This was the cutest little hotel! I loved everything about it. The view from the balcony was lovely and the room itself was comfortable. The photos do not do it justice. The staff was kind and accommodating. I’d definitely come back to stay!

Hotel was ok, we didn’t find it wonderful as per some reviews sadly. No air conditioning. Didn’t feel staff were approachable if I’m being honest. Out of our 9 stops on our road trip through Italy, 1 being wonderful, it ranked number 6 for us.

Beautiful place, clean and great location. So picturesque with the balcony and water view. They provided a map with directions on how to get there from the ferry to avoid stairs. I would recommend this option if you also have a suitcase. I would definitely come back!

Very nice B and B, although we didn’t have breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Only downside was it is quite noisy (could hear the man next door yawning and flushing the chain) and a bit of a trek to the Bellagio prom area. Not too far, but lots of steps. It was fine for us but maybe not for a much older couple?

Unavoidable in this area, but a steep hill to climb every trip out. Private, secure, a simple but very efficient tea/coffee/ice service. Bfast okay and delivered to room at no extra charge. I would like a king size bed as double a bit short. Like all Italian service, it was not very friendly. (The staff were clueless where we were from or anything else about us).

The woman that 'greeted' us was probably the most horrible,vile person I have ever dealt with at a hotel. Our trip in Italy up to that point was filled with joy and lovely people. What a shock it was to have to deal with Cruella deVille. We arrived at the hotel a little early so asked if we could store our bags until the room was ready. Absolutely not! It was very, very hot and as it had said on the booking : \"Optional extras: Air conditioning fee: EUR 5 per night\" we said we would like the air conditioning. She said \"No - the air conditioning is broken. But it is cold here at night. I sleep with blankets up to my neck. If you wanted air conditioning you should have checked that box\" Guess what? There is no such box on the booking site for their hotel. Then she said. I have a two bedroom instead of your two rooms but only one bathroom and no view. We really didn't want that but would have if she bothered to say it had air conditioning. That night and the next were so hot that I thought I would die. Certainly didn't need a \"blanket up to my neck\"! Not only that but the bed was like a cement brick. No matter how I turned I could not get comfortable. My traveling companion, who has some hip problems thought she was going to have to go to the hospital the next day she was in such pain from her bed. There was also the most distasteful notice on the back of the door, written in red about not bleeding on the sheets. Worst accommodations ever!!!! I would rather have slept in the car.

Disappointing - spend your money somewhere else

Summary of our stay at one of the apartments:
We were given a different apartment than we had confirmed, but the owner, rudely, denied this was the case.
The ‘welcome’ from the female host was cold and more like we were an inconvenience than paying customers.
The ‘lake view’ was only visible from the bedroom, not the bed though and largely obscured by a tree (see photos)
The kitchen area had no natural light and the living room had old, outdated furniture and a completely impractical layout (small sofa with a dining table and four chairs between that and the TV)
The second twin room (unnecessary for us luckily), is in the basement and down a steep flight of stone stairs.
We weren’t provided any basics for a self catering stay. A dishwasher, but no tablets, a coffee machine, but no pods, washing up sponge, but no drying up cloth. When they have a sign up saying they’ll charge €30 if you don’t clean everything and return it to the cupboard before check out then perhaps providing some materials to do that properly would be appreciated?!
The bed is very uncomfortable, sagging in the middle and the pillows were like rock.
The outdoor furniture was either covered in debris or so old and rickety it felt risky using it.

If you are looking to stay somewhere welcoming and comfortable with decent customer service then choose another local establishment and avoid this one.

I could say a lot more, but there’s a character limit for reviews!

Hotel location was perfect. Pescallo bay is absolutely beautiful. Only a 10 min walk into Bellagio centre, Nuccia will tell you the way and show you everywhere you should go on a map. Cheap bottles of prosecco available at reception, pay the extra for a lake view and drink on your balcony. Would definitely return!

Outstanding, we will be back.

We visited Bellagio for a wedding venue nearby and wanted something fairly central. The owners were friendly and helpful from the offset and we found our room clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake from our balcony. The breakfast was very good and my wife is gluten intollerent but they had made special purchases for her even though there was a lot of choice.
They kindly gave us a lift to the wedding pick up point, which was a boat crossing, rather than struggle in heels to get to the boat point in the centre.
We would highly recommend this accommodation and fell in love with Bellagio as an area. The food in the nearby restaurants was amazingly tasty and fresh and the locals very friendly. One owner gave us a lift home one night which we found very kind as he went out of his way.
The wedding itself is the best we have ever had the pleasure of being a guest at and it was a very romantic break. One not to forget.

We stayed here for three nights of our honeymoon. The hotel is gorgeous, in a quiet, beautiful area of Bellagio, with amazing views of the lake and the mountains. The family who run the B&B are lovely, really nice and welcoming, even offering us bug spray when we were sitting outside! The garden is beautifully kept, and all around the garden are deckchairs and seats where you can sit and enjoy a bottle of wine whenever you fancy. Sitting in the shade in the middle of these gorgeous surroundings is a great way to spend the hotter part of the afternoon!

Our room was clean and spacious, with a lovely terrace which was great to chill on in the evenings. The breakfast was very generous with lots to choose from, and there are tea and coffee making facilities available all day.

The location is quiet and serene, about 10 minutes walk from Bellagio town centre. A word of warning though- Bellagio is a hilly town! The walk to Bellagio involves walking up a number of steep cobbled steps, so may not be great for someone with reduced mobility. However, the walk is a very pleasant one, and gives you the opportunity to see the tiny fishing area of Pescallo, which is extremely beautiful. There is also a place there where you can swim in the lake if you wish.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Miralago B&B, and will definitely stay here again if we return to Bellagio!

Beautiful Surprise!

I couldn't be MORE surprised at this BnB. It states itself as 2 stars, but I felt that it was a 5 star service and area. The rooms were gorgeous and clean, the views spectacular, lots of choice for breakfast and the area was quiet but close enough to centre to walk. I could not recommend this place enough. If you have the option go for the balcony room! Unfortunately I was unable to, but manage to peep into another room and it was spectacular!

Amazing location with view of east side of Lake Como. Francesca and her team work very hard to provide a wonderful stay. Delicious breakfast with the best fruit and pastries. (Eggs, ham and cheeses also provided.) We spent many hours enjoying the view on our balcony and the songs of the happy birds. The bathroom is small, but functional. We loved the fresh air through the (non-screened) windows.

The cakes and pastries at breakfast were a nice touch. Suggest contacting the hotel to arrange taxi or pickup for you as it is a difficult walk and taxis nowhere to be seen at the ferry terminal.

Our stay at Miralago was top notch! Easy to get to in Bellagio, it's not in the frey of the main drag establishments of the village, hence so much more peaceful. The innkeeper was a delight, and her B & B rooms were cozy, nicely appointed and with comfy bedding.

Bed and Breakfast is located good 15 minutes walk to beautiful Bellagio. Our room (room 1) unfortunately did not face the lake, but was clean and airy. Shower is TINY! I am pretty small, but found it uncomfortably small.
You can park your car for free on the street or behind the gate by the hotel for 5 Euro. Breakfast was good with lots of various pastries.

We had an apartment in Villa Rosa above the B&B. It's location was actually perfect. A 10 minute walk into Bellagio. In the morning a beautiful sunrise view of the lake. In the evening we sat in our private garden with wine. Close to Bellagio but away from the noise and traffic. Villa was spotless. Large bathroom with walk in shower. Loved staying here.

Kindly the staff let us drop our bags off at the room and check in early. But overall the staff were unfriendly and we felt like an inconvenience, after 26 hours from Sydney to Milan this wasn't the best welcome to Italy.
The overall experience of the apartment was underwhelming. Okay if you want to be out of the main village but its a decent walk into and out of Bellagio, we had two young children who coped okay with this as both are good walkers but they were exhausted and cranky at the end of each day. In retrospect I would have stayed somewhere in town, or if you're looking for something really amazing, stay at Hotel de Luc in Varenna. We visited there for lunch and it was incredible with one of the best meals we have had in italy.

We, my girlfriend and I, stayed in Miralago for 3 nights in end of August, and we loved our stay. The place was quite, clean and closely located to town. The owner gave us some great suggestions. The room was small (especially the bathroom) but our view was spectacular. The doors of the balcony were opening on a view of Lago di Como!! The breakfast was basic but good. Parking was easy to find close to the hotel. We would stay here again for sure!

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful view!

Miralago was more than I expected. I can't believe it doesn't have more stars! We had a wonderful room, a gorgeous terrace with stunning views of the lake, and the service was incredible - such helpful staff. On arrival we were bombarded with maps, tour guides, restaurant recommendations etc. We were even offered a lift to the ferry port on check-out! (With our heavy backpacks, this surprising offer nearly made me cry!) Honestly, you couldn't ask for more.

The B&B was also far closer to Bellagio centre than I was anticipating. It's, at the most, a 10 minute walk (part of it is uphill but it just means you earn your pasta and pizza!). Miralago is on the non-tourist side of Bellagio and it's a lot quieter and more peaceful. I think that was one of it's charms - to get to Bellagio from the B&B, you walk through a wonderful little street that truly shows the trusting, safe, Italian community of Bellagio, where the residents greet you on their doorstop at whatever time of the day.

If I return, I will be staying at Miralago again without a doubt. Such a great B&B. Highly recommend!

Lovely little b & b in a peaceful position

We spent a week at the Miralago and enjoyed it very much. Our bedroom was comfortable with a good sized balcony and beautiful views across the lake to the mountains. Breakfasts were excellent with an amazing choice of food for a small b&b. There was a lovely garden with nooks and crannies for chairs and sun loungers. The location in the village of Pescallo was beautiful. The village is small, peaceful and picturesque and is only a ten minute walk over the hill to Bellagio.

Lovely apartment very comfortable and well equipped, we were very unlucky with the weather it poured with rain every day and was quite cold in May, no heat that we could turn on in the apartment, presume because of the time of year and we could have done with some to dry off and warm up.
Also bit of a mess regarding making payment, website informed me I would pay whilst there and no money would be taken beforehand and the card details were just needed to confirm the booking, however full payment was taken without any notification to me, in 10 different transactions from my debit card a week before we were due to arrive, costing me a foreign transaction fee for each transaction, apparently the hotel has changed their payment terms and hotels.com were unaware. Just beware what card you use thinking it's just to confirm booking, it caused me no end of problems having all the money taken from that card.
Owners, mother & daughter, were nice enough on our arrival but not really understanding of the problems it causes regarding the wrong info on payment terms, did give us a complimentary breakfast for the payment fiasco but obviously not really a problem free, relaxing trip, having had a row with the owners over the phone and hotels.com, who were useless, before we even arrived!

Room with a view of Lake (no.4) but cramped space hardly room for double bed let alone two adults. Had balcony but again v.small. toilet and shower room even more cramped 34\" wide and about 7 to 8' long. Could hardly sit on loo as sink was in the way, had to get into yoga positions to fit. Ridiculously small. No tea or coffee in room so had to buy from downstairs. Not good enough at the price I paid €110 per night. Breakfast was OK and plentiful but again everything was crammed into small spaces only one person could get at food at any one time. The food was very fresh however and tasty with lovely fruit fresh bread cold meats and cheese being the main fare. The coffee machine was inadequate for the numbers at busy times serving woefully small amounts so each person had to press 3 buttons capacino, extra milk,extra hot water to get a full cup! The staff were OK but not many smiles about and the head lady was a bit scary. Overall passable.

Great family run hotel in beautiful Bellagio. Really friendly staff, happy to supply lots of gluten free options for breakfast and even gave us a lift back to the ferry port on departure.

Finest B&B in Italy

Didn't really know what to expect. Got a balcony room with a lake view. (YOU MUST DO THIS IF YOU GO). It was awesome. We even went to town one day and brought back pizza and a couple of bottles of wine to sit and watch the sun go down. If you need wine and don't want to bring it from town, you can always buy wine from the hotel (not much of an upcharge and may be well worth it - we did buy some Presecco one evening). All-in-all, this is a MUST STAY place for me if we go back... The prices were VERY reasonable especially compared to other places. We stayed in room 4, it was clearly the best room for the views. Ask for that room if you can. SOOOOO GOOD.

Great Experience!

We had a lovely two night stay. The innkeepers were friendly and very accommodating telling us about the things to do in the area. There was a resident cat who was friendly and we appreciated that as we were missing our two cats. They made hot chocolate for us one evening and the other evening they brought beer and wine to our room. We had a balcony with lake view which was gorgeous.

Definitely walking distance into Bellagio, situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Miralago Nuovo is a great place to stay. Breakfast was on par with much more expensive places that we stayed and also the service was really excellent. 2* is the official rating but you'd be fooled to think it's higher than that.

Friendly B&B

Bellagio is beautiful but very busy. This little gem is a good 10 minute walk through an up and down alley but is worth it. Very friendly and quiet, amazing breakfast. Room is reasonable size but ensuite is tiny, no balcony on side rooms. Cost10 Euro by taxi from ferry, don't try and walk there with bags-too many stairs. Host drove us back to ferry which was great bonus.

This Bed and Breakfast is on the other side of town, but very clean, well run, with a wonderful breakfast. The people who run the place are extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The gorgeous view from the balcony is the cherry on top.

Excellent location.

Great location. Quiet area, away from the crowds but a short walk away (about 10 mins) from the main town. Hotel owners go above and beyond to help make your stay as pleasurable as possible. When we arrived, the guy who checked us in took time to illustrate on a hotel map places to visit, local restaurants and the quickest ways to get about. It was this which really stood out as he really took the time to ensure our trip got off to the best possible start.

Rooms are a little small but they are clean and comfortable. The view of the lake from the balcony was lovely and something that really took our breath away when we arrived.

Very nice continental breakfast served in a small dining room with coffee and tea served by the staff.

Free car parking available outside of the hotel, also available in the hotel car park for a small fee.

Overall, would definitely recommend staying here. We would stay again in the future.

5 STAR HOSPITALITY LAKE COMO

Stayed at Miralago in October 2014 as first leg of Italian trip taking in Bellagio (3nights), Milano (3nights)and Amalfi (4nights). Without doubt, our stay at Miralago was the highlight of our trip. Please do not be put off by the star rating - it is a real gem. From the warmest of welcomes, the complimentary tea tray to our room on arrival, to the feeling of being appreciated as a guest, it was just superb. Yes, the bedroom and ensuite were on the small size, but well and truly made up for by the views, location and superb hospitality. We paid extra for a lake balcony view (top floor has marvellous lake view) and were so pleased we did - magical setting whilst enjoying a bottle purchased from reception. The breakfasts are legendary - emphasis on fresh produce, not to mention the home baked pastries. From previous reviews we wondered whether this was the location for us (Pescallo)- uphill etc but it proved to be so much better than staying along the lake's edge. On the morning of departure, the owner drove us down to catch the ferry to Varenna from where we took the train to Milano Centrale.

Great stay, a lovely B&B

We stayed at the Nuovo Miralago for 5 nights and had a great stay. The rooms are well kept and spacious enough, and although we didnt get a lake view room, the view of the garden was beautiful.
The owner is very friendly and goes out of her way to help. She even drove us down to the ferry when we were leaving.
If you aren't driving, the b&b is a 10-15 minute walk from the bellagio town centre, which can be a tough walk if you take the steps nearby, but all worth it in my opinion!
Breakfast is very good too, made all the more enjoyable if you sit outside in the garden.
The only issue some might have is the lack of air conditioning,as although there is a fan in the room, it might not be enough on hotter nights.

Great place to stay, excellent breakfast

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of May and were greeted by the very friendly and informative hotel owner who provided us with lots of tips and information on Bellagio. The rooms were of a good size, very clean and comfortable.

It is located within walking distance to Bellagio and we were treated to an excellent breakfast each morning with freshly brewed coffee. The staff were always very helpful and gave us a lift to the ferry terminal on our last day.

Peaceful Relaxing B&B Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nuovo Miralago. Andre and his mother run the B&B, and they were extremely helpful and friendly. Andre gave us many great hiking and sight-seeing tips around the area. Our quaint room was wonderful - very clean and well-decorated. There was a lovely garden out back with a patio - perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine along with their very friendly Irish Setter and cat. The breakfast was delicious, with an incredible spread of pastries and huge assortment of food. The B&B is located just off of quiet Pescallo Bay, which is about a 10 minute walk up and over the hill from the main part of Bellagio. We found this to be a perk, as this side of Bellagio was much more peaceful and quiet, with far fewer tourists. Andre even offered to give us a ride to the bus station when we left.

Great views from balcony

This gem was a great find in Bellagio. The room was well appointed and the balcony view was quite nice. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed our 10 minute way down to the ferries. The front desk attendant also drove us down to the dock our last day since we had our bags. Great service and very relaxing stay
