakfast was plentiful with all the usual cereals, juices, breads & even a toaster which I didn't see anywhere else we stayed in sardinia. My husband enjoyed the boiled eggs!! At lunchtime we had a tasty toasted sandwich from the bar. We walked into Alghero old town in the evenings for dinner & I'd reckon it took us about 20mins along the front, in the evening sun, what more could you ask for. The old town is lovely & we spent hours strolling around. Alghero & the Soleado are both great to visit & we did get a great rate but that's possibly because it was June & bit quieter!!

This hotel has the potential to be much better, the staff at the checkin desk were not all helpful or professional and they never smiled (except for the blonde girl). It was almost impossible to open the bedroom door but when the girl on reception had to reluctantly come up to help me she said I wasnt 'engaging the mechanism'. Took me ages to lock and unlock it. I needed an adapter for my standard European adapter but they don't have any, something I found surprising in a 4 star hotel. The pool is nice but no one works at the bar so you have to ask the girl at reception to (again, very reluctantly) serve you.

The hotel is located very close to the beach and 1.5 km (~10 min walk) away from the historic center. The room was clean, spacious and had a balcony with a view of the sea.

Nice hotel close to Alghero old town

Soleado is not a 4 star hotel as you expect it, but it is in a fantastic location about 10 minutes walk away from Alghero old town.
The rooms are pretty basic but comfortable, nice shower and breakfast is ok.
If you can get this hotel for a cheap price it is definitely recommended as a base for exploring the amazing town of Alghero. It's also just across the road from the beach so if see view rooms must be very nice.

Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Air con seemed a bit temperamental but not too much of a problem in May. Good choice at breakfast although sometimes slow to replenish cheese and meats. Juice tasted watered down at times but great coffee machine made up for it. Nice sea view from balcony and great location. About 15-20 mins walk from old town and marina and a few restaurants with 5 mins walk, incl one set back a bit called \"Daps\" which we went to 3 times! 10 mins walk from train station - we visited Sassari this way. Good value for money, would recommend.

Love Alghero!,

Excellent location!! You are literally steps from the beach. Awesome hotel and amazing staff were very helpful in answering any questions. Short walk to the centre of the city, and an even shorter walk to the grocery store where you pick up some food and beer, since you have a fridge in the room. Only little downfall was that the air condition wasn't really working properly, but there was nice draft coming in with the windows open. Overall had a fantastic experience in Sardinia and the Soleado Hotel. Would definately come again!

Great hotel in a perfect location. Ideal for all.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was great. The pool was beautifully clean. The hotel was conveniently located for both the beach and the town. We appreciated being able to check in early (arrived early on a Ryan Air flight) and leave our bags and use the pool after checkout (left on a late Ryan Air flight). We were very pleased with our choice of hotel.

Good Value for Alghero

Location of hotel is right across the street from the beach. The room had fridge, safe, desk, TV etc and was decent size. The breakfast was included and was satisfactory. You can walk to the port or the old town in about 10 minutes along a lovely walk next to the beach. I had no problem parking my car at the hotel. For the price, it is a great place to stay.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and polite. The hotel is in a good location, about 15 minute walk into the old town. We travelled in mid-may and a lot of the hotel facilities were not available, i.e. lunch or dinner being served. The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size. It would have been nice if there had been tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel was good value for money and couldn't really complain for the price we paid.

Ok hotell med god beliggenhet, ca 15 min gange fra gamlebyen. Stranda, som var fin var ca 70 m fra hotellet, med en litt trafikkert vei mellom hotellet og stranda. Det største minuset var stolene på terrassen som var ubehagelige å sitte i. Nevnte dette for resepsjonisten som sa at de skulle pusse opp hotellet til høsten og da skulle dette også ordnes. Frokosten var enkel, men ok.

Helt okej hotell, det syns att det har några år på nacken. Men rent och ypperlig service i receptionen och restaurangen. Bra restaurang också, öppen hela dagen och fullbokat om kvällarna. Hårda och obekväma sängar, det är det överallt här verkar det som.

Classificado como 4 estrelas mas merece menos estrelas pelas instalações antigas, falta de comodidade e conforto do quarto. Cama e travesseiros desconfortáveis. Um ponto positivo é o terraço agradável no último andar. Não foi possível avaliar a piscina que estava em manutenção.

Hotel non proprio da quattro stelle.
Personale molto gentile e disponibile, pulizia molto curata, ottima la colazione e ottima posizione.
Le camere però sono un po’ troppo spartane, arredamento non da quattro stelle.
Ma la cosa più brutta i rumori degli sciacquoni dei bagni, durante la notte sono proprio insopportabili.
Ma nel complesso è promosso.

Leider waren wir vom Zustand des Hotels sehr enttäuscht. Badewanne und Armaturen verrostet. Drücker vom WC defekt und provisorisch mit Klebeband geklebt. Alte Möbel die gemuffelt haben. Das Schwimmbad war sehr klein, war immer belegt. Ringsrum vom Schwimmbad war Abends noch Restaurantbetrieb. Alles auf sehr wenig Platz ausgelegt. Frühstück war mittelmäßig. Für den Preis das es gekostet hat, hätten wir Besseres erwartet. Wir würden es nicht weiterempfehlen. Das einzige was uns sehr gefallen hat, war das wir zu Fuss alles schnell erreicht konnten, wie z.B den Wochenmarkt, die Albstadt, die Innenstadt, den Strand u.s.w.

Difficult to find parking. Cars are everywhere. Towels for the pool is not free and we did not get any info about this. The hotel is a 4 star hotel, this is not correct since 4 stars hotels have higher standards.

Assolutamente consigliato

Esperienza decisamente positiva. L’hotel si trova praticamente davanti alla spiaggia. La piscina è molto carina ed è una valida alternativa alla spiaggia. Le stanze sono piuttosto spartane, da rivedere, ma vengono pulite con minuzia. Non ho usufruito del servizio ristorante, ma ho notato che gli ospiti ne parlavano molto bene.

Langt fra 4 stjernet hotel eller service

Hotellet reklamerer med at være 4 stjerner men det er ikke mere end 2 stjerner.

Da vi ankom var vandet i poolen helt grøn og gul langs kanten.

Størrelsen på værelsetø var ok men kvaliteten af sengene var langt fra som man forventer af et 4 stjernet hotel. De var alt for bløde med tynde metalfjedre.
Derudover var et par af håndklæderne og det ene sengetøj beskidt.
Vi oplevede også at der kravlede skægkræ på værelset og badeværelset

Badeværelset var slidt og når man skulle trækket ud i toilettet, skulle man holde en knap inde for at lade vandet løbe, når man slap knappen larmede det i alle vandrørene. Det gjorde at man vågnede om natten når andre på hotellet trak ud i toilettet.
Vi informerede hotellet om poolen og rengøringen, men de sagde bare at poolen blev gjort ren hver dag og var fin at bade i.
Vi skrev vores bemærkninger til hotel manageren gennem Hotels men har stadig 4 dage efter ikke hørt noget,
Vi valgte at rejse 1 dag før tid uden nogen kommentarer fra hotellet eller nogen kompensation, det er dårlig kundeservice.

Lite og hyggelig hotell. Fantastisk beliggenhet i nærheten av strendene. Veldig bra restaurant, men veldig enkel frokost. Rommene var store og fine, men sengene hadde veldig harde madrasser.

Fin beliggenhet i forhold til strand, beach clubs, restauranter og gamlebyen. Litt utdatert, men rent. Du må like hard seng, den var bra for meg men ikke for alle. Det var veldig lytt fra gangen og inn på rommet. Takterrassen var stengt, noe som var veldig synd, og bassengområdet var veldig lite. Veldig god mat på restauranten for lunsj og middag.

Inte 4-stjärnigt

Detta är inte ett 4-stjärnigt hotell. Väldigt slitet, känsla av kommunal inrättning med korridorer och möbler från 70-talet. Plastmuggar vid frukosten. takterrassen som omnämns var stängd. Mini-bar var ett ljummet, tomt kylskåp. Gardinerna i badrummet hade använts som handduk, färgen flagade i taket och balkongmöbler, AC osv var väldigt slitna och rostiga. Det var dock välstädat och den lilla poolen var okej. Läget nära stranden var också bra. Var hotellet hade egna solstolar på stranden (som det står att de ska ha) är dock oklart. Hade denna annonserats som 2- eller möjligen 3-stjärnigt hade jag nog inte förväntat mig mer.

Et noget nedslidt hotel (værelser) restaurant er fin. Rengøring roder i hvilke håndklæder de ikke lægger på værelset for dag til dag. Ikke særlig godt wifi, toiletbrættet løst, al strøm slukkes når man trækker kortet op af kontakten dermed slukker køleskabet og AC, det er ikke godt i temp på op til 39-40 grader.

La gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale sono il fiore all'occhiello di questa struttura alberghiera. L'hotel però è datato ed avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione completa. I materassi pur essendo nuovi (doreland sprint) non sono supportati da una rete idonea e pertanto risultano troppo morbidi e si affossa.
