The location was perfect. Breakfast was great! All the staff were really kind. Joao check us in and he was really great!
They had a playpen setup for us with really cute baby bedding and toiletries. Which was appreciated.
Room was a bit small but we were only there for one night.

We had a wonderful stay at the Iguazu Jungle Lodge! The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very good, for both the included breakfast and for dinner. I love how natural the surroundings are and especially loved our balcony looking over the river and jungle. There are a few other comments mentioning the surrounding neighborhood being less than desirable, but we didn’t have any problem with it and enjoyed walking to town. Overall a fantastic place and I would highly recommend it!

Ipanema Inn is a perfect landing spot for a trip to Rio. 1 block from the beach, 1 block to the Metro. Very nice neighborhood. And, not the least, hospitality is above and beyond. Our room was super clean and after staying for a week my husband and I feel rested.

I have stayed at the Ipanema Inn since 1982, I have seen it go from a simple low cost hotel to what I consider now a very nice modern hotel. This hotel is cozy, the rooms are not big, but they are very comfortable, modern, and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom has everything from cleanliness to a modern style. The staff is the best, and down in the lobby you have a restaurant and a full bar. I highly recommend this hotel to the traveler who is looking for a clean, safe, friendly family style hotel without bankrupting your wallet. Great place I will always stay there.

I and my girlfriend had an wonderful stay at Ipanema Inn. The staff is absolutely courteous, the included breakfast is amazing and the location is perfect. I was expecting kind of a normalish inn based on the pictures, but the room was very nice and was kept clean daily. Many bonus points to the in-room hammock! We had a great leisure time.

The room, the staff and the neighborhood around it plus the access to the beach makes it a perfect spot if you’re in Ipanema. There was construction next door so it got really loud sometimes especially when you want to enjoy a meal and coffee on the patio.

I stayed at Ipanema Inn for a few nights during a solo trip to Rio and would stay again if I’m back. From check-in to assisting with booking any tours/tickets/dinner reservations Fred at the front desk was always so helpful and greeted me by name every time he was there. Fred made it so easy to plan my adventures, helped with suggestions anytime I needed, was very responsive on WhatsApp when I was out exploring Rio, and spoke great English which helped my lack of Portuguese. The rest of the staff was also great and friendly. The hotel restaurant is nicely decorated and had a delicious and varied breakfast that looked much betterhan what some other hotels in the area offered. I had the filet for dinner at the hotel one night that was perfectly cooked and the fruit tartar desert was delicious. The hotel is centrally located in Ipanema and was a quick walk to nearby restaurants, bars, beach, Arpoador/Leblon were a short ~15 min walk away, and so easy to get an Uber for anywhere else in Rio. I felt very safe walking around the hotel area alone even at night. Being able to grab a beach towel from the front desk and walk straight down the street to the beach chair/umbrella stand (included if you tell them your staying at the inn) made it so easy to enjoy a perfect beach day (although there are also some nicer looking beach clubs a short walk either direction on the beach that I’d check out too). Thanks Ipanema Inn (and Fred) for making my stay in Rio great!

We had a great time at the property. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with great options. We had dinner at the property one night and the food was also great. We stayed in the standard room (comfortable bed and sheets, the shower pressure was great and the cleaning stuff did a great job every day during our stay). We loved the location ( 2 min walk from the beach and lots to do around the hotel). It was also great not having to worry about renting beach chairs and umbrellas as they provided both.

This is a cute Boutique Hotel a block from the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is super accommodating and friendly. They explain everything very well. The food is fantastic! The breakfast is fresh and well-balanced and their other menu options are just as good. I loved their octopus!
The area around the hotel is walkable and has many food options, shopping, and the beach! I would definitely stay here again!

There was sand on top of the bed underneath the bed scarf. The room was tiny and the bathroom shower sliding glass door made an extremely loud screeching sound even when moved a few inches. The only thing that saves the hotel is location, also the cleaning staff. But the rest is just terrible, the front desk is super mean, also get ready because they can not accommodate you earlier even if they have an empty room. So if you have an early arrival like me, you have to reserve a room one day before. Also, there is no lobby, it's a big restaurant at the entrance ( always packed) a mess... Anyways there are so many options of hospitality in Rio that if you still booking this one, good lucky.

Ipanema in was closed for renovations but we were conveniently rebooked at the Arpoador Hotel. The service and location were amazing, staff was very friendly too. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar. Minor disadvantage was the room size, litteraly no room to open your luggage. Other than that everything was perfect including the restaurant.

One of the best decisions we made for our trip!

We stayed here 5 nights during Carnival, and the hotel turned out to be one of the best decisions we made for our trip. First, the hotel is in one of the nicest and safest neighborhoods. It is fairly quiet (which is nice when catching up on sleep) yet conveniently located just one block from the beach and only a few blocks from a metro stop. This made it easy to get to most things in Rio when not taking an Uber, which are fairly cheap as well. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. They spoke English well and were able to answer any questions we had about Carnival and Rio in general. A nice plus was that they provided beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas free of charge. As for the rooms, we knew they would be a little on the small side for 2 people going into it, but they were still modern and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Hotel breakfast has a decent spread of options including made-to-order omelets. Overall would definitely stay again!

The location of this property is everything. So much so that it makes you overlook some of the other deficiencies. The staff is really top notch for a boutique hotel. The restaurant is quite good. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could use some work, hair dryers not in good condition in both rooms we stayed. But I would say overall the welcoming attitude of everyone on property really overcame any shortcomings. So many delicious things to shop, eat, drink and beach at your fingertips.

After a long vacation in Brazil, this hotel gave us the best value for money.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast in the Quitéria were superb as were meals and happy hour which was 2 hours.
The hotel is within easy walking of the sea and metro and a lot of shops restaurants and bars. The beach looks lovely.
Our room was a bit cramped although we had a superking size bed.

Perfect location if you want to get to the beach and be in a safe area to walk around at night for food options. Staff was incredibly helpful both in allowing me a very early check-in with none of the fuss or threat of extra costs that normally occur at other hotels. The Ipanema Inn was a great place to stay as a solo traveler and I would definitely go back if I am ever in rio again. The front desk team, especially Marco was so helpful and kind.

The location was great, walking distance to all the main shopping and restaurants and also had a security guard out front in addition to being a block from the beach.

The only thing I could comment on was the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was hair and the shower had not been cleaned well. But other than that the room was small, tidy, but efficient.

Terrific location, very near beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff are helpful and patient. The breakfasts are very good, served in the restaurant, which is also very good. It is close to a subway station entrance, making travel to other areas easy. The place is minimalist but stylish, bathrooms are rather small, I would recommend taking the largest room you can manage. Great staff, great welcome, good and varied breakfast, rooms just what we needed and nice and modern, they give you umbrellas, chairs and towels to go to the beach. They organized a tour for us which we loved.

So close to the beach (1 minute), and Ipanema is so much nicer than Copacabana. The back streets around the hotel are great for quality restaurants and good shopping.

The hotel is very well situated less than one block from the beach in Ipanema. Rooms are quite small but comfortable. There is no pool and really no area within the hotel to just sit back and relax. They have a disorganized management and various days at 2pm our room had not been cleaned. Breakfast is quite nice as it has many healthy options to eat, however they did not have some stuff on the kitchen menu that you could order out of. I would recommend this more for business than for a vacation although wifi was pretty weak in the room as well and even though I told them about it nothing was done.

Great hotel close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff is super nice and always happy to help. The hotel has a partnership with a nearby gym. The breakfast is also very good. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable.
