I booked their Suite. Shower floor was dirty and shower pressure was almost non existent on the hot side. Safe did not work even after they re-set it. I requested they repair the shower twice, but they did not. No beach. Dangerous walk to center area and Parking lot, as there are no sidewalks. They require an additional fee to park which is ridicules considering the only parking lot available is more than a 1/2 Km away. They run out of food for breakfast and only replace the trays after you complain. Avoid this hotel !!!!

Unforgettable stay

We had one of the best stays ever at this hotel. It was an amazing experience from the arrival, where we were greeted by the lovely Luana, she checked us in and briefly explained everything. We arrived earlier and were allowed to leave the lugguages in reception and make the most of the day at the lido just a 100 yards walk from reception. The gardens were beautiful and the private access to the beach was amazing. Lunch choices at the lido and the quality of the food was top notch. We had a sea view room that was very well furnished, with an extremely comfy bed and a modern shower. The hotel is literally 3 minutes walk from one of the main car parks where you can either get a bus to go to Taormina Centro or take the cable
Car. 5 minutes walk further you can find Isola Bella, which is again breathtaking. The hotel itself is above a beautiful and quiet bay, where you can watch the sun rising , and the sea is crystal clear. The breakfast was of great quality too and with the opportunity to start the day on a terrace with breathtaking views. Support was also at the ready to arrange some excursions or provide great advise on local restaurants. 5 stars all around, from a Sicilian - Polish couple

Super noisy, could hear every conversation in the hallway and whoever is on the balcony. AC was weak and could not cool the room appropriately. Walking to the lift car is a little dangerous but do-able. Hotel was clean overall.

I wasn’t really disappointed, but the description and photos for this place were misleading, and it was not what I expected. There is no direct beach access. The walls and ceilings are very thin, so you could hear everyone coming and going, chairs scraping, doors squeaking, etc. Also, there is no restaurant on site, no room service, and no laundry facilities. The train passes by several times a day and it is loud.
However, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and it was easy to get transported to where we wanted to go. Short walk to eateries and the Taormina cable car. The room was very clean and comfortable. And the garden is pretty.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The staff were phenomenal, friendly and helpful. In fact, a sweet server from breakfast had a touching farewell hug with my wife when we left as we had connected with her during our stay. During our 3 week trip, we stayed at multiple locations, while our best sleeps were at this hotel. Breakfast had great assortment, very fresh and delicious. Rooms super clean, modern and bathroom was the same. Paid parking onsite with free option on road. Youll want to drive to restaurants since the road is narrow and hilly making it a bit dangerous to walk from the hotel. Highly recommend.

Best stay on our Italy trip

Our stay here was amazing! I wish we could give it 10 out of 5 stars. We landed in Palermo and did not like the hotel we originally booked. We were able to book at hotel baia delle sirene last minute. From the very beginning the front desk, Giusy, was very helpful! We were scheduled to arrive at 2am but the front desk closed around 10pm. Giusy assured us that it wouldn’t be an issue and after making the very long trip we arrived and the room was ready for us! Spacious shower and bathroom and comfy beds! In the morning we proceeded to “check in” and Giusy helped us once again. She mentioned several nice places and beaches to visit which we did and had a great time. After staying two nights we were on the move again and headed to a beach not far from the hotel before checking into our next one. They called us shortly after checking out to notify us that we left a necklace behind and offered to ship it to us. Since we were in the area we decided to go back for it immediately since it was a special personal item and fairly expensive. We are extremely satisfied with our experience and would definitely recommend staying here. If we ever decide to visit Sicily in the future we know where to stay for a fun and relaxing, safe experience. Thanks again Giusy!!!

Terrible Customer Service, Avoid!

The service at this hotel was frankly awful. I contacted them prior to my stay to enquire about parking at the property, to which they replied that there was no parking, and we would need to park at one of the 2 car parks in town. Both car parks were a 45 minute walk away, down 300 steps. Once we arrived at the hotel, there was a car park outside. They had the audacity to ask if we would like to park there for €15. We were absolutely furious. Really poor service. They also neglected to inform us the cable car was out of action, so walking was our only option. The hotel was reasonably clean I guess, but very dated, and the air con doesn't work.

The welcome and staff are the mainstay of this property. They are all dedicated to providing an excellent service. They also obviously work very well together, creating a professional but relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
There were some minor issues with maintenance but they were soon resolved.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The ladies at the recepcion were very gentle and always ready to help. I had a roblem with my rented car and the lady encharged of the recepction, friday morning (june 1st) did everything she could to help me, contacting the car rental etc. Really very good attitude and great service. Also the lady that attended the breakfasts. I recommend it!!

The hotel was a bit difficult to find, because it is away from the rest of the town and down on the beach. You can see the sea from the balcony. The staff are extremely obliging and helpful. The room was nice and clean and very commendable were the bed mattresses < not the spongey type but nice and firm. Everything was to our liking and we would definitely recommend it to our friends.

We needed a hotel to stay in as a pit stop for our Etna excursion and this very much did the job. Not somewhere I would stay for a relaxing holiday though. The staff were very helpful and arranged a taxi for us. There is a cable car that runs into Taormina centre which is a ten minute walk from the hotel, which is really helpful. The entry to the sea was a bit gross, the jetty is covered with seaweed and the beach was rocks not sand. Don't bother with the sea view, it's mostly just palm trees and also backs onto a busy railway with very loud trains.

Wow! Exceptional! This is the place to beat!

We loved our stay and would love to stay again one day. The location is excellent and only a short stroll to the beach where there are umbrellas and deck chairs exclusively reserved for hotel guests. The breakfast is also excellent with a variety of food and coffee on offer. There is a restaurant that is definitely worth a try not only for the amazing views, but more so because of the dedicated staff and exceptional chef who is a local and takes pride in his meals. The front desk ladies are super helpful, always willing to go out of their way to suggest tours, sights and activities. While not a four star hotel, I would not look past staying here again; it's a place that will etch into your memory from the moment you set your luggage onto the reception floor.

Comfortable hotel close to beach & stunning views

We had a lovely week at this hotel in mid June.
We were made extremely welcome by the reception staff.
We arrived several hours before check in time but our room was made available to us at no extra charge.
Breakfast was plentiful and there was a good selection to choose from.
The beach was just a step away.
Only one negative is the walk to the nearest shops/restaurant was along a quite busy road (with no pavements)
Good location for Taormina town and Greek Theatre.

Lovely quiet hotel a short walk from the cable ca.

Although close to the railway line, the trains are infrequent and not noisy. The hotel has great views over the sea, and car parking. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the sea.

Fine for a one night stay

This hotel has pros and cons. Pros: fantastic views from rooftop breakfast area. Breakfast was good - with a large variety of food. Cons: our room had a view of binbags and meter cupboard. We had to ask for a key for the safe. Taxi needed for getting to and from station - 15 euros each way. Cable car or taxi needed to get into Taormina - 9 euros for cable car, 15 for taxi. Hotel restaurant was closed the night we were there. We asked for a recommendation for somewhere to eat and when we went to restaurant it too was closed. Photos we had seen showing sunloungers on artificial grass by sea were old - no sign of either although other hotel on same stretch of sand nearby had loungers out on the beach.

Gem by the sea.

Hotel Baia Delle Sirene is small, intimate, and full of character. All the staff - reception, bar, restaurant, cleaning - were friendly and pleasant at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were informative and arranged trips and transport for us. We really felt that it was important to them that we were comfortable and had a good stay.
The hotel's location is great, next to the sea, with easy, private access to a small platform with sun loungers, the beach and sea. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a short walk to the cablecar which takes you up to Taormina town centre.
Breakfast on the terrace, with its stunning views, was the perfect way to start the day.

The good points: Reception staff were excellent, welcoming and informative.
Generally, the room was comfortable.
Dinner in the evening was very good and excellent value for money, particularly in Taormina!

Not so good: The shower was likely to change temperature and/or pressure too frequently.
Noise from the railway line directly in front of the hotel, trains at frequent intervals from 06.30 to 23.30.

We used Hotel Baia delle Sirene as a base to tour the area of Etna and Taormina. The hotel had parking and a fantastic deck to have drinks in the evening. What else could you ask for? The first night we ate in the restaurant, not expecting much, but were greatly surprised at the authenticity and quality of the food.

Wonderful staff very nice and helpful.. Breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, great display of good and healthy breads, yogurt, coffee, teas .. The only thing we were not happy was the mold in the ceiling apparently it had rained a lot few days before we arrived. If they had taken care of this before guests arrived I would say it was a great hotel to stay.

Great location for the beach

The staff was very helpful but we had plumbing issues, the hotel does not have enough hot water for their guests. Two of the three mornings I had to shower in cold water! I learned my lesson and was up early to get the hot water first. They have steps down to an absolutely beautiful beach but due to the rain we could not enjoy. The setting was outstanding so if you are looking for a good value I would recommend if the hotel fixes their issues of plumbing!

Small hotel handy for the beach

After an horrendous journey (flight delays and getting lost in Catania) the very warm welcome by the on duty staff member was appreciated. All of the front desk staff were very helpful and knowledgeable answering all of our questions (however banal) with grace.
The rest of the staff (maids and resturant) were also helpful,and cheery. The breakfast was samey but plentiful and perfectly adequate.

Baia Delle Sirene is a lovely little place very close to the beach. Staff are friendly and caring. The view on the bay with its blue sea, tropical plants and rugged coast line at breakfast is unbeatable.

Pleasant hotel near to Taormina

The hotel is set in pleasant grounds and the lido is only a short walk from the gardens. Although there is access to the sea from the decking, it isn't easy to get in or out due to the rocky nature of the coast. There is a small railway between the hotel and coast but the lido is accessed via a footpath that passes under the line. The trains are quite infrequent and do not detract from either the lido or gardens.

Although the lido is very basic it is more than good enough for sunbathing. If something a bit better serviced is required, just 100m up the coast is one of the best beach bars I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. La Caravella is an absolute must visit even if you're staying in Taormina proper.

The rooms were always clean and fresh, although the air conditioning was a little on the feeble side. As we were holidaying in June, this wasn't a problem.

The bar and restaurant were perfectly acceptable, but with Taormina on your doorstep, you would probably want to eat and drink out. Again breakfast was acceptable with a reasonable selection but the hot food options was limited to just boiled eggs too often.

A 600m stroll takes you to the bottom of the cable car up to Taormina, which costs 3 Euros per person each way. A taxi, which comes into the hotel grounds costs 15 Euros one way. Taormina is very vibrant, and heavily tourist oriented. There are dozens of quaint and good value restuarants to be found

This hotel was quite charming, although the room we had was probably the least desirable. The staff was quite apologetic about the fact that it was all that was available. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location on the beach made our stay quite pleasant. Railway tracks are a bit of an interference with the view, but fortunately did not interrupt our sleep.

Charming spot on the sea

Good location on the sea. The "private beach" is a quick walk away but is just a deck with connection to the actual [stone] beach. Nothing wrong with it though unless you are expecting something else. Also a quick walk to the funicular to reach the Historic District of Taormina up on the hill. Building is a bit aging but well maintained. We had a nice lady at reception but a grumpy lady trying to shoo us out of the room on checkout day. The reception was not helpful with tourism info.

some reservations initially re reviewers comments about the train line runnining thro' the garden.

Although there is...less noticeable than road traffic at home. My main point about the train was that it added to the quirkiness. This was the sort of hotel where you wouldn't be surprised to find Maggie Smith or Miriam Margolies on reception. So pleasing we cancelled another part of our trip to stay an extra two nights.
Access to a private Lido was sooo easy. Water was great.

My only reservation was that in commo9n with most of Taormina it was a little expensive.

Would I stay again. A most emphatic yes.

Quiet, beautiful and out of the fray

A converted villa, this 24-room hotel surpassed our expectations of a quiet getaway in the middle of a busy tourist season. Our rooms were very clean and pleasant. Some may find them small but we did not spend much time in the room and loved the view of the ocean through the tropical garden. Best of all was the proximity to the water. Through the garden, down a few steps and we were sitting on a beautiful rocky Sicilian beach less than 50 yards from the hotel. We also loved the fact that we could get to the middle of action in Taormina by walking 10 minutes to the cable car and enjoy gorgeous views traveling up and down the mountain, then return to utter quiet when we had had enough. The staff were so kind and accommodating from arranging excursions, packing a breakfast for our early departure and even providing first aid for a twisted knee. They were great. The restaurant on the top floor overlooked the ocean and served a continental breakfast that more than met our needs. Guests also have the options for lunch and dinner, which were deliciously prepared with fresh local ingredients. One minor drawback with any beach hotel here is the train, but they are generally short quiet commuter trains with only 4-5 cars or freight trains with less than 15 cars. This was not a big deal to us but worth mentioning for those who may mind. We stayed for over a week and still did not see all that we wanted to in the area. We would certainly book this hotel again on a return trip to Sicily.

Right by the Sea

I have enjoyed this hotel tremendously, it is exactly what i was looking for. I had a Sea view room (make sure to get it) and was in heaven. The staff where very helpful and polite. We had a problem with the WiFi, the signal was very weak or non existent at times. After much complaint from my Friend the staff managed to upgrade the Wifi and we were able to access it from our rooms. I definitely recommend this hotel. If you need the italian Sicilan experience book this hotel.

Hotel Baia delle Sirene-romantic villa by the sea

We stayed in the hotel Baia delle Sirene in April 2011 for 7 nights. It's a classical Italian villa in a very well maintained garden with its own path to the sea.The staff is very friendly, speaking perfect English. Dinners are well cooked, abundance of fresh fish and vegetables, reasonably priced for the area. The staff in the restaurant very pleasant and polite.
The proximity of the railroad didn't spoil the stay as the sea was much noisier. The one defect is the way to the cable car via the road with no pavement. Overall impression is very good, although I would recommend staying in Sicily from mid May onwards as the weather in April was unstable.

Hotel Baia Delle Sirene

Amazing location, right by the water & a 10 minute walk down the street from shops, restaurants, grocery market. The hotel is located down from a windy street with fast-moving cars, but so is every hotel. A train also runs through the edge of the hotel property, but this is the case for all the waterfront hotels. Great continental breakfast on the terrace & an incredible solarium with a ramp down to the crystal clear water. The main village is located at the top of the mountain, so you can either walk or take the air tram/gondola for a small fee. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated, but that didn't bother us much. Lots of daily excursions to take- to different cities or even water fun (jet ski's, boating) that the hotel manager will easily arrange for you. Loved this place & would recommend it to anyone- we wish we could have stayed longer!

Balisimo!! Loved this Hotel

This was the best hotel experience of my holiday in Southern Italy & Sicily. I initially booked 3 nughts but ended up staying 6 & wished once I had left that I had stayed longer.

All the staff were so helpfu & made you really feel welcome & at home. Nothing was too much trouble.
The restaurant food was very good & generous @ reasonable prices. Service good too.
Veiws are amazing as are the beautiful gardens & sitting areas.
Some others have commented on the trains which can be a disturbance but on the other hand they give you an opportunity for early starts exploring Taormina & the surrounding areas.

You just don't want to leave this beautiful place!

My sister and I stayed at the hotel on our last 3 days of our vacation. The hotel staff went above and beyond the call of duty.
Only one thing that needs to be taken into consideration is the street that the hotel is on. We walked from the cable lift from the top of Taormina to the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance. However, the road that it's on could be a little difficult to navigate with luggage due to speeding cars and no sidewalk at certain points of the road. So, be cautious.
The hotel is worth the walk, however.

Not the best location if you want to enjoy the beach....

Although the hotel is by the shore, it does not have an accessible beach from its premises as it may be expected from the description; it only has a solarium built on top of the rocks of the shore. The location is not bad from the point of view of walking distance to the cable car that takes you to the historic center but it is very dangerous to walk the distance as there are no sidewalks and traffic is fast. Therefore, if your interest is in exploring the historic center, this is not the best location. Also, a railroad track runs along the shore and by the property. It is not extremely noisy but trains run frequently from early morning to late night.
No English speaking channels on the TV.

Great Service - Beautiful Hotel - Shame about the trains

Stayed at the hotel in May.

The first thing that strikes you is the beautiful hotel and gardens. This hotel is well maintained , exceptionally clean. Eating breakfast out on the sun terrace is a joy.

Free car parking facilities, but imagine it's a bit of a squash in summer.

Service - the staff here were EXCEPTIONAL. They couldn't have done more to make our stay more pleasant. Always a smile, always happy to offer advice and make you feel valued. We checked out at 5am on the final day and they made sure that we have a very well stocked packed lunch each.

Rooms are fairly basic, but very comfortable and clear. We had a nice balcony and seaview. Bathroom was OK, but no bath unfortunately (think this is a bit of an italian thing).

OK, so what lets this htel down - one thing - the trains. Literally, the trains pass 15 away from the hotel. Through the day it's fine to live with, at 5am in the morning it is not. After our first early wake up we were very tired. No double glazing, but even if there was the freight train would still wake you up. On the Friday morning there were trains probably as frequently as every 15 mins. Saturday seemed much better though. I think your body adjusts.

So, earplugs - don't forget them. But yes, on balance I would stay here again despite the trains.

As for Taormina, it's sophisticated and one of the nicest places I've ever visited. Not hugely expensive, very scenic and a trip up Mt Etna is a must.

First they tried to give as a massive “ downgrade” ( room without real window ) - after showing the booking this was fixed, but without any apologies. On the other hand staff was very enthusiastic and helpful regarding the surrounding/ restaurants and tours.

Le personnel très sympathique et à l’écoute. malheureusement il y a un énorme problème d’humidité dans les chambres. Nous avons changé trois fois car l’air y était irrespirable. Le petit déjeuner est très complet, bonne literie. Très belle vue de l’hôtel sur la mer et un accès direct à la plage. Gros bémol : l’hôtel est à 20m de la voie ferrée donc beaucoup de bruit aux passages des trains. Par contre, je ne recommanderai pas l’hôtel aux couple avec enfants car pour aller en ville c est très dangereux il n’y a pas de trottoir et il faut longer véritablement la voie nationale à pied avec les voitures et camions qui vous frôlent. Merci toutefois encore à la réceptionniste qui a fait de son mieux pour nous changer de chambre à chaque fois

We went to neighbor beach for easier access.

Trevligt ställe inklämt mellan tåg och väg med vidunderlig utsikt. Lite svårt att gå till stan då trafiken är nära och tät, ingen trottoar. Ca 400m till linbanan som ju fungerar bra upp till stan. Mysiga restauranger runtomkring. Väldigt varm och familjär personal.

Think carefully before you book!

Formerly a very nice hotel but has gotten quite rundown and need a renovation.
IMPORTANT INFO: the hotel is just by the railway tracks and the insolation is not enough to keep the noice out. The trains run from 6.00-23.00. The drains were completely clogged upon check-in.
To get to Taormina-tram you need to walk up a road which was not made for pedestrians.

The staff at the hotel are nice and the view was incredible but sadly the shortcomings don’t make up for it.

Flott hotell.

Fabiana i resposjon som tok emot oss ved incheck var fantastisk. Veldig imøtekommende og blid. Hun gav oss masse gode tips å råd under oppholdet. Generellt så var alle som arbeidet på hotellet kjempe flinke og hyggelige. Hotellet anbefalles på det sterkeste, på grunn av beliggenhet, renslighet. Fine rom og staff som jobber på hotellet. Nære til strand og fantastik utsikt fra rommet. Frukosten kunde vært litt mer utvalg men alt i alt så hadde vi et fantastisk opphold.

Bel hotel ancien de style baroque. Petit dejeuner copieux et cafe excellent sur.la.terrasse panoramique. Cadre verdoyant. Seul bemol l'accès a la plage. la rentrée dans leau a la limite dangereuse. Il.faudrait refaire le debarquadaire et couper les.cannes pour avpir plus soleil en fin d'après-midi. Lacceuil.etait superbe et tres.chalzureux avec de bons conseils

Die Baia delle Sirene liegt etwas des großen Trubels von Mazzaro, direkt zwischen der Hauptstraße und der Bahnstrecke.
Gebucht war ein Deluxe-Doppel oder Zweibettzimmer mit Meerblick. Was jetzt der Luxus war, wissen wir nicht genau. Das Zimmer war weder besonders groß, auch das Bad war sehr klein. Noch dazu war die Ausstattung insgesamt alt bei dem Zimmer im EG, das wir hatten. Meerblick war etwas viel versprochen, der Balkon war zwar in Richtung Meer, im EH war davon aufgrund der Pflanzen und Bäume aber nichts zu sehen. Oft angespannt war auch die Parkplatzsituation, so dass man besser mit einem kleinen Auto anreist. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse ist wunderbar. Das Personal nicht unfreundlich, könnte aber aufmerksamer sein und einige sprachen auch kein Englisch.
Die Bahnstrecke vorm Fenster war überraschenderweise nicht wirklich störend in der Nacht.
Der Strand des Hotels ist besser als keiner, aber wirklich schön sind die 5-7 Liegen auf Beton mit Zugang ins Wasser über eine provisorisch wirkende Rampe aus Gerüstteilen nicht.
Insgesamt aber ein hübsches Hotel mit Potential für mehr, wir hätten auch mehr erwartet. Vermutlich sind die renovierten Zimmer besser, hätte ich bei einem Deluxe-Zimmer eigentlich erwartet.

Nice stay

You can totally relax for holiday there. A nice garden and can walk to the beach. A very special experience for seeing the train to run under the house.

The ladies are very nice to take care of all of us and well introduction for sight seeing.

My friend stay in hotel all day, and felt so peace while he just walk around the garden.

Gute Lage, 10 Gehminuten von der Seilbahn entfernt. Eigener Parkplatz, sehr schöne Dachterrasse mit Bar und Restaurant. Sonnenterrasse am Meer (steinuger Meerzugang). Zimmer eher einfach. Für ein paar Tage zwecks Besichtigungen gut geeignet.

The hotel is a bit old but it was nice. The room was clean and there was a small balcony opening to the garden. The receptionist ladies were really kind and helpful. We had a problem with the safe and she helped us to arrange it. They have a free parking space. They serve breakfast in the terrace restaurant with an amazing sea view. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. The hotel has a private beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas. But the beach is full of huge rocks and it is usually wavy so it was difficult to swim there. Instead we went to the nearby beaches like Tao beach etc. It was better with small pebbles in terms of swimming. But be prepared to pay 20 euros pp for sunbeds and umbrellas. If you want to visit the city centre, you can walk to the cable car stop. It is not far from the hotel. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place.

Dejligt feriehotel med eget strand og restaurant

Et fortryllende sted. Men føler sig omgivet af diskret omsorg, villaen har et indbydende genius loci, alt er rent og pænt vedligeholdt, indretningen er simpel, men komfortabel, køknet i hotellets egen restaurant er udmærket, der serveres vin fra Etna området, friske fiskeretter, dejlig brod. Hotellet har en direkt adgang til havet med en lille terrasse og solskærme. Det er fordelagtigt at sørge for badesandaler, da stranden er klippefuld. Vi fortryder ikke for et øjeblik at havde valgt dette hotel til vores ferieophold.
