La Malandrina is on the corner between Via I Dionisio and via Salita Castelmola, close to the Roman boundary wall and about 100 metres away from Corso Umberto I and the gate of Porta Catania. The ancient Norman palace, known as Badia Vecchia is also very close.

Such a strategic position thus allows our guests to enjoy a complete holiday, sharing their time between the seaside, shopping , restaurants, excursions, night-life, exhibitions, concerts, opera and ballet performances which take place in the ancient Greek Amphitheatre between June and September. The building, constructed about 45 years ago, came into existence, because of a romance, a promise of marriage and the beginning of a lovely family.

He came from a far distant town, whereas she was from Taormina. After some time and after many love-filled visits, they decided to get married and start a family together.

Thirty years later, the family decided to transform the place into a holiday residence, so over 10 months' restructuring took place– the walls, the windows and terraces, all the electric and water plants , all the window and door frames were overhauled, the finest, oak patterned flooring laid, the walls re-decorated and high-quality fittings provided for all the bathrooms. All the work was carried out by dedicated local craftsmen.

The result is a series of apartments and suites. The interiors and the decorative elements are all strictly Italian, including the fabrics, the workmen, the furniture, the curtain-makers, the lamp-producers, the people who made the sofas, armchairs, chairs, cupboards carried out their work with loving attention to the smallest detail, so that a guest can feel as comfortable and at home as possible, surrounded by beautiful interiors.

Taormina is at the centre of a historic and highly picturesque area which captures the admiration of visitors from Italy and from all over the world, increasing the number of people who crowd the narrow streets of the ancient town every year.

Fin utsikt från lägenheten (nr 1) på första våningen med havsutsikt. Nyrenoverad, stilfull lägenhet med fina inredningsdetaljer. Rent med över förväntan exellent service och hjälpsam personal. I köksdelen finns det som behövs för enklare matlagning. Nära till centrala Fina Taormina. Summerat ett toppenboende på alla sätt.

My jaw may have dropped a bit waking into the suite. It is nicely appointed and has the most amazing rooftop deck with a view of the sea. I may have missed seeing some other things in Taormina because I was obsessed with enjoying the outdoor space! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, giving local recommendations and helping figure out local transportation. It was a staircase away from the Courso Umberto but far enough away you felt a bit out of the fray. I loved the location, the view, the amenities and staff! (Special mention to Marcello who was the real hero!) I did not want to leave. What a beautiful stay in Taormina.

We had an incredible two night stay at La Malandrina Apartments & Suites. Initially we were looking for a hotel but after reading the positive reviews we decided to give a roomier apartment a try. We didn't regret it and loved having the extra space. We were in the Penthouse Terrace with Sea View and the apartment was very modern and clean and the view was incredible. We enjoyed having coffee on the Terrace in the mornings and looking out at Mt Etna and the sea. The location is so convenient, only a short walk down the hill to the Corso yet the area was very quiet at night. The agent Sara was amazing, so friendly and helpful and her English was excellent. Would highly recommend La Malandrina Apartments & Suites to anyone coming to Taoromina.

Loved our stay in this beautiful well kept place. Easily accessible by car, walking distance to town (40 steps and 3 minutes walk). Everything about this place checked the box, Very comfortable for longer stays, super clean, gorgeous view, comfortable bed, and spacious room. Kitchen had all the necessities, great water pressure in the shower which is hard to find in the buildings in Europe.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hotel is in a perfect location - walkable to plenty of restaurants and shops but also tucked away in a quiet area. We stayed in the panoramic suite and the views were exceptional. The hotel was spotless and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend booking a day at beach through the hotel staff at Lido La Pigna. When we come back to Sicily we will be staying here again!

Perfect apartment for my family of four. Apartment is situated not too far from the city center, close to all shopping and dining, and was very clean. Concierge was attentive from the second we got there and provided great recommendations for places to dine and things to do. They helped us make arrangements for our day at the beach from transport, to the umbrella/ lounger rental at the beach club. If you are traveling to Taormina, highly recommend.

The hotel is modern, well built and rooms are beautiful with kitchen and sitting area. There was valet parking where you paid 25-30 euros per day to separate parking company. The hotel is located on the upper level of Taormina, away from the crowds, but easy to get everywhere by foot. We took the cable car down to beach in the morning and hiked up to the church.

La Malandrina Apts. is a great alternative to some of the costly hotels in Taormina. The location is great. Only a short walk to the city center. The Apartments are spacious, clean and have all the necessary amenities.
The staff is extremely helpful with information about parking, directions or restaurant reservations. Taormina is not an easy town to drive. We enjoyed our stay and highly recomend La Makandrina.

Very close the main shopping strip and restaurants / bars. A shower that had pressure is an absolute bonus in Italy! Extremely clean, spacious with all the facilities you would need for a long stay. We would not hesitate booking La Malandrina again. Sara and Marcello very helpful in organising beach clubs, taxis and recommending best places to eat out. It felt like a home away from home! Truly beautiful apartment with full kitchen, bathroom, lounge area and outside balcony. Quiet at night leaves you having a restful sleep.

What a wonderful property! Located in a quiet area, but just steps from the Main Street of Taormina with Duomo, dining and shopping. Sara and Marcello made our stay extra special! Sara was kind enough to arrange valet for our car, which was very convenient. Both she and Marcello were so friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with them each day as we departed or arrived to the property. We stayed in room 4 - large, beautiful room with efficient kitchenette and gorgeous terrace from which we watched Mount Etna erupt one night. Sara and Marcell gave us dining suggestions and recommended pottery shops. They both made our stay extra special and we would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Taormina getway location

LaMalandrina is a wonderful apartment complex. We stayed 3 nights and we just wanted more! The apartment was very well stocked with necessities and all mechanical systems and WIFI worked well and the unit overall was spotless, clean and comfortable.

The location is amazing, a short walk down the steps and you are in the very heart of the Taormina shopping/walking district. A supermarket was only a short walk away. Everyone at LaMalandrina were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this location. Worthy of note, there is no pool/outdoor lounge area, but we were there in the fall of 2023 and so there was no need for a pool or lounging in the sun. Also, there are no laundry facilities in the unit so If you want this please check if there are any options. Considering this is an \"apartment\" a washer really would have helped.

We drove to Taormina from Cefalu and parked in public parking outside of town - per recommendation by staff. Apartment was in a great location but we realized we overpacked when carrying our luggage up hills & stairs to access the front door. However the views and accommodations were worth it. Did not use their laundry facilities but went down the street & used the public laundromat which was fast & easy. Also close to the Deco grocery store. Easy walk to main part of town. Would definitely stay here again,

This is the best option while in town for 1 or 2 people. Gorgeous views, best location, so helpful and wonderful staff. I prefer this option to hotel. Loved cooking too.

Must stay while in Taromina.

The most wonderful accommodation we've ever had in Taormina. After 7 visits to this gorgeous town with stays at best hotels we wanted a little more space for some real R &R . We booked the panoramic suite & WOW !!! We will be back to stay here again & again.
Absolutely everything you could possibly want . Magnificent Views ,; luxury in every detail of decor and design ; daily housekeeping was prompt and impeccably clean . Lots of space including a walk in wardrobe for all luggage . Close to Corso Umberto / porta catania yet very quiet. With supermarket 2mins away .
Christian and the whole team all went above and beyond our expectations. Can't say enough great words , JUST DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND STAY HERE .

We had a fabulous stay at these apartments. The staff were so friendly, the apartments were beautiful and in a fantastic location within easy walking distance of the centre. We will definitely be back, some of the best accommodation we have ever stayed in!

Amazing deal

Everything was absolutely perfect and well managed. The house is located a bit outside of the center, and it's an apartment on its own. It has an amazing view on the sea and Etna, is extremely well furnished and in amazing condition. The concierge was super helpful with advice and incredibly available for seaside bookings. Really, really recommended.

Taormina is beautiful and this property and it’s management are excellent.
However, driving and parking is very, very difficulty.
It can make for a lot of stress while in vacation.
Better to take the property’s advice and get a car service to take you to the city and the deliver you to your next destination. In conclusion, the property gets a 10 out of 10. Driving is a nightmare!

Guys! Stop looking for apartments! This family room is the absolute best and felt like home. I traveled with my family and my 2 year old son. It Has EVERYTHING you need and everything is in perfect modern condition. Christian checked us in and helped us with anything we needed. The cleaning staff was so kind and helpful & THE LOCATION IS PERFECT. Just rent it!

Our host was wonderful! Gave awesome recommendations for dining and things to do and see. The room was very clean and spacious. Not much of a view but we did not spend much time in our room anyway. Centrally located. The only negatives: the entrance was very difficult to find and we thought breakfast was included. My son drove past the entrance three times (and if you have ever been to Taormina, you know this is not an easy Task). Fortunately, once I called, our host met us on the side of the road. That said, I think it was a bit pricey for what we received.

Impeccably maintained property, fantastic

This is our 2nd time having only stayed a few months back with my mum and oldest son in April. The experience was so good, we came back with my whole family; wife and 4 kids. We have our own holiday home in Ricadi, Calabria of a very high standard and wanted a few days in Taoromina for a change. We have high expectations and they were all met. The apartment is 5 star in quality and style and the service could not been better, cannot fault, STAY THERE!

Ultimately Gorgeous view of town and beaches below and such sensibly decorated suite room! We were welcomed by kind host couple who guided us with great restaurants and tour sites! We loved blood orange juice and almond cookies they offered us at arrival! It’s conveniently located in the heart of town nearby supermercato and shops. Very cozy and super comfortable! No street parking but public parking 5min walking distance or valet parking available.

Extremely nice in all aspects! We were given a map with suggestions for dining, excursions, .. the location is a very close (2 mins) walk to Corsa Umberto. ( most shops, restaurants ). Nathalie and staff made our stay perfect! Helped w flight changes, taxi. Our room had a kitchen ( we cooked 2 nights). We were greeted w Orange juice and pastry in our room. Tha Air conditioners worked excellent.. each window has electronic shutters and curtains to provide privacy and reduce any outside noise.. kept the room dark for sleeping! Beautiful views, 5 Stars for our stay! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very comfortable apartment in Taormina

We stayed for six nights in a studio apartment at La Malandrina. The location was good, very close to Corso Umberto, the main street which is pedestrianised. The décor was good and the apartment was cleaned everyday with bed linen and towels changed regularly. There was a kitchenette as well as living/bedroom and en-suite bathroom. It is advertised as having a balcony (which it did), but the balcony wasn't big enough to sit out and didn't get any sun. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and advice about parking - you need to use a public car park. Would advise using Satnav to locate the apartment - the name isn't very prominent.

Taormina is lovely, as is the countryside which is very green in April. We booked two excursions, one to Palermo and one to Etna which were both well organised and interesting; both needed an early start, but worth it.

good location

The hotel is small and nice, but the pillows and mattress much too hard. Floors and baseboards needef better cleaning , in addition to cushion covers on pato wicker furniture and decorative pilos, which can easily be unzippered and washed. Location was perfect, away from busy center, and hotel staff were very nice!
