The room we wound up with was lovely. Clean, and nicely decorated. The hotel itself was amazing- beautiful old house right in the most historic area, filled with antiques. Staff and breakfast were exceptional.

I don’t normally write reviews but this hotel is worthy of an exception. It really is a special hotel just a few steps away from the buzz of Corso Umberto I and the heart of Taormina.

The property itself is beautiful and has been sensitively converted from a grand private residence into a lovely small hotel but honestly it’s the staff who make the place so special. We were welcomed like family (and handed a glass of Prosecco at check-in) and then treated like honoured guests by everyone we interacted with but especially so by Nino, xx and yy.

Our room was on the top floor of the main building, honestly it was fairly small but with a good sized bathroom and had a small balcony with a view of both the sea and Mount Etna looming over the rooftops of Taormina. Everything about the room was well thought out to maximise the space and we had a very comfortable 3 night stay.

We were travelling around Sicily and did have a hire car and so had to drive to the hotel, but we followed the instructions we had received by WhatsApp before we arrived and it all went very smoothly. We didn’t need the car again until after we’d checked out.

We loved the local products used for breakfast, much of which comes from either local suppliers - like the bread, hams, cheeses, jams and honey - or is made in their kitchen. They will also whip you up eggs of your choosing on request.

From the moment we arrived we wete welcomed like family, offered breakfast as they organised our room for early check in.
The hotel was loveky, with beautiful gardens and pool. The views in the garden and bar were fabulous. My only issue, which was a very small one, was hot water in shower wasn't as hot as i like it. But considering it was summer with 35•c outside, it was fine. Breakfast was wonferful everyday, with little cooked surprises, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh cheese cold meats, breads, pancakes and pastries. They also make eggs however you like. We would definitely stay here again

After a white knuckle drive to get to the town center of Taormina (Welcome to Taormina!), we finally were able to relax and quickly settle in once we checked in to Hotel Villa Taormina. What an amazing gem of a property! This boutique hotel is located in an extremely convenient location in Taormina. It's a fully restored villa with approximately 15–20 rooms, and absolutely gorgeous. It's family run and the staff was more than welcoming and friendly. They really made us feel at home and almost part of the family. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and cozy. The views from the pool deck and bar are spectacular with amazing views of the sea and Mt. Etna. I am already planning my next visit to Taormina and will undoubtedly stay at Hotel Villa Taormina.

Charming hotel on the cliffs of Taormina

Villa Taormina and its hosts are as charming as the eponymous town. Our room was lovely and sizeable, easily able to fit a cot for our teenager. The beds were so comfortable -- critical after a day of hiking up the local cliffs. Our room's balcony opened onto a sweet garden area with a pool. The abundant breakfast buffet was served in a bright, balconied room on the top floor looking over the sea and Mt Etna. Our hosts guided us to the best local restaurants, regaled us with stories about the history of the hotel and the town, and made us feel like family friends. The heart of town, with its sweet restaurants and shops, was a few steps away.

This was our best stay in a 3-week Sicily trip.

On arrival we were greeted by Nino who checked us into a very nice room(it actually had a chandelier).

Later we met Martina and she chatted with us and provided great suggestions over the 2-3 days we were there.

And then Marta made us all kinds of drinks in the evening.

The villa is gorgeous and the breakfast was amazing (including made to order eggs).

I recommend this place heartily.

A gem in Taormina.

We loved it. We love small hotels with good service who make you feel welcomed and this fit the bill. only with living room rooms, our broom was beautiful and had a lovely view. The staff could not have been friendlier, with Martina actually spending almost an hour with us, orienting us to the hotel and the neighborhood. Downstairs for a few minutes left us in the heart of Taormina, a friendly, happy, thriving little town with beautiful views all over. The staff at breakfast was also friendly and saw to our our every need. Artwork in the rooms and all over the hotel.Absolutely wonderful little stay. Wish we had more than two nights to spend.

The villa is beautiful and extremely convenient to the center of Taormina. The staff and hosts were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and rooftop bar was very picturesque. Be warned however there are a LOT of stairs to get around the property so if you have mobility issues you should discuss room location with staff when booking. You do not want or need a car and it is difficult even navigating crowded Taormina to get to the hotel by car.

The best part of this property was by far the staff. They made our stay as comfortable as possible. They fulfilled every request no matter how small or big. They gave excellent recommendations, booked taxis, brought drinks to our room, helped move our bags, helped us figure out our travel plans as things changed. They truly made a huge difference in our trip and it wouldn’t have been the same without them. I really felt that they cared about us as one of their own.

Not to mention the rooms were very comfortable. The style of the villa was also contemporary yet historic. 15/10 would recommend to everyone.

As soon as we stepped under the canopy of the hotel the door was opened and we was made to feel so welcome! We was given a glass of Prosecco and shown the local area via map. The breakfast was stunning and the homemade granola and pastries are to die for. This hotel is something special! Down to the gardens, to the views and decor. They’ve got it so right! It smells amazing and the products in the bathroom are also Sicilian branded. I loved the fact we could what’s app also if we needed anything. Every single staff member at this hotel was amazing!!! We loved it and hopefully one day we can return. This is as our first ever vacation to Italy and it did not disappoint. Villa Taormina is a gorgeous boutique hotel with an exceptionally warm, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The rooms are lovely, and the location is perfect -- very central but on a small side street. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff is what really makes a difference: they are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay better. Things like making dinner reservations, helping you with deliveries, recommendations, buying dinner for you, searching for specific stores, etc… it was amazing my stay there

I rate their service as top 1 or 2 of all the hotels I ever stayed and has a beautiful view of Mt Etna. All the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is an excellent one. Special thanks to Elena who made all our dinner reservations, walk up to us to hand us the key and Luca who help us parked our car perfectly each time we returned,

The hotel is lovely. Not close to the water, but very close to Corso Umberto, the main shopping street in Taormina and a short walk to the amphitheater. Our room was a new addition located in the garden (which was lovely), large condo with a loft, and we appreciated the space as we were traveling with our 14 year old daughter. The staff cannot be more professional and nice. We got lost on our way back from a small trip around Taomirna and someone from the staff came and drove the car back to the hotel with remarkable skill. The breakfast is amazing, has also savory options. Overall, we loved the hotel. However, if you want something close to the water, there are other 4 stars hotels at comparable price that have a sea view from the room and a pool, but we did not regret our choice for a second.

Best location with nicest stagf

This property has the best location in Taormina. The employees could not be nicer or more accommodating . Elena and Antonio at reception would do absolutely anything to please there guests. Michael at the bar and the gentlemen making fresh breakfast in addition to the buffet were great. The only thing I would change is too many pieces of antiques and I did not like the furniture throws. I think that's just a matter of personal taste but felt too clutter for my liking.

First of all the staff was amazing as soon as we got to the hotel. Helpful, polite, kind, pleasant to interact with. Elena gave us recommendations and the summary of what to do in Taormina, she is a wonderful person, so helpful and kind. The room was clean and spacious even better than I expected. The facilities are also very nice. Location is excellent, you can literally walk anywhere. Check in check out was smooth and the staff again helped a lot. Overall 11 out of 10. Thank you!

La Malandrina is on the corner between Via I Dionisio and via Salita Castelmola, close to the Roman boundary wall and about 100 metres away from Corso Umberto I and the gate of Porta Catania. The ancient Norman palace, known as Badia Vecchia is also very close.

Such a strategic position thus allows our guests to enjoy a complete holiday, sharing their time between the seaside, shopping , restaurants, excursions, night-life, exhibitions, concerts, opera and ballet performances which take place in the ancient Greek Amphitheatre between June and September. The building, constructed about 45 years ago, came into existence, because of a romance, a promise of marriage and the beginning of a lovely family.

He came from a far distant town, whereas she was from Taormina. After some time and after many love-filled visits, they decided to get married and start a family together.

Thirty years later, the family decided to transform the place into a holiday residence, so over 10 months' restructuring took place– the walls, the windows and terraces, all the electric and water plants , all the window and door frames were overhauled, the finest, oak patterned flooring laid, the walls re-decorated and high-quality fittings provided for all the bathrooms. All the work was carried out by dedicated local craftsmen.

The result is a series of apartments and suites. The interiors and the decorative elements are all strictly Italian, including the fabrics, the workmen, the furniture, the curtain-makers, the lamp-producers, the people who made the sofas, armchairs, chairs, cupboards carried out their work with loving attention to the smallest detail, so that a guest can feel as comfortable and at home as possible, surrounded by beautiful interiors.

Taormina is at the centre of a historic and highly picturesque area which captures the admiration of visitors from Italy and from all over the world, increasing the number of people who crowd the narrow streets of the ancient town every year.
